Crackle

When crackle first came out it was decent. But now it's just terrible. It constantly freezes. The picture quality is not that great. There is a lack of movies to choose from. They play commercials every 5 minutes, and it's the same commercial over and over. I got the same commercial literally 3 times in a row last night(in a single break). It's really annoying.

Even though I have high-speed Internet, I'm spending more time waiting while it's freezing/buffering than I do actually watching the video! I have to exit Crackle, then go back to my main home page and open Crackle again, which sometimes will start playing the video... but not always! Too much of a hassle to watch Crackle.

Stop complaining about the ads. It's free. Which means you pay them nothing. Which mean they don't make money from you. They make money from ADVERTISERS who pay Crackle to show those ads. Ads are the price you pay for this free service. Use your brain. It's called business.

My issue with Crackle is their TERRIBLE Xbox One app. Not only do I occasionally have mid-movie crashes, rewinding and fast-forwarding also cause the app to crash. This app is useless and only makes me want to pursue these films by other means. Fix it. Other than that, Crackle has limited selection, but usually watchable films. Fix the app issues on Xbox One and they could make a lot more in ad revenue.

There are so many ads that are repeated back to back (more than on cable tv) that it actually has made watching anything on Crackle a hassle. Ads pay for content, but when they are stacked and repeated over and over again during a 45 minute episode, it's just jarring and ruins the show. Crackle offers limited yet decent content, but it's not worth the hassle. Many of the shows on Crackle are on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon anyway with no ads in exchange for a tiny sub fee. Avoid it like the plague

I was excited with some of the movies available especially the horror movies. Everytime I pick a movie to watch it keeps freezing due to some problem and I can deal w the ads, but there is no reason these movies should keep freezing and then u have to hit resume then it does it again 1 minute later. That just sucks, what's the point of free movies that u can't get to watch anyway. Please fix this issue or you'll be out if business quick

My title says it all. I just started watching it in every 5 seconds I'm getting forced to watch a commercial while I'm just making my way around the menus. That is beyond annoying and unacceptable. I can't even read the movie descriptions because I get a commercial jammed up by but every 10 seconds and then when you go back to the menu it replays the same preview over and over again till I had to mute the television I finally got so frustrated I just left

I was excited to find one of my favorite series "Rescue Me" on Crackle. I was only about 20 minutes in and Crackle had already taken 3-4 commercial breaks! I worked in advertising for 10+ years & know that there are an average Mount of commercials brand our however the way crackle is doing it is they're running less ads but breaking form or commercial breaks which is extremely in true to the show. For this reason I will not watch crackle again this is extremely disappointing because I remember the first time I tuned in to crackle which is a couple years ago and it was not like this. This is very disappointing because the whole point of going to internet programming was to get away from Network television and the ads! Not surprised though because the big networks will find it their money somehow as they are just a bunch of money pigs.

I used this app a year ago and just starting using it again and the same glitches and errors remain. If you try to resume a movie it will keeps skipping back
To a precious chapter and continue to glitch and keeping looping a segment while replaying the same Ads over and over. So basically this app is broken. Also, Analog stick doesn't work for menu navigation. Video description pop ups and covers everything on the screen. Junk app. What a shame.

I like the movies on Crakle, and even don't mind the commercials. But there are so many transmission problems I get aggreated and go to something else. I often have to exit the app and restart the app and whatever movie I was watching. I seldome get to see a movie all the way through.

I appreciate that it had a film I needed to watch for a film class, but that's all I can say about this site. The ads are way too frequent and don't come in normally like an ad would on say Hulu. The ads cut in the middle of dialogue. How ridiculous is that? A character is in the middle of a sentence and then boom! 5 ads cut in the middle of what they're saying and I miss it so I have to rewind it, only it goes back too far and I'm stuck with the ads again. The buffering and lagging is also annoying. The site says it can be your connection, but all my other sites are working fine. The captions are pretty terrible too; they show up before the words are spoken and they're disorganized like one character was saying, "Yes, he's only seven years old. He needs me", but the captions say: "Yes. He needs Seven."
