Dell used to be a great brand. I had Dell laptops before and repurchased them. Sadly the brand is no longer the quality it was and the customer service is no existence. I have had dozens of customer care reps hang up on me or transfer me while I was in the middle of speaking. They have put me on hold never to come back. Dell is no longer the great company it was - DONT BUY A DELL.
I will never buy a Dell again.
My laptop is Dell. At first it was functioning very well and I was well satisfied with it. But recently it began to make many problems and the battery backup is getting very low. When I talked about this with the service team, they have not responded with me properly.
I bought a TV in a deal from Dell. Its on the way. Came to know its a bad TV.
I am trying to contact them to stop the shipping, but not able to reach the customer support. Once it reaches me, they have 15% re-stocking fees.

I searched many sites for buying a computer for my daughter at last I got the dell.com website. I ordered the computer from this site and after two days they delivered the computer. But after one week the computer is not working well. Suddenly it will decrease the power and shut down. And this site did not provide the good service for me.
My laptop crashed when I was just making sure I would get updates from Intel. Tried to use Microsoft online process. I can't receive text message do to no cellphone to get code. Use backdoor to Microsoft which was a waste of time. Microsoft sent me to Dell who was even worse.
I ordered 2 laptops on separate transactions. Later I open ordered, it is asking contact customer support. I called them, took 1 hour to reach sales department. Finally they told that their party cupons were used by me, they can not re order / give laptop for such low price. It is waste if time, not gaureteee that we will get product
I thought dell had a great reputation, I was wrong. Bought a labtop $1500 =+ tax for my son. 4 months blue screen, bad harddrive. Tech came in after hours of contact with dell. Opened lap top and week later replaced the harddrive. But in doing so ruined the keys, as now are now popping off. Poor service, poor product. $1500+ have no value? Shame on dell. Recommend go to Costco. Good service and products. They ruined the alienware line of products also
I ordered a refurbished Alienware PC and after two days my order was cancelled. I called Dell to find out why it was cancelled and was told no one responded to the verification check. No verification email or phone call was ever received by me. I asked if it was too late to verify and and was told that it was no problem and that the system had not sold. The verification department told me that the order would go through the following morning. As of this writing, my PC has still been cancelled and I assume that I need to find another PC to order. You would think the service would be better for a $1900+ order. I have been ordering Dell PC's for many years and it is sad to see how far this once great company has fallen. Needless to say, I need to find another company to do business with moving forward.
I bought a new Dell Precision 5540 Mobile Workstation from Dell that costed $2000+ in May 2020. In two months the memory and graph card became faulty. Dell refused to replace with a new one and only offered to have their technician to come fix it after multiple calls to their customer service. When their technician came and looked into the machine, he suspected that we bought a refurbished PC by looking at labels of parts in the computer and asked us to show him the invoice. In the end he only offer to replace the memory and graph card in the machine using refurbished components.
I feel scammed to spend $2000+ to get a faulty refurbished PC from dell which was advertised as a brand new machine. Dell is such a low company now that they do not even allow customers to write reviews on their products on their web site. I have got it. I will not buy any more Dell computers. And I will not recommend Dell products to my friends and colleagues.
Dell has the worst customer service ever! We purchased a Dell laptop and software. It came without the software we purchased and the cursor didn't work properly. After a few attempts we finally got their technical support to try to fix our software problem but they couldn't get Microsoft office to work on our computer when they had remote access to it. We decided to just return it but by that time we were just beyond their 30 days policy. We tried day after day talking to a dozen customer service and 4 tech support people and 3 cases opened on this, Dell finance department rejected the first 2 cases... we again wait. All we want is our money back and a return label for a broken laptop that's totally unusable. It's like being in the twilight zone dealing with them going around and around. We didn't get what we paid for so let's undo this and move on. Never purchase anything from Dell!
Dell is actually pretty great. I bought an alienware laptop in 2012 and the puchase went smoothly. Plus Dell is one of the few companies that let you finance it so it makes it really easy to get. I bought a new alienware 13 last year... but I didn't like the pc itself so I returned it. The refund went smoothly and had no cost to me. Recently I bought the xps 13 and it's great. I will keep buying from Dell in the future :)
1. My order label mailing address was not the address I entered online and they changed my "The East Mall" to "The e mall". Courier tried twice but couldn't deliver.
2. It usually includes Windows support for Lenovo, Acer, and Asus, even if they just reinstall it for me it's acceptable. But Dell is asking me to upgrade my service plan or pay for each request.
3. My laptop has keyboard marks and I'm afraid it's from overheating. But they transferred my case to a paid cleaning services and closed my case without providing any advice.
We will never purchase another product from this company. My son saved for over ayear to purchase a gaming computer and it came with a 12 month warranty ($3,500.00). At 13 months, it died. DEAD, nothing he can do to fix it. Dell customer support told him they could not help him and that he could buy some support information. Are you kidding me?! Buy? You sold a $3,500.00 computer and at 13 months you offer no advise, no support until my son pays you?! You are the lowest of lows when it comes to customer service and support. You are a disgrace to deal with and your products are substandard - which is why you don't stand behind them.
The only computers and laptops I have owned/bought in the last 25 years have been Dells. Dell makes great products with great support behind them. The latest was last year (I had not bought a new tower in 10 years) was a XPS Tower Special Edition. I was able to customize it and add features I real needed and I got a great deal on it. What's not to like?! My 2010 tower ran like a top for over 10 years and I expect the new to do the same. I have had it for almost a year and it has been tremendous. Dell is my go to brand. We also have two Dell laptops in the house. Go Dell!
I have been trying to use my earned credit. One week an counting just to make a purchase. I have my credentials and all my dell info. Buy they ask me by email more and more info. I have chat with them several times, last thing is that I have to send an screenshot of my logged account plus and textual words that I authorize my purchases. This looks like a bad joke, screen are very easy to fake, and how is possible that having me on the phone they can't verify my identity/ownership of my reward. No words to describe... just bad costumer service and and horrible shopping experience.
5/06/20 Bought New printer from Dell. Hasn't worked right from the start. Called Dell CS 2-3 times wanting to return the printer, each time I was told to call and given the number for Ebson.(no Help) Reassured Dell CS take care of me during these issues with the printer. Long story short... 06/09/20 Had enough of the printer issues. Just wanted to return the printer and get a replacement from dell... Dell CS said Sorry to say the 30 return widow has closed, by two day one of the day was a holiday. Even though earlier The Dell CS we would take care of you... Dell is very much lacking in CS ethics. There over seas CS is horrible. I'm Owner of a small business. I will no longer deal with Dell.
This is completely absurd. I ordered gaming laptop for my son's birthday and did not recieved on time. I ordered it from Dell, which was a little more expensive than HP for the identical specs, mainly to ensure that it arrived on time. My son's birthday was destroyed by Dell's pathethic service.
I bought my Dell from a repair computer place. My Dell desktop I am using right now had been used at a school. It was wiped off all and was a bare bones. I bought it in 2013. It is a 2007. I am amazed myself it is still working. It will soon have to be replaced as it stops then starts up again...? Sometimes...(sometimes 4 times a days, sometimes runs for days) I use my Dell a lot and watch older movies or reruns of TV series. It has been a very good working machine. I have another Dell 2013 underneath this one I am writing about. Also used. It is a professional model too. Buying 2nd hand (for me is like buying a used car) Its proven already it will last and all the kinks have been worked out.
Let me start this off by saying that the IT department was wonderful. However, Dell's policies on replacing computers that they give you broken is ridiculous. I've been working with this computer for three years and it's already dead, completely dead. I almost lost all my files I I've had to call in the past month, the IT company at least once a day because the product is broken now it's saying that my hardware drive is not installed and in order to fix that I have to send this to Dell for a fee and pay for the repairs. I am a college student. I need my computer. I cannot express my anger enough with how horrible this computer is. Laptop my bad. We went on and off for weeks with them replacing different parts until I finally gave up and just suffered with it. NEVER BY ANYTHING FROM HERE
These new ones are trash but if you get an old one its built better. We have this heavy thing but it still works. Tried upgrading to better computer but old one was just better.

Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
