CARID Carpet did not come close to fitting 1961 falcon. CARID sent the wrong item, though labeled 1961 Falcon. Had to cut it up considerably to get it sloppily installed. Still way off. Piping on one edge only. Carpet came in two pieces. Why? Item was of quality construction but, still DID NOT FIT! Mislabeled?

Requested refund or proper fit replacement. CARID did not care.

I bought a product on CARID.com on 09/20/2020 and decided to immediately cancel my order the same day. Finally, after exactly one month after I had received my refund but not through CarID's system.

CarID website gives you an option to cancel and refund your money back but. You see, CarID never intened on refunding my money back, that was never their intentions in the first place despite saying they would.

After sending multiple emails to them asking for updates about my refund they would always respond with the "sorry for the delay" excuse and would tell me its going to take an additional 3-5 business days. I've canceled items before in the past on different websites and would get refunded within a couple of days but with CarID. Holy fk. I mean isn't just weird how all of their customer service reps always have two first names?

Luckily I had made my payment through PayPal which is how I was able to get my refund. I opened a dispute against them through PayPals resolution center. All you need to do is provide some details and evidence proving they said they would refund you. Now CarID would need to respond to PayPals email in regards of the dispute before a deadline. If they do not respond then PayPal refunds me my money back.

Don't you see how crazy it is that they are able to respond to your emails just to give you excuses and headaches but when PayPal sends their email to them about the dispute they are left speechless, not a single excuse on why they are withholding my money.

For those who paid using a different method other than PayPal I'm not sure what to do but I would advise you to contact your bank/credit card company to handle this because CarID is not going to resolve it themselves.

For newcomers stay away from this site. Good luck to those who are still fighting a battle with CarID

I bought a winch and bumpers spending over $5000 and they sent me the wrong winch. I thought no problem it's there fault they would fix the problem man I've been givin the run around for 2 wks now they made me pay the correct winch another $1600 and told me I would b credited for the winch once they receive it well they keep telling me they have an investigation going on to find out who is at fault. I was fine with that being that this is what was recommended to me to fit my truck. Today I was fed up and called to let them kno that I would pay the cost of shipping cause now I'm feeling as this is feeling very sketchy... the lady I spoke to said I would receive an email and hung up on me... now I'm like, wow so I called fab fours and made a complaint against them. Save your money and a headache

They do not stand behind there shipment terms at all, Originally my order was supposed to shipped to me on 10/3. After waiting a week I get a email that the estimated ship date for (2) items is a week later 10/9 and (1) item 10/5. Which I needed these items in a timely manner. When I called customer service they couldn't provide me with a update on reasons why later that day I received a email that the (2) small items have shipped but the one that was supposed to ship 10/5 information was unavailable. As of 10/8 the item that was supposed to ship still hasn't shipped and I ended up just canceling the order. Now I have to was 3-5 business days for a cancellation request then maybe I can receive my money back. Customer service was no help and I left the manger a voicemail to call me which I never received.

I placed an order and at checkout it showed 0 for shipping i fiinished placing the order and all of a sudden it was a $10 charge for shipping after the order was placed which was more than the product that I was purchasing. I went on their website and there's no place to cancel the order keep in mind this is all within 10 minutes of placing the order I was told they would cancel the order but it was already scheduled to be shipped the following day and said the cancellation process takes three days. They try to bribe you with a gift card at first to keep the order but if this is the way they want to do business I wish them well. Shame on me once shame on you twice. I'm not saying don't do business with them just be very careful

I ordered a pair of complete strut assemblies for my Hyundai Sonata. Their website made it appear that they would fit based on the models that they described. I knew I had to pay for extra shipping as I live in Canada, but what I didn't realize was that they would charge me Customs/Duty fees on top of that ($60 dollars CDN). There was No mention of that. They also told me that my parcel would take 3-5 business days, but it actually took almost 14 days as they had screwed up the paperwork on their end. When my strut assemblies did arrive, they did not fit. With a little research on my end, I realized that some models (which unfortunately included my car) could have an upgraded sport suspension for lower end trim levels, and this could have been detected by a "C" in the 8th digit in the VIN number. Had they mentioned this (like other Part sites do) on their web page I would not have encountered this issue. It took them a few days to respond back to me and they did not have the correct parts to fix my issue. After paying for the return shipment fees I will have paid for the parts and will have nothing to show for it. In hindsight I should've just keep the parts and sold them on ebay. So to make a long story short, not a properly labeled/friendly site with the correct information, extremely expensive shipping and unmentioned Duty/brokerage fees, and in the end they didn't have the correct parts to fix my issue.

Since I posted my initial rating, a CARiD representative reached out to me to help resolve my issue and did so in a professional matter. I do hope that they add "how to distinguish the sport model suspension from the non-sport model" on their website. Canadian shipping fees are still expensive, but that has nothing to do with the company.

SCAMMERS

Lets start at the beginning. I ordered 1 bed mat on CARID. They billed me for 2. I immediately cancelled order on line. They still sent me both. They also still took the money for both. Then I had to arrange return for 1 of the bed mats. CARid sent me a return authorization. They also sent me a BLANK (empty) PDF file with what was supposed to be a UPS return label for free return shipping. They did this 4 times. Finally a UPS label was in the file. I then used that label to ship it back to the manufacture as per CARiD's arrangements and instructions. I wait. I wait 4 weeks until I see the package is delivered to its destination via ups tracking. I then wait for my refund. And wait. And wait. Finally after 2 more weeks I call CARiD and they say they will inquire with the manufacture as to why I haven't received my refund. About 3 days later I get an email from CARiD stating that I would be unable to get a refund because I emphasize "I" as in me, myself sent the bed mats to the wrong location with a wrong UPS tracking label. Which by the way as stated above was sent to me by CARiD. Now they claim no responsibility and are denying me further action. No refund they keep my money. Slick. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD $#*! YOU CARiD! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS POS PLACE ITS A SCUMBAG RUN JERSEY $#*!BOX. Ps: If you dip$#*!s at CARiD read this and decide to send me a manufactured apology for $#*!ty service and stealing my money save it, it means nothing to me unless it is accompanied by a full refund and a complete admission / acceptance that your customer service is the $#*!s. Ordered HSE wheels on July 10th, informed me it would be 2-3 weeks for wheels and tires for Porsche 911 C4S. No problem. $7200 paid then but never heard to any follow-up, updates (all initiated by me). Not COVID problem. Then, no center caps nearly three months later, see pics below. No paperwork, warranty, care instructions, tires half-filled with air, a mess. Called numerous times, hours on hold just to talk to someone, then forwarded to another, more hours on hold. Asked for management constantly, no return calls treated very poorly. Management call, forget it. Get your wheels elsewhere like from HSE direct. Finally, HSE took care of it in 24. Hours after calling them direct. Center Caps cost over $100 alone, wheels look like junk without them.

Rhino roof rack, missing parts
Ordered a rhino roof rack. The rack arrived in factory packaging for the rails only, the other components arrived in a generic brown box. The components were loose; screws, bolts mounting brackets just dumped in with no packing slip. The 4 foot plates necessary to mount the system were missing. I called immediately and was promised swift action to get them sent. That was over a month ago. I have called 5 times, each time told they were commuting with the manufacturer and I would have the missing parts. They have not arrived, they are only sold as part of the entire system. CarID would not replace my order with new one, offering only a refund. And they would not apply the credit to a new order to be shipped immediately.
I absolutely would not do business with them again.

CHESTER FROM CARID.COM STEPPED INTO HELP & MADE THINGS RIGHT. I WILL SAY THAT THEY DO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I ordered two Shelby CS45 20x9 wheels on 08/06/20 for $707.78 shipped. I have emailed the wheels department regarding the shipment on 08/26/20, representative Clint stated wheels would be shipped out within 2 weeks. On September 28th I decided to call and check status, representative stated there was no update on shipping status. I then asked to have ordered cancel, he stated that it would be 3 to 5 business days to be refunded. It is now October 3 and no refund nor cancelation confirmation. This may be the first review I have ever written. I am shocked, disgusted, and downright APPALLED at CARiD.

First the "tire and wheel specialist" said our wheel didn't come in a staggered fitment, so we placed an order with all 8.5" wheels for over $2300. They sent all 9.5" sized wheels - mind you, I'm a pretty understanding person, but the front two rubbed against our strut towers and didn't work.

I went back online and noticed that they did actually sell these in staggered fitment - and very simply wanted the front two wheels exchanged with the proper size that WE ORDED and we would keep the back two no problem since it's what we originally wanted anyway. We were on the phone for over an hour, and they refused to let us speak with a manager. I guess that right there was a telling - enough sign that we were in trouble of being victim to a scam. We then opened a case that was supposed to be solved in 2-3 day. Day four - still nothing other than asking for more photos which we always delivered.

I even was proactive and reached out to Chester because I saw him responding to all these angry customers saying, "this is not how they do business and he wanted to make things right." Well... since then I have sent many pictures of the actual measurements of the wheels, comparison pictures of how wide the stock wheels are and how the wheels we received should be, photos of the tire rubbing against the strut tower, and the latest (and my personal favorite) - a video to prove that we didn't install the back tires on the front of the car lol.

They said we didn't measure properly and they actually sent us the right size, but the tape measurement just looks deceiving the way we measured it.

This company is true trash. I have never in my life posted a negative review, but then again have never been scammed like this before! STAY AWAY! I will NEVER buy from this company again and am urging everyone to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I am sorry if you didn't see these horrible reviews in time before you purchased from these scum bags.

I placed the order on August 31 and it was supposed to ship on the 2nd of September. I got a notice around the 8th of September that it's going to take two more weeks. I agreed to it but by 24 I called once again and they told me the wheels would shipped by September 25 at it's latest. On September 28 I called once again and they told me that the order wasn't full and that there were only three wheels, I decided to cancel and they agreed upon it and told me that my refund would be issued from 3-5 days. Today, October 2nd I called to check the status of my refund and was told that I can't get my refund because they sent the order on the 30th of September. I already decided to buy wheels from another site because I was told that I was getting a refund from this site and now I'm being forced to pay for a product I don't want.

Refund Trouble!
October 1, 2020

Ordered two headlights for my Tacoma. Without even unboxing them I sent them back for a full refund with permission given from customer service at carid. Two months later I still only have reimbursement for one of the two I sent back. I've called 4 times and emailed 3 times. Every response is the same. " The refund is being processed. It just got started yesterday so allow 3-5 business days for refund". How can the refund process just start yesterday on three separate occasions a week apart? I'm being jerked around. A month has passed and still no refund. They have the part and my money. They said they would have a supervisor contact me in 48hrs or less. Still no word from them. I am contacting my credit card company today to file fraud charges. These folks are ridiculous!

Didn't know anything about this company, but needed some all weather mats for my Honda. After ordering, they inexplicably sent an email that they had misquoted the price and would be cancelling the order and refunding the payment. It is now more than two weeks, three emails and a complaint to PayPal and still have not received the refund. Each time I write them they say it will be an additional 3 to 5 business days for the refund. BEWARE!
