I love the idea and really want it to work, but it does not seem to be going well. The shipping is terribly slow! I returned an item last Wednesday, and today (Monday) noticed that no items were even scheduled to be shipped to me. I called customer service only to be told they were having problems fulfilling orders. Why am I paying to have multiple items out, if you can't fulfill the order. They gave me a free extra item, how will that work when you can't even fulfill my items. Their response was to add more to my closet, what 35 items is not enough? You can't charge people for a certain number of items when you are not able to provide the service!
I really think some people call into the company or any company with the attitude that there is going to be a problem and they already have their mind set their is going to be a problem. Last year I had to stop my account due to lack of money. They were very nice even asked if they gave me a discount for a few months if that would help and I had to say no to that so then I was offered the deal to keep my account open for I think $5 a month and I had to refuse that and said I would just let them know when I could restart. No pressure and nobody being rude. So I really think if you call someone with a stinky attitude and a cocky voice that's what your gonna get in return. And their clothing isn't cheap, I didn't like all of it but I liked some of it and was so happy I got to buy a few items. So now you've heard my two cents worth. Thanks, Sandra
I have been a member for several years and find my enthusiasm waning. It seems to take longer to receive a new shipment and with the increase of size offerings to include regular womens sizes (not just plus size), I find far more things that are not available to me, making GB a more discouraging shopping experience.
Ive been a long time customer and have always loved the service! Recently though Ive noticed it taking longer for my new selections to reach me. Ive also noticed a ton of unseasonable clothes being sent to me - sweater dresses in July, etc. This never used to happen and Ive been really disappointed the past few months
I am very unhappy! The one "free" month is a joke! I received two outfits, originally. I sent them back immediately and I haven't received anything since. I even called. Spoke with someone who said that you have to have 5 outfits in your closet. I put more in the closet and still haven't received anything else. If I get charged for what they think is past my free month, I will have to take some type of legal action!
I love not having to buy clothes as my weight fluctuates up and down, plus they are really nice clothes and not cheap. I don't love every single thing that comes in and they do not expect me to so I put it in the bag and back it goes. I did have one aggravating issue when I tried to purchase an item and I would not recommend to email their customer service but I did call after I was unsatisfied with the response thru email and the lady that answered could not have been nicer and helped me figure out the issue and I was able to correct it. I have a full closet and add to it every week. If you work and your in an office this totally works... even their casual items I wear on dress down days and weekends, you can't go wrong but that is my personal opinion.
I am currently a Gwynnie Bee subscriber and of course I feel ripped off just like the rest of the reviewers. I was promised 50% off my first two months and of course they charged me in full both months. I am a size 10/12 and they have very few items in my size. Even when they claim it's a 10/12, it is not. Once in a rare while I find something I like, but most of their clothes are not fashionable. If your looking for something sexy, forget about Gwynnie Bee. They have ruined a potentially great business idea.
I love being able to try out so many different clothes and being able to greatly expand my wardrobe without paying a fortune. I have also had good experiences with their customer service representatives.
Without explanation, Gwynnie Bee has stopped its regular Tuesday and Thursday release of no garments. When I messaged customer service inquiring, I received no response the first time and a sketchy response the second time. Makes me winder if they are on the way out.
Great styles, fast service... And just my size! I really love GB, and have been with the company for about three years. I've expanded my wardrobe, and will happily get them taken in when I lose the weight!
I thought I was starting a trial. They automatically charged my card after the trial was supposed to be free. The card that they wanted was just to pre-authorize. I log into my bank because I got an alert they charged my card. It caused me to be overdrawn and I tried to contact them immediately I get a response stating they didn't charge my card so I did a screenshot of my bank account send it right back now they're telling me it'll be 48 hours before it's resolved. So are they going to pay two more days of overdraft plus the one I already have? It's the only response I can get from them this is the worst subscription company I have ever dealt with
Been with you folks for years! Even when I was working on the road I had my items sent there! The main thing, I think, I would change is the ability to put my membership on hold. If not working, I would prefer to not have to spend the money for those months; and don't want to stop and start the membership as it would come back at a higher rate.
I also wish there were more Johnny Was to go around, but I know they are probably the most popular items!
Occasionally I have found the same items in stores at a much lower price, which disappoints me as I have been a cheerleader for GB since I started!
Thanks for all you do- especially while I am losing weight and don't want to spend money on clothes until I am at my goal! BUT it is getting a bit too pricey and at my age and about to be on a fixed income, I will probably have to cancel in the not too distant future.
Maybe an over 65 price for those on Social Security with a young sense of style?
TY,
Judi Z
It is fun to get a new box each week with clothes that make me feel good about myself. Everyday I get several compliments about the clothes I wear. I am known around my office as the stylish gal - even though I'm 50 years old. I have also added several pieces to my own wardrobe that I would have never purchased on my own. After wearing a piece that makes me feel beautiful I know I have to keep it.
Select clothes you like online, wait at least 10 days (shipping speeds of wagon and mules), have the wrong clothes arrive and combine that with smelly, stained cheap quality... I wouldn't use this service if it was free.
Been 3 months, have plenty of items in my closet but they haven't been sending any items. I try to cancel my account and i have to CALL them during banker's hours? What is this 2001? The 4 outfits they sent me previously only 1 fit, and 1 didn't match the image. Garbage company. Absolute garbage
Pros: you can keep things in your closet as long as you want. Wide variety of clothes to choose from and explore. Good way to experiment and explore your fashion sense.
Cons: I'm not too pleased with their customer service on the GB Shop side. I bought something that came with a stain on it and it took a little arguing to get what I felt I deserved in terms of compensation. Sometimes I find that items are in demand a lot and it's hard to get the really popular items. I have things in my closet that's been there for a year. That sucks.
Overall I still have my service and I'm mostly happy with it. I haven't experienced any issues with unauthorized charges and I always receive my items.
There are a lot a good things to say about Gwynnie Bee. The convenience of shopping from home, quick deliveries and easy returns are the best, and overall selection is good. I've had a lot of issues with getting my sizes right, and spent a lot of time ordering, trying on, and returning items (so much so that I'm considering terminating my account since I'm paying a lot to just try on & return clothes). I currently have a blouse that I like and would purchase if it wasn't so expensive (found the same blouse on sale at local Stein Mart for less than $20 but not my size - GB's "sale" price is over $60!). Website could use some updating to make shopping easier: pare down choices by sleeve length, better (more defined) color options, easier ways to select more than one designer, the ability to 'return to results list' ala amazon would be great.
I live in Chicago so pretty centrally located and it takes 8 days from the day I ship back to the day I receive IF my shopping closet is full. If your online closet isn't full, it'll take even longer. Some of the clothes have been drastically shrunk and are still in circulation. No recourse if you aren't happy and horribly small selection of clothes. Most of them I've seen at my local dept store. I've spoken with customer service a few times and they won't refund the last half of my unused subscription. Very consumer unfriendly.
The quality of the clothes they offer a ok at best. They were mostly polyester and many of them were clearly worn. The only good part of the service was their outlet that often had very good prices but you were defintiely taking your chances because there was no returns.
However, the real problem came when I tried to cancel. I had to call in 3 times over 3 different months. Most recently, today, I was on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up. I have better things to do than be on hold waiting for awful customer service! AVOID!
The only way the clothes are worth it to get is if you pay for the 3 items around 80 bucks otherwise don't get to wear much with all the shipping and waiting. I did like some of the clothes but what I don't like is their customer service. They play nice and gave me an extra week but still deny me the fact I cancelled my membership a day before the trial ended and charged me. When I called them on it they now say that I didn't cancel the membership when I know I did so I'm thinking they somehow changed it or something. Oh and they give me a second wardrobe item out at a time just as I was about to end my membership. I think they did that just to try to get me to keep me hooked. So why did they wait all month to give it to me I didn't even get to use it. Just bad business all around. I was considering using the membership at a later date because I liked having new clothes come in but now having been treated that way I will never again and warn whoever I can.
Answer: You have to re-add them, but there is a "history" section that keeps track of your items so they are easier to find.
Answer: The clothes are cleaned and then sent out to the next person who requested that item in that size. After a period of time (not sure how long) the clothes are put into their for sale section of the site. I've purchased several items after wearing them at incredible savings.
Answer: They are used but have been laundered - you have no need to do that unless you wish to do so. Also they are usually in excellent shape. If you ever receive anything that isn't, make sure you let them know so they can pull it from their inventory.
Answer: Hi Tara - Everyone experiences the service differently. I think the best thing is to judge for yourself. We offer a 30 day free trial, which allows you to do just that. Before joining you can check out our FAQs & browse the collection. If you have any questions, please contact us at gwynnie@gwynniebee.com or 855-GWYNNIE
Answer: It means they will upgrade your items by 1 for the life of your plan. If you sign up for 5 items, and stay with 5 items, you will get 1 free upgrade meaning you will get 6 items. If you change your plan later however, that free upgrade could go away. SandieB
Answer: Hello Susan, Thanks for your interest in our service. Yes, our's is a garment rental service, with the most popular plan of (2 garments out at a time), priced at $68 + taxes per 30-day billing cycle. Those on the 2-item plan usually receive 6-8 garments per month depending on how fast they return them. Speaking of which, you may keep the garments with you as long as you need, before returning them in exchange for another garment/s. When you're ready to receive another garment - we have a "Return Notification" feature where you can give us a heads-up that items are on their way back to us and we can start processing your next package. Our average turnaround time is 4-7 days depending on if you use our return notification feature & where you live. The return notification feature lets you tell us when you're returning an item, so we do not wait to physically receive it & can start processing your replacement within an hour of clicking. Importantly, should you like to purchase any garment you receive as part of your rental shipment you can do so easily, and that too, at generously discounted prices. I hope this helps. Best, Gwynnie

We are sorry for the inconvenience. However, please check our collection from time to time, for garments which you may find suitable in your style and also, in your size :). We'd love for you to try the 30-day free trial to see how many garments you can get for yourself! Our average turnaround time is 4-7 days depending on if you use our return notification feature & where you live. The return notification feature lets you tell us when you're returning an item, so we do not wait to physically receive it & can start processing your replacement within an hour of clicking.
