I had purchased vouchers for a cleaning company in Calgary called Clean Sweep BM - and unfortunately had a very negative experience.
I did not get a response from Dealathons when I emailed them (why it is rated 4 not 5) but when I contacted the Calgary office by phone I was put through immediate to someone who could help me.
They were very apologetic about the experience even though it was not their fault - and offered me a refund.
I had unfortunately purchased vouchers from another site called Dealticker from the same cleaning company before my negative experience and they were nowhere near as helpful in refunding me or crediting. So - if you have a choice buy from Dealathons vs. Dealticker!

Bought a massage coupon in February.
Then the company gave us the run around saying the information that was on dealathons.com was incorrect and transferred us to a crummy personal masseuse. We tried to make appointment with her and she declined to accept dealtion's coupon.
Got in touch with dealathons. Got points refunded to my account last july.
Then in july i bought a coupon for dinner for rajdoot in calgary. It says they shipped it on july 20th and i am still waiting for the coupon to arrive in mail. Should not take two month to come from BC to calgary using Canada post.
David I know you are reading it. Thats why i gave you good rating. Please see if you can send me my coupon. If not i would like my money refunded please.

The information about a deal was very vague so I contacted the company for more information. They did not return my call despite leaving 2 messages. I sent a message to dealathon advising them of my poor experience with one of their service providers and was given a nasty reply. This is not a site that I would want to give business too. There are a ton of other daily deal web sites that offer good customer service and deal with legit companies.

I have read all the previous reviews and I am stunned that this site continues to operate. I will heed your advice, even though I am still waiting for a product from early December 2013, and to never purchase anything again. I am also intending to call the Better Business Bureau, at least they will be on the 'don't do business with' list. I do have a suggestion, hopefully we can find where they advertise and flood these companies with emails…. Just a thought.

I did actually receive a couple of orders from them... that is after emailing and calling continuously. Then they offered bonus points for my difficulties. Which made me just order again. Big mistake. I have another order that was never received and they offered to give me a credit. The credit memo was issued but the money was never refunded. I am still waiting for two orders that were promised for Christmas delivery. Nothing was received yet. I have tried emailing them about 10 times and they are not responding anymore. They are not answering their phones either, the call goes straight to voice mail or just hangs up automatically. I am for sure done with them... I have lost enough money already. I will for sure keep trying to get in touch with them but I don`t think that will get me anywhere!

Seems to be a bunch of thieves. Ordered June 15, today is August 21 and no product. Had a sarcastic email at 2 weeks telling me that the offer clearly states shipment could take two weeks. Now 10 weeks and they don't answer emails or phone messages. Their waiting musak makes a person contemplate suicide. Everything about this operation points to scam and theft.

I had purchased a voucher to use through Dealathons.com. I have attempted to contact the merchant for over 2 weeks to schedule an appointment; however, she never returns the phone call or tells you to call back but doesn't pick up. She's suppose to be running a professional service. In disappointment, I emailed Dealathons.com requesting for a refund as the merchant is not providing services as agreed. They have ignored all three of my emails, not even an acknowledgement to say anything, just ignored. If this company is suppose to be for a charitable good deed, they certainly don't act like it by the way they run their business. It makes me appreciate other sites who value their customer's time and business more. I do not recommend this site. Do yourself a favor and do not use them.

Purchased an item (Dec 8) for a Christmas gift from a deal where it advertised receive in time for Christmas. Despite being assured through the contact form, and three time weekly phone calls, I was never provided with shipping information or a tracking number. The item I ordered was not received by Dec 24, which leaves me having to go shopping Christmas eve instead of spending time with family.

Tried calling Dealathon Friday, Dec 21 and Monday, Dec 24, but they're not answering their phones, and their voicemail is full. Not surprising, since I am pretty sure I am not the only one.

Dealfind (different site) is fantastic. Never have had a problem and their service is superb. I don't recommend Dealathon at all.

I have also been scammed by Dealathon. I placed an order on November 5th & the money was taken from my credit card that day. Needless to say, I still have not received the goods. I have, however, heard some very original reasons why the goods are not here yet, including the fact that they are held up in customs. I live in Alberta. I had not realized that inter-provincial trading necessitated customs now! With all the letters of complaint on here, surely there must be enough for some kind of action against this company? I only wish I knew how it could be done.

I bought a few lipsticks from dealathon three weeks ago and received a shipping confirmation three weeks ago as well. However, despite saying the item will arrive in a week after purchase. It has not arrived yet. I tried calling and emailing last week. Both got no response. This morning I called again and was finally able to reach support. They said the item was shipped out last week, and the shipping confirmation I got last month was when it was packaged. I don't really believe her story. How can you let a packaged parcel sit for days let along weeks?! Anyways, she said ill get it in the next 5 business days. Hopefully she's right. Ill update my review in a week.

They have no customer service skills whatsoever. They won't return phone calls or emails. I purchased MAC make up from them - total knock-off product! I called to return it. Dealathons said no problem - we will return it. Sent to product to them 3 times - and it kept getting returned. Finally the package got accepted - then came the return. Spoke with some clown named Alana - she said return would be processed - 3 months later nothing. Kept following up by phone and email. No one returned any emails or phones. Eventually some other clown Sabina said no return is possible because it's passed 30 days!
This company is a total scam. DO NOT BUY any products from them. They CHEAT AND LIE! Till this day no refund no replacement product and the 'credit' they promised disappeared. It's been almost 2 years.
I am beyond shocked that they are still in business.

I bought a deal for $200 off of dealathons.com. A few months later, the deal company went out of business, and was told to request a refund from the deal issuer. When I contacted dealathon, they said they'd give me a refund or transfer the deal, which never happened. I've followed up about once a month, and I either get ignored or I get a big fat no.

I have had excellent customer service at other deal companies, yet this is the complete opposite. Unfortunately, I'm out 200 dollars and there is nothing anybody can do about it.

And to think I was the only one to feel this way about dealthon! These guys are the worst in customer service. Bought a deal off them way back in April, called the restaurant and was told that dealathon did not pay them, so they will not honour the coupon. It's been 3 months today and dealathon still has not reimbursed my money back. This is the short story of my struggle with them... hopefully you do not make a similar mistake. There are a lot of other company's you can take your business too.
