I used to buy a lot of equipment from them from 2020 to 2022 in spring. They always delivered and replaced broken items, if needed. My last order was Nov 22 and the stuff never arrived. In Jan 2023 I tried contacting them and found out, they went out of business. The credit card charge was easy to get back. I wonder what happened, they used to be my #1 store for hight quality kitchen items. Good prices also.
All of my purchases from this website were great purchases. In 2016 I blender and coffee maker both of which are still operational. 2020 I purchased aDelongi convection oven still operational and in 2021 I purchased a knife sharpener, a boning and slicing/carving knife and a food processor and never had a problem with any of these purchases. I am sorry to know that my fellow consumers have had so many bad experiences
Do not order from CookStore. I ordered an All American Canner Feb,2022 and I still have not received my order. They took my money and have stopped responding to my requests for any delivery or shipping updates since July 2023! The Customer Service representative "Candice" did not provide any such information other than Katherine,
"Our next shipment is expected to arrive next year. Production is very slow for the All-American". I have tried to contact them again and now their email at customer support at *******@cookstore.ca no longer exists and Cookstore.ca website now directs you to a different business ChefSupplies.ca where they can continue to take peoples money! Save your money and some grief and order from a different company. I have filed a charge dispute with my credit card company and will have to wait to see how the investigation goes. Over a year and no canner or even a committed time when I will receive it. Lesson learned- if you can not get any commitment for a date when they will fulfill their order something is wrong. New company Chefsupplies.ca. Think twice about ordering here too.
Never get my order, contacted them through email numerous times, everytime they responded in 2 weeks time and now has been more than 8 months...the last email I asked for refund and never ever get a reply on that..., called theiir phone number, no one time it ever get through...

In November 2022, I ordered 2 series of plates and 1 week later I received part of my order. My credit card was charged in November and I am still waiting for a credit or my plates. In January 2023, I contacted them again and they still don't answer my e-mails. This company is not honest or reliable. I strongly suggest to avoid this company if you don't want to be frustrated and lose your money!

Made a purchase and after initial email never got any answer. Reported to Better Business Bureau who didn't got an answer either. Now it changes its address, it's a scam.
Checking today, their site is down, and their BBB account has been revoked. I have not been able to get ahold of them since I placed my order. Im guessing they have shutdown and are no longer servicing orders
In August 2022 I ordered and paid for two cheese graters and an extra fine grater attachment - order # *******. These items were going to be Christmas gifts and I thought that I had ordered them in plenty of time to receive them in December 2022. On August 11th I paid $165.87 for my order. I checked on my order about once a month and received the same response numerous times: "I apologize for the delay on your order. Unfortunately, the information I currently have available indicates that your items and delay and are estimated to arrive in 2-3 weeks." Cookstore did not deliver and they have my money. I really wanted these items and I don't know why I am getting such a run-around. I had also ordered a commercial dishwasher for our Kaslo Senior's Hall and it arrived and we are very happy with that purchase. What is going on? Are they still in business?
This deserves 0 stars, but I'm forced to give it a star. I ordered my espresso machine in Oct 2022. It still has not arrived! Rip off! Do not buy anything from this store. No response from so called customer service after repeated emails to them. Initially they did and then disappeared with my money.

Google reviews list it as closed, it is not they'll take your money and ghost you. I've tried calling, email and visiting (I'm 50km away). No answers. On visiting the lights are on and there were a few vehicles in the lot. Signage is still there. Google maps has it blocked out but it's there. I'm going to assume it's a failing or failed business. What I question as being fraudulent is that they have a post holidays 24hr sale going on. It's been up for five days or more now on their web site. Do not give these folks your credit card number, they'll take your money and that'll be the last you'll hear. You'll get a confirmation email but that'll be it. Cookstore.ca is a fraudulent website. They take your money but will never actually ship your order. Everything I ordered was "in-stock" and said it would "ship within 2-3 days". It has now been 2 months and I have not received my items or any updates.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
