I have been using DHGATE to procure items, in quantity, for resale. Some shipments have been defect free while with others, I spent more time issuing refunds than selling. The allure of DH is that the prices are much lower than Alibaba or wholesale US factories. I have personally created a Blacklist of sellers that I will not order from due to the high number of defects in their product. I am willing to share this list to anyone interested. This list is based solely on my experience and nothing else.
I have read other DHGATE reviews where users claim they were scammed. This has not been my experience. The sellers are all willing to resolve the issues with me, the problem is that my company's reputation takes a hit by selling defective product. Reputation may be the most valuable asset a business has, all other things being equal. DHGATE has built in, automated policies which will resolve your problem. Simply follow the System Messages and do not be hot headed.

Be aware that DHgate sells a lot of fakes. Last months, I have purchased lots of Js from their website and they were really terrible. One of the shoes had poor padding quality as it constantly rubbed my ankle and plastic was on midsole was cheaply made and easily peeled off. Currently, I am disputing with one of the sellers regarding to a fake AJ11 he sent me. The shoes had distorted patent leather as it didn't lined up at center line and didn't have any carbon fibers. When I asked the seller for refund, he refused to answer. I opened a dispute with DHgate and demanded return shipping address, but DHgate is dragging the process so long and keep sending me message that they are waiting for a sellers response. It has been 3 weeks and I didn't hear anything yet. Why don't they just give the customer refund if seller is uncooperative? If you want to buy real shoes, go to Ebay or go to Nike Outlet stores. They always guarantee hassle free experience than those dishonest Chinese commies.

It's okay to buy through DHgate but you cannot take bigger risk. If you receive wrong item and you contact customer service and customer service doesn't know what he is doing then you get cheated by the seller.

I was going to order a set of golf clubs and video camera. It was very difficult for their system to except my credit card. I tried many times My suspicions were aroused. So, I gave it one more try but on a cheaper item, a memory card. The order was accepted. Ive waited over 7 weeks still not arrived. Luckily I did not attempt to buy the golf clubs or camera.

Need full refund

Hi dear,

I ordered dress for 139USD
I am disappointed and I would like to return the dress back.
There are many defects:

Zipper is white (on green dress), above on grid fabric - could be buttons.

Dress is sidelong

Dress is made curved, was sewn wrong/terribly.

Material defect on sleeve.

The material didn't... match the website

It was standart 14 size. You will sell it for somebody else.

Later I will sent you more photos (I will try on again).

What is my next step to do? I need to get all money back.

Hello All, if you are considering odering from DHgate, DON'T DO IT! Yes, the prices are great--too good to be TRUE, true because its just a set-up and the more I research the site and its vendors the more I learn. Its just too bad I didn't see or even look for the reviews in all my excitement but now I'm getting the running arounds, the lies and being put off on the sellers who don't respond to what they already know is a scam and defective products. All we can do now is file...
Today is my last attempt to resolve this matter before moving forward to my next recourse which I have already began. Its a shame that so many of us are being robbed and taken advantage of in the very same and identical ways despite the differences in products we purchased.

When I cancelled my order for an LED light, the seller said they could give me a refund. But then the seller said that DHGate told them that they had to ship the product, so they shipped it already. They sent me the tracking number and it was a fake one. This company is such bulls**t. Then I'm like this is a little weird, and guess what! The package didn't even arrive! On the website it said that if I don't get the package, I could contact them on May 19th. BUT THEn, the f***ing company changed the page and said that I could contact them on May 21st. LIKE WHAT THE HELL. This company is a disgusting rotten piece of sh*t. I want my $209 dollars back. I will sue DHGate if you don't fix this soon. If you guys keep doing business you won't last.

Purchased very expensive bubble tent £650 poor quality torn bare wires blower wouldn't work attempted for over 10 days to open dispute to stop payment via dhgate website very conveniently would not work to open dispute/ refund request or send evidence (on about 50 occasions) customer service via robot with no contact available to speak and complain website worked exceptionally well to take payment promising all kinds of (false) payment protection procedures so you would trust them and purchase from them absolutely disgraceful non existent after service they should be ashamed I would appreciate a reply thankyou

You mentioned that our website did not work when you tried filing an After-sale Dispute, please send us a screenshot on the error or the page you see which is not letting you go further so that we can check more details. Stay away!

These people take your money and give you nothing. When you complain, they send a fake DHL tracking number. And when you bring this to their attention, they offered a partial refund of 1 cent. That's right. For a dress that I paid almost $200 for and didn't receive, they want to partially refund me 1 cent. I complained so they then sent me a arbitration link that does not work. When I brought that to their attention, they sent another like that says that I can only apply for arbitration between the 13th and 18th May. What's the date today? Yah. I've been had. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I order a ck100 key programmer 3 mounts ago and never receive it so made a complaint and they send me a use one broken doesn't event turn on over heats its the second time i receive use stuff from them broken or not working and to return to the seller is more then i pay for it or equal so im stuck whit the junk so think about buying any electronic stuff from them the best place i found is obd365 they are ow some and they send all your order in 1 box not 1 by 1 so you dont have to pay multi border fees that cool multi orders 1 box and 1 border fee think about it never again...

Again another message from DHgates stating that they are again looking into the issue and noticed I did this and that but still have yet to give my full refund for the wrong item shipped and for shipping cost! MY NEXT STEP IS COURT! MY CHILD MISSED HER PROM! They have deleted me so I couldn't write reviews I will continue to write until I receive $145.01 for the dress/drapes that you sent and 50.00 for shipping a 3 lb dress that I told you I didn't want!

I will not order from them again. Accessed live chat to find my order today. I waited at least an hour to get connected, then the agent could not even tell me when my package (that I ordered 2 weeks ago!) would arrive. Only thing they could say was that it had arrived in the US. I feel scammed.

Fast shipping/Great service

I am very pleased with DHgate, I placed an order on their website, the site itself is a little frustrating, but the payment and checkout was simple and my package was shipped promptly and received within 2 weeks. I have shopped other overseas sites and shipping is taking at least 2 months and in some cases almost 5 months to receive my order so I was surprised and happy to get my order so quickly. Nothing was broken and the items were exactly as described in the ad. This all makes me one happy shopper.

I have tried to contact DHGate for months now about a $500.00 product that is broken. I have gone through all of the steps to file a dispute, then mediation but DHgate has not responded back. When I go on there website and click on ongoing disputes, there is zero there. They are not supposed to release funds until the buyer says it's received and Okay. I have been doing business with them for years and have spent thousands without any problem with anything, great quality. I just want to warn anyone planning to shop with them, be prepared tp lose all of your money. I just lost $500.00

So I ordered a dress for my prom thinking I would like the way it turned out and I hated the outcome. The website ripped me off basically, I was so hurt and embarrassed. The dress I ordered was in royal blue and the sleeves were supposed to be sheer, however instead the sleeves were white, the material didn't match the website and the color looked darker than royal blue. I'm from Brooklyn! I know what a good prom dress is okay. Please stay away from this site! People from china just take your money and do whatever with it, it's really sad and I'm highly upset
