This company is only about the dollar bills. They don't give a $#*! about customer service and they don't give a $#*! about the studios on their platform. They pay pennies to the people who provide the classes on their system but their membership rate is so low that it's gouging small businesses. So that boutique studio you love with the great community will no longer be once CP gets their claws into their cash drawer.
As a student you sign up hoping for a good selection or variety but what you get are the same classes and class types. Studios are so frustrated with Class Pass that as a member you suffer because the studio doesn't want Class Pass members. Good luck! I hope these guys shrivel up and sink into the dirt.

I had now already two bad experiences with Classpass where I had the feeling they unfairly take credits away you already paid for. First time was as with corona there was no option to use credits i accumulated a lot of them and then wanted to switch to a lower subscription so i could use the credits i accumulated but they did not inform that the credits will be taken away from you you accumulated (which doesnt make sense to me as i had paid for them).

Now there was the problem with deduction of my subscription payment and I did not receive any reminder or instructions to transfer the money manually. A week later after the deduction failed i get a message saying that my membership has been cancelled and all credits were taken away. I contacted customer service telling me i cant get my previous credits back (the ones i accumulated from the previous months not using them)

SCAMMED OUT OF £65.00
February 9, 2020

Same as other people's complaints. Scammed out of £65.00 this month after cancelling my free subscription in good Time. 3 months later I've been charged for something I had no idea about or why? Being told I can't be refunded. Disgusting company with terrible ethics scamming people out of their money.

I found this page too late! After going through the multi step cancellation process and being told my account was closed, I just noticed (after the 2nd monthly charge hit) that my subscription was never canceled. I wrote customer service explaining the situation and got a form letter back stating there is nothing they can do.

I found this page because I wondered if they did the same to others. Clearly this is not a one-off mistake but rather the shady way ClassPass makes extra money. Now that I know I will dispute directly with credit card and see where that goes. So be warned -- when you try to cancel, make sure you take a picture of the chat window and get anything in writing if you talk to someone. It's a scam.

I'm happy to update this review. Thankfully, Classpass has turned out to be just what the fitness omnivore was hoping for when Fitmob first came on the scene. The site runs as a website should, navigation is fine and the number of participating studios has expanded so that few classes are filled. Gym time, yes that would be time at a gym to use their equipment, is severely reduced, but the gains in classes outweighs it for those who want group class access to a variety of strength, yoga, Pilates, martial arts and barre studios. Enjoy!

ClassPass charge me over $1000 for 10 billing cycles which I notify them to cancel in the first month after free trial period end. This is a ponzi scheme. If they REALLY want to give you free trial, they wont ask you about your credit card number.

Avoid classpass at all cost. It is better for you to spend money on pornhub than this bloodsucking company.

Classpass does not communicate clearly the cancellation and no show policies to new users. They want to make money out of new user who are unfamiliar with these shady policies. They show no honor or respect to new users who are tricked by their non-transparent services. They do not seem to want to build long-term relationships with their users.

It's rip off!
October 25, 2022

A subscription to classpass is just subscribing to give them free money! I would say only join if you like throwing your money away! It actually would be more entertaining to just burn the money it that case!

... and then I lose the carried over credits I had which were equivalent to the "light" membership cost I had. How can they just cancel. So they don't want my subscription. Weird. To reactivate it COSTS 79$ and even if I reactivate I have to take the 159 offer. I don't like the points system! I'm desperately looking for something comparable to GUAVA PASS which was a delight in comparison to this ClassPass. Unfortunately ClassPass bought them over here in t he UAE.

Hi Anisoara, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We do apologize for any frustration here – to clarify, since ClassPass is a monthly subscription service, you do need an active subscription to use credits from your membership or roll over unused credits. Not worth your time
August 13, 2022

I've had one successful experience, beyond that, I've had 3 appts in a row be cancelled the day before. Today I had an appt for a hair cut. I checked out the place on google. It was permanently closed! I was about to drive 10 miles one direction to see a place that didn't even exist anymore. This app is a complete waste of your time. They don't actually have relationships with anyone they claim to, nor don't bother to update anything. Why waste your time?

I own a business in minneapolis and after a few months I canceled my class pass partnership and they still continue to send clients to my business. They have no access to my booking …. People just book all day and show up. I have sent them innumerable emails… they never respond. It's mind boggling how horrible class pass is to partner with. A total nightmare and they could singlehanded destroy your business reputation

No phone number. The only way to contact them is thru email if they even answer the email. If they do respond, it is just a canned response and they neglect to answer the question or address the issue at large. What a joke. Even their cancellation process is annoying.

Don't use ClassPass.
August 25, 2023

It is a rip-off as far as value goes, the amount you spend doesn't end up being a good deal at all. The icing on the cake for me was I tried countless times to make an appointment for a massage and I would get a message from a Classpass representative at the last minute that they were unable to schedule my massage. I decided to end up subscription and lost all my credits that I had payed for. When I reached out to Classpass they told me there was nothing they could do for me so they basically robbed me of all the money I spent for the classpass credits I had left.

Classpass is one of the worst apps that I had. First, without any warning Classpass starts your membership and charges $79 to your bank without any warning. The classes that are available on the app are also very subpar. I signed up for a crossfit class and it was in the middle of an industrial area literally connected to a food manufacturing company and the area was very sketchy. The actual gym itself was also in a bad condition. I think that they don't vet the studio partners. As a result, I did not attend the class and I got charged $15! I basically got charged $94 unwanted. Be careful when using this app it tries it best to scam you!

Hi Elaine, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. As a friendly reminder, ClassPass is a monthly subscription service that auto-renews each month. We note this during the sign up process and in our confirmation emails. We're sorry to hear about the frustration with your class as well. Please send us an email to http://classpass.com/contact we'd be happy to see if there's anything we can do to help.

If you book a reservation that occurs within your next billing cycle, they will deduct the credits from your current cycle and also in your next billing cycle, the month that the reservation takes place. I've lost a lot of credits this way, over $50 worth. I've talked to customer service and they've said that credits will only be deducted from the month the reservation takes place but its not the case from what I've seen; they deduct credits immediately when you book no matter when the reservation takes place and also during the next month if your reservation overlaps. Customers aren't allowed to cancel appointments within 12 hour before it takes place but somehow, businesses are allowed to cancel your appointment anytime they want-- I had a business cancel my appointment 20 minutes before it was scheduled, and I had already made the effort to travel down and was going to reach soon. Wrong prioritisation and its clear that they only care about making money.

I canceled my membership but was still getting charged...I talked with customer service about a refund but they were no help. I asked to talk with a manager or someone else. They said someone would be in touch within 48 hours. Never heard back. When I tried to log back into my account they had completely taken it down so it didn't look like I had even existed. I had to go through my back to get money back. Stay away.

Beware of ClassPass
August 11, 2022

In looking for eligible gyms on my Kaiser website, I ran across ClassPass. I decided to take the trial offer at $5. The day before it expired, I decided to cancel. They ignored my request to cancel, and charged me the full amount. I asked my bank to reverse the charge, and they attempted to work with ClassPass. In the end, ClassPass refused to reverse the charge. BEWARE of this fraudulent company. My next step will be to contact my health insurance company and request that the link to them be removed. Buyer beware!

Hi Amanda. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're so sorry for any confusion with our class cancellation policy – the late cancellation window for the majority of our classes is 12 hours before class time. We do explain this throughout the class reservation (and cancellation) process, and your credits do get returned to your account when you cancel.

If you have further questions about your account, please reach out to us at http://classpass.com/contact with the name and email on your account and we're happy to look into this for you.

CLASS PASS SUCKS A**
April 28, 2022

Oh my god, they did that to me too! Increased the price for 15 credits from $29 to $35 with same amount of credits. I cannot believe they also charged me $9 a month to pause my membership with no additional credits given. $9 to pause!? What!? Who charges to pause! This is so unethical. #classpasssucks
