Ten day holds every time!
December 26, 2023

Cashiers check locally drawn on ten day hold? Won't call to verify lie and say the issuing bank didn't answer. Foreigners on customer service. Will never use this bank to deposit again. Made a ******* deposit not even 200 available until January 5. Called fifth third issuing check and they cleared it.

Just received my notice for my adjustable rate. Was expecting a slight reduction. Wrong. Exactly the same as last year. When I called Chase asking why, since all interest rates a lower this year, I was told mine is based on the LIBOR index.and it had not lowered. That was a lie. I checked the rates online and all LIBOR rates are lower than last year. All by at least 1 point. I will get out from under this loan as quickly as I can and never again do business with Chase. If you are going to screw me, kiss me first.

Attempting to make a deposit into my recently deceased mother's account so her auto pay bills would continue to be paid. They refused to allow me as I'm not on the account. Death certificate in hand and driver's license given to them and they inform me that they can't because they don't know who I am. Then they tell me that I could get a money order, from them for a fee, and deposit that. All of this coming from the branch manager who allowed me to make a deposit into that same account three weeks prior. Obviously they have no standard practices and will do anything to squeeze a few more bucks out of someone while stomping on your deceased relative.

Gone Down Hill 2023!
September 25, 2023

Chase used to be an excellent bank that you could rely on when unscrupulous companies scam you but not anymore! Went to them about Frontier's.01 Wild Pass agreement that never existed and all they said was you signed the agreement. I explained that the company didn't honor the agreement and submitted about 47 pages of evidence as they suggested to be told again I signed the agreement.
What a waste of time!

I sent money by using online real time transfer, however another account never received money.
I call Chase ask to investigation, they said they investigated it, everything is correct on their side, nothing they can do.
They don't even want to speak to destination bank.
So I asked them, [does that mean my money just gone.], they even say [Yes.].

If you care about your money, don't put there.

I've been to a chase for a very long time and wanted to continue to switch because of the problems however to change everything is always a pain. I'm done now they held a payroll check for over two weeks same check that gets normally direct deposited however our accountant was out of town and we received paper payroll checks because of this it was placed on hold. Nobody would help no one from the branch no one over the phone there is no budging. My payroll checks have never bounced and the payroll account has always been in good standing. Unbelievable

On 3/10/23, my retired husband deposited a large sum of money from his 401 account to savings at Chase. They said in 2 days we would be able to access the money. I checked our account and our savings has been closed and they are not giving us our money back. We have contacted them many times and when we do what they say it is never good enough. This has been so extremely stressful and we don't know who to turn to.

I was told today that chase would not take any responsibility if someone break into your online banking account and stole your money if the stolen fund is no longer on the thief account. Chase has zero responsibility and it is you to absorb the loss. The same applies for all chase checks. This is from the lady at chase bank check fraud department! I asked her what is the point of deposit money with chase bank when it is unsafe and she said it is best to keep it to yourself! She also told me the policy keeps on changing. I cannot imagine chase to have chosen such a person to represent chase bank. It is even worsening to have this lady in the claim department! I can imagine nothing will get resolve. Chase might be thinking they are too big to fall and care none of their customers. You will learn when people start moving money out! Better run away from chase or else absorb the losses. They might be the one doing the fraudulent activities themselves!

Rude clerks
March 26, 2023

My husband lost he's wallet, he had no identification what so ever. Clerk and supervisor at chase bank on Clifford were unwilling to help. Rude and disrespectful. Didn't care that he had a picture of he's driver's license on he's phone. No money for seven days! Getting our money out ASAP! Staying away from this bank!

If I would have known a 10 day hold would have been put on my check for 2900 I would have waited to go into the bank or cashed it somewhere else.
The check was from Tesla, Chase has been receiving my direct deposit for the past 2 years. The most $#*!ed up part about this the customer service agent told me to tell my daughter happy birthday. Like a 5 year old will understand why her father didn't bring her what I said I would because a bank flagged my bonus check from Tesla

Worst Bank Ever!
September 13, 2018

By far the worst bank ever. Worst customer service. They keep their clients waiting just to give them incorrect information. Wait time is ridiculous and no one really knows what's going on. I had a roth Ira with them which I wanted transferred to another bank. They transferred it as a Traditional IRA. Now I have to deal with tax payment on an Ira that I had already paid tax on. And there's no way of fixing it says Ahmad at the Venice location chase. Truly incompetent!

I've been banking with Chase since I was in high school. Back then it was fine, I could deposit my measly checks and use my debit card for easy transactions and online purchases. I've now been banking with chase for a good 10 or so years, and am constantly going back and forth between moving my funds elsewhere. Chase has a problem with depositing checks. Sometimes they'll give you partial funds for immediate use, other times you don't get anything and wind up waiting for days. I've often had to call and ask what's going on with my money, getting passed from different departments and spending nearly an hour before I can speak to someone who can tell me what's happening. This is frustrating when bills need to be paid, and you depend on the money you're trying to deposit. For a year I left Chase to bank with Chime and loved it. I wound up going back to chase because of the presence of physical banks making things "easier". One day I'll switch banks for good!

Placing Us In Danger
April 19, 2016

Chase Bank has not only outsourced much of it's customer service to the Philippines but now when you call to handle your banking business over the phone, you are asked after you put in your account number to put in the last four digits of your social security number... OMG, over these smart phones we are being exposed to more danger of identity theft. Wonder what huge mind decided that was a good idea at Chase?

Chase customer service is the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Try getting a phone number for support in the first place. A joke. If and when you do find a way to call them be prepared for the most agonizing robot driven "what can we do for you today" screen that will make you crazy. Once you get thru that and speak to a human it gets more terrible. Then experience getting passed on to three other people who can't help you either and with each one having to verify yourself time after time after time. I honestly think that is there way to make you go away. It did with me and I thought maybe a local branch could help me but wrong on that. I went to one and then another with just more frustration. I will never ever ever use Chase for anything. If I try to buy a new car and they say the loan must go thru Chase then I'll shop for a different car. I'm done with their garbage.

I have been locked out of my account for over two weeks, all they do is say they are sorry and tell me a bunch of lies, telling me it's fixed now, we will call back, go back to the branch, call the 1 800 number with out a resolution, never again.

No Explanation
July 5, 2023

Being a customer of Chase for many many years, with checking, savings, investment accounts and credit cards, I have never had a complaint, and would generally give 5 stars.
Today, out of the blue, I received 2 letters stating that my checking account, and a credit card account are being closed for unexpected activity. There is no unexpected, unauthorized or unusual activity on these accounts, I called for a explanation, got transferred to 4 different department with the same explanation: "We can't provide you with a explanation". BS

Holds on Deposits
November 13, 2021

When check deposits are made via ATM or through the app, my earnings are held sometimes up to 7 days. The same company check for the past 3 years. It is unfair to me and my family. Not to mention the fact that Chase doesn't help their customers with bettering their lives. After researching Chase and many other banks I've decided that they aren't here to help the people just themselves.

So from nowhere, Chase decided to end 18 years of relationship with them and close my personal checking account and all my personal and business credit cards with them (9 in total). All this is just weird and here are some reasons:
1- they closed everything except my 10-year business checking account.
2- they approved me for Hyatt Business at the beginning of the year. I just finished the normal and extra spending on it. How? Legit business expenses.
3- never miss any payment and pay everything fully.
So of course no reason in the letter, from a banker on the branch, or a supervisor on the phone. I was trying to think about the reason behind that and the only thing that comes to my mind is getting a lot and large zelle transactions to my business account. Those are actual business transactions. But they didn't close the business account ‍
I just want to share this with you guys and let you know. It seems to be a lot of people were targeted by Chase and they are closing a lot of accounts from what I just searched lately.

Poor switching service. None of my direct debits got switched over, I had to do them all myself.
Alex called me and apologised gave me £30 for my inconvenience. He explained what the problem was with the switch and said its been rectified and asked if there was anything he could do further.
I explained that I still had one outstanding DD to complete with DVLA for my monthly van tax. "Leave it with me" he said "it's the least we can do"... so I left it for him to do... 3 week later (today) got a letter through the post telling me my van has no road tax! I still had faith in Alex and chase bank that there's a delay in the system so I phoned DVLA and guess what... I have no DD set up on the system...
The only thing this bank has for me is a better interest rate than my other bank...
Poor service... incompetent staff... incompetent switching service and I fear for my money... as soon as I find another bank paying the same interest rates am moving again...
