I ordered a trailer hitch for a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited with the wiring kit more than a month ago and still have not received the correct item. The first wiring kit that they sent is clearly marked on the package that it is for a Jeep GRAND Cherokee 2011 TO 2017. I called and after 42 minutes of awful music and dumb comments, I was told that a replacement would be shipped ASAP and the return label would be emailed to me. After more than a week I had not received anything and called again. Again I was told that the correct part was on the way but when I received it 2 days later, Again it was the wrong part. This time they sent me a wiring kit for a Jeep GRAND Cherokee 2011 to 2018. After many calls and after many more minutes of awful music and announcements, I was put in touch with their "Expert Consumer Rep" who assured me that he would resolve everything. He assured me that I would receive the correct part within 2 days and I would receive the return instructions via Email within 24 hours. One week later, I received yet another incorrect part, this time the wiring kit for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. I still have not received the return instructions/labels for the return of the incorrect parts. I called again and left a detailed message for the "Expert" and a day later he sent me a message stating that the 3rd part sent is the correct part even though the package states otherwise. He also stated that the return instructions had already been sent to my Email address. It has been over a month since I started this ordeal and I have yet to receive even one Email from Carid and I have repeated the correct Email address to 4 different customer service reps. I have now had to turn it over to my VISA card company to dispute the charges made to my card. In all the years of ordering items online, this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. It feels as if they are purposely delaying a refund so as to hold onto my money and collect interest. I can not imaging why a company as big as Carid hires the most incompetent customer service reps and don't understand how they can stay in business.

We understand your frustration but the shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices (of course, if you find the same part for less we match the prices for you).

I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECIEVE A REFUND ON 4 12 21 ANOTHER PERSON TOLD ME I HAD TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR THE CANCELLATION TO BE CONFIRMED. I CANCELLED MY ORDER ON THE 5TH OF APRIL. IVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM DOING THIS TO SEVERAL PEOPLE. IM SORRY THAT I EVER EVEN TRIED TO DO BUSINESS WITH SUCH A SORRY COMPANY. STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND! I am making sure to do my rounds to let everyone know not to use this website to purchase parts.
I was looking for a cheaper interim strut until I decided what I wanted to do for a complete suspension set up. I purchased a pair of front struts with coils already mounted. They came in cardboard boxes with no packing material. The sensor mounts were bent but otherwise no damage. I completed the install and the top mount bolts were too short. When I notified CARID, they said because they came in damaged and I installed them (because it was just bending them straight) that they wouldn't cover them. They needed to be claimed as damaged. It wasn't real damage it was just a note to them that the product ships poorly. They denied any responsibility and then offered me $10 credit if I returned them. (they were $225). This company is just moving product and then telling the customer to go screw if there's a problem. Look at the other reviews for them. Don't trust them. The only reason its not 2 stars or less is because they bought a ton of 5 star ratings to begin with to keep their average up.

*****Edit*** After asking me to contact them they offered 25% refund on the products. But here's the kicker, below is what they told me about the nuts not threading even close to all of the way on to the bolts.
"According to our tech, these are the correct struts for the vehicle. The bolts may not go through completely, but the strut will hold in place with the weight of the vehicle and will not be dangerous to the customer. There is no defect on the struts purchased."
WOW, why do they even have a torque spec if they don't even need to thread all of the way through? This is the advice this company will give you so that they will not have to give a refund on a bad product. I will be notifying Nissan to let them know of their claim of installation and what is OK to do. This is absolutely wild to me. Please do not buy from them, they will make promises based on lies. This is not a safe or approved installation, but hey, they didn't have to refund $200, so who cares if someone gets hurt?

I called and while I was on hold, I chatted with a lady at Carid and she confirmed that it could not be shipped to Canada. Just hung up and got a call back and a guy looked at doing it manually to get it to work. He could not also. He gave me a phone number *******436 and said the guy would ship that time to me.

That is customer service way and beyond what I expected for sure. Thanks for the help out

Defective Injectors 2.0

I would like to say that I did receive a response from Carid and I have sent the 6 injectors back on the promise that I would be refunded.

I would hope that they would look at the customer service experience I had and make changes. Being passed around to several people saying the same thing sounds like they do not care and will not even try to help you. I should not have to post a bad review to get a refund for faulty injectors. I should not have to be a videographer either. Why would I want to send back the injectors if they worked properly. I see no motivation for me to lie to get a refund if they worked and did not leak, None.

Defective Injectors

I purchased 6 fuel injectors for my 1979 Datsun 280Zx from Carid. They were remanufactured. Right away when I installed them a couple of them were leaking. I took the car apart and sent an email to get the problem rectified. I bought 2 new injectors and sent back the two leaky injectors for core deposit as I kinda blamed myself for the problem.
Got the two new ones and installed them all again. You must take the whole fuel system apart to get one out as they are all on a rail and its not an easy task. Covid hit and months go by and I just decided that I would buy some new injectors. Thinking since they had problems right off the bat refund qwould be easy.
When I contacted Carid, they wanted a video showing the problem. I did not have one. They said too bad and that was the end after I asked several ways and emailed with a few people at the customer service dept.

Suggest that you find your injectors( and buy new ones) from elsewhere that has customer satisfaction as their main goal as this does not seem to be the case here ay Carid.

Used the Live chat to order an exhaust system for my 1978 Corvette. I asked two different people if the system came with all the parts to go from my stock horn manifolds back and they said sure does and sent me a picture even. First of all the kit arrives missing parts (Muffler, adapter pipe, and two down pipes) and in no way was it for the exhaust manifolds back. I contacted them about both issues and it have now been over two weeks and still have not received my missing parts and they said the picture was wrong and that I needed to order a separate kit costing my another $144.00 Buyer Beware - stay away from this site for any car parts! They are truly horrible and know nothing on the parts they sell!

Terrible Business

Hey, beware, I've had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with Carid. They shipped my tires and wheel's, mounted and balanced WITHOUT TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor's), which I paid for. They wanted me to dismantle all four wheel's and send them back in order to receive a refund. You know, I can see if one or two was working, which would have been a clear indication that the TPMS had been mounted. But Nooooooo, all four were NOT working. I have a 2020 Camaro. I had taken my car to AutoNation to have my car service, plus have the TPMS relearned. The service department said that all four TPMS would not relearn. So, to have me dismantle the wheel's and ship TMPS back to them, when it's quite obvious that CARID forgot to install them would cost more time and money, I told them just keep the mesely $150.00. They could have at least offered to send me new ones or a refund without hassle or hesitation. So, my advise to you all. Find another custom wheel site. I promise you, there will be problems. You will regret that you ever dealt with them. The first time I dealt with them, I paid over $2,000.00. This time I paid $2,750 and still had problems.

Ordered polished fuel rails for 2016 Camaro ss they sent me brushed... brushed was not an option and not mentioned anywhere in the ad it was polished I even checked the ad after I discovered they were brushed after permanently installing them on fuel rail covers and removing protective film.the ad said polished no where mentioned brush not even under option there was only one. Polished... contacted customer service email. A day later they come back and said the ad said brushed and tried to blame me... I went back to the ad and they changed it but funny thing the could not change my original order that says polished... I called the company to get ahold of someone in management to complain about the idiot that lied to me and I was blocked by the receptionist and would not put me thru to management... never never do business with this company it has gone down hill since it was sold off last year. I have made our corvette club aware of my experience with them... over 100 members... they will never do business with them again either...

Not what I ordered

I ordered taillights that the website stated would fit my car. The lights did not fit my car. Sent them back for a refund and they stated they were damaged. These lights were not damaged, they were never used. The order was wrong and they were completely at fault. So they are thieves, stole my money! And customer service didn't know what they were doing.

Purchased a Dorman drive shaft on 3/6/21 and within a few days received the shipping confirmation and tracking number. After several days of monitoring I noticed the tracking was not changing. After many calls to CarID and about 1 month of time I realized I was never getting the product and requested a credit to my card which they basically refused saying they needed to file a missing product claim (not my problem). Still fitting for a credit of about $450 for a product I will never receive. Stay away from CarID!

Recently ordered an item via Apple Pay. It showed the shipping as $0.00. After placing order apple sent me a receipt that showed over $15 in shipping charges. Upon seeing this I immediately called customer service to cancel my order, only minutes after placing it. Customer service tried to offer me gift certificates instead of canceling the order. After I refused the gift certificate. The customer service rep told me my order was canceled and that if it shipped to me all I had to do was send it back for a refund. Two days later, on Sunday night, they decided to ship my cancelled order and send me an email telling me if I chose to return it they would deduct my original inflated shipping charge of over $15 and charge me a fee for the return. This is completely unacceptable business practice from a shady business. THEFT BY DECEPTION! I will refuse package delivery and dispute the charge with my credit card. They will not steal money from me. Be more clear about prices and your cancellation policy. Like basically you cannot cancel an order. If the product had shipped before I cancelled it I would understand, but it did not. I canceled the order Friday only minutes after placing it and they chose to not cancel it and sent it anyway, two days later. Shame on you!

However, we are always ready to assist and provide the return documents to return the product back for refund or offer compensation if the client will decide to keep the product.

From what i see, the request to reroute your package was successfully submitted in the system. The full amount of refund will be issued to the original payment method once the tracking number will show progress back.

I ordered a $900 part from them on 3-10-21. I'm aware of Covid and the delays in shipping, so i get that it said the estimated ship time would be 3-17-21. What bugs me is the fact that now they are saying my item is out of stock and earliest ship date is July?! How did it go from being in stock when i ordered it, to out of stock, and not even able to be shipped until July? Then, to top it off, the customer service agent i attempted to talk to was no help. Barely spoke english and acted like there was nothing she could do. So I tried chatting. Well, for the 4 times that i tried chatting online they would just end the chat. So I said let me select a different item, since they have that option. Did that and it says they will email you within one or two business day with a reply. Well still havent got a reply in a week. This company is a absolute joke!

Total joke. Ordered and paid immediate. I was supposed to receive the part 3 working days later. Of course, 3 days they miraculously tell me, after I got ahold of them for the tracking number, that the part will need to be manufactured and then shipped 2 weeks later. Obviously they dont know customer service. Miracle joke2, the day it was supposed to ship, 2 weeks later, i get ahold of them again, and i am informed the part is no longer available. Lol They still do not know communication and or customer service. Thankfully i was on top of it to manage their weakness. Disgusted
