Same issues with this company, someone signed and didn't read the contract. Really $300 monthly for rugs... Manager I've been dealing with could care less. I've tried to revise it so we don't pay a 15k penalty to get out of the contract. Wow, what poor service. Your customers should always be #1 as they pay your income! Will not advise to sign anything with them unless you read the fine print. Cannot trust these sales people...
This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Dishonesty, poor quality products, complete lack of customer service. One of my employees gashed his finger on metal grindings that were in the rags we got from Cintas. Took me several phone calls to Cintas to get anyone to follow up. And the service got worse from there. I am contacting my attorney.
Completely unreliable and their staff if never available to resolve issues. Completely unsatisfactory.
U can turn in five sets of uniforms in a given week, and expect two maybe four sets back but two sets is the average they suck! I think they should watch sesame street as a training video. Never seen such a disappointing return of uniforms.
Like many reviews listed, we are going through similar issues. We recently found out that we have a 5 year contract that a previous CEO signed and we now can't get out of it without paying a butt-load of money. And their prices just keep going up and up without any notice. Not to mention the confusing invoices and numerous times that we haven't received the products we're paying for. I will NEVER use these guys again. If I could give negative stars, I would.
My husband works for a company that gets their uniforms from Cintas. They had always been great until about a year ago. Around June 2019 he ordered six new pair of pants. When he brought them home I threw them in the washer. When they came out it was a MESS! Over four feet of thread where the cuffs had come unsewn and wrapped around everything in the washer. When I started looking, there was one paid that the cuffs had been pressed but not even sewn at ALL. The rest had been cut with pinking shears and just folded up and sewn. Any ten year old knows that when you hem, you ALWAYS fold the cut end over, the over AGAIN before you sew it! That way any ravels are never seen, but locked inside the cuff itself. I have had to take the last several pair of slacks to the cleaners to have the hems redone correctly. Pockets have ravels hanging out of them, belt loops are loose, and of course, the cuffs are totally unacceptable. A blind two year old could have done a better job of hemming. I WISH the company would get someone else for their uniforms! Complaining allows me to vent, but obviously does nothing to get the problems solved as evidenced by all the negative reviews. Anyone who gives a fig about their company would be working to FIX the problem!
Overall the service is pretty lackluster. Site reps will give you attitude if you bring up issues such uniforms being missing from deliveries. If uniforms are lost by Cintas, you get charged for the replacement. If you have multiple locations and have to deal with transfers, don't be surprised if employees and uniforms are not transferred properly, in most cases you will be double charged for deliveries and have to hound them to fix it. They are really fast to add service but slow to stop it. Hell when you tell them a new employee is coming on board they'll start charging you for uniforms asap eventhough the employee has no uniforms. It's a huge hassle and headache to deal with them especially if you are a big organization. You literally have to spend hours auditing every single invoice to look for erroneous charges. We have been telling our staff to wash uniforms at home because Cintas has lost so many people's uniforms after pick up. It takes months to get replacements. You will have to hound them to get updates or to follow up on orders that never arrived but you were charged for.
I have read every one of these reviews and they are all VERY ACCURATE! They deceitfully lock you into a contract without ever stating it is a 5 year contract. (Read small print - they surely will not inform you ahead of time) We have been charged many times for products not received or replaced. They also are charging us for replacing products during Covid-19 while we are not even open for business. Get your supplies at BJ's wholesale or similar. You can get your own logo mat for $150.00 somewhere else. They wont let you out of their shady contract no matter what. If you die, they will likely come after your next of kin. I encourage all to file complaints with the BBB if unsatisfied. (Which I assume is probably 50% of their current customers)
Basically the ONLY business mistake I made in helping my wife's café business start-up (& it was a business ethics ordeal).
Their business layout is simple.
They provide a service & you pay only for what you use... in theory.
What my wife & I paid for over 3 months was MORE than we did independently for the following 4 years.
WHY?
Because the sales agent had one report we were charged for & the truck driver had another we were charged for... FOR THE SAME SERVICE!
And to make matters WORSE, we were charged for items we didn't even use yet (contradicting their "pay only for what you use" claim) at their double rate.
Absurd.
The truck driver's excuse was it was "estimated usage" (another contradiction to their "pay only for what you use" claim).
After talking with the sales representative, he said we had to pay for what we already bought & hadn't used yet TO CLOSE OUR ACCOUNT.
Wait-WHUHHH?!
Come to find out, this company pays commission bonuses to truck drivers & sales reps for sales volume.
What a racket.
To quote my wife:
"We paid for nothing."
She's Buddhist. We gave them their business "cancellation cost" fees... as a fool's offering for crooked & dishonest people. Basically a "pity-pay" because it won't make them happy.
Every time we see one of their trucks, I point it out & say something sarcastic. We laugh. We've learned.
SUMMARY:
We DO NOT recommend!
I would give this crappy company no stars if that was an option.
I work for a company that at this time rents uniforms for our employees. First off it's stupid for a company to do a 5 year contract. They are also thieves on invoicing. Many times I complained to them that the driver Will Nabarrette (avoid this driver at all costs) is not scanning out uniforms that I have asked him to, nor would he put a stop on employee uniforms I told him to stop. We of course in the end have eaten this cost. Cintas has screwed us out of over $9,000 in credits owed, yeah I said $9,000. We have been told credits have been applied to the account. The question you ask your self in the accounting department is when did they apply my credit? Why was I not made aware of this credit? Why did they not ask how I would like this applied to my account or receive this in a check form? Why didn't they ask. Because, they want you to think they are giving a credit but, never do give a credit. Not only that if you put a stop on any of your employees uniforms and tell your driver and not relay this to the main office it will not get reported and you will eat the cost. STAY AWAY FROM CINTAS, they will steal your money and make it seem like it's your fault and they owe you nothing.
I am a customer of cintas and honestly can not believe they are still in business. Instead of restructuring and focusing on retention, you can clearly see this company focuses on bottom line to the extent beyond ethics. You have your drivers come out filling out our cabinets with over priced crap. On top of the obviously inflated prices ($15 for a small box of bandaid). They find every little thing that can cash in in. 3 disposable METAL tweezers? The thing is I can see it isnt because of your sales people. They are desperate to keep their jobs and make money but you gave them that culture. You encourage then to do these things. I get it, they want to keep their jobs but for a company as a whole to keep doing this, it isnt sustainable. You will have to continue to find new places because I can bet most smaller companies will not keep you around after their contract. This is probably the entire reason you have contracts to begin with. You guys should be ashamed. Everything on my invoice I can find for half the price elsewhere. If you are going to be charging double the retail price... why charge more for service fee? Especially when there is a contract.
If you involve with this company you will be ripped off, here are some problems:
Their quality of products are terrible customers complaint
They give you service when you are not in store
They give you cleaners by OZ, but they charge you 100 times more
They invoice you for products that they do not provide. Their contract and the way they do is just to defraud you it is a scam. They do not deserve even one Star!
These people here are a joke! They billed me triple of what i was actually quoted and when i told them im not going to pay Tony the manager for our business told me to write an email so he can show it to his boss. And so i did later on he kept teasing me about how i wrote a novel and how long its going to take him to read it. Its been about a month since the email and we havent gotten any service from them since then. I emailed him today again to see what was going on. Tony replys back and says your account has been sent to collections and that he doesnt have any more information for me! Wow its just so surprising to see what kind of people work here and how they deal with there customers! Please if you are deciding to go with them think again and find someone else. These people will scam the hell out of you. The person who i made the contract with Laura Parrish is no where to be found! She doesnt even answer her calls or texts! Thankfully i have everything from her in texts so i think my next step will be to take there asses to court!
Do not trust ANYONE from this company. I cannot understand how they are still doing business. For some reason they have been able to lock businesses into 5-year contracts and increase their prices in proportions unknown to any other business in the world. Last year I received a small note on an invoice stating their annual price adjustment would take effect on April 29th. Wow! The prices increased 50% (we had only been with them for 5 months) and magically they added more products weekly to our invoice without a request. They also have been billing us for products we have not received but they insist we have them! They are rude and the driver is pretty much out to lunch. Poor guy has no idea how to do his job. This company is unethical and has a teflon coating to protect them from honest businesses that have made the terrible mistake of signing up with them. STAY AWAY! Use any other provider.
Avoid this company at all costs if possible! Do not sign a contract, and if you do read every word as they make it impossible to terminate the contract and it automatically renews if you do not terminate a specific way during a very small window of time. VERY Unethical company and policies.
They have been billing our company for years for a mat that we have not had and claim because we have paid the incorrect invoices we are not due for a credit. This error was not noticed during numerous changeovers in managers at our location.
Additionally, they were billing us but not changing the mats weekly as required (we knew this and started monitoring because of rips and burns in the mats they brought, that would be there for weeks).
The buy out to terminate the contract is high and they KNOW it.
They get you in on a 5 year contract, which is difficult to cancel and it will automatically renew (without them telling you of course) for another 5 years. They make their money hoping managers don't catch this and are then locked into years of unwanted services. Also, they can increase pricing without notifying you and if you don't catch it within 10 days, you can't change it... big bully tactics.
TERRIBLE COMPANY... you don't want to work with them.
Please check this company and services out before you involve with them! It is a trap!
Cannot believe how they have been getting away with it. They charge for services that they do not provide!
Terrible experience that I have never ever seen any in business
Bad people, cheaters, charge services that never provide, horrible products, terrible people to deal with
Buy your own uniforms or use a company that cares more about the customer and less about the commission that they lose if your are not satisfied. I am so disgusted after being in a 5 year contract they are still telling me that I am in contract... Horrible business model
New business owner please don't get involved with this company, they are horrible, charging $75 dollars a week for 3 drops of soap and one roll of toilet paper. They will lock you in a 5 year contract, even that I asked the sales rep about long term contract he said there was not a long commitment and you can adjust how much you wanted to spend, a lie, but since I was so busy trying to open the store, I did not read the contract in full. Don"t go with them is a waist of money and you feel stupid paying all that money for almost nothing.
These guys are total scammers. Years ago when they bought out Respond, they would come in to service my first aid kit. They would replace and charge me for items that were obviously taken from other people's cabinets and about to expire. Then they would have to replace the "expired" items the following month.
Now, they bought out a small company that supplied me with shop rags. Their sales rep caught me on a busy day, and had me sign an "agreement" that he said I had to do to get my rags for the month. It wasn't filled out with any numbers at the time, so I thought nothing of it. Well, they filled it all in later. Not only are they charging me 3 times what I was paying, it ended up being a 5 year contract. Yeah, t's my fault for signing something, but it's their fault for being shady scam artists. BEWARE!
Answer: TRY ANYONE ELSE! You don't want to work with Cintas unless you want to be locked into 5 year contracts that renew automatically without notice. They increase costs without approval, don't provide services they bill for...
Answer: We have to remember that companies are operated by people and sometimes the people don't have the company's best interest at heart. There are some cities for all companies where there is great service and also, there are cities where bad service is the norm. The difference is the managers and whether they care or not. I suggest you find and uniform and linen managed services company such as, "Uniform Bright", who can help you with any needs you may have. There specialty is helping to prematurely and legally cancel a contract, negotiating a new one, taking you out to bid, historical bill analysis, managed services & an expert witness in the event of court or arbitration. They are not lawyers but they know how the industry works and can help you to navigate the pitfalls that are associated with deceptive practices and one-sided agreements. If dealing with a uniform and linen rental company has been a headache for you and you no longer want to deal with them, you should talk with your lawyer or hire an expert.
Answer: They do not offer an incentive for buying a lot of products. They do give an incentive when you sign on and when you renew.
Answer: Good Luck, they don't care about their customers, let alone non-customers. Avoid them whenever possible. Just consider yourself lucky you aren't stuck in a contract with them.
Business owners shouldn't be subject to poor quality & service while being locked in a contract. Getting a managed service & contract negotiation expert will put you in a better bargaining position.
