Do not buy here! The company is a fraud, it has a nice looking site but all products are out of stock then they string you along and don't give a refund. The owner is pimply face boy in mother basement stealing! Shame on YOU!
I bought a very heavy butcher block/kitchen cart this year. I live in a fairly rural area, and the item came in a very reasonable amount of time by a friendly delivery service that was able to drop it off where it would be protected by rain. They called before delivering as well. The product came with no damage, and was at a very good price (the best I could find online)
The site seems to carry high end specialty home chef and commercial kitchen products, and caters to Canadians, and I am happy to have found them!
Took over 3 months to ship, I even received an automatic email saying I need to contact in order to set up a refund after waiting 1 month. When I contacted them they denied being able to do anything, and just stopped responding to me.
Because the delivery was time sensitive (birthday) I bought a second one of the item from cookery-store.ca and they were extremely cordial and prompt with the delivery. Shop there instead!
Great Product. Well it's Wolf, so can't go wrong there! However, Fantastic Service at the Cook Store!... This company is very easy to deal with, and have a really great selection of equipment for the novice cook, right through to full restaurant grade equipment. Very impressed... I will be back and will certainly tell my friends, and fellow chefs!
I placed my order on November 24 for a Christmas gift. After a couple of weeks of no news on the shipping (last and only other purchase took 2 weeks to ship) I followed up. Currently at 9 emails (can't call - they tell you to email for faster responses) and my order still hasn't shipped or been cancelled, and not a single response to my emails. They did, however, take the time to delete my negative reviews on their website! I reported them to my credit card company as a fraudulent transaction. It's a shame because I chose them over Amazon to support a Canadian company:S
I ordered in December and it's now April and I have not received my order. They sure billed for it... But never sent anything. I emailed their customers service more than 10 times to get the same answer: coming in 2-4 weeks... Still never came. I'm starting to think it is fraud.
This was my first time ordering from CookStore. I ordered Henkel knives and OXO storage containers. They had the best pricing that I could find and that particular week they had a promotion on Henkel making them even cheaper!
I received a confirmation email right away. Then a few days later an email from Customer support letting me know that one item was discontinued asking if I wanted a refund for that item or if I would like to replace it with something else. I chose to have the item refunded and quickly received my refund. My order arrived shortly there after.
I'll be shopping with them again!
Charge you right from the get go. Claim they have the stock but keep saying 2-4 weeks, can hold that statement for months. Does not publish bad review on the website as shown in the picture below. This is a review that i posted on november 15th 2021. I finally had to ask for reimbursement.
Received an amazing product after reading about it on Cook website. Their information was well presented and accurate. The order process was user friendly and correspondence sent included everything needed. Delivery was exceptionally fast--delivered ahead of expected date. The product was well protected during shipping. Excellent service and would highly recommend ordering from this company.
Please save yourself a lot of time and frustration and order from ANYWHERE else. Called the 1-800 number looking for my order (from almost a month ago) and just kept getting an automated message to email them. Might be ok if they actually answered their emails.
I purchased the Cuisinart 14 cup food processor because it was recommended by Cooks Illustrated, it arrived earlier this week. I wanted to purchase it from a Canadian company (to support a local business), and was pleased to find your store was also the best price ($15 cheaper than the next lowest price I found online). I have used it once already to make a pie crust, and was very happy with the results. While the order was slightly delayed (as most deliveries during quarantine have been), I received several update emails on the status of the order, which was helpful.
Bought my son a birthday gift from here online 2 months ago. Still no word from emailing their customer service as to where my purchase is or if it is even coming. I will NEVER buy from here again and save your money.

Take a look at the reviews here - tons of 1 star reviews over a span of months. This must have caused a dip in CookStore's business. All of a sudden, on 9/26/19, the staff must have written 9 reviews, all 5 stars, in order to artificially boost their rating on this site.
I am still waiting for my items to get delivered, and placed the order nearly 2 weeks ago. I'm not holding my breath...

I placed an order in March and still to date have not received my product. When contacting their customer service, they just give the same robotic response that they are waiting for my products to arrive and once they do, they will ship it to me as soon as possible... it's a joke. I have now asked for a refund. Lets see how long this takes... do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Contacted company prior to purchase to make sure a $2000 chamber sealer was available for a certain date. They said it was in stock and would receive within 10 days. 3 weeks later it hasn't been shipped and now they are not answering. If I email under a different email inquiring about a new product they answer within the day. If I lived anywhere near you we would be seeing each other face to face. SO SO ANGRY!
Cookstore shipped 4/20 glasses in my order. I commented that they were a bit small and perhaps I could exchange, why ship such a small part of the order after waiting more than a month for it? They had no issues taking my money. I reached out repeatedly asking for phone contact, that NEVER happened. I had to pay return shipping. They were a nightmare to deal with. They have no idea about customer service. Go anywhere else! Buyer beware.
This was my second time using them, and I won't use them again. They gladly took my money a month ago, indicating all the items I ordered were available and would be received promptly. After weeks of run around and messages back and forth indicating some items were out of stock, I was told they would arrive and be shipped to me the first week of December. Today after checking in, I'm told some items will be back in stock in January. Absolutely not acceptable. These were Christmas gifts. I think this company functions on the premise of taking your money knowing full well they don't have the items requested. Then they use stall tactics when you question them to try to rationalize why your order has been delayed. Poor customer service.
Service was outstanding. I'm not sure what happened but the item I originally ordered could not be fulfilled in a reasonable amount of time. When I inquired on the status, they did their best to ensure I was satisfied by offering a comparable knife sharpener but they paid the price difference. Replacement item was shipped and received quickly. I appreciate the effort to turn a potentially bad situation into a good one. I'm very happy! Thank you.
Cookstore waited 6 days to get back to my request for price match. By the time they got back the other offer was expired and cookstore took the opportunity not to honour the cheaper price.
They didn't provide a return label, instead I had to pay $30 for shipping. Never again with that store.
Great! The cutlery set came very quickly and is a great addition to our two other sets that we got from you. Now we can serve a seating of 12... that is a lot more cooking... ah well the table looks wonderful. Thanks!

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
