My wife and I bought one-way tickets from Chicago to Chiangmai, Thailand on 9.5.22 for $580 per child (5 & 7) and $724 per adult - e-tickets # ************** and Booking Number KBUSW-******* for a total of $2,608.60 USD + $10 USD servicing fee. On November 7th, we were notified that our November 19th international flight to Thailand was cancelled and no alternate flight arrangements were made. We received no phone call, and we have yet to be reimbursed for the expense. I called Korean Airlines, and they said that those flights were no longer available; however, they have a policy that would allow for alternate travel to be booked free of charge with Korean Airlines +/- 7 days of the original scheduled departure; however, since Budgetair.com filed a reimbursement on 11.10.22 without authorization from us or contacting us, we have effectively waived our right to reschedule our flight at the original cost of our airline purchase on 9.5.22. If you're reading this review, it's likely to late to warn you, and you have likely also fallen prey to this fraudulent scam. Budget air should be avoided at all cost. We had to rebook our travel, and it cost us $10,000 to book travel to Thailand on 11.12.22. We are absolutely disgusted.

I do not what their game is but they are worse booking agent I have ever used.
I fly atleast 20 times a year and always source flights through sky scanner and always straightforward.
I sourced a flight from Athens to Düsseldorf and reserved seat 6F. I booked through Budget air who quoted £178.
Later that evening I had email to say my booking was cancelled. I called them to be told that I failed fraud verification. I contacted my card provider who said they had no issues and that £214 had been claimed by Budget air. I called budget air who still Insisted I'd failed fraud verification to which I asked "what verification" as if my card provider cleared payment then there is no further verification.
I booked flight direct with Aegean Air and reserved same seat 6F.
I sent Budget air a strong email accusing them of fraudulent trading.
The following day they emailed to say it was not fraud verification but that there was no flight availability, which is false as I booked same flight and same seat.
Do not take a chance and book through them as I could afford to book another flight and wait for Barclaycard to block payment and recredit at a later date... not all young families could do this.
I run 6 companies with 3 merchant accounts and an FCA licence, there is no explainable reason for how they behaved and I just advise to book through a reputable broker or if possible direct with airline.
I have had the most disappointing experience with Budgetair - which nearly ruined the holiday of a lifetime.
In a few bullet points:
- we booked our tickets through budget air from Jakarta to Sorong for a dive trip with fixed dates
- the airline emailed me saying the flights were cancelled and that they will refund me through budget air
- I contacted budget air - they said the fights were still going, the airline company representative also contacted them via phone AND email copying me stating that the airline will re-imburse the flights
- Budget air did not provide any explanation for refusing to refund me, then even asked me to pay a fee! They also refused to answer any email or call after that.
They kept nearly 500USD that the airline repeatedly said they are happy to re-reimburse, created a lot of stress, we had to rebook tickets by ourselves, pay additional luggage fees.
For the little money we saved booking through them we lost a lot more at the end, plus our sanity. I will always book directly with the airline after that experience
This site is absolutely trash. I bought tickets in February 2020 to go to USA in May 2020, when of course a month after booking covid had hit Australia. I was scheduled to go through the Virgin Airlines. Booking the tickets, I thought damn, it's a few hundred cheaper than if I get it on Aunt Betty or any direct airline site, so why not! But I was totally wrong. WOW is BudgetAir shocking. Right after I found out my flights were cancelled, due to the travel restrictions in Australia cause of COVID, I tried emailing, calling and Facebook messaging Budget Air. NO $#*!ING LUCK! They are USELESS. I then tried contacting Virgin Australia, which would keep saying that I have to speak to the travel company I bought my tickets through for my refund. Try calling BurdgetAir, and it says the lines are disconnected. If I were you, and you're planning on travelling right now, pay the extra hundred but go through a REAL website. Not this dodgy $#*!. Ever since booking the tickets which was $1865, and I have not received one cent back, still :)
I booked with budgetair in December. Tried to checkin online day before and it said booking not recognised. So went early to the airport to checkin and they said we don't have that reference number and none of your names are on the manifest meaning the agency didn't actually book our seats with the airline. I tried to call the agency and none of the numbers on the website were working, tried the online chat and kept getting the chatbot. The lady at the checkin desk said the flight was full so we couldn't even be booked into that flight. We had to then book separate tickets with another airline and the airport which was costing more. Finally when I reached budgetair first they said we missed the flight, then I sent my reference number etc and raised the issue with my credit card, then budgetairsaid close the case with the credit card and we will be able to process the refund. After I did this they then said we can't refund because you missed the flight. Even though I have sent Evidence showing that the reference number never existed on the airline side. Their phone number dosent work so all this is back and forth via email. Do Not Book with them!
I when to the airport just to find out I wasn't in the system at all the money for the ticket was taken. Wasting time money and the test for the covid

Absolute scumbag site. Once my checkin was available I found out they had booked me for ENTIRELY THE WRONG DEPARTURE CITY! There is NO PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM, ONLY A CHATBOT! UNBELIEVABLE! I would like to say disgraceful customer service, but actually there is none at all. I booked trip to Thailand for my sister and her family and due to unfortunate circumstances her husband can't make it. My sister found replacement and I tried to change the person name on the ticket. I was trying to replace him with my little nephew godmother so they do not fly this far alone! I have been trying past last 3 weeks and answer is the same "sorry sir your ticket is non-refundable" Even when you ask what is the weather like in Thailand. When you asking to speak to a manager, you are given either a false name or anytime of the day the manger is on break. After several attempts to resolve this issue, I was asked to call The flight operator for approval. I called Moscow to speak to Aeroflot, their advisors advised me that I can not change the name, but they can cancel with partial refund. After I called back and explained what Aeroflot has told me, the arrogant guy replied call them and ask refund from them then, and keep repeating it is non re-fundable, their T&C's are very blurry and very general, where it doesn't say clearly what the deal is. Three weeks of never-ending phone calls and still no resolution. And bearing on mind previous complaints, their replies are even worse! "Sorry if we were unable to help, however your feedback is appreciated" Which clearly they laughing in your face. So unless you don't want to get rip off, or simply being ignored by rude and arrogant staff who replies over the phone just briefly then AVOID as far as you can, as those people are nothing but thieves. Incompetent and arrogant telesales team. Emails are not being replied on time. And what is called "pushing the limits" is to ask me to cancel the whole reservation and re-book again, for another new full cost! I am shocked they are still holding licence to sell.

I dont usually write a feedback or comment or review but I hope you read my story so you wont experience the same ordeal we are having with Budgetair.
Last Fri, June 21,2019, we tried to book a round-trip flight feom Manila-Sydney-Manila for my family of 5.
We were lured by the cheapest price we saw at budget air. We tried many times but at the end, it said, "payment failed". We used my other credit card and got the same respond.
But to our great shock we were charged thrice! Twice in my husband's credit card which amounted to P250K or $5000 and in my credit card amounting to P50k or$1000.
Weve been contacting budgetair thru call and email since Monday, June 24,2019 but they said we dont have a booking even if we sent our credit bill. Add to our dismay is that even if we emailed them soo many times, we didnt get any reply and they said they didnt receive any of our emails.
We even tried their online customer service but it kept saying, "oopps system failed"
Please we need help. If anyone here had experienced this very stressful, heartbreaking, painful experience from Budget air, please let us know what to do. We are pushed on the wall. We dont know what to do. We dont know where to go because i dont even know if they have a physical office in India.
The sad part here is our flight is next week and yet we cant book another ticket.

DO NOT USE - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I booked a flight approximately six months ago with Budget Air, the airline they used was Jet Airways. With the issues Jet Airways are having, they have been emailing me for the last few weeks with cancellation and rescheduling changes. I have been attempting to contact Budget Air for over two weeks, I have called their customer service number every day, at least four times, and been on hold for over 20 minutes each time. I have sent seven emails, to receive one reply with a different customer service number, which again got no response.
Finally today someone answered, to confirm yes the flight was cancelled, and they would contact me at some point within 24 hours to discuss if I'm entitled to a refund. My response was not particularly kind! Why would I not be entitled to a refund when they have booked my flight with a company cancelling most of it's flights for the last month!
I am now waiting to see if I will receive a refund, whilst hoping the prices don't go up more for my flight in a week!

Answer: Yes it is that bad. Stay away, you never know if your booking will go through or not. They charge ridiculous service fees so if you dont have the correct type of card (mastercard, visa, debit, credit etc), they will charge you upwards of $20 minimum to make your booking.
Answer: I know I am answering this too late but trying to cancel through Budgetair is a NO GO they do not answer the phone or emails it is a complete and utter scam. Always cancel with your airline first to be safe like I did... Since early February Budget Air has yet to answer the phone or return my emails, AVOID USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
