The absolute worst service ever, I spent 1500 on a rim packcage and after 1 week I get an email from Justin (A Rep) that the fitment of the rims will be too aggressive in the front. (After there website promises it will only show rims that is a shore fit for your vehicle) I respond asking if spacers will help to reduce the issue. After 2 weeks of no response I call to resolve the issue and im told by another rep that justin doesnt like to communicate by phone only email. After another week I call again because i still recieved no response and chris (another rep) who was slightly rude tells me the rims are sold out and will be another 8 weeks until they can get them in to ship. He tried really hard to mitigate the damages by emailing me and following up with alternatives a week later. Than he tells me the original rims i ordered will fit FOR SURE AND WILL NOT NEED MODIFICATIONS (His Exact Words). The alternatives he sent me where all ugly or out my price range. Than he responds to my email I sent of desperately telling him im willing to wait for my original order. He than responds saying that the front doesnt fit and I will need to choose different rims. Im so frustrated and disappointed with the way my order has been handled. Its been almost 2 months since i ordered these rims and have yet to recieve anything besides a run around and a headace. Now that I cancelled my order, I hope not to have the same issues I have read on the refund of my money. Worst customer service ever and im definitely going to BBB If I dont recieve my refund in a week.

I made an earlier review, but this got worth by the day. This regarding purchase order#******* for a full set of wheels and tires with full balance and road force (that alone was a bloody joke, I will get back to this later).

I have dealt with like 7 different "Service agents" who all they want is a 5 Star review and get you off the phone.

Here we have Damon Larson, Serge Vitsky and Jorge (*******@carid.com) who all they do is give you the run-around even after having a third party Tire and Wheels specialist shop Certify that 2 of the wheels are "not-true". Certified with company letterhead (See attached in the photo section, I edited out my address and contact info of cause), the manager of this store even took the time and got with me on the phone to speak to this Serge person who was nowhere to be found, and we had to deal with Jorge. Now for 2 weeks each time the shop I have the wheels and tires stored as they are un-driveable and dangerous to say the least, and nobody from CarID ever called me back, neither did they call the Manager of the store that certified the issue back, I have send docent of emails and all I get back "We need more details". What details do you need other then the WHEEL WITHOUT A TIRE MOUNTED needs X-Amount of balance... Balance / Weight, showing clearly that the wheel(s) are out of shape.

I have ask 2 weeks ago for a full refund and now I have to go to a lawyer and see what I can get back (I guess nothing, and they know that).

The initial wheels where supposed to be balanced and road-forced, yeah right, big nice website, but all they do is broker and do as the middle man, they do not own the product nor do they stock the product. Then the mounting and balancing and even the shipping is done by contractors as it seems.

CarID stole $1390. 59 and docent of hours at the Shop to get this figured out. Now that we know what is wrong CarID refuses to refund me my money.

Please stay away from this shady and thieves from CarID

CarID if you read this, I want my money back and you can have your garbage merchandise back.

So an Item that typically sells in pairs is listed at $90. So you think that's for the pair. No - it's EACH. But no one ever needs one, everybody orders two, so it's $180 - so you click on it for twice what you expected to spend. That's when you see that the item(s) pictured don't necessarily fit your car. So they ask you to enter your car. You do. Well, the $90 each item, the $180 pair, does NOT fit your car - but THIS ONE does - and it's only $190. So just as you think it's only $10 more - you find out that that this price is "EACH" also, making the pair $380. BUT that's not all there's a $50 "CORE CHARGE" - meaning you have to send the original item you're replacing to them within 30 days or they keep the $50 core charge. So you figure the pair at $380 + the $50 core charge is $430. But you'd be wrong again. That's a $50 core charge for EACH, so it's $480 plus tax and shipping so it's over $500 for the item you thought you were buying for $90. So you'd have to sell your $500 car so you could afford the $500 parts. But then you wouldn't need them because you'd have no car. And you'd have no need to do business with such a deceptive outfit. I DID read the fine print and did NOT order the part from CarID. I went to an honest company and got the product at a fraction of the price. CarID says they were not deceptive because though the "Item" was advertised at "$90" in the listing (In BIG BOLD print) after you go through page after page of fine print and subsequent revelations reflecting the utter FICTION of the $90 BANNER HEADLINE, you have wasted 20 minutes of your time to discover their gross misrepresentations. Unscrupulous, deceptive, thuggish customer service and the vast majority of reviews condemn this shady and barely legal business.

The photo on the web site for the truck mat showed the Ford emblem so I ordered it in dark grey. I even had to enter the info about my Ford truck to get through the ordering process to identify I was ordering for a Ford truck. I asked if I could change the delivery from UPS to USPS and they agreed so I completed the order. The email confirmation I received stated delivery by UPS so I wrote back and Michelle replied it would come by USPS. I later received confirmation of pickup for delivery by UPS so I wrote back again asking for delivery by USPS instead of UPS and Michelle again replied it would be delivered by USPS and to not worry about the UPS designation on the delivery confirmation. I don't want UPS because all of their deliveries to Canada include an additional charge for import fees. I received the plain item with no Ford emblem shortly thereafter, in light grey instead of dark grey, but by UPS and at an additional cost of $21 above and beyond the original product and shipping costs. I then asked CARiD to pay for the return and replacement and they replied that they don't carry the floor mats with the Ford emblem. Yet that's what they show on their web site AND on my order form. And they naturally refused to step up to the plate and instead offered a 15% discount on anything else I'd like to order from them. Which would cost me that much for for an item I did not want, did not order, but received anyway. From the comments I see online I should obviously have checked here first. What a terrible business to order from! They give online shopping a bad name. But I guess they keep getting enough orders to stay in business. Now, that's a shame.

Spend a Little More - Buy Elsewhere

Preface - I gladly write positive reviews when warranted. In this case... not so much.

I have purchased two items from CARiD on two separate occasions. Both times, I had to contact Customer Support due to issues. The most recent (4 Mayhem 8015 wheels) involved a manufacturers defect on one wheel. Three weeks after submitting the warranty claim, I had still not heard back from CARiD. After the rep repeatedly gave me the 'company line' that they are waiting on the manufacturer to get back to them, I did not hang the rep until he called the manufacturer. BTW, I called the manufacturer myself to follow up and they confirmed that the rep called. However, they also confirmed that they did not have a prior claim.

Part two of this purchase fiasco involves the Installation Kit (lug nuts). Although CARiD had the Make, Model and Year, along with VIN to confirm sizes, they sent the wrong lug nuts with the wheels. Several emails and photos to show that each attempt was wrong, they still haven't gotten it right (see photo). The sales rep also failed to mention that I would need Hub Centric Rings for installation. I don't mind buying these on my own, but a little heads up would have been nice.

Since I'm here, I will comment on my first purchase - Westin Running Boards/Tubes. Once again, CARiD requires a VIN to make sure the customer orders the correct parts. What they won't tell you is that the part(s) may not fit exactly right. Case in point - After laying out all of the parts (brackets, bolts, tubes, etc) and watching an installation video, I proceeded to get the brackets on with ease. However, when I went to put the Driver side tube one, the holes on the tubes did not line up with the brackets. For kicks and grins I swapped the tubes and they did match up. The problem is, the running boards look awkward. In contacting the CARiD Support team, their first line of defense is user installation error. After sending them photos, they contacted the manufacturer who said it was user error or the tubes had to swapped (which is what I did - see photo). This little nugget of info would have been very helpful in my decision making process. CARiD did offer me $100 credit back on my card or I could return the parts. I took the credit because I didn't want to deal with taking everything off.

Sorry for the long review. Going forward, I will not be buying from CARiD again. I will pay a little more and get parts locally or from another online vendor.

I'm just reading all these reviews of CARId and wish I had read them before I bought a little "radiator cap" from them. Everyone here is out tons of money on tires, rims, etc. Well, they can't be trusted for itty bitty orders. I ordered a radiator cap and it was $18.04. Within a few hours of ordering (on a Saturday when they aren't shipping), I had to cancel it. I needed to get the radiator cap ASAP locally at O'Reilly's auto parts. They had sent an e-mail saying it was being cancelled and so sorry you need to cancel it. They had the nerve to send me an e-mail asking to do feedback on the lady that sent the e-mail saying it was cancelled and a refund would take 3-5 days.

On Monday, I get an e-mail from UPS saying this item is being delivered on Weds! I called them up on Tuesday to find out WTH is going on. The CSR says the e-mail I received on Saturday is a "return request confirmation" and NOT an actual return. She said if I was to return it once it comes that the actual part price is not $15.99 as it was when ordered. It's something like $7.60 and the shipping is $10.44! Then, there is a restocking fee of $3.50. Did I STILL want a refund or did I want to keep it?

Do we have much choice? It's cheaper for me to keep it and toss it in the garbage or maybe I can sell it on E-Bay. What a SCAM business. Oh, if I keep it... I can get a $10 gift certificate that doesn't expire... so I can order something else and be scammed again!

I'm so sorry for those customers who have lost hundreds of dollars... compared to my piddley $18,04. IDK WHY this business is still allowed to do business. I've not seen one good review about them and apparently if there is a good review... they paid the person to do it. SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMERS!

UPDATE: Within on hour of writing this, CARid sent me a refund through PayPal. It said it will take 3-5 days to show up... we'll see if it really does.

I purchased a set of brake pads and rotors on July 17th. THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD GET A TRACKING NUMBER AND IT WOULD BE READY TO SHIP OUT BY JULY 31st! I used to always look at carid whenever I had an idea of a car I wanted to upgrade. For years! Never had the opportunity to really customize a vehicle more in part i didnt have the right vehicle to suit up. Until this year i purchased my first project car and naturally I went straight to carid for exterior and tires and rims. I get order the tires and rims and wait a month for them to get in that's fine covid i expected delays. I had put them in my garage for safe keeping know when it was time to open them the car was completed. Excited I was just a few days ago to finally finish the process of my car. I unwrap the packaging and that's where my excitement ended. I was shocked the rims and tires were dented scuffed scratched. I couldn't believe it. They neglect of care they had in packaging them ID mind blowing. Common sense would tell you to wrap the rims and protect them mostly for shipping. Not wrap them up tightly rim to rim causing the damage. I would call customer service and wait 40mins to and hour just to speak to a representative just for them to not have any full answers. I'm currently now in the process of getting my full refund. It took 15 mins for them to take my money. But I have to wait 24-72 hours for the claim to go through wait another 2-4 business days for ups to come get them oh and they can provide a true date or time when they would be able to pick up the damaged products. So I basically just have to be in the area. Or have someone home if I'm not working. Get this the man said that I could just leave it on the front porch with a note. PURE COMEDY I live in a well neighborhood but no way in hell would I leave that to chance. Then I got to wait another 10 days for a refund to be sent. I have never seen such inability to have a better system in place for this. I should have read the reviews from ordering and best believe I will from any place now. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I basically have to call everyday just to get some information. I'll buy local for anything like this as well. I just tried to get a piece of that feeling I had being young and wanting to get something from this place. What a way to leave a sour taste in someone's mouth.

Purchased a full set of MGP *******SMGPDF - Custom Colors Caliper Covers with MGP Engraving from CARid. The first time they sent the wrong one, on the second time they I tried installing these but then the wheel was hitting the caliper, I went to the website where I submitted the issue I was having on July 13th, I had to call customer service on July 20th due to not getting any responses from CARid. I was able to speak with Cataña who initial was very helpful then she started acting rude. I told the customer service representative that on the description there's nothing that said about aftermarket wheels, this is what the description said 18 or larger here is the description "Toyota 4Runner 2011, Full Set (4) Custom Colors Caliper Covers with MGP Engraving (*******SMGPDF) by MGP®. Fits Models with 18" wheels diameter and larger". The customer service associate told me that because of being aftermarket wheels they were not going to take them back. That they need to be original equipment (wheels), I mentioned again that there was nothing that said that on your post. So now I'm stuck with calipers that don't fit and i cant return them. I did inform customers service associate Cataña that I was going to write a review on how customers are treated and she did not care.

This company is a SCAM

If I could rate this company a "0", I would, but 1 star is the lowest I could go.

I ordered a carbon fiber hood from CarID -- BIGGEST mistake I have ever made. On their main page, and every product page they tout "quick and easy" returns, and a 30 day return policy, however, trying to return a product is a NIGHTMARE.

This company is a SCAM.

The hood I received was packaged exceptionally well, and the package undamaged. When opened, the hood appeared to in used condition, and clearly had been mounted on a car. It was severely scratched, the edges were chipped/knicked up, and the vents/screens in the hood were damaged. In addition to that, the are material defects in the hood itself including waves in the carbon fiber, and SEVERE fitment issues -- for example, the hood is tight on the back corners, but there is a 3/4" gap in the middle where you can see right down to the engine. Up by the front, it sits 1/2" higher than the fenders, but can't go any lower because it is already hitting the headlights.

I filed the return claim 5 business days after I received the hood. I have spent over 5 hours on the phone, in chat, and in emails with 6 different people, all in a call center in India, or overseas somewhere -- and none of them understand cars, so they can't comprehend why the issues I have are issues. 4 of the 6 people have given me 4 different responses as to why they are denying the return. The first person asked me to email pics, which I sent almost 20. The second person said they were accepting the return, and asked me to call the 800 number to coordinate -- and then it went down hill... I have received 2 responses with return policy rules that differ drastically from what is listed on their website, 1 person told me the manufacturer denied the claim, however, I talked to the manufacturer, and it seems they never talked to CarID. One supervisor YELLED at me for 5 minutes, implying I was an $#*! for wasting her time with a claim for a defective $700 hood. When I told her it would cost over $1000 for a body shop to fix SOME of the issues, she told me "that is what I should do".

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

This is by far the poorest company that I have ever dealt with they have more excuses and they have a chain of command for the runaround for consumers
I spent over $3000 on a set of tires and wheels they are a guaranteed fit I receive them and the two back wheels do not fit
First they tried telling me it's the car then after I sent videos and pictures it's the famous excuse oh we have to get a hold of management
I explain to them the wheels are hitting the car by a half an inch and management says if I change the tires one size down there pretty sure it will clear
Then they tell me unfortunately the tires you ordered are not available in that size you will have to send the tires back and we will issue you a new set
At first he wanted me to pay for shipping then I argued with him to tell me why finally they said they would pay for shipping and they would allow me a small credit to have the tires remounted
I have done all of that like a fool without returning the tires having their size installed the tire company laughed at me they said changing the tire one size is not going to make you increase a half an inch clearance
Now I am at the point after almost a month numerous hours on the phone I either do not get a response by email or if someone picks up the phone I get there we have to contact management and unfortunately they're out of the office already
It doesn't matter what time of the day I call so I believe there's no management
Just beware car ID does not stand behind their products in anyway
No I need to spend another $1300 to replace the two back wheels
If you are considering purchasing anything from them all I can say is buyer beware
