Tried to use this service on a PC, it would only render at 720p. Then tried getting the smart TV app and that is even worse. The interface is simply abysmal, doesn't even let me browse through the video and the actual streaming quality is extremely poor for older Game of Thrones episodes, doesn't look half as good as the Blu Rays. Hard nope on this garbage service from me.
I got a gift card; a pre-paid subscription to CRAVE TV. The website would not accept the code. When I spoke with Customer service, Nico, the troubleshooter assigned to the case, was not just useless but incredibly flippant and rude. In terms of his knowledge, despite having the email FROM CRAVE forwarded to him, he kept stating, "I have no way to confirm where this is from". The answer, Nico, is in the email's subject heading, email address, footnote, and logo: Crave TV. Then he told me it would take 5 business days to get back to me! This isn't a joke. I have the gift card #, the pin, and the confirmation email. He told me he didn't care that I had concerns and hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. My mom has the Corona virus and I wanted to get her something to watch while she's in isolation. These people couldn't care less. Once they have your money, you are dirt. Do not use these people!
Commercials! So annoying! Was watching Cardinal season three and the episode kept being interrupted by commercials for CTV. Couldn't fast forward through the commercials, system says this function is not available. I could pause and rewind but could not fast forward so forced to watch the commercials totally infuriating! The show was interrupted several times With the same commercials. How many times do they think I need to see them. I thought commercial free streaming was the whole point! Called my service provider and called CraveTV directly both booked my complaints but it's not gonna do anything I guess I'll just cancel my subscription
We signed up for Crave to access Dr Who, and have been watching it a lot because they have several shows we like, but we aren't totally happy. First off, they charge separately for tv, movies and Stars/HBO. So Netflix is less than half the price even after they've raised the price several times. There is also an annoying tendency for the title and progress bar often stay up through play and you have to exit and restart several times to make it disappear.
Crave offers no phone access for customer support. Crave will take your money without giving you the opportunity to cancel your subscription. They have no customer support to speak of. I have requested a refund as they charged me for a months service which I did not want. They offered no opportunity to speak with a representative and no assistance when needed. I would recommend against using this service as they are dismal at providing adequate support.
I have been fighting with Cravetv for almost 2 months as it stopped working with my Samsung smart tv. All this time they assured me they would fix issue and refund my $40 I paid for the 6 months. They have not fixed the issue and now claim they have a no refund policy. Have spend hours on the phone with them and get only empty promises and no help at all. I only gave a star because it worked for about a year before crashing. Otherwise would have been no stars.
Has a bunch of random stuff that no one cares about but no actual TV shows. No big bang theory, no modern family, no 2 broke girls, no friends.
Isn't this sight speed to be for "watch all your favorite shows any time" well there is no actual TV shows!
My service was cut off in January, but they say subscription is pending review and to wait for it to process before making changes. I called them 3-4 times and they say it is a glitch in the system and to wait 24 hours for it to resolve. That was 5 days ago. Nothing has resolved. Now I want to just cancel it and they won't even do that. Terrible!
If I could give Crave 0 stars, I would. Offering limited seasons of some shows and making it necessary for customers to subscribe to the Movies + HBO package to watch other seasons or titles is total BS. What a counter-intuitive marketing ploy: I cancelled my subscription with the introduction of Bell's money grab. I didn't lose anything by cancelling since the site regularly freezes and/or crashes, and I can watch all the titles on Crave elsewhere at a fraction of the cost or, in some cases, for free. Don't waste your money on a Crave subscription!
The app isn't worth it at all. I keep calling and trying to fix it. Even got the upgrade And still isn't worth it. I've talked to them several times and tried to get my account back and running. Still don't work. So just cancel crave and order the HBO channel and stay with Netflix. Less stress, crave tv is way to stressful
The shows on the service are good, but its frustrating to use. Chrome is the only browser it likes, which kills me. It treats every browser on the same computer as multiple logins. You really need to up your game with the user experience, not sure I will keep this
Good selection of programs is the only positive, and it's far outweighed by the bad. Slow load times, slows down the rest of my computer while it's loading a show. Impossible to find anything. The use interface is so bad that I wouldn't use it for free. What an absolute piece of garbage.
The site won't load a lot of the times, they suck you in by letting you watch a show so far then if you want to continue to watch they say you need to pay more, and there is NO customer service. You're invisible to Bell media once they have your money.

The content that is available with just crave subscription is not great - I spent many hours TRYING to find anything to watch just to utilize my subscription.
You have to get add-ons (extra charge) to get anything remotely decent to watch.
A lot of content is outdated and so are their policies (they are owned by Bell and IT SHOWS). They are difficult to work with and not very helpful either.
Stick to netflix, or amazon prime. Significantly superior content, great interface and customer service.
Pretty good content but the interface on Apple TV really sucks. How about a check mark for the episodes I watched? Dont really need to re establish my subscription this often

Been on hold with them for over 2 hours to cancel a subscription that I haven't been able to access for months (keeps saying I'm not a subscribed member) that they've still been charging me for. Pretty sure the entire company is a scam.
You have to pay for the HBO +movies pack (coming to $20 a month with crave) just to get a decent amount of content. The watch list is limited to only 50 items and it auto removes things from your list when you've finished watching it, which is super irritating. It does have the latest movies for a limited time after release and some great shows though. Hard to justify the $20 with the crappy connection it seems to receive as well though. The app for chrome book is absolute garbage and no app for ps4 makes this a second rate app at best
Save yourself the trouble and don't purchase Crave. I only have it because my wife and I are trying to watch Friends. Can't even watch it half the time on the app. Like minimum once a week the server decides to cut out for half the evening. We are getting rid of it asap once we are done our show.
Put a movie on pause, had a phone call, tried to restart it, kept asking me to enter the password. Would not accept the password, spent four hours talking to various service people, kept forwarding me to different sites. After the four hours passed to my wife, she spent a hour being passed around, still no one could fix the problem. I cancelled the site! Back to Netflix for us.
The people who run this are a bunch of scammers and thieves. They look my money and refuse to refund me. I signed up for the 30 days free trial and cancelled my subscription on the 30th day. They said because I didn't cancel a day earlier that they charged me for the following month. How does that make sense. They stole my money and refused to give me a refund. Customer service is unprofessional and incompetent. I didn't even use their services and will never recommend them to anyone. Disgusted.
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.
Answer: Not unless you want to rip all your hair out. Crave has serious streaming problems and mostly you cannot watch it. And if you can the sound is all tinny and canny.

Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
