They charge you for items they don't have in stock. I ordered a Dicer back in June and now in October they are saying that there is no stock until at least January. I ordered it from another company and got it in 10 days. They are scammers Buyer Beware!

Cookstore.ca didnot post my negative review on their website. The only reviews that they post are positive, and it is not the reality.
Great site, helpful customer service, the only shortfall, if you can call it that, is that by the time I received an email saying the item had been shipped, I had already received a call from the delivery people here confirming delivery details.
Order placement was easy and straightforward. Order shipment was prompt with accurate tracking. Unfortunately one of the items in the order was damaged during shipment. A single email to cookstore.ca to let them know about the damage with pictures was answered within 30 minutes and I was promptly told that a replacement would be shipped immediately. AMAZING costumer service!

They did not hesitate to allow the return, and did not charge me for the shipping. They certainly could have! A refund was issued promptly once Cookstore received it. I ordered a gift for my brother's wedding May 3rd. I was constantly told it would be another week or so, and given a couple of small discounts for the delay and now I want my money back and I have no answer. I am super disappointed and had to spend extra money to buy another gift. It is ridiculous for them to claim they are still fully operational when people are not getting their orders or accurate timelines. I gave them a chance to make it right and I still have no item! Never buying from here again.
The item I ordered was listed on the site as being 'in stock and ready to ship'. I am now told it takes 7 to 9 business days to get it. In fact after 4 days it still has not shipped. What does 'ready to ship' mean?
I tried to support a Canadian company and am now regretting my purchase. I originally ordered a decanter and a Victorinox knife. I was informed after the purchase the decanter was out of stock, now i didn't qualify for free shipping. In an attempt to get free shipping I ordered a mixing bowl I really didn't need. They shipped the items separately and charged me shipping. The bowl arrived 10 days later with the packing slip for the knife. Over a month later I am STILL waiting for my knife. Order elsewhere, you have been forewarned!
Ordered a product back in March was told over the phone that it was in stock (and to be shipped out same day) here we are may 1st and still no product. I keep contacting customer service to only get these very vague "Copy and Pasted" responses. Further more I was lied to by the customer service rep who told me the company I ordered from shut down due to covid 19. I personally called the this company and was told by 2 managers that none of the warehouses have been shut down due to covid and they were concerned if I bought their product from a legit website. Save your time and money and buy somewhere else. Its pretty sad to spend so much money on product and you get less customer service than you would at Mcdonalds. Never agian cookstore.
I wrote an earlier review to share my experience and am following-up to say that after waiting 2 months, I still have not received a refund, or product, and the company has not called or emailed me. I've reported them to Windsor PD who told me they "know who they are" and have received complaints about them. I also found the warehouse address and also a POBox, which is not listed on their website, and another location, in another city. I find that suspicious. I wrote to BBB and filed a complaint with them. I also wrote a review in the yellow pages but they rejected my review, claiming I had mentioned the merchant? The address listed for that Cookstore.ca location is in York, ON. I would never order from this company as they clearly stole my money and am working with my credit card company to get my refund.
During the Covid 19 pandemic, many purchases are made online and my purchase of a Meyer Confederation series of pots from Cookstore could not have been a better experience. The pots I wanted were back-ordered and they provided me with an updated promptly of the 3-day delay in turn around for the order. The order arrived as promised and in excellent condition via Canpar. The pricing was a sale price and was excellent value for a Canadian made product that I expect to be using for a long time.
I ordered a bread machine. I got a confirmation email, and they took the money from my account. The email said I would get a confirmation email when shipped. 2 weeks later I called to find out why it hadn't shipped. Ohhh. It's gone to the shipping dept today. I got confirmation email that afternoon, but it still took another 10 days to arrive. The product is good, but almost 4 weeks isn't worth the $20 I saved over buying on Amazon with 2 day shipping. Will never buy from them again.

Supply was back ordered and I was kept up to date throughout the whole process.
Staff were courteous and knowledgeable. I never felt my questions were a bother.

I ordered and paid for a brand new a DeLonghi espresso machine for my partner's birthday. I followed up for months. It finally arrived--a broken, refurbished machine that never worked. They are refusing to refund my money unless I buy another one. I said no way, and that I want my money back. So they said to send them the machine and only once it is received will they start the several months process for a refund. My MasterCard told me not to send the machine back but Cookstore is arguing there was no fraud, so I can't get my money back one way or the other. They stole from me and should be in jail. I honestly hope every employee there goes to jail. You can't call them as their phone number isn't working due to COVID--right, cause that makes sense--and they have no in-person store and won't deal with anyone personally. This is a horrible, fraudulent scam.
I bought a Kenwood mixer and i needed a lot of help finding the right one and the right price. Staff was patient and responded very quickly to my notes. The mixer came quickly and perfectly packed. I had the canada post tracker provided in the email confirming shipping, made it all easy.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
