I am a disabled Veteran and I am Appalled at Cracker Barrel's Policy of Supporting LBQT PEOPLE and Yet will not giving our Courageous Veterans a discounted meal. Cracker Barrel needs a complete Overhaul of all their Corporate Management. Why Are their decisions so critical and Uncaring is a Complete mystery. We will no longer be supporting this restaurant or their Policies and recommend our Veterans do the same.
Don't go to Cracker Barrel anymore, they don't have enough staff to support customers in the weekend. We had to wait for over an hour just to sit down.
Everytime i order for delivery there is either a missing item or low portions how hard is it to put a little more in the container or remember a friggin cocacola which they should have plenty of
Ate at Cracker Barrel two weeks ago. I ordered food online while we were eating so I didn't have to wait for a to go order after we finished eating. We paid for our meals, still no to go order. The restaurant closed and we were still waiting on the porch, about 30 minutes. I had to catch the locked door when another customer was leaving. He told me they were closed, so I went inside and asked about my order. The woman at the register said they ran out of tater tots and they called to tell us. I was already charged for this order, she told me it would be back in my account in two to three days. It is still not there after two weeks, I waited because of the weekend and 4th of July holiday. I called on Tuesday and had to call back twice because I was placed on hold and no one ever answered and it finally disconnected me. When I finally got the Manager.on the phone, she told me that she needed to the name of who I spoke to that night, don't know names of their employees. No email confirmation because the order was never placed but they sure did charge me for it. She said there is nothing she can do. Most of the people there are usually very nice, but anytime that I have had to deal with her, she is very snotty. I guess I am out the $15 for the meal since there is nothing she can do. Did get a phone call letting us know that tater tots would be back on Thursday, like I'm going back.
When trying to order online for a Door Dash delivery, I was furious to learn that it is IMPOSSIBLE to order pancakes (or any breakfast meal) without ordering a meat. I am a vegetarian and I refuse to order meat just to get pancakes regardless of how much I want pancakes. Finally, my husband asked me to go ahead and order meat because he would like bacon with his meal, so I did. Well, I will never do that again. First of all, I don't care how much my husband wants meat, he will not get it through my order. And secondly, the pancakes were absolutely terrible. They tasted like eating paint off the wall. Cracker Barrel was once a wonderful place. Danny Evins would be devastated to know what the Cracker Barrel corporation has made of his brain child. Here is a note to Cracker Barrel: it is 2021. There are millions of vegetarians, and I am sure, like me, a large percentage of them will never order from Cracker Barrel again. It offends me that you leave me no choice but to order a meat with my meal. How dare you. Who do you think you are? I will never order from Cracker Barrel again. Lesson learned. You will never offend me again.
I will be honest, I / we used to really enjoy going to Cracker barrel and it was always busy, but now, for the last three visits it hasn't even been ok. The wait for a waitress or waiter after you sit down is long, then the wait for your food is even longer and when it comes out it is barely warm. Let me explain, my wife and I went there Sunday 3-14-21. By the time we sat down to the time we got our food it was 40 minutes. I got a simple meal the Sunriser, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, sweet apples, etc. The only items that were HOT were the apples and the biscuits, which was supposed to come straight from the kitchen. What happened to this once great place to eat? Let me give you a quick re-direct, go to ihop, no I have no affiliation with that chain, I just appreciate the focus on providing me with good tasting hot food in a reasonable amount of time. Speaking of time, don't waste yours at cracker barrel. Oh, even trying to leave feedback is difficult. Go To ihop or another mom and pop breakfast place, I believe cracker barrel is too focused on masks that they cannot give an enjoyable meal.
We always stop in Liberty MO to eat at Cracker Barrel on our way North. It was always a pleasant experience and lived up to Cracker Barrel high standards. It has changed. We aren't sure if management has changed but assuming so with the problems we've encountered. In February 2022, we ask to be seated with space between tables. We were,, then they out a six top right behind us and a couple beside us that couldn't quit coughing. We hurriedly ate and left. Very inconvenient and rude.
We had a semi-pleasant lunch there on Oct 14,2022 with an excellent server, but friendliness of other staff is lacking. Today we want to stop and eat lunch on our way back South. I called to check the daily special. The person I talked to in the store was Kurt and sorely inconvenienced by my call. She was obviously double tasking. Came back to the phone and reported there was no Monday special. We knew that was wrong so we called the Lees Summit MO Cracker Barrel and got a friendly person that reported the Monday special is Meatloaf. She did so quickly and efficiently. We will stop at Lees Summit MO today. I then called the Liberty MO Cracker Barrel back and received the same unfriendly person I got the first time. I told her they do have a Monday special and told her it was meatloaf. She then hung up on me! Totally uncalled for!
Bottom line, Liberty needs to clean house on attitude and friendliness. Cracker Barrel used to set the bar high. We are hoping it still does. Our restaurant culture has it's challenges right now but hoping this one meets them and comes back on top.
Me and my husband were having company so the five of us went to. Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy had a film on top and it tasted like paste the two sausage patties were not cooked. I took a bit out of one and it tasted terrible i then looked at it and it was Not cooked inside it was pink. My aunt did not get biscuits and gravy but she did order the sausage and before i had a chance to tell her about my experience she took a bite and she said, " this is awful sausage." I called them when i got home I wasn't expecting to get anything out of it i just wanted to let them know. I asked the girl who answered the phone if i could talk to the restaurant manager and she finally answered and i told her everything she then said, " hold on i want you to talk to my manager" so i waited …then CLICK she hung up on me. So that in-turn made me mad enough to take my time and write this review. I never mentioned anything to them when we left because my uncle paid the bill and I didn't want to embarrass anyone. The girl never came to the table to ask if everything was ok because i probably would have said something then. We will never go back there and i am spreading the word about our experience, not that they even care at the end of this review it says i need proof of purchase, I don't have proof of purchase because my uncle paid the bill so this review will probably never be seen by anyone and that figures.
Der ain't nuttin' better den Debs KAWFEE. It is the best! I'ma hit some Kawfee in da geeft shoppe. Look, squirrel ( I needed 13 more characters to post this)
My wife and I are breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Temple, Texas 11 January 2021.
Big mistake!
The food was awful. The ham they served me was thin like bacon, dry and tough like shoe leather. The sunny side up eggs were runny, the gravy on the biscuits was sour, the grits were cold and congealed.
My wife's chicken fried steak was gummy and nowhere close to a light, crispy battered crust.
The server acted as if we weren't there and had to be waved over in order for us to get refills of coffee, eating utensils etc. We never got jams & jellies or butter that we're supposed to be served.
We were going to complain and send the food back, but after 30 minutes of the waiter ignoring us, we decided to just pay and leave.
On the way out, I decided to bring the matter to the attention of the manager.
He wasn't available at first ad he was taking out garbage. Go figure!
When I told him how disappointed we were with the food and service he immediately got defensive. He implied that the improperly prepared, poor quality food was somehow my fault for coming out of the kitchen the way it did.
He made all kinds of excuses, ALL implying that the food and poor service were our fault.
When I asked him if I was the one in the kitchen preparing the food he rudely said " Hey, I'm trying to help you here!"
My reply was "No, you're making excuses!"
He never once asked me if he could make things right, or any offer of compensation.
Needless to say, we WON'T be going back to Cracker Barrel as a result of this experience.
This has got to be the worse ordering experience of my lifel.
As a shareholder in the company, I say sell, sell, sell!
Really, this is the best you can do for an online platform.
Pitiful!
Waited 40 minutes for seating got to my table it was dirty and food under table seats next to my table unavailable said no service for those table so I left and will never go back
Close it down this is the worst place I ever go bad service bad food it's not worth it there's lots of business struggling to survive and you choose to go to this place to waste your money
We have not been out to eat since the pandemic and we chose our favorite restaurant, Cracker Barrel to take our daughter for lunch. Food was great and service was acceptable, then the check came. We had specifically order lunch meatloaf with two sides. This has alway been our favorite and have always substituted another side for the mashed potatoes. When the bill came we were charged for dinners at a higher price. The server, Sam, told us that we could not have gotten lunches without mashed potatoes, so after about a 10 minute adjustment, she changed the price on one entre that did have potatoes. I then went to the cashier and asked for a manager to protest, I first got the retail manager who then spent another 15 minutes getting the restaurant manager. He told me that I could have easily asked to substitute another side with the lunch special, but would go check, he came back in about 10 minutes and gave me a lecture of the difference in portion size and, in a very condescending way, asked me when was the last time I visited Cracker Barrel. Not sure why that mattered, but accused me of not catching that the meatloaf was bigger when it was served, After another 15 minuted adjustment, I finally got a corrected ticket and then had to wait in checkout line for another 8 minutes. This really ruined the experience in the long return to our favorite restaurant. Cb0203, 11/10/2023.
The food was not as good as it was in the past i was very disappointed i dont know if we would ever go back
Eggs were not cooked as instructed and the pancakes were burnt. I had the vegetables and the only thing I could eat was the pinto beans and apples. Will not return.
The Cracker Barrel restaurant in Foley ALABAMA is a great place to eat. Our server Rosemary W. Was amazing and super friendly! The cashier Trudy was very informative and friendly.
My family of 8 went here after church yesterday and it was busy but we asked for biscuits ahead of time to keep the little ones 2 and 4 occupied had to ask 3 times before we got any then we asked for drink refills 3-4 times never got any it was coffee tea and coke had to pay a high price for no refills! Food came and I asked for cheese in eggs had 2'square cheese slices on top of eggs that's not in eggs like usually it was not good! Hash brown breakfast casserole same way they had 4 cheese slices on top not good at all! Food overall not good I could go
On but won't husband ate food with no coffee she never did come back and to get ticket took 20 min! My sister had to take 2 year old to car he wouldn't wait any longer! So I paid for hers and so did my niece I found out when I went
Back to tell them they said we would
Both have to prove we paid by printing off bank accounts sheets and show them we both paid or they wouldn't give us 16.37 back so dumb! I've never had to do that anywhere! We
Won't be back to mattoon Illinois Cracker Barrel and that's sad! They could do much better guess they don't care about customers anymore so sad!
Every time I try to order online with my phone or laptop- whatever entree I choose I get the message 'uh oh' and 'Order Error: This item is no longer available'. So they have major issues with their website ordering first. If I'm desperate enough to call an order in (which I won't ever again) the order is almost always missing something and takes FOREVER at pickup. It's a joke to pull into their pickup spots and call. You call in and they say it will be right out. 25+ minutes later (if I'm feeling patient) I call in again or more than likely walk in and go to the front to see where my order is. It's either NOT ready still or it's cold by this point and has been sitting there for 25mins waiting for someone to run it out. COME ON CRACKER BARREL. I'm sad and ashamed because years ago in my younger day I worked as a waitress at multiple locations. Back then this would have never happened. Whether it's lack of staff or careless employees- the restaurant as a whole should absolutely step up and either forget curbside pickup or FIX it. I won't be back to any locations. I'd rather buy it and fix it myself than get annoyed and waste the same amount time I would have spent in my own kitchen AND save money.
Hashbrown casserole was gross used to be awesome was cold as well as the eggs if your going to market breakfast all day then it should be fresh wasn't the last 3 times I've been there
Answer: Because you trying to be "chic" or shift your consumer base to a younger clientele. Cracker Barrel now appeals to an older customer base. To be successful in decades to come, CB needs younger customers who may not be OK with gravy and biscuits. That's why you will see vegetable sausage, kale salads, etc. at Cracker Barrel. The strategy might work if you had 50 years to make the transition. But your present here-and-now customer (older folks) probably won't hang in with it after you remove their favorites (country ham, fried chicken, apple pie, "and all the butter, Jam and biscuits you care to eat."
Answer: Golden corral, Grandpa's, IHOP. They're at least the customers are paid partial attention& needs meet without a production.
Answer: Have eaten there many times before and in the past have really enjoyed the food.
