The overall reputation of the company is significantly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to high subscription costs and poor service quality. Customers frequently express frustration with the app's navigation, excessive advertisements, and limited content availability, particularly regarding language options and image quality. Additionally, complaints about customer service highlight issues with billing practices and a lack of timely support. While some users appreciate select programming, the prevailing sentiment suggests that many feel the service does not deliver value for money, leading to a strong inclination to cancel subscriptions.

Technology behind crave is pathetic. When you call and ask why they can't stream a one hour episode of anything without freezing, all they say is 'yeah". Did t work for a while on Windows 10 tablets because was optimized for Windows 7 or earlier. Just a useless piece of tech that somehow bell got suckered into packaging and is now the only way to watch show time or HBO.
We already pay monthly to have Crave t. V and we still have to pay to watch movies. DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!
You have to pay for the HBO +movies pack (coming to $20 a month with crave) just to get a decent amount of content. The watch list is limited to only 50 items and it auto removes things from your list when you've finished watching it, which is super irritating. It does have the latest movies for a limited time after release and some great shows though. Hard to justify the $20 with the crappy connection it seems to receive as well though. The app for chrome book is absolute garbage and no app for ps4 makes this a second rate app at best
This $#*!ing company me and my gf tried to deactivate our account then it says the page is having an error so crave takes out the money today even tho the account said it was deactivated and they won't refund us so do your self a favor and stay away from this rip off of a company they are good for nothing they even hung up on my gf when she tried asking for a refund
Absolutely horrible UI Crave! Absolutely horrible. When watching any show, the connection constantly drops, the screen loader comes up and then refuses to reconnect to the streaming content. This forces me to go back out to the Home menu, search the show again and then start the stream again. So cumbersome.
The ONLY reason I keep Crave TV is to watch Game of Thrones (the final season). There are several good TV series and a few movies, but the poor interface really outweighs the content.
Hey Bell... Why did you get your developers to emulate software from 1996?
I struggle through using the terrible platform with all its glitches to watch the couple of good shows that Crave offers, and then I cancel. I do this about once a year, as the content is very limited, and using the interface drives me crazy.
Good selection of programs is the only positive, and it's far outweighed by the bad. Slow load times, slows down the rest of my computer while it's loading a show. Impossible to find anything. The use interface is so bad that I wouldn't use it for free. What an absolute piece of garbage.
I cancelled my subscription before my free trial was over because of the terrible user interface and lack of development going into the app. You couldn't even fast forward, select an episode, pick up where you left off, rewind, etc. But they still charged me because I didn't cancel 48 hours before the trial was over... which was apparently their terms and wouldn't refund my money. So I got charged for another month $20+ and didn't watch anything, I made sure I cancelled fully. I just got hit with another payment today for $10, which is the price of just Crave without HBO. I had previously confirmed full cancellation of my subscription, why am I still getting charged? They are crooks trying to scam you out of money and hoping you won't notice. No surprise considering they are a part of Bell. AVOID.
What a joke this company is! They are handing out trials to something that doesn't work, hoping people will forget to cancel before the month is out. What a greasy business model! With all the good content behind this product, you would think they would have shut it down until they can get it right.
I am checking out Crave TV. First and foremost, the audio is awful. I invested in a great surround system for a theatre like experience. I seems Crave does not stream 5.1 surround audio like Netflix does. Until they do I will staying with Netflix.
When I called to ask how to add Starz to my existing account. I was told, you can't. I have to pay for another year subscription than add the add ons I would like. I had already paid for a year subscription. So if I was to do what was asked I would be paying for two subscriptions plus add on, which come to over $350.00! I asked if this was right? He said "That is correct." He said you can pay for monthly instead. When I asked to speak to someone else because this doesn't seem right. I was declined. This doesn't seem right that I pay for a year already and have to pay again. When all I want is to do is add on. I feel this is just a way to scam me out of my money.
I really enjoyed Crave till now...
With the addition of HBO content, and some recent movies, the content is very appealing... and if you think it through, paying about 20$ isn't too bad for good content.
Problem is, they curiously stop sending monthly "your invoice is coming" just as the price doubles, they don't give you the option to opt-out of the add-on and just go ahead and charge you with it.
They also don't just add content (in the add-on), but use content you previously had access to and put it in that new category... and then as if that wasn't enough, they add yet another add-on (Starz) just a few months later! It seems like each time you open the app and browse, you have access to less and less with the basic subscription! All the while Netflix and the other platforms still gives you a ton of content for the same basic price...
As if it wasn't enough, as others have pointed out, the apps lack features and are glitchy, and the customer service is awful. But it's Bell, so who is surprised?
Crave is the worst. We can't even use the account. The absolute worst! They take your money and offer almost zero consideration for it. Will be cancelling and telling everyone not to use this joke of a service!
Started out with the one year plan on the original crave. No restrictions. Started to watch GOT and when we got to the last season it said we needed to add HBO and movies. Of course I was hooked on the series, so upgraded for 9.99 a month. Today went to watch the newest season of Power and SURPRISE! We need to add Starz for another 5.99 a month. When t f will this end? What's next?
Very frustrating. Can't imagine they aren't losing subscribers. They just lost this one for sure.
Total garbage for the money and would not recommend to anybody total rip off. Netflix much better. They offer movies and tv shows with a better price.
I cannot believe how bad the service is. You can't autoplay on the PC or Phone. On the smartTV it doesn't keep an accurate record of what episode I'm on or the time and to top it off I cannot browse the episodes through my cravings. I need to search for the show, that means typing with the remote. IT'S UNBELIEVEABLE. How can a network that produce such good show put up such a bad product?
Commercials! So annoying! Was watching Cardinal season three and the episode kept being interrupted by commercials for CTV. Couldn't fast forward through the commercials, system says this function is not available. I could pause and rewind but could not fast forward so forced to watch the commercials totally infuriating! The show was interrupted several times With the same commercials. How many times do they think I need to see them. I thought commercial free streaming was the whole point! Called my service provider and called CraveTV directly both booked my complaints but it's not gonna do anything I guess I'll just cancel my subscription
It amazes me that any company would ever feel comfortable putting out such a terrible product. Crave has so much potential but if they don't fix this embarrassing dumpster fire of an app they will never be as successful as their competitors. As of right now I've made sure anyone who's asking about crave knows to avoid it at all costs. This app is not worth the money and whoever had a part in making it should be ashamed of themselves. Can't think of a better example of a company shooting themselves in the foot. DO NOT BUY CRAVE.
Like many other people complaints. Can't resume from where you stopped, glitchy. Nowhere near as good as Netflix
Platform wouldn't work on new tv - can't stop, pause or ff. Platform doesn't work in old tv either won't work with updated programs - the worst platform I've ever seen - 6th grade dropouts for IT
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
