Placed a rush order for laptops, I am 15 minutes from the Vernon Hills, IL warehouse, they would not let me pick up the order, paid almost $200 to have it couriered a few miles and the order never showed up. No followup, called was on the phone for almost three hours with three different people no one had any answers. In purchasing for 30 years and I thought I would give them a try again, my overall experience was worse than ever!
Call numerous times to sales about purchasing computers for our company, no one picked up.

We took our business elsewhere.
I absolutely hate dealing with this company. They will sell you something on rush even if out of stock and hope you dont notice that its continually delayed shipping. And good luck getting money back. Been now 10 months waiting on an RMA where they had no clue on how to sell licensing for meraki. Every week told that the refund coming and never does.

Wonderful product and service. 3 days later, the CEO called me to make sure I was happy with the service and order. She said she makes calls randomly to ensure that all customers are happy. As a response to that, I bought another item and again, great service!
The absolute worst service ever and I'm actually shocked that a company like this can still remain in business. As many have mentioned before, they do sell items that are on backorder as if they're in stock. Backorders are typically fine but they're charging 20% more than retail, and usually a store will let you know if its on backorder, these clowns do not let you know.
Beyond that, I have emailed them and they haven't responded in over a week.
Avoid these guys, they're borderline scammers.
We have tried twice to order ink cartridges from this company. The first order was canceled with no explanation. The second time we tried to order we received a phone call stating that we needed to prove the shipping address was under our company name. It is but they were requesting some sort of proof.The cartridge had already been charged to our credit card but they would not mail to our office. Never in my life have I ordered something and not been able to have it delivered where I want it delivered to. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Save yourself the hassle and order from another company.
I call CDW sales to inquire about if they sale Norton Antivirus licenses and the salesman I talk too was very rude and totally unprofessional. The salesman name was Frank and it felt like he just not interested in the sale and unfriendly. He made me stop and end the call.
Made an order of 2 programs for my server. On the next day decided to order one more program.
CDW. Com called me and asked me unacceptable questions, where do i live who is my landlord and why I made third order separately from other two. Like I understood it is an online store and I can order anything I want and when I want. They replied that credit manager will decide and follow up. Follow up on what. Did I applied for mortgage or credit from this people. Also this company is third party between real selling companies. At this time it was Semantic products that I purchased. Crazy company bad customer support and completely unacceptable policy. Canceled order and purchased directly from Semantic. Do not buy from them let them go bankrupt. With business they do that is no point to buy from third party.

I ordered a gaming laptop about a month ago, after paying for 2 day delievery they emailed me way after to notify me that the product I ordered was back ordered, so after waiting a month or so I decided to cancel my order. I waited two weeks for my payment to go back on my account and it never did so I called the customer service line. They told me they don't take the money out of my account until my item ships? What? They took the money out immediately after I made the purchase! Now the initial payment isn't even showing on my account and nobody will help me. So this website just stole $240 dollars from me!
I ordered a Cisco RV340 Router on 9-9-2019 from CDW and was told it was back-ordered and I would have to wait a month, so I cancelled the order, they shipped it three days after I was told it would take a month and the thought the order cancelled. They then told me to refuse the delivery, where the delivery company leaves it at the door. What? So now I have been trying to send it back for over a month and they said now have to wait another 3-5 day to get return shipping labels.
I purchased a WordPerfect suite from CDW. I got a confirmation e-mail regarding the purchase, and also received an email that purported to be from Corel, WordPerfect's manufacturer. That email had an attachment, which I assumed was the link to the program download. It wasn't.
When I complained that I hadn't received my purchase, I was told that the problem must be on the Corel end.
The Corel agent I spoke to had no idea what CDW was, didn't recognize the Corel "order number" in the email, and couldn't help me with the problem.
In short, STEER CLEAR OF CDW.

I ordered an item on a Sunday but decided I didn't need it so called on Monday to cancel the order. The CS rep told me that, since the order hadn't shipped, he would cancel it. On Thursday, it arrived anyway and my credit card was charged.
"Not to worry", I thought, there is a 30 day return policy, so I called to get an RMA. The CS rep said I would receive an RMA and label by email. I didn't. I called again with the same result.
I lost track of how many calls I made - 5 or 6 - all with no RMA.
In the end, I gave up and sold the item on kijiji.
Order a product online for my home office during lockdown. Paid for 2-3 day shipping... it has been 2 months and now they are telling me expected delivery is still in another month. Requested a manager to call me. Still waiting. This is not a way to treat a paying customer. If it wasn't in stock, give me an accurate timeline of when I could expect the product. No apologies given either. Horrible customer serivce.
I have made 2 purchases with CDW over the years and both times it has been a nightmare. It takes weeks, I repeat, weeks, to get your order.
The problem is that every web order must be approved by an account manager. If a account manager doesn't get to your order, it will just sit there for weeks in a holding queue.
No emails or no type of notifications are sent to you. I purchase a printer from them for business needs. I'm in a time crunch. Order placed on nov 2nd, it's now the 15th and the order still hasn't shipped yet. Call them. The reason why they are holding? They don't ship to a UPS box.
Ridiculous. I will never purchase from CDW for the rest of my life. I will tell all my friends and business aquaintances to avoid this company as if their life depended on it.
Back in July, we also purchased MacBooks, keyboards, docking stations, etc for work. It took 1 month for the MacBooks to arrive. The docking stations arrived in October.
I asked to cancel a order, they decided to process the order. After making sure to cancel again they won't release the funds to my bank so I have to wait way longer than I should for my money to come back to me for a mistake cdw made. They obviously don't care because they aren't receiving the money anymore, I will never use cdw again! Untrustable.
I've order a lot of TV's for our Company over the years from this site. They apparently do not care if you receive broken equipment. I was told an RMA would be sent to me and it never came. I reached back out to Support and they did respond to my email (two emails). Today I ordered 4 more TV's that were suppose to be delivered yesterday and I am being told they have not shipped yet because they need to give me a freight quote...? I paid over $200 for shipping AND nothing was mentioned about a Freight Quote. Sadly I had to call them to find all of this out and they gave me an email address of someone to reach out to for a freight quote. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Try Newegg, Tiger Direct or even Amazon.
I ordered a laptop. My bank denied the charge due to it looking fraudulent. I immediately authorized the charge. No one at CDW notified me that the card had been declined. I was expecting the delivery today. I logged on to CDW only to find that nothing had shipped. I called customer (lack of) service they indicated that the card had been declined but had no explanation as to why no one contacted me nor reran the card. The rep reran the card and said it had been denied again. I contacted the bank and they said the charge had been approved. (what is going on!) The rep now said he saw it was approved but offered no improved shipping method to offset their lack of communication. I decided to check the order status and now see the item is back ordered. Not sure why the rep couldn't tell me that. I called again to cancel the order. I checked my bank account and they have now charged me for the item twice! WTF people!
CDW is a terrible company and provides no added value in the modern age of technology purchasing. Before the big market places existed for tech hardware - Amazon, Newegg, etc. CDW added value as a one-stop shop for purchasing. But they're no longer relevant and the only thing they do is charge more and add headache. I know they've entered the service market and I have less experience with that side of their business, but the limited experience I have had, has also been bad.
I've worked for three organizations where CDW had a presence from before I arrived. They get their tentacles in with vendor agreements and contracts that make it difficult to break away from them. I won't get in to the details of the multitude of negative experiences I've had with them, but it's been pretty much every time I've dealt with them. Ohh and customer service is awful.
CDW exists today because of inertia. That and there are still some old-timers in the industry stuck in their ways. They provide no value added.
I ordered an iPad that was supposed to ship a week later. On the expected delivery day they send me an email saying that it is backordered and have to wait 2 months. Worst customer service ever!
Answer: Scam company, they will collect your data. Then after some time claim that the product is discontinued.
Answer: It is a fortune 500 company. This is why I chose to buy from them. The company I worked for also buy from them. But they are pretty bad in customer service
