Bridgecrest Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a plethora of negative feedback, with customers consistently expressing frustration over poor customer service, unresponsive communication, and perceived predatory lending practices. Common complaints include difficulties in modifying payment dates, aggressive collection tactics, and excessive fees that exacerbate financial burdens. While a few customers report satisfactory experiences when loans are kept current, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of support and empathy from the company. This pervasive dissatisfaction suggests a need for substantial improvements in customer relations and service transparency to enhance overall customer experience and trust.

Worst lender ever!
August 8, 2025

Bridgecrest is one of the most predatory loan companies ever. I bought a car through them 2 years ago, paying almost 600 in car payments and my loan is still sitting at over 14k BOUGHT the car for 13,000 after taxes roughly 15k. If you are thinking about trying to finance a car through them, it will be the worst mistake of your life. The interest is insane. It's daily in the high teens. Terrible company. Almost considered doing a voluntary surrender and was at the point where I didn't even care about the hit it would take to my credit. Can't refinance the car bc it's too old, no dealership wants to trade it in because the car is so upside down in the payments. It's truly terrible. I would never recommend this company and hopefully it goes out of business.

Worst ever
May 11, 2025

Fell behind on payment due to death in family. I called them on Friday to make arrangements to straight things out. Thought things were arranged that day, but apparently they did pass it along and woke up Sunday to my car gone. No knocked on the door to I form me that they were told to take it. So don't trust a thing they say when you talk to them. And the 24/7 number they have posted isn't 24/7.

Worst possible company to deal with. They have no managers allowed to assist you, leaving you to a "customer relations" line that can't do much of anything. It took weeks of calls in order to get money back that was owed to me after my insurance gave them a full payouts. They actively are rude and uncommunicative. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Regret
June 20, 2024

I truly regret doing business with this institution. I recommend finding some one else. They way they structure the loan and how unwilling they are to finance your loan for you is predatory. Trash.

I say ZERO stars….This is a terrible company to finance with they do not release the TITLE for 10 days, which often takes you three additional days with DMV in order to do anything with your vehicle…. So they took the money on the 1st of June add weekends and it ends up 21 days I cant sell it. Soooooo Im stuck. I paid the remainder of the loan ( thousands)… and I've NEVER EVER been late. They WILL NOT release the title… BUT THEY TOOK THE MONEY RIGHT AWAY! Shame you…. Bad bad business…. My receipt is my title. This should be against the law! What does the federal government think of this… are y'all making interest on my money. Is that why? I gonna push for this to be unlawful. Im STUCK! STUCK with the truck for a total of 21 days…. With NO TITLE… when essentially, we live in a world where everything is pretty instant you took your money right away now where is my title? I could even understand in 3 to 5 days but this is beyond ridiculous. What if I don't have the money should I go take out a loan on this truck so I can have some money now while I wait to be able to sell it ….thanks….I hope y'all don't trick anyone else or financially hurt them like this… warning people do not loan with this company.

They way they set the payments is dumb. When I asked why is it set up for biweekly, they said it was based how I was paid. I asked again but why, they said the samething. So I asked ok what if I got paid once a month or once a year, no answer. Bridgecrest God forbid you mess one payment because they send out a repo letter saying they are coming to get the car. Then they also talk to you like they are better then you. I don't need to go to school to be rude I can already do that, so why can't i get a job where rude pays the bills.

Predators
March 10, 2024

I consider them a predator because they ask you to pay three times what the car is worth because they know you they have you in a bad spot and you need transportation and they are relentless and pursuing you.

Double Payment
March 5, 2024

If I could give bridgecrest no stars I would have. Bridgecrest charged me two payments, when I called them to reverse a payment back into my account they said the second payment can be used for the following month. I contacted my bank to take care of the problem, the bank reversed the payment back into my account. Now bridgecrest is charging me a fee for the one payment that my bank reversed back into my account. Bridgecrest is full of crap and I would advise anyone to not get a vehicle through Carvana so you do not have to deal with bridgecrest.

I called them several times and every time its a different answer. I am POA for a family member who is in a nursing home on hospice with cancer. I have sent the POA to them twice and they still will not work with me to give me a payoff or help me through selling her car. They are not pleasant, loud backgrounds, language barriers and not helpful at all. Don't ever borrow from them, they don't care about their clients let alone the elderly that are receiving family assistance in their final days on this earth.

I purchased an audi q8 prestige from carvana which uses bridgecrest for financing. Ive had the car for a year now and own my own business. I called them to let them know i was going to be 7 days late for the first time since having the loan. Then proceeded to tell me that instead of my normal payment of 1,262 a month that i would now be paying more interest that would accumulate to 2,436 dollars i then said to the customer service woman that math doesnt make any sense and i would like to speak with a manager. She "why" i said does it matter i want to speak with a manager she proceed to say "i can transfer you to another department" so this back and forth goes on for over 20 min of me simply asking to speak with a manager to get to the bottom of this becuase nothing she was saying was making any sense. She finally connects with a manager who proceeds to tell me that the previous woman i spoke with was completely incorrect and what she said was basically a fat lie. Then i said i wanted to file a complaint and the manager told me he would speak with her long story short didnt let me file a complaint.

On top of all of this when i checked the remaining balance of my loan nothing has gone down ive paid well over 15k into the loan. When i asked them about this they were not able to give me any information. That seems to be the common denominator with them. No body knows whats going on and no body is able to answer any questions. You have to fight tooth and nail to get a manager to assist you with anything. If you have other financing option go with those DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Now im seeking legal representation to get rid of this car loan and get a new car with a differrent bank. Very shady and illegal tactics they also have multiple class action lawsuits agianst them and bridgecrest has lost the majority of the suits.

Place is like a scam...
December 19, 2023

I got the loan, but when I go to pay it off, it will not allow me to use the online payment to make the payment if it is more than 2K. I called 4 times and talked to the customer service, I just want to pay off the loan in full. They can't take phone payments for more than 2k either. The system will not allow me to make the payment, so in the end I had to send a check in and it added another 64 dollars to my account for interest while they processed my payment. Now I can't make the 64 dollar payment on the website either! F#$Cing waste of my time, they know the online system will not work for the payoff or any additional payments, but hey they keep making interest. Calling doesn't help for making a payment either, unless for this remaining 61 dollars, I want to pay a over the phone fee on top of this interest which I shouldn't owe! Crooks! Time for a class action lawsuit!

THE WORST EVER
December 15, 2023

IF...IF i COULD give them 0.001 rating times negative 10 I WOULD! They are horrible. They are basically a predatory second rate lender. They were the ONLY lender that was available through the company I bought my car from (Carvana). They tell you one thing for the interest rate, but after all of their processing or whatever the interest rate I was financed at was higher than what I originally saw. The company are loan-sharks basically and they harass the (bleep) out of a person on day one after the due date IF you didn't make your payment. They don't offer a grace-period and then the daily accrual of interest is violating to my soul, it should be a crime how they take advantage of buyers. I have bought cars in the past and I never, ever had any problem with the other lenders EVER! If I was late making a payment, there was a grace period and they never bamboozled me and roped me in to a web of deception as Bridgecrest has. I regretfully purchased my car through Carvana during the height of COVID because there were limited dealerships open or cars available that I preferred and I badly needed a car at that time. I believe too that Carvana / Bridgecrest know that the vehicles that they handle/finance are overpriced and there is less likelihood that the car could get refinanced ( at least in my case). I was told the car's value is not worth the refi. My car's value is only 8K and I still owe 14K on it. I got ripped off both ways and I feel like they bent me over and... (shaking my head in disgust). Take this as a warning if you are even thinking about using Bridgecrest for financing...DON'T DO IT!

I bought a 2014 Chevy Sonic through DriveTime/Bridgecrest a couple of years ago. Financial problems made it so I had to reschedule quite a few payments. I've found that they're always willing to work with me on these, and I really appreciate what they do. Also, when I make alternate arrangements, I always do what I say I'm going to do. I think it depends at least a bit on the attitude I have when I call. I'm always polite, friendly and apologetic about missing payments, and I always thank them for their willingness to work with me, and they respond in kind. Very happy with them! And I love the car.

Terrible service
November 29, 2023

I've had my car loan through Bridgecrest for 2 1/2 years. I go into their website today and try to make a payment. When I login it tells me there's an issue processing my request. I call them and they want a $3.95 fee to pay it over the phone. The guy says he logs into my account just fine. I've tried several times logging in and getting that same message. What the F.ck??
