The overall reputation of the company is significantly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to high subscription costs and poor service quality. Customers frequently express frustration with the app's navigation, excessive advertisements, and limited content availability, particularly regarding language options and image quality. Additionally, complaints about customer service highlight issues with billing practices and a lack of timely support. While some users appreciate select programming, the prevailing sentiment suggests that many feel the service does not deliver value for money, leading to a strong inclination to cancel subscriptions.

Tried to use this service on a PC, it would only render at 720p. Then tried getting the smart TV app and that is even worse. The interface is simply abysmal, doesn't even let me browse through the video and the actual streaming quality is extremely poor for older Game of Thrones episodes, doesn't look half as good as the Blu Rays. Hard nope on this garbage service from me.
The video player layout is terrible, the system is not set up for marathon as there's no next option and if I wanted to deal with constant lagging, constant buffering and out of sync audio I wouldn't be paying for a service, I'd just stream it. The moment Game of Thrones is done I'm canceling my subscription, this is amateur $#*!
Their website is full of bugs, I got a membership a few days ago and watched the first episode of Game Of Thrones, not without difficulty, since their site was impossible to use.
And now, even almost a week later, its absolutely impossible for me to go and watch anything on there! Their site doesn't even work, all the videos have errors, the page is glitchy and keeps refreshing for no reason.
$#*! this website. I'm gonna unsubscribe right now and get my money back. DONT SUBSCRIBE.
I have been on hold for 1 hour and 7 minutes. Stay away from this product. Bell is the worst - ever.
Stunning to me that Crave is competing with the likes of Netflix etc. yet cannot delivery anywhere near the quality of Product / Customer Service
I "signed up" on Monday - a process that took no less then 20 minutes due to the fact you CANNOT Sign-Up on your TV (unlike Netflix, Google Play, Amazon etc.)
Less then 24 hours later I was kicked-out of the ap and asked to "sign in" - but you cannot sign in on the TV so I was forced to go back online - and got ERROR Message.
So I called Customer Service - and I do not lie - waited 58 MINUTES for the PRIVLIDGE of speaking to a Customer Service Rep.
I simply told her to cancel my account -but she couldn't even do that!
Had to go back online to cancel my service - less then 24 hours after signing up for it.
BRUTAL SERVICE - something tells me the DISNEY + app will be all I need when it launches in a few months!
Can't sign in on tv. Have to go to streaming. That would be ok to f they just told you at the outset. 14 wasted steps. Wasting my time is top of mind for 1 Star.
Can't believe I paid money for this crap. Controls on screen do not work. Playback constantly freezes. No support and no service. Avoid this like the plague!
I used to actually like crave, sure the interface wasnt that great but they had some good stuff that you could find on netflix. This has gone way downhill since they introduction the different subscription packages. Basically they have added the most hated thing from cable to a platform meant to be free of the problems of cable. I get that they need to make money and I have no problem with different tier levels, but they should be thing like more concurrent connections and better streaming quality (like 4K), not locking content out. The biggest kick in the pants is that they even lockout some seasons of a show based on subscription level. I am now seriously considering cancelling my subscription.
This platform is absolut garbage, it`s ridiculous how it simply doesn`t work, you can`t watch anything, it simply tries to take ou to other pages instead of what you are trying to watch. Don`t waste your money and time in this piece of crap.
Trying to run this from my xbox to my TV. It doesn't CAST?!?! This app is trash and it costs $20/month. Netflix worked fine on all of my platforms. Your app sucks and you should feel bad. Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything different from a company like Bell.
The app isn't worth it at all. I keep calling and trying to fix it. Even got the upgrade And still isn't worth it. I've talked to them several times and tried to get my account back and running. Still don't work. So just cancel crave and order the HBO channel and stay with Netflix. Less stress, crave tv is way to stressful
Bell choosing how to use their service based on who paid them to develop. How about you make decisions that are pro consumer for once Bell?
Just started using crave, was excited at first about some of the content. However similar to other reviews I'm finding it really difficult to navigate and use. When I choose a show I've been watching it opens it to somewhere i had stopped or paused several times previous and then it's really difficult to find where i had actually left off most recently. When watching on my firestick when I get to the end of an episode there doesn't seem to be an easy way to start the next. When watching on my laptop it kicks me out every time and makes me sign back in. Super glitchy.
Plus it's irritating that there doesn't seem to be a way to filter out content that I don't have access to with a basic subscription, so I'm endlessly disappointed clicking on titles only to find I can't watch. They should at least have some kind of indication when browsing so you know you don't have access before clicking on it. Certainly not interested in upping my subscription to double the price for a platform that works so poorly.
Very disappointing. I'll stick with Netflix and prime video.
Crave charges way more than HBO does outside of Canada, and yet hasn't bothered to invest into basic technical maintenance for their site. I can't watch the seasons of some shows because the site doesn't respond when I click on 'Season 1' and when I search for shows I know they have, nothing comes up and I have to scroll to find it. Many of the shows on this site are only on this platform so I don't have a choice but to continue using Crave in order to watch my favourite shows - and it feels like Crave is exploiting that.
Almost none of the interesting titles are available. When you click on a Movie or TV show title, the message Subscribe to Watch is displayed. The crooks at Bell want you to pay an additional $10 per month to buy an additional HBO or Starz subscription. Crave is a carefully planned rip off. I'm going to back to Netflix.
We have tried to get this application to work to just WORK!. We have emailed, called, tried everything they have possible been able to tell us to try. And still. It doesn't work. Or we finally get it to work. And then it stops working again... terrible application!
I pay for crave TV and I have issues logging on more times then not, Of course Bell does nothing to fix or compensate me I am canceling at the end of the moth contract. Don't get anything through bell you will get cheted
Crave TV... forced down our TV throats.
Have to take it to get HBO.
Crave TV Movie Programming is garbage.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.
Answer: Absolutely agreed. 100%. Also, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never give your payment information to ANY Bell Media company, because they will screw you. Contact the BBB to make a complaint.
Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
