I reserved in June 2019 through CarFlexi a car for one day, in Madrid. On the voucher there was only one figure: rental 24EUR, all taxes included. At the rental company - FireFly - I had to pay additional 7EUR local tax and 31EUR for refuelling, although I returned the car with full tank. To my complain to CarFlexi, it took them 2 weeks to answer, without telling me where it was written that I will have to pay 31EUR for a service that was not provided. So, in the end, I paid more than double. That's how they appear to be so cheap...
When I got to my destination I needed to call Klass Wagon company and they were not located on the airport as I was promessed. After they droped me off at the Klass Wagon rental car company, it turns out they DO NOT TAKE my american express what I made the reservation with. I went back to airport and rented car from Sixth. Carflexi refuse to refund my money at this time.
I would definitely recommend car flexi, was very easy to find vehicles, terms and conditions etc. But definitely wouldn't recommend Alamo the service is shocking..

They gave me a bigger car, at the same price. Good services! I got all my money back from the damage I caused to the car. There was some delay but it was not because of the company.
Scam service, do not go for it, they will make you pay, you will not receive anything and they will not refund your money and never respond to your emails.

Booked a car through car flexi. When I collected at the airport I was informed that I would be charged €124 for fuel and if I returned it full I would get the €124 returned to me. I notice on there voucher that it states something different in as much as if you return car with fuel in they will reimburse you for every remaining quarter tank! Anyway The small car that i rented states that the fuel tank capacity is 35 litres. If you take the worst price I have seen in Ireland of €2 this should make €70 for a full tank. As there wasnt any garages open at 6am in Knock I left the car with over half a tank. So will I get €62 returned to me or will they charge me €62 to fill it up. Either way they are robbing me and everyone else. I paid extra for the collision waver but still had to pay €2000 bond to cover any accidents. So what was the insurance premium for. Another fiddle! Cant see the final invoice either so at present dont know what they are charging me. What I do know is that in future I will book direct with car hire companies I dont know how I got involved with CarFlexi.com but it will never happen again and I suggest everybody ignore this company and go direct.
We hired a car for three weeks when we were looking for a new vehicle for ourselves. We were lucky enough to find a suitable vehicle after one week. We had not realized we were renting at Alamo through a third-party. Alamo accepted that we were returning the car after one not three weeks and fully refunded us the two weeks that we were not going to use. When we called CarFlexi to get a refund on the insurance they said oh no you cannot change the contract. We spent over two hundred dollars for the two weeks we did not have the car. Meanwhile we did not receive any terms & conditions with our e-voucher although the voucher says it is included. We will be more careful next time we rent to ensure we are not dealing with a third party although some possibly are not disreputable as CarFlexi is. Their conduct ensures they will never have anything but one time customers. Considering there are many people like ourselves that travel four months of the year & need to rent a car for those periods CarFlexi will never benefit from return customers. Totally negative experience & total rip off.

I used Carflexi twice to obtain a rental car. The rental companies that provided those two cars were fantastic. Carflexi was the scam in my view. Carflexi charged me more for their service fee to obtain each rental car than what the rental fee was to rent each car. No where on its form does Carflexi show the price that they charge for their service. The price they show is the total cost owed to the actual provider of the rental car. I assumed this price also included their fee. It didn't. I contacted Carflexi about this issue and they won't help. They say it is a fee for their service. Carflexi hasn't shown me any confirming documentation to support their position, nor could they show me what their fee is. I asked one of the two rental companies about this and the rep told me commissions they charge are very low and they were surprised by the amount that Carflexi charged me. Carflexi hasn't offered me any supporting documents on this and they won't reverse the charges so beware of using them to obtain a rental car.

Punctuality: ahh;; 4 Hours and counting and finally got my car after 4.5 hours of delay
Return Time: Company told 4 traffic violations in last two days; the guy showed me an online mobile app; told me 300 Manat is the fine value. I pushed them to see the fine on police portal - fine was only Manat 120; When i refused to pay extra company told ok pay 220;
(PS: if a company/car rental - pays fine in 3 days they also get 10% discount in Azerbaijan.)
Anyways matter got heated up and i told them i will pay 120 at the police station; (these companies will buy time because you might be at airport and are time bound. I was lucky i had 180 minutes before my flight departs). He was giving me excuses that police will take fine from owner only etc etc; Anyhow my Wife approached a cop; but then things turned. He immediately showed me full mobile apps and told these are last month dates and not for the period i rented the vehicle. He was sorry and from 4 Fines to 300 Manat to 220 Manat to 0 fines --- 0 manat. (300 manat = 180 USD). Not a small amount.
Booked a car with enterprise cars through carflexi. Upon arrival at christchurch airport at 5pm nobody was at the agency stand, Other people told me they leave at 4p! There are still flights arriving way after that. No mention on the website about early closing. No I'm trying to get my money back from carflexi but thus far no response to my emails. Recommendation to everybody: IT IS NOT WORTH TRYING TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS and then having all the troubles
Received a great quote w/ an easy reservation process. When we went to pick-up the car in Athens, the local agency wouldn't honor the rental as I didn't have an International Driver's License (I've rented twice in Italy in the last 6 months without one so wasn't aware). Yes, this was buried in the T&C's on Carflexi's website but wasn't cited in the multiple advance emails listing out the required documentation (they cited the following: voucher, valid credit card, drivers license, ID/passport). In-the-moment support was terrible: slow chat offering no helpful info, leaving us stranded w/ no car... it took multiple taxis, busses and 5 additional hours to get us and the kids to our destination. Follow-up support continued to be a disaster, lost all of my $672 deposit as they were of no help, took no accountability and "hid behind the fine print." Ended up going directly to Sixt and had a great experience: they gave us the info needed to get the necessary license in a matter of hours online and ultimately gave us a better price on a slightly larger car. Going direct with the rental agencies is definitely the best way to go... unfortunately this was an expensive lesson to learn.
I booked a car in Christchurch for the period 17th August to 26th August. When booking, I paid CarFlexi $233.19 on 13th August 2021. This amount was split between car rental (+/- $89) and the balance was for insurance to cover excess in case of an accident. Due to the Covid lockdown in Auckland, I had to return the car on 19th August so that I could return to Auckland within the prescribed 48 hours. As a result, I only used 2 out of the 10 days of the car hire and insurance. By my reckoning, I am due for a refund of 8/10x$233.19 = $186.55. I have now sent three emails and phoned twice about this but am getting no response. I just feel I am being fobbed off by junior employees.
One star is too many to give this company. The customer service was horrible at Carflexi, unfortunately they work with another company called Avance here in Athens at least they were a little more honest. I read some of the reviews, and it seems this is a common issue with Carflexi that there falsely advertise, and hook you in with reasonable prices then suprise you with "excess protection" fees and small print, and non obvious links that an international drivers is needed then you call and they keep your money. I spoke to someone named Kosta at CarFlexi. No help at all basically told me I have to email the contact us, claimed he can't cancel the reservation, told us where to find the links about the international drivers license and even admitted that it happens a lot, and so did the agent at Avance. As many others wrote on this site. Still no response. And no refund. I have contacted many, and plan to contact more about this unfair treatment here in Athens. People. Please choose another company... avoid Avance and Carflexi because you do not know who you are dealing with and they work together to get your money. Once they have it you will be left high and dry!

I booked for the first time a rental car through CarFlexi. The local Europcar could not provide the car class as they said they dont have that or any similar car as were appearing on the website! The only reason I wanted to rent a car from them because they had around seven 4 wheel drive cars which were the only one we were looking due to driving to the mountains which a big amount of snow.
When we arrived the man said they don't have even one of these cars so gave us a two wheel drive car and not even providing the snow chain saying it is not needed as this car would be good enough.
We nearly had few accidents, the car was not able to drive in the current condition at all and we were stuck in the middle of the way as the car wouldn't go farer! We lost the money for our accomodation in the planning destination and yet had to pay for another hotel in the middle of our way waiting for the weather to get better.
Absolutely not recommending. Liars!
