I love classpass, a bit expensive but you can really get your moneys worth if you sign up for expensive classes. The rules of it with the cancellation policy for classes are straight forward and it actually helps me be motivated to go to a class that Id otherwise cancel or skip out on. I love the variation of classes. I usually stick to Pilates, spin, yoga and barre but there are allot more out there and different types. The caliber of classes and studios that you go to with this are much better than a regular gym and cheaper than memberships to the studios.
This company is a major scam, cannot cancel membership and will just close my credit card down if they cannot cancel. The site is a joke. Their platform if you can even call keeps you in a loop never allowing you to get to the cancellation page. There is no way to contact them I plan to report this company to the BBB.
Accused customer of fraud without providing evidence and wanted customer to upgrade membership in order to use the platform. Unable to satisfy customer demand and want customer to continue using the platform. Bad service, bad attitude
I had the most awful experience! Locked into 3 months, terrible response time, "system glitch" opened spaces in classes that were already full, blamed me for issues, lost money on every booking AND their clients cancel last minute constantly! Don't use them!
Very bad business ethic. Save yourself alot of time and headache and avoid using them and just book directly. They will charge you for miss class and when you try to provide proof or argue your case they will basically turn the other way and ignore you. Service may seem intuitive or good at first but they will try to nickle and dime you any chance they get. Forget about customer service also. They don't get paid enough to deal with your problems. Most will just be rude and ignore you. I canceled as soon as i could and even then they try to squeeze the last few pennies from me.
I was a classpass member and canceled well before COVID hot due to their terrible service. I just received my credit card statement and thise sneaky crooks started up my membership again after being canceled for several months pre covid.
If you've ever did business with this company, check your card statements!
A No is No. Told them I'd cancel my "membership" after a trial, and instead of cancelling the subscription, they bump it up to premium. And they have been charging me for the past 6 months. Had to follow up with a new cancellation plus a follow up email.
Payal Kadakia (CEO of ClassPass) I know you are a startup founder, and you are trained to not take "No" for an answer. But a "No" is a "No". Try to do your job every now and then, and try not be a blood sucking scam company, who live off clients precious money by stealing their money.
They shorted me credits and their billing date changes monthly. Virtually no customer service and the majority of my reservations get canceled day of.
Don't get tricked into this scam of a business
I signed up for a free trial of 2 weeks and I never actually got to use it for any class and then the next month roll over I was charged 75$ for 20 credits. I only noticed 2 weeks into the new month membership. So I thought I would cancel the membership for the following month, in the meantime, I thought I would sign up for a class just to see if I could make it. I didn't end up making to the class and they ended up charging me 20$ for not showing and they supposed to refund you the credits of the class, however, my membership expired next day so I wasn't able to use the "credits" they refunded. I essentially got double charged. Overall, I paid 50$ for not using their service. I do not recommend classpass to anyone. I am never the person to write a bad review but they really upset me.
When I was on vacation in Florida, I saw an offer for one of their free services, went to one of their facilities & received their free offer and I signed up for info. Two months later I received a $49.00 monthly charge. I do not live in Florida, I live in Blairsville, Georgia. Classpass does not have any facilities within 60mi of me. Also, there is no way to contact them or their credit card processor (SPRINT). I consider this unethical scam a complete fraud. Watch out for Classpass.
Please be weary of using ClassPass. I literally had two weekends in a row where I signed for a class that didn't happen and they never bothered to tell me. The first time I caught it before I left my house. The second time I didn't and was literally standing outside a dark, closed studio confused. When I contacted Classpass, they refunded my credits but since I had canceled my membership, I was told I had to use the credits by the next day, which I can't do as someone with a full time job who travels to another state to work. When I complained further, they blamed their "studio partners" and said they couldn't extend my unused credits for the next month or reimburse. Their solution? Uncancel my membership so the credits carry over. So basically give them MORE money. It looks like they've happily screwed me out of my money but hopefully someone will read this and it can save them from the same thing happening.
Hi Kellye, we're so sorry to hear about your frustration about your cancelled classes. Totally understand how disappointing it is to turn up to class that was cancelled without notice. It is never our intention to mislead you or provide you with a subpar class experience. If you could please send us an email to http://classpass.com/contact with your account information, we'd be happy to look into your account to see how we can help.
Classpass is a scam. I had 100 credits (that I paid for) and lost them all because I did not agree to resume a monthly subscription after covid. It's shameful and it's a scam. Don't get involved with them.
Shady business practices, they mischarge, and overcharge. I signed up for a 1 month trial and they used a bait and switch tactic to extort money out of my account. I literally went to 1 class and they charged me a full month membership fee on my 2nd class. This is shady and untrustworthy. Not to mention the class credits are so ridiculously hight, some classes 9 or 10+ credits. Honestly you are better to just pay the fitness studios directly because they take advantage of the studios too. I will never use ClassPass again. I cannot agree to giving my money to a business that I cannot trust with my credit card information. On top of that, if you do have an issue - good luck getting a live person. I have gone back and forth over inept customer service emails for the past week and have accomplished nothing but wasting my time and money. Also, if they wrongly charge your card, it is next to impossible to get a refund from this business.
I tried to cancel my membership and they made it almost impossible. I recently broke my leg and requested to cancel my membership.
1) They don't give you the option to cancel on the mobile app despite the fact that most functionality to use classpass is on the app
2) I logged in via my laptop and tried to cancel. Once i hit the cancel button, there was a really tiny text box at the bottom of the screen that said I would need to chat with a customer service rep to confirm my cancellation (? Wtf is that?)
3) I then explained the situation about my broken leg to the customer service rep. I was then offered a cheaper plan to convince me to stay on.
4) it was a pretty lengthy intense conversation to convince the rep to cancel my subscription. This is the most $#*!ed thing I've ever had to do.
5) this business is a scam. Makes it impossible to cancel. Absolute mockery
Hi Jugal, we're so sorry to hear about your injury and we definitely understand if you need to cancel your membership. We have a cancel chat feature in place to learn more about your experience with ClassPass but we sincerely apologize if that process was cumbersome or frustration for you. Thanks for your feedback regarding your cancellation experience. We will be sure to pass along your sentiments to our product team so we can make improvements in the future. Please feel free to reach out to us at classpass.com/contact if you need any further assistance with your account or if you have additional feedback.
DO NOT TRUST this merchant. They are charging me for a subscription for Minneapolis and I don't even live there. I contacted them stating this and requesting a full refund and they refuse to give me one. Terrible customer service and this company is fraud.
If i could give the a 0 i would, i sign up back in July for my business. They say they will integrity the software so i can see when client are booked. I emailed, call left so many Massages to Jinnefer she is the one who sign me up sent document to sign. But she never responded. And after a while i got an email from Carla, i explain to her the problem and since it has been few months and problem wasn't fix i just want to cancel it. Because they book client and i don't see it on my schedule and i was unable to fit the clients and it was causing bad impression on my business. Her respond was you sign until October 29,2023 we are unable to cancel she sent me the Doc i sign. I told her fix the problem then it was never fix for the whole 6 month now its October 30,2023 i got an email from Classpass saying my account is canceled. Please anyone that is planning to do business with this company think twice and make sure you have everything you need done before you sign the document. The worst company, i been in business for 12 years, never had this experience except with Class Pass.
Yesterday I had 70 credits and because I didn't want to loose the credits, I wanted to book something for it. System wouldn't let me and actually booked from my new credits for the new month. I contacted them and as always, they are super greedy and they never make any gestures towards anyone. I paid £65 for over a year sometimes not using the service even once a month. And still, they told me I cannot recover the 70 credits or at least 20 or 10 out of them. So yesterday app was showing 70 credits but actually couldn't use any! Not nice people and extremely greedy! They will never help you via the chat or email so don't expect anything from them, they are the greediest company that I have ever dealt with!
The plus side of ClassPass is that you have access to several gyms so the sheer variety is good. You can also switch between cities so if you travel a lot, this would be good for you.
If you at all have an inconsistent schedule, ClassPass is not for you. It's not flexible about missed classes ($20) or late cancellations ($15), so don't even think about it if you're not 100% sure you will actually make it to class. This is reasonable but the dealbreaker is thatClassPass doesn't inform you that they'll be charging you until a week after they've already processed fees... So there's no way to tell if the charge was a mistake (you weren't checked in) or a legitimate fee (you genuinely missed class) until one week later. This is a huge miss.
Best of luck.
Hi Jewelle, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! We're glad to hear that you enjoy the flexibility of our membership (we're in over 80+ cities worldwide now).
However, we definitely understand that it can be hard to plan ahead with a bus schedule. As a friendly reminder, many of our classes are available to book up to 10-15 minutes before class time! If you're uncertain if you can make it to class, this might be a helpful tip to keep in mind. Regarding missed classes, there should be a notification email. If you need help with your account (i. E. resubscribing to these emails), please send us an email at http://classpass.com/contact and we'd be happy to take a look for you.
After waking with a 101 fever and a headache and then testing positive for COVID, I requested a late cancellation of a class. They told me they could not cancel. The only way to avoid the fee was to show up to the class, involving a train ride and exposing the gym to symptomatic COVID. I obviously didn't go, but what a $#*!ty policy to encourage that.
I applied the cancellation immediately while my New Zealand is locked, but they ignore the request and keep charging for 3 months! Anyone knows how to claim?
Answer: I was having a good experience until I tried to change billing date and things got complicated. I was still billed on date I was trying to change was advised I will need to cancel then reactivate account. Even though I was charged it is showing I don't have any credits. I tried chatting and getting this figured out but I am being told I don't have credits even thought I just paid. I tried cancelling several times and its always a chat nightmare,
Answer: Great concept... terrible execution and company. Someone please hurry and make a better company using this concept because the idea was actually quite good but I refuse to give them anymore of my money.
Answer: Oh, it's easy to get a hold of Customer Service but THEY WILL NOT HELP You if you need a refund for an erroneous charge or a mistake ClassPass has made. They'll simply tell you over and over they can't issue any refunds no matter what even if you haven't used a single credit and no physical property has been exchanged.
ClassPass has a rating of 1.1 stars from 245 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with ClassPass most frequently mention customer service, free trial and credit card. ClassPass ranks 77th among Gym sites.
Hi Esther, we're so sorry to hear about your frustration here with your account and the missed class. As a friendly reminder, ClassPass is a monthly subscription, so it does auto-renew after the trial if you don't request a cancellation. All plan change requests and cancellations process for the upcoming monthly cycle. Please send us an email at http://classpass.com/contact with your account information, and we'd be happy to see if there's anything we can do to help!
