We as a family has always went here and ate because I thought it was a family oriented place to eat. But due to what up hold with this "Pride" mess, I doubt we will be going back.
Was at Cracker Barrel today for lunch and I ordered catfish and when they brought it out I had ham did not order ham and took it back and brought my catfish out and hushpuppies out they was not done and when we went to pay the guy that we gave the money to went and got the manager and come up there to talk to us and he did not offer and thing to make it right anything off of the bill and the food was not good at all
Saturday night special is Pork Chops ordered two dinners nope sorry we are out of pork chops ugh then waitress said I'll give you a minute never came back bussed a table and took care of other people ugh again no service by this time I just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave she couldn't even find it on the iPad told us it's free and we left hungry no more cracker barrel for me don't waste your time with this restaurant.
My friend and I decided to go to cracker barrel after hearing so much about it and boy were we disappointed. The menu isn't really much of a menu I mean the burger and sandwich section each only has 1 item to choose from so not much diversity there sadly. My friend ordered the fried chicken tenders and when the food came out it looked rubbery it didn't look like chicken at all if we are being honest, not like your traditional chicken tenders I might add. The burger I ordered from the menu said that it would be seasoned and seared but all I tasted was salt and more salt. Not to mention after I ate my burger my stomach started hurting and it felt like I had just got done doing an ab workout that's not normal. Also, the cornbread was dry and my friend needed water to help get the bread down. I really think the menu needs a serious revamping to appeal to customers. The service was very bland not much care, everyone basically seemed like they didn't want to be there. I will give credit I know cracker barrel is supposed to give off an old country-western vibe and it definitely does do that though for some reason it made us feel very uncomfortable. Overall our experience was a poor one and not what we were expecting I seriously hope the menu gets a serious makeover or at least the recipes.
Food is all Generic out of a can, charge extra for having to cook Hash Browns for breakfast? Do the Cook anything or just nuke it and sling it out. Gravy sucks and taste like flour paste...
I cannot believe over the last year's how the Cracker Barrel has gone to the new hip-hop country junk that is on the radio instead of sticking with the traditional country classics, which represent the decor and atmosphere at the Cracker Barrel, was designed for the music is always so loud and overbearing. It's horrible, I no longer considered Cracker Barrel a great place and I know lots of people that feel the same way and I am not old the music does not fit the atmosphere get it right
Only 2 sandwiches to choose from a chicken sandwich or a burger. Soup was luckwarm and comes from a bag, definitely not homemade anymore. Last time we will be eating at Cracker Barrel.
I was looking for reviews concerning a certain item sold here in order to help determine if a particular issue is wide spread.
Forget that, these folks here are just plain nasty and need to go home and eat a bologna sandwich! The reality is, we have a HUGE staffing problem in this country. We have over subsidized and a large element no longer desires to work. Obviously they can't be forced to work and without proper staffing, problems will continue to not only exist but they will grow. If you want the service of pre 2020, stay at home and be happy there. If you go out, remember that the workers that are there are not the problem, they showed up! They are trying! Give them a break! There is an entire part of these restaurants that is not visible to the public. How do you know that management wasn't assisting in the kitchen? You don't. Lastly, to the ol bat who felt the need to call a store and tell them what their daily special was, I'd have hung up on you, too! Get off your pedestals and get a freaking life.
I was expecting a normal place like ihop or dennys on my way to cracker barrel. I arrived and knew right away that this restaurant was authentic. It has a very southern and homey feel to it. You walk in and there is a pretty big gift shop full of candy, toys, movies, and other treats. I was seated within a couple of minutes and the restaurant has a lot of southwestern decorations everywhere you look.
The hostess and the waiter were both very nice and polite. They treated you with a lot of respect and got whatever you asked them for. The food took a little while to get to me but I knew I could look past that if the food was good. My waiter regularly checked up on me and took my plates right away when I was finished.
Now the main part of the review which is the food. The food looked and smelt amazing when it was set on the table! I ordered a southwestern dish and with the first bite I knew I loved this place. It was delicious and was definitely better than regular breakfast restaurants by a lot. The food was rather expensive but in my opinion very worth it. In conclusion I highly recommend this restaurant.
This is so sad they can't even get a order right and when I send it back to for a fix they didn't have the $#*!ing decency to even scrape the damn cheese off didn't even make a effort if I was you I would not Recommend Cracker Barrel in dyersburg Tennessee they suck!
A few weeks ago my daughter, her husband and I went to have lunch at Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff, AZ. It was a Thursday so Turkey and Dressing was the lunch special. Turkey and Dressing is the bold title as the lunch with 2 sides. They don't tell you the Dressing is a side even though it is highlighted in bold letters in the title as an entre'. I specifically asked if it was an entre' and the waitress said, "yes." I ordered 2 sides for the lunch. What made it bad is my food came out cold. The gravy had developed a film on it and looked like a blanket. The waitress took it back and brought a plate back with less food, just as cold but even smaller portions. To add insult to injury the Dressing was terrible, grainy and bitter then to top it off we were charged for a 3 side meal which I didn't order. If the title is Turkey and Dressing, that should be the entre' before sides. I specifically asked before ordering. I had to argue to get it adjusted but still was disgruntled at the taste and poor quality of the food and service. We will not be returning though we have frequented Cracker Barrel since they opened.
This store is a disaster. And whoever Fred is that thinks it's ok to argue with the customer needs to be fired. Waitress can't do there jobs and the cooks evidently don't understand how to cook.
I contacted these liars months ago about a problem. I get emails saying they will contact me wiithin a few days. Nothing ever comes from these rip offs.
Boycott Cracker Barrell.
My wife and I went to the Mayfield, Kentucky Cracker Barrel on Friday 11/25/2022, we arrived around 9:30AM. There was quite a line waiting to be seated, probably 15 or 20 people total, counting who was in the store and out on the porch waiting. I went to the hostess stand, in around 5 minutes someone came and told me it would be a 30-minute wait to be seated and that they only had one cook working.
I looked inside the room near the hostess stand, 50-70% of the table were not occupied, a few had dirty dishes on them, but well over 50% of the whole room was clean and empty.
I also only saw 2 waitresses moving around, in the other 2 rooms.
I realize it was a holiday for a lot of people, but if you are going to have a business open, have it STAFFED, if not, just close up for the day.
Looks like management would have stepped in and assisted, if they allowed that many people to be off.
Ordinarily the food at this particular Cracker Barrel is good, but the service sometimes lacks.
We have been to this Cracker Barrel many times, and only once did we leave after waiting about 20-30 minutes and no waitress came to take our order. We have also experienced at least 3 occasions at this store where people that came in after us, got waited on and had food and had already ate, and left, before we got food.
So overall, it seems that they are in severe need of management, staff and training.
We were a party of 5 when we came into Cracker Barrel. The time was like 2:30 ish, which then they told us it was gonna be and hour before we could be seated. So we said that's fine. We sat outside of the restaurant for two hours and my mom and niece was inside of the gift shop and the rest of us was outside the restaurant waiting to hear our name which was never called so we all went in and asked have our name been called and they said yes. We told them we wanted to speak to the manager which she came out and that she would find us a table we get to our table and and see that their are plenty of tables empty. But anyways so the waitress comes and take our order but the I call her back to ask for dessert and she told me they was completely out of dessert. So I'm like cool okay. So then 10 to 15 minutes later another waitress for another table bring a lady across from us a dessert. So I look at my sister and mom like I thought they was completely out of dessert Okay so when the waitress comes out with our food I asked her why did the other table get dessert and you told me you all was completely out. I told her don't worry about it. So we started to eat our food. So it was time to go mind you we haven't seen our waitress since she brought our food. We wanted carry out box for our food. Waited and waited no waitress so now this is way unprofessional. Manger walks pass our table to another table to ask them were they okay do they need anything. I would never be eating at this place again Cracker Barrel you need some polite waitress.
I ordered 60.99 worth of food and it was the worst food was cold and I waited 40 mins and still miss stuff veggies soup was just veggies no broth like I said it all was cold. Worst ever.
Ordered food from Cracker Barrel on boat ways in fort Myers too go and the turnip greens tasted like it was 3 days old and dry. I always thought that was was my go to place BUT not anymore
Bad food and mangers liers to empioyers said if you work there that you would be paid 15 dollars a hour, and start working there you would work 6 hours strait without a break, the cracker barrel on 1-75 sheridian exit, i have eated at a lot of crecker barrel and they are all set up the same, and slow to get your food
I went to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Myrtle Beach, SC Sunday 7/16/23. Waited 5 minutes to finally be seated. Then waited again to order while waitresses were hanging out in the back doing nothing. Next to us was a big group of people that were so terribly loud. One women from the group screamed when she laughed it was so loud it hurt my ears. Not sure if serving alcohol for breakfast is a good idea. Alcohol makes people rowdy & now cracker Barrel's breakfast time is like a noisy Sports bar.
The waitress for our table seen us when we sat down. Then another family of 7 people sat down about eight minutes after we arrived. We kept waiting for a few more minutes. The waitress finally told us she will be with us in a minute. She came back & dropped off straws & napkins but never asked us what we wanted to drink. Then when she came back she took the order of the family of 7 that arrived after we did. Not sure why the waitress didnt take our order first since she seen us when we first sat down.
Me & my group left very disappointed! Dont ever want to go back to Cracker Barrel ever again! It was the worse experience ever. I use to eat at cracker Barrel all the time. Not anymore. It was the worse customer service I have ever experienced!
We visited the cracker barrel on Southport Rd. Indianapolis. Sign on the door stated mask are required while in the restaurant. Went inside an noticed a few people did not have mask on. I asked the girl a the front door. She said you don't have to put them on if you don't want to. Mask are required in Marion county by the mayor.
We ordered our food. Took over 30 minutes to get our food and the place wasn't busy.
When I got my food it was cold. Could not find the girl that took our order. When she finally did come around I told her my food was cold. She told me how the cooks would set a order aside while completing the other half of the order and let it get cold. She then placed our check on the table and walked away. So I went to the check out, she didn't ask if out meal was satisfactory. So I told her my food was cold. She's said oh, sorry and finished ringing up our bill. This isn't the first bad experience I have had at this location. Never did see a manager around. Won't be going to anymore cracker barrel's.
Answer: Because you trying to be "chic" or shift your consumer base to a younger clientele. Cracker Barrel now appeals to an older customer base. To be successful in decades to come, CB needs younger customers who may not be OK with gravy and biscuits. That's why you will see vegetable sausage, kale salads, etc. at Cracker Barrel. The strategy might work if you had 50 years to make the transition. But your present here-and-now customer (older folks) probably won't hang in with it after you remove their favorites (country ham, fried chicken, apple pie, "and all the butter, Jam and biscuits you care to eat."
Answer: Golden corral, Grandpa's, IHOP. They're at least the customers are paid partial attention& needs meet without a production.
Answer: Have eaten there many times before and in the past have really enjoyed the food.
