Not sure how this organization Constant Contact received my email address, but I've been receiving emails from a ton of different companies and even though I have been unsubscribing from those companies there is not way to stop Constant Contact from giving my email to more companies. This has to be illegal.
I signed up fot Constant Contact for 17 diffrent email campaigns all with diffrent email lists, for a total of 100,000 email addresses. I previusly had sent out these lists with Clickback, every 2 weeks for the past 3 years, I was promised by the Constant Contact salesman these lists could be sent. After spending nearly a week converting previous emails and reformatting existing lists, I tried to send them and Constant Contact refused to send them. They wanted written pernission from the "owners" on every one of the 100,000 names! This is impossible, nobody in this business requires this, I immediately cancelled them. Do not do business with this company, they make promises they do not intend on keeping and are living in the dark ages of internet marketing. No other email marketing company requires this.
OMG... didn't spend anytime reading about reviews... got charge the second i signed up for a free account. Been on the phone for over an hour still no one picked up... what a scam!
I WAS CONTACTED BY A CONSTANT REP, HE TOLDME TO TRY IT FOR A MONTH PROMISED ME THAT IF I DONT LIKE IT I WAS GOING TO GET MY MONEY BACK ASAP, I TRIED TO USE IT, I DID NOT LIKE IT AND REPLIED BACK TO THE EMAIL SENT BY THEM AND NO ANSWER, THEN I CALLED THEM AND THEY WANT PROOF THAT I WANTED TO CANCEL! FINALLY ONE LADY AGREE TO REFUND ME BACK AND TOLD ME THAT IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 2 WEEKS TO GET MY MONEY, NOW I RECEIVE AN EMAIL STATING THAT I WONT GET MY MONEY BECAUSE I DID NOT CANCELED PROPERLY! WHAT A SHAME! THEY SET MY CARD TO AUTOMATICALY CHARGE EVERYBODY WITHOUT TELLING US! THEY EXPECT US TO READ ALL THE 20K LEGAL PAGES, BUT THEY DONT SUMMARIZE THEM OR ASK US IF THAT IS WHAT WE WANT! THAT IS NOT RIGHT!
Worst Services Ever, They Just Bluff us. We Paid for account, They charge us $60 and in just 3 days they HOLD our account, we are not able to sent any more mail now. We call on Support morethen 30 Times and each time we wait 20 to 30 minute to talk with the Support team but they automatically disconnect our call.
We are going to process the Dispute against this Website from our Creditcard Support team. I suggest you all please never use them. I have copy of all mail which i sent to support but never go any reply.
Xhtmljunkies Team
Stay away from these scamsters. Not only will they freeze your account after taking your money for a "review" period of indeterminate amount of time, they won't even tell you why!
The WYSISYG method of creating email newsletters is simple enough for anyone to use and it also supports HTML if you know how to code. I have used this as a newsletter service for my business and can say it is very easy to use.
They are okay. I think that there is a meticulous team of reviewers and another team of support crew that can help you incase you get stuck. Good overall
WOW what a Load of Crap. Our Company Tried Constant Contact... 100% FAIL and WASTE of Valuable Company Time.
Be careful of the staff that will call you and try to get into your wallet as they attempt to navigate customer's thru the initial setup. (Nightmare)!@#$%^
Constant Contact is Nothing but a Shady Mail Peddler Spamming Service
* WATCHOUT *
I, like many other users, signed up for a free trial with CC. Thinking I would have a week or 2 to figure out if the system was going to work for our company. I created our account and profile and within minutes of signing up I recieved a call from Andy and he wanted to chat about how I was going to use CC and how he could help. It turns out he couldn't help, until I signed up for a paid subscription. I do a lot of the social media and communications for our company, but I can not authorize purchases, so trying to sell me on anything was a waste of time. I would be more likely to sign up if the calls were about enhancing my user experience, or actually working with me to set up email campaigns. However, every morning Andy calls me to talk about the types of accounts I can purchase. It's a little more than frustrating. Other than that, the program itself is pretty self explanatory. The interface is good and pretty intuitive. Although I've yet to have an experience with customer service that doesn't revolve around selling a subscription, so I can't speak to how helpful technical support is because I'm always rerouted to sales (unless there is only one type of customer service that exists- sales).
Wow! That is great, work is very good. This is GREAT rol, would recommend it to every business. My business has seen quite a larger access to new prospects.
I signed up for the free trial and never found the services useful for my business. I tried to cancel it but have found it so difficult. You HAVE to call and if you try they seem to be closed. I live in Australia and despite having an Australian contact number they operate on USA time which is fine but leaves me a very very small window to call them in. I got through once only to find out that the person I was speaking to couldn't cancel my account. They said they'd set it up as a ticket it for me and it would get cancelled. I didn't get any communication from them for about a year and I never checked (personal life was very stressful, covid aside) but received an email from them today and realised they had been charging me FOR A YEAR. I had even sent an email when I couldn't call them formally stating that I wanted to cancel but was told that I HAD to ring them. SO ANGRY! STILL TRYING TO $#*!ING CACNEL IT! My advice? NEVER USE THEM.
This service claims you can cancel a free trial. You have to call their billing, who never pick up. Very simple scam. Been on the phone 30 minutes.
Terrible customer service, annoying interface, constant troubles. Worthless. Use MailChimp instead. Never use this company.
Works very well, sending out blast E-mails, it goes out to a wide audience, and I get lots of positive responses, very easy to set up and use
Their email marketing platform is good, but it's pretty pricey when sending bulk emails. I think that they can improve in this aspect significantly.
Constant Contact is the best email marketing platform but it can get expensive for a small business.
Be careful they will rip you off. They make it SUPER HARD TO CANCEL. Do not use this service find another one.
Customer moved their site to Constant Contact platform and asked me if I could do SEO. I checked the platform and noticed that it works and operates similar to WordPress or Wix. Therefore, I agreed to do SEO and started digging. I was completely wrong. Constant contact website editor tool is a joke. It is probably developed for a cheap email ad building but surely NOT for a website. Now, there is the tech support of Constant Contact - useless. Any question I ask, answer is "NOT POSSIBLE". For example: the H1 header for the website... not implemented, the "ALT" image tag for the LOGO... not implemented, the canonical URL addition... not possible, FTP access to files... NO. The list can go on and on... but that is the message. If you plan to have your website operational in search engines, AVOID this clowns as far as you can. Even when I tried to use constant contact platform seo tool, I got into a confusion. When you run their seo tool, it suggest some website changes and fixes, they developed it the way that it tells you exactly what and where you have to do that. I tried to follow their suggestions, and this is where I had to contact their tech support and ask for help with implementing all those suggestions. Guess what... I got confirmation from Constant Contact technical support representative, who consulted with higher management, that it is not possible to follow those suggestions and make website fixes. And the fixed suggested were very basic STANDARD html and word processing rules, such as: set h1 tag for each page, set "alt" tags for all images, specify canonical URLs, and some other small things.
Very unprofessional, very rude and dumb tech support from 3rd world countries, pricey.
Answer: Because of their aggressive business practices. They lie, and they're compiling data on YOU and YOUR list to THEIR use. Go with MailChimp. More expensive but at least they don't lie and aren't aggressive.
