Similar experience as the other lady who did not get paid.
To date, I have been paid 1/2 my earnings (just lucky?) after much contact, time and effort (below)
NOTE: finally resolved: July 25/12
I too had the same experience. To resolve (receive full payment):
- setup a PayPal account
- call Anton in accounting at Dealathons: *******552 x 104
- Anton will transfer the funds to your PayPal account immediately
- After you receive funds and a PayPal e-mail, you can withdraw to your bank account.
(I wished I knew this 4 months ago): verified with another Dealathon customer who had same experience.
Recommentation: Don't waste your time with Deal-A-Thon.
TeamBuy, Social Shopper and Groupon are the only professional ones I have dealt with to date(i. E the only ones who have promptly sent me a statement of the transaction AND paid as indicated).
My story:
My Deal ended April 24th/12
Final list was received from Dealaton 24/04/2012.
First payment was to be made 5 (working?) days later, which would be 01/05/2012.
Dealathon indicated my first payment was sent 04/05/2012 (as noted below).
Dealathon then indicates May 9th that "check mailed out 3 days ago from our offices in Toronto", contradicting e-mail above.
Nothing has been received as of 15/05/2012
Final payment was to be made 30 days later, which would be 24/may/2012.
No Payment received as of May 14/12.
I e-mailed May 15/12: no responce
I e-mailed May 23/12: no responce
June 08/12: CEO? David says payment to arrive early next week: none arrived
June 18th: CEO? David says he will e-transfer funds this evening
June 19th: Received ½ of payment via e-mail transfer. David says we cashed a cheque representing the other half. E-mailed him to reply with proof of transfer of funds.
July 1st; no reply to my e-mails: take to next level: filing complaint with BB
When 2 photofaciall deals were offered, I purchased 2 deals- 4 sessions. I wanted this to be done prior to the next summer and with the voucher lasting 12 months, this was possile, ahem!
Given that I only got confirmation from Dealathon and not a voucher, I contacted them and contacted them and contacted them, - total of 17 times over 10 days and nobody got back to me. Then I contacted them as a 'vendor' so they feel they can make money and guess what - the first call was taken. Good for now? No, I did not think so. Sabina a girl in the office, most likelyl part of the ownership explains that nobody was in the office the previousl week. Hello? Did you guys put that anywhere on your site? Nope. And I guess you were not in the office the previous week and not yesterday and not today? With my point made, she is looking though the deal and tells me that because I paid via FAcebook login that they have 'it was my fault as they had no email for me'. Hmmmm, ok, as an IT manager this is the most ridiculous thing you could say to me, but in their own heads they think they gave me an 'explanation'. We are talking about $118 that seemed to be vanished. Ok finally with lots of pressure she cops up the vouchers, but does not send them but sends the code. Geees! Took me two weeks of this. Then, in March of 2012, three months before the voucher expeires, I am contacting the deal person/busienss - LaFontaineSurgery.com, it turns out to be every bit as shady as Dealathon: 30 min treatement lasted 4 minutes, it was extremely painful and practicioner who initial said she was a doctor until asked for her credentials when she started to retract dissapeared. Ok, I made a point of bad treatement however was forced to give her $5 tip and to pay the tax on top of a deal. Ok, now the deal is $130+ and service is not given, and let's not forget my time, gas money and extremely expensive Yonge & Bloor Parking. Second appointment, the practicioner sits on her $#*! the entire 30 minutes of the apointment and carries on with a personal conversation. Later I was told someone died, which freaked me out, and later again I was told she was calming someone else who died in a different clinic (keep in mind this place has websites with different names littered all over the web, so most likelly it was their procedure that resulted in death). In any case, she does not care about a client on site, she is chit-chatting and yet advising the other two on phones with their Bfs that she has to cancel my other appointment on May 29 (my voucher expires May 31 so yeah, I am screwed) and plus you do not get photofacial in the summer, period. So in one 'apointment' I was stolen from, second, the cow sat on her $#*! and did not come to serve me, third and forth cannot happen. THEFT ANYONE? OH, YEAH, THEFT AND FRAUD.
Dealathon response? We are not givng you money back, ha ha ha
Paypal response? We will chase these criminals and ensure this does not happen to anybody else and we will get in touch with Mastercard and block their access to Mastercard payments.
Consumers Affairs? Oh, we know of them, problem after problem, submit your case.
BBB - knows that lawyer is involved and will sue them if BBB does not resolve so BBB does nto want to be involved. It also makes me wonder why are my tax dollars used for BBB (that I will address wtih needed authotiries).
SIMPLY GROUP DEALS ARE MOST OF THE TIME THEFT. IT HAPPENED WITH WAGJAG BUT SINCE THIS IS TORONTO STAR BEHIND IT THEY WILL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK. AT DEALATHON, PEOPLE WILL LIE TO YOU WHO THEY ARE, THEY WILL CHEAT AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. BEWARE OR YOU WILL END UP IN THE SAME WAY.
THIS WILL BE PUBLISHED AND COPIED TO ALL REVIEW SITES. I AM OUT OF $143.34 SO IF YOU HAVE 100 PEOPLE AND STEAL FROM THEM THIS YOU STOLE $*******. 00, YEAP MY NEXT STEP TORONTO POLICE BOTH FOR 'LA FONTAIN SURGERY' THAT HAS A FUNNEL OF BAD REVIEWS (AND YET MANY GOOD ONES ALL WRITTEN IN THE SAME STILE - GOOGLE WAS ASKED TO INVESTIGATE) AND ALL BED REVIEWS HAVE ALMOST IDENTICAL ISSUE TO MINE.
ALSO KEEP IN MIND NAME DAVID MAGAZZINICH WHO PRETENDS TO BE A CEO AND OWNER WHEN SELLING BUT HE IS NOBODY WHEN THERE IS AN ISSUE. TALKING ABOUT A RAT, HE IS DISGUISING INVIDIVIDUAL AND WILL NOW BE CHARGED WITH FRAUD.
