Sucks
August 4, 2017

A lot of hype about a technology that they haven't mastered. Freezes up, locks up, skips, jumps and pixelates on both live and on-demand services. At least once a week we have to unplug the whole system and let it re-boot. I don't think Jon Bon Jovi was singing about that in all those ads for this $#itty service.

And the worst thing is that here in Tex-$#*! where they think they have big government sooooo under control, they have allowed monopolies to exist for these cable services, so even if we wanted to switch, we can't. Whole geographic areas are limited to just one cable company. And in this one where we are, all we get is Comcast.

This company represents ALL anti-consumer and anti-users business practices AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. They don't want happy consumers, they want money, they want china-styled internet, they want copyright to have more power for liability. They say f*ck you for cancelling their service, and also mail you a bad name.

The actual problems are:
-Crippled internet:
--Supported the unholy SOPA bill. SOPA stands for "Stop Online Piracy Act", one of the worst copyright bill that luckily didn't pass. It basically gives big corporations power to demand ISP to block sites regardless if legal or not.

--Anti-net neutrality. If you thought web filtering was bad, how about the ISP's turn to do the blocking? They are basically trying to completely block sites that they don't want. Even if you take that out, they wanted to slow certain loading sites to force you to pay more, that's greedy and much worse than software companies using crippleware to encourage users to pay the full version (such as a watermark on video editing programs). I know they are trying to prevent piracy, but those sites are not always used for that reason, some of them are used legally, such as a backup, review, etc.

-Lawsuits. I can't count how many they have, but they even violate a law that enforces net neutrality: Hart v. Comcast Corp. (and also false advertising), overcharging users, etc.

-HORRABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE:
--changing customers' name to a bad name, like Ricardo Brown changed to a curse word.
--The bomb that exploded on "Hurricane Ike", basically comcast didn't care if disasters like this happens, you are still required to return their equipment of renting.
--Trying to terminate the service is also bad, just look at other reviews. There are too many issues.
-Overbilling. I mean really.

And more. This company features every possible thing they did that consumer hates

These guys basically just take your money and run. Service drops constantly, they don't give you the speeds they say they're giving you, and then they raise your rates randomly. Ugh.

Whatever you do, please try to avoid doing business with Comcast at all costs. They lie, they never follow up with a promise for anything, and they are not to be trusted. They actually provide reasonable Internet speeds, but the aggravation that you have to put up with to get their service and to pay their bills is endless. If you have any other option for your Internet, television, or telephone service, run as fast as you can away from Comcast! Trust me, you will be happy that you did.

Those that know me know that I am not a fan of Comcast or its business practices. As an ISP, I would expect Comcast to have high standards for internet connectivity and customer service, but in practice they are a company that are focused almost entirely on maximizing their profits at the expense of positive interactions with their customers across all fronts. Even outside of being an Internet Service Provider, Comcast has a tendency to acquire different businesses and media and turn them into profits for a short period of time before taking away the benefits that consumers find in those different businesses.

Their online services leave a lot to be desired since online resources may not be entirely factual. For example, those looking to sign up for Internet service in their area may see speeds that are claimed to be available to them only to find that they have to settle for a lesser speed since the infrastructure in their area is not able to support those faster speeds. I've personally had to deal with a number of negative interactions with their staff and the contractors they send out to fix issues with their service. Comcast, in some markets, outsources the people that are sent out to their clients to fix or connect service. This essentially becomes a guessing game on whether or not the individual will be respectful and friendly.

Xfinity/Comcast sent a sub contractor to my home (I thought the rep was an Xfinity/Comcast employee) he broke several of my personal items. Now the company if giving me a hard time replacing them. One of the items the rep broke cost $800.00. Xfinity is trying to replace it with an item that will only cost them $479 and they want me to give my $800.00 item to them in order for them to give me the $479 item.
This company doesn't care about their customer. They are only interested in making and saving money. Anything outside of that doesn't matter to them.
If you have the option of using another cable/TV provider please do so.

There boxes never work there WiFi internet box never works I've had dial-up in my time and it was way better. $#*! these people a large on demand selection my $#*! of all the same $#*! that's on cable everyday it's called reruns Xfinity. Plus your stuck with a contract. I currently have boxes with internet and phone service let's see my phone never works I've went out and bought many different phones I plugged them in my phone always says in use therefore I never have calls coming in then on top of everything the price for the four boxes home phone and internet bundle which is under contract is costing me 234.34 a month RIGHT... his company is nothing but a money-hungry scam all they care about is getting to the customer's home on time they don't care about their service who the hell cares about getting to us on time they need to focus on the service that is provided through their company which is terrible Plus for that amount of money I forgot to mention that I only have about a hundred and fifty six channels with on demand which is no point of having because everything played on these hundred and 56 channels is the same stuff played on their so-called on demand. The Wi-Fi is even worse I can only walk 15 feet from my box and then lose service. If you get this cable service have your lawyer on standby

Worthless
February 28, 2017

AKC IS WORTHLESS! THERE REGISTRATION MEANS NOTHING! THEY ALLOW BREEDERS TO SELL SICK, UNHEALTHY PUPPIES WITH EVEN GENETIC DEFECTS AND DON'T CARE. MY PUP IS GOING BLIND BECAUSE OF JUST THAT. I CALLED AKC TO REPORT THE BREEDER WHO INTENTIONALLY AND KNOWINGLY DID JUST THAT AND WAS TOLD AKC DOESN'T GET INVOLVED IN THAT AND DOESN'T CARE. ALL AKC DOES IS COLLECT MONEY. THAT'S WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT AND ONLY THAT! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PURCHASING AN AKC REGISTERED PUPPY TO ANYONE.

This company COMCAST AND FIOS ARE ripping off of consumers actual bundles even basic is over priced. A TRIPLE PLAY $199 are you serious. Their markup after their trials are over $300 a month - your local municipalities are allowing these companies to rip off all the people in a district. They have horrible prompts and they make excuses for their inflated overpriced packages - there is no discount since the package is $199+ before boxes and routers the only thing you can do is find another company. One person $191.00 a month more than car insurance and they are getting away with it. I am getting rid of them today complaining to HUD and my property management. THE DISH NETWORK IS WORSE. CABLE COMPANIES are robbing families vote out all the mayors and legislators when their terms are up they are all in cahoots.

We moved to Naples FL. In July. I was given the equiptment I needed. I spent over an hour taliking to some country in Asia. I was told that someone had to set this up as there was no signal. Received a date 4 days later. Took time off from work. NO SHOW. I argued with South America - try to call a local comcast store or get an American to talk to. Set up another date. I was told no elictrical acess in attic. First there is, I checked; 2nd the tech ran an extensiion cord from a room in the house to one TV. Very safe... The same moron left his tools in he house. Reschedule, could not get anyone from Comcast after 5 PM for another 3 days. Fixed. 2 months later... no longer connected. I hired someone privately to take care of it after Asia again. Billed for 3 tech visits by Comcast. My online bill has always been different than my postal bill. Calling about money? Now you get an American. I'm going to break what is considered to be a Comcast Contract - JOKE. STAY AWAY FROM COMCAST THEY ARE POORLY RUN, EXPENSIVE, AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

This company is so bad I would consider moving if Comcast was the only Internet Service Provider. Try Brighthouse. It is like night and day. Bright House has only excellent customer service and the techs are prompt, knowledgeable and competent. Just go to a Comcast store, take a number, wait. They treat you with disrespect, the installers are horrible, the service is inconsistent and I will be shocked if they do not rip you off on your bill. An experience this bad has got to come from the top. The only thing worse than being a customer of Comcast is being an employee.

This is only a tip of the iceberg on this legal cartell, thiefs they are.As soon as I get the bill to 0 it comes back at 325.00 for basic tv and internet only! This is like the 15th time for this, always some reason why. Plus you have to pay them to be able to pay a month ahead, did u know that? Which is bull too. Also of course I got lots of added on goodies I never asked for nor gave my permission for to be added to my bill. Must have pi--ed them off when I switched my phone to century link. It supposedly broke up the bundle, but they had other bundles, so 320 dollars a month for 2 things? Cmon, How can a company get away with all of this crap. 8+ years worth of nothing but crap. Every month I have to call about something for years and years straight. Never-ending lies and scams and thievery. In my area they were the only ones available for quite some time without going to sat. So Ive had to deal with them. Im up for a lawsuit if anyones with me on this I have so much on these people now they need to just admit their sins and pay us all back and for all this stress and time wasted ++. I could really write a book on this company if your a lawyer get ahold of me, these people need to be sued!

Comcast sucks
August 4, 2016

I was told that I need a tech to come out for something that was not my fault. When I recieved my bill I was charged for it. I called in and they told me it was my fault that the remote was not sending a signal to the box at 2am in the morning. The remote was working fine all day then stopped. How could this be my fault. They would not wave the fee, only discount it. I still had to pay $20 for an issue I could not control. I'm pissed. I hate comcast and soon I'll be moving back to AT&T!

I've been a cable and Internet customer of theirs for around six years now and I can't really say I am surprised anymore when calling into their support means I am investing my time into getting the issue resolved. I have been on the phone with them for four hours in one sitting before.

The service will go out and I will have to call them from my cell phone to reach them. When this generally happens, I am having to go outside so I can actually have a signal since I obviously cannot use my Wifi to make the call. I then have to wait to get someone, explain what is going on, and run through a lot of diagnostics. Usually two hours later they will realize that it is an entire area outage, but they will not really give an idea of when I can expect to get service. However, they are really the only viable option right now.

Too many times a week I have to resend a signal to my router, this takes about a half and hour to complete and is a hassle. I never get to talk to a person because of their automated system. For $200 a month I expect better.

Trash
June 24, 2016

Comcast Xfinity is the WORST company that I have ever had to deal with. From inception the agent gave me the wrong pricing which took 3 months to fix and is still not properly fixed. Calling in to speak to somebody is comparable to getting on a plane and flying to the for the farthest destination you can possibly imagine. No one can ever give you the correct information. The wait time you will go through 100% of your battery use. The computers are always down and they simply hang up on you when they tell you this. They ask for all your information prior to getting a live agent and then they ask the same questions. Dealing with this company is like going to the dentist having a tooth pulled and not using any Novacane. If you have an option to use any other company do so. Do your homework people. Look at all the negative reviews. That alone says something

When they send you a late bill, they always cut off service days befor the date listed on the bill, and they make sure to shut it down befor things like the superbowl. If you pay your bill on time thier service is great, so just rember to pay on time. Also dont fall fo thier own a movie scam, if you cancel thier service the movie you own is gone. Spend 2 bucks more and get it on blueray.

I haven't had Comcast cable or internet in 4 years and I doubt I will ever go back; I have also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau over their fraudulent practices. From what I can tell, nothing has changed. I'll tell you up front that they need to give every customer service rep a dictionary so that they can look up "complementary". I was having considerable trouble with my connection (It turned out that there was exposed cable wire lying in a puddle of water after every rain) and when I'd complain customer service would offer some kind of "complementary" upgrade for my "trouble". Well, complementary is supposed to mean free, but I kept getting charged for these supposedly free services. When I would demand a full refund all that they would do offer is a partial refund for that month--which didn't cover the costs I'd already paid in order to keep my account in good standing. This was clearly unacceptable given I never would have accepted those "free" upgrades if I'd known I was going to pay for them. Even worse, some of those upgrades were done without my permission at all. The first I would know about them was when my bill went up. Terrible customer service, and clearly a scam. I never received my full refund, which after a year and a half was considerable. I finally got fed up and refused to pay until I received my refund which never happened despite my attempts to work with the Better Business Bureau. Ironically the BBB closed my last complaint as "resolved" even though it never was. Don't deal with Comcast. They will never change until we boycott their services completely. Most locations offer competitors to Comcast these days ifyou can't live without your cable TV; we need to hit 'em where it hurts: in the wallet. We don't need Comcast; but they need our money.
