Wrong muffler
October 30, 2022

I ordered a muffler for my Nissan Altima. Getting the part was prompt however the muffler was not as it was described in description or photograph. The photo on CARID's website showed a muffler IDENTICAL to my muffler however what I got was different. The intake was on the opposite side as mine and what their photo showed.
I sent email regarding my muffler and that I wanted to return it for a refund. Their response was to send photos of car's VIN and the part and then they would get back to me. After about 6 weeks or so of checking in with them and telling them I want to return the muffler for a refund (never got a response) I finally got a response politely saying I "was out of the return period" and could not return the product.
My experience was frustrating, frankly, I was really pissed off. I usually don't write bad reviews but this needed to be said.
I was ripped off by CARID and I will never do business with them! In the event I order a car part online I will go thru Amazon or Rock Auto. Amazon is much easier to deal with on returns. That's why their so big. If something is wrong I can get it rectified. As far as this poorly run company, I am done with wasting my time getting this resolved.
The big takeaway from my review for anyone who is considering purchasing a part is DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM CARID! I WOULD NOT EVEN BUY AN AIR FRESHNER FROM CARID! CARID SUCKS!

Rip off

Ordered a bull bar with lights and a third brake light. After a week of no response I finally got an email telling me they shipped the lights but the bull bar was back ordered. After two more weeks no bull bar in stock with no delivery date expected. Got the lights for the bull bar with no bull bar. Got the incorrect third brake light so I asked to return and refund. After a month of bull$#*! from over 8 different employees telling me they are working on it I called it quits. I kept the incorrect part and sold it on ebay for a profit because it was luckily a more expensive light. They did not return my money for over three weeks for the bull bar they sold me but never had in stock. I never got a refund receipt for the third brake light. THIS COMPANY AND ANY "ID" COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

I placed an order with CarID for two off road bumpers. Both items reflected to be in-stock and even got a notice items shipped. Then a week later i got an email stating my order was canceled. After calling them and getting a customer rep in the Philippines, they said CarID cancelled the order because shipping cost increased. I had a contract with them for purchase which i have receipts. Even after a week my card is not been refunded. These people are crooks and unethical... Do not do business with them. Thank-God my credit card company is on my side... I will never ever do another purchase with these people. NEVER!

Ordered silver rims with tires, they sent light grey. First call they said look at them in sunlight and send pictures, which I did. Next call they said they couldn't do anything since I didn't order the silver trim for the wheel, which is ridiculous since the grey would still show, but said they needed 6 days review the recording of my order. Also, the balancing weights were all over the box. Ordered "55 RALLY silver wheels." Ordered silver, expected silver for my pearl white/silver trim 1974 Ford Ranger antique pickup truck. Grey is useless. I see in reviews that Car ID has more unhappy than happy customers. They have a great website and it says they paint "in house" but I should have read the reviews first.

Don't buy from them

Terrible company worst customer service ever. This company doesn't even try. They sent me a used cassette toilet for my camper that smelled of urine. It was so bad UPS person warned us. So bad that it would be impossible for the person in shipping not to notice the smell. Now that I'm reading their reviews, I see this is just who they are. Management is aware of all the complaints, so the problem starts with Antonino Ciappina, the CEO, and runs straight down to the person in shipping and all the rude people in customer service.

Customer service rep just kept telling me the same thing that they could issue refund thru a check. Would not listen to me that i can not have a check issued under my name for the refund because this is for a Business Account. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times and she told me the manager was too busy to talk to me. Horrible customer service, will never purchase again.

Not looking good

Ended up receiving a 80.00 discount on a purchase, then I immediately canceled. Then they would no longer honor the 80.00 discount on another item, even though it was from customer service and not a coupon.

Still after receiving two damaged bumpers, have still not received a call from management. Have been put off for over than two weeks saying that they never received the photos that I sent. But I followed all their guidelines, still no calls from management that I requested. Can't get any answers on what is being done. Only thing is, the account that was used, has charged a interest fee. So I tell them I need pmt of the interest fee since u can't get a refund, and they said they can't do this. So apparently it's ok to handle others money as it belongs to them, but when they can't do their job it's a different situation.

Now I was beginning to think they were respectful, since I finally received an email. But they end up giving me a 80.00 discount on a purchase, then I decided to cancel that order just within an hour, and once it was canceled that discount was no longer available for any other use. Even though it was a discount applied from customer relations, not a coupon.
So another reason not use this company.

Garbage

Bought $600 worth of Tundra LED tail lights. All mounts broke after 3 months. Would not offer any warranty, said they were properly installed. DO NOT BUY FROM CARID. WILL NOT HONOUR WARRANTY. INFERIOR PRODUCT..

My Boss wanted to order Brakes and Rotors in advance for his 2018 Range Rover Sport. I called around for pricing and then went on the internet. Could not find parts so called CARID direct. Have VIN number to CARID agent and he looked up the parts. They were ordered in June but we did not try to install them until early October. The parts were wrong! They will not take them back or exchange them. Parts cost was over $1000. They offered a $25 gift card. The Boss has put CARID on our Do Not Use Supplier List. Not many companies on that list.

The 30 days return policy was designed to give a consumer enough time to test-fit the product, make sure it meets their expectations and to report defects/ flaws if located. Unfortunately, after 3 months from the moment of purchase, it becomes very complicated to return the product, as it is far away from the regular return period.

In some particular cases, if the return period has passed just recently, we can still check if the product could be returned as an exception. We are currently working with the manufacturer to see if there are possibilities to approve the return.

No help from customer service

Bought a set of headlight assemblies for 468.00 and in 6 months the turn signal bezel that holds the bulb in place came un glued and dropped in the headlight assembly which made it useless. Called and was transferred 6 times and was never allowed to speak to a manager to get it resolved. I knew the 30 day warranty was out and I just wanted to purchase one headlight and not a pair of headlights. Needless to say they just gave me the runaround until I got frustrated and hung up which works out to their advantage... I will never purchase anything from them again

I purchased a bug shield from these Carid & didn`t see that the bottom drivers side had a small piece broken off in shippoing they would not stand behind because I had been installed it. I paid 75$ for it & they told after some time that they would give me 15$ refund. I told them to keep the 15$ they must need it worse than I do. If I would have seen it beforehand it wouldn't have been put on. Too bad is pretty much what I got out of it. Shouild have the return stuff notice. I recommend you shop around before purchasing anything from Carid so you too don`t get screwed. They just don`t care. Buyer Beware!

Beware lying salesmen

CARID and I reached a settlement where I returned all the parts and they refunded the total of the order, including postage. This was to my satisfaction; Next time more diligence on my part will avoid a disaster like this.

In 2015 I used CARID to rebuild a late model Jeep while in living in British Virgin islands. The salesman was of immense help and the project was a success.

In 2022 I returned to car ID to salvage a truck from the junkyard. With a much different mission, the salesman did not assist me with the goals.
Heiner Valverde used lies and obfuscation to steal as much money for me as possible for this simple parts request.

In the end, I returned most of the parts, but was unable to cancel the entire order and Heiner was successful in stealing more than $100 from us.

I will never return to this unscrupulous company.

Note: i tried uploading the receipt but couldn't but the order # ******* MADE ON 10/5/2022

I am never coming near this company ever again. I bought a driver side upper control arm for my Chevy suburban and the wrong one was sent over. When I called today to request an exchange i spoke to "Bel" and from minute one she had an attitude and was trying to hold me responsible for ordering the wrong part. However, all i could do while making the purchase on the website was put my truck's info and verify that it was a fit which i did. While talking with "Bel", she didn't want to believe that it was the wrong part so had to look up the SUK# for the part to proof to her that it was the wrong part. Then eventually she agreed to start the return process but still charged me a restocking fee and that's where i lost my mind because it was their fault in cataloging the product wrong in the 1st place. Not to mention she was too damn ghetto with me on the phone so i couldn't take this kind of attitude and i asked for a supervisor or manager and she wouldn't let me talk to one. So, i hang up and called again and Jane answered this time. She was nice at first until she realized it was a return then her tone changed as well but wasn't as bad as "Bel". Long story short, i had to ask for a return at this point as they made it clear that they wouldn't even consider owning up to their mistake and was forced to start the return process in order to get the majority of my money back. Clearly, they lack of any decent customer care. I have 2 cars and always buying parts but never had to deal with this kind of unprofessionalism. I understand if i had a change of heart about the purchase then ya i ll own up to the restocking fee but it was clearly a mistake on their end.

Parta return

They only accept parts 30 days after shipping and will not take back unopened Uninstaller parts after that date. Go elsewhere and spend the 10 dollars more for a 90 day return or a website that's more understanding that things are not done instantly

I ordered rims and tires set since they told me I can get it in 2-3 days
After I put down the orders, nightmares began, there's no ETA or ETD, and I called every single day asking about it, then there's a very rude customer service with heavy accent, keep on telling me "I have no access for this order, I can't cancel it, there's nothing I can do, I can't do that... etc etc etc. then I got promise that latest I will get my orders is on monday, and I still didn't get it, called again, the very rude customer service with heavy accent told me to wait for another 48 hours because he can't do nothing and don't know what is going on. So I insisted to cancel the orders to get my refund back, waited for another 48 hours, I called back again, same answers, no tracking numbers nothing, the other customer service told me he will cancel the order for me, and I will get my money back 2-5days, guess what, I got a email at 10:42pm saying the tires has been shipped with a tracking number (not the rims), I was so piss I dispute the credit card payments, call again today say I want me refund back, they only refund the wheels that never been shipped, I refuse to accept the delivery from FedEx, call again, they say... We need to find out what is going on with our team and get back to you in 48 hours...

Don't buy from them!

Poor service

After waiting a month for a set of wheels and tires which still haven't arrived, customer service tells me the same thing they said 3 weeks ago. " the wheels are still being drilled and cut to spec" this doesn't take a month to do. If you email this company all you will receive back is a advertisment to buy something else. I highly recommend not doing business with this company for they lack communication skills and professionalism.
