I have paid everything I owed on Saturday with the promise from manager that my puppy and refunds would be delivered when I paid. No delivery last night of either.
Selected a bid for transport and paid extra for a solo trip for my pets. After I paid the deposit, the contractor changed the dates of pick up and delivery. Poor communication throughout. Driver admitted to transporting other dogs and spent 12 hours in Nashville on "personal business". Would not share GPS information until third day of transport (supposed to be a two day trip) unsure if cats have been let out of cages at all. Discussed concerns with driver and was told "cats like cages" and that what he was doing in Nashville was none of my business. Reached out to citizenshipper to express concerns. Initially responsive but have not followed up. I would not recommend this company and will not use them in the future
Suddenly, after I paid them $199.00, the agreement changed. The transport company was to be paid at delivery. Now they want more money down and have a contract an attorney will tell you not to agree to. Citizen Shipper denies what is written on their web page & on my receipt.
User friendly website! Efficient communication and trustworthy. Such a great experience and quality people to offer service.
I am in the process of the worst experience with this company (Citizens Pet Shippers) to the point where I am feeling scammed. For a kitten transfer from CA to TX. Of which I was never communicated ANY costs (except for the shipping required with the owner) here is what I've had to endure. Again, NONE of which was communicated upfront. 1. $1520 crate rental, 2. AFTER the kitten was transported to CA to CO for layover, I was THEN told to pay another $1500 for insurance or else the kitten would be placed for abandonment, 3. The kitten makes it to TX on a flight that arrived at 7p (of which they booked) and told me drop off would occur, to then say it was past 7p and dropoffs dont happen after 7p so overnight would be necessary. 4. THEN to wake up to them requested $980 for vaccinations, 5. THEN to tell me since the kitten has been in their care for over 16hrs, now quarantine was necessary unless I paid $3200. This has been absolutely ridiculous and at this point, the kitten can go somewhere else and my money needs to be refunded.
Here's my experience with CitizenShipper. Jason "no show" Humphreys at Humpty's Homeward Haulin' was a "certified vetted driver" referred by Citizen Shipper. Jason failed to transport a 3 month old puppy as agreed upon. The only haulin' done was haulin' in my 50% deposit, which I'm currently trying to hash out a refund with Venmo since Jason replied "f##k you" to my refund request. I'd recommend avoiding this company like the plague if you have any expectations of a need to be filled and certainly paying no money up front, at least not until you KNOW the animal has been picked up. These are independent contractors and while I'm sure many of them are conscientious and reliable, there's no guarantee you'll get one of them. Also, when I contacted Citizen Shipper about the no show they pretty much told me it was all between me and the independent contractor, basically washing their hands of any responsibility or trying to line up a replacement driver for my no show. I was instructed to go back to their site and start over, which I was not about to do and begin a brand new nightmare. Oh, and when you're getting price quotes you should know that Citizen Shipper will tack on an additional $73.99 to your quoted price for a "service fee" AFTER you book instead of charging the driver a referral fee, which I assume they probably also do. As a result of this nightmare experience we were unable to transport a puppy & we had to abort the entire plan due to making the poor choice of using Citizen Shipper leading us to Jason "no show" Humphrey's at Humptys Homeward Haulin

My brother had a litter of puppies 12 hours away in Virginia. Had no idea how I was gonna get this dog. I found citizen shipper in a Google search and filled out my info and what I need to transport from Virginia to Massachusetts. I got tons of bids from dog transporters with detailed profiles and reviews. They picked my pup up Friday night and had it to me Saturday morning with pics and communication the entire way. No idea this would be so easy. Plus I got my dog shipped for what it would of cost me to drive there and back and I never left my house!
I contacted MTM shipper Through Citizen Shipper late Sunday night. I informed him I couldn't call the person to set up a time. He told me he could pick up the item the next day great. The Monday MTM contacted me and told me that he has waited all morning and now I would be charged. I explained I was waiting for the shipper as explained when I booked it he said thats not his problem and he would be charging me anyway. Bottom line is once you confirm want to use them they charge you and don't concern them self with picking up the item. CREDIT CARD CHARGE BACK!
I planned to use this service to transport a puppy. However, less than 24 hours after paying $150 to this service; I realized the puppy was a scam so had to cancel my card and deal with that. Then when I contacted them, they only offered a $150 credit and not any sort of refund! They provided absolutely no service and I cancelled within less than 24 hours. STAY AWAY!
When issues arise citizen shipper does nothing to help. There is no one to call, only email and they don't email back. I was called names by a driver who went 500mi off route unannounced for my VIP solo trip. RNR Pets & Stuff showed up 5hrs late at pick up and was going to feed my 2lb chihuahua once a day and citizen shipper doesn't care. Their drivers are not properly screened. There's no conflict resolution. They lost my business. RNR pets & stuff has life360 which Lists all their speeding violations and citizen shipper does not care. RNR pets & stuff's driver said he drove for citizenshipper which is also against CS policy. Save yourself the headache. It's all bogus. And citizen shipper only has M-F hours, so your screwed even further on the weekend if something goes wrong. Screenshots are clear proof that I can't possibly be the issue if Christina, the owner of RNR Pets&Stuff transport, is firing their daughter/employee over the issues. But Citizenshipper doesn't care that they led me to this horrible company that does not properly train their employees & put my 2lb chihuahua at risk. There are so many other better companies out there. I had to learned the hard way, you can learn through my mistakes. Save yourself the headache and hassle and terrible customer service from both companies.
It was a very difficult decision trying to go through all the different carriers. After reading many reviews I choose Bigs, his communication, pictures/videos alone with being able to watch his progress to get my pup from Michigan to California was awesome. When he arrived with his wife ( Jenny) who helped drive they were very caring and love what they are doing, they shared his journey in the car for 2 days and gave me some great feedback on his personality.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
They delete bad reviews even when their drivers damage your items and threaten to steal your money. This was the most stressful move I have ever done and citizenshipper didn't do a thing to help.
This company is quick, secure, responsive and guaranteed. I had multiple offers to transport my Dog safely across 1500 miles within minutes of signing up. Our experience was amazing our driver was patient and flexible. If you need something transported I would look no further.
As the positive post generated here and elsewhere by their drivers these people are dishonest, after issuing a quote and you agree they ask for a deposit in good faith and once you pay here comes the surprises in my case an extra $137 plus they originally stated $479 and then changed it to $650 and then almost $800 and after cancelling within 2 minutes as I saw that this was a scam they kept the deposit and I can prove all of it which I will continue. You been warned! Also look at last photo and notice how they tried to change the quote for a third time. Scam
White Glove could not have done a better job, they picked up on day promised, they called a few times each day to let me know their location and delivered my golfcart from Az to Kentucky in two days which is over seventeen hundred miles. Great job and supper great price, that is why I said "fantastic".
Good price and excellent service. Stays in constant contact with you during the shipping process regarding how your pup is doing and where they are at. Picked up our pup in Dayton Ohio Friday morning and was in Houston Texas Sunday morning. Puppy was in excellent condition. 5 STARS!
I thought I was never going to be able to see my fur-baby since I am located in Florida and my baby was in Pennsylvania. I thought flying was the only option until I came across Citizen shipper. They gave me so many options to chose from. The quotes just kept coming in and all by good pet transporting companies. Their site was so easy to use too. Now I have my fur baby home with me where she belongs.
I had a nightmare driver. Long story short, a Friday am pickup became a Saturday afternoon pickup with a drop off that should have been 7 hours later being 16 hours later. Much documentation by text of the strange behavior and about of touch with reality that became very evident as the delivery developed. I brought it all to the customer service team who stated "it was not her fault". And indicated there was nothing else to do with this driver that should not be driving.
This was the response after my detailed evidence that this driver was not all together with reality in what she was doing on this crazy two day adventure that should have lasted 7 hours:. Hi there! Thank you for your e-mail!
Thank you for being concerned, we also strive to make CitizenShipper.com a safe environment for everyone involved,
Although I cannot share specific information for the driver's privacy, there is a good reason for this to have happened, and we understand the situation and she was not at fault, thank you for bringing this up,
Please let me know if you need further assistance,
Seriously watch out if you choose to use this company. You could more easily just ask someone on the street corner to drive your precious pet somewhere. The risk is similar
What a wonderful world we live in, when we are unable to pick up our furry little ones, the others who care about them are able to make that happen. I have nothing but good things to say about this website. I have had a great experience from start to finish. All the transporters who reached out were so kind. I am a nurse whose workload has greatly increased, and was unable to take off to drive a 12h round trip. I recently lost my angora rabbit, and my home felt very empty. It was so wonderful that a caring transporter was able to bring me a new baby bunny. I am so thankful for everyone involved with this program.
Answer: Teresa, thank you for your question! As a shipping customer, besides the payment for the quote provided by the driver using our website, you are due a small booking fee which depends and fluctuates based on the bid. To learn more about how fees work, please visit out help center article -https://citizenshipper.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202363429-How-much-does-it-cost-to-use-CitizenShipper-
Answer: The driver directly you just pay the booking fee to the site when you accept the bid.
Answer: You should be able to google them and find reviews, meanwhile when you click on their business information it tells you if they are certified and verified that is all you really need and then there are reviews posted their along with their star rating and how many transports they have completed.
Answer: Hi Derri, if that company is listed on our site and has done deliveries, they may have reviews from previous customers.
Answer: Hi Elizabeth, we sure can transport birds. Just go to www.citizenshipper.com and list your posting with the location, the type of bird, and the dates you need to transport. You will then receive bids from drivers and can communicate with any of them until you find the one you want.
Answer: My booking fee was US$79 and did not get my US$25 rebate as promised in an email from CitizenShippers. Booking fee far to high
