I wish I had seen this earlier, I got my car from Drivetime, and since I was young with new credit, bridge crest made my APR almost 27%! I literally always pay 50-100 more for every bi-weekly payment I have, I've spent over 10k, not including the down payment and I've only gone down 2k. They literally call the second you're late from different numbers too, even tho I pay more, they won't let me change to monthly payments, and the customer service is horrible! One representative told me my apr rate goes down and the other said it doesn't, so I'm still at 27% percent after 1 1/2 having this car which is impossible to pay off before 2026, with the way they pocket all my money for "interest". It's ridiculous. Not to mention drivetime sucks, my car alternator was bad which made my battery have acid come from it, and I had to get both replaced, and they basically told me, "we pass the bare minimum inspections." Also I had the insurance for a deductible of $200 to get it fixed, but I had a friend that did it for less. But Like WTF
For REFERENCE: car was 21.3k, down payment 3k, knocked it down to 18.3k besides down payment I've almost paid 10k, and only 2k has went to principal, and now I'm at 16.1k. They say my APR equivalates to $10 or so a day which should be 300 or so a month, but I put more than that down and the money still goes to interest, it's literally a game and the'yre scamming people.

I am beyond furious, this company F! Cks you over! I just got my car from Drivetime 3 weeks ago. The saleman there got me stuck in a contract where i have to pay 250.56 A MONTH but semi monthly so basically i am paying 500 dollars a month for a USED vehicle that is a 2017 and worth 13,000 dollars. Its my first month if payment i am 6 days late they are calling and harassing me when i have told them multiple times that the salesman lied to me about what my payments would be and i am only able to make the payment in FULL by the second payment due date of THIS SAME MONTH i am already getting threats of repossession on Tuesday. First of all not only did i tell then my situation with DriveTime and the did not care seeing all these reviews BAD REVIEWS about them during a god damn PANDEMIC its insane and i hate that i didnt look at any of these reviews prior to my purchase i am so upset i am so so disappointed. You guys are HORRIBLE and i hope my review helps someone from wasting their time and money through you guys. The threats of repo after a 6 day spand of a first payment blows my mind.

I cosigned for a car with my daughter on a drivetime car. Bridgecrest was the bank and we initially didn't have any issues aside from being told she has to pay every 2 weeks. Well, the car got totalled and the insurance company sends the check just before Thanksgiving. Bridgecrest kept making my daughter pay while they were slow to process the insurance check. So I call Silverrock about the gap insurance and have emails from Bridgecrest and Silverrock about the total loss being started and the Gap insurance to be processed. This is 12/8/21.12/18/21 bridgecrest applies the insurance check to the account, and the balance of $1400 is to be paid by the gap insurance. 1/7/22 I get a credit alert that my credit score has dropped 40 points for a 30 day late from bridgecrest. I'm super pissed and call silverrock about the gap insurance, they say bridgecrest never sent over the paperwork for the disbursement of funds. I call bridgecrest and they say the check amount that was sent and the paperwork are different, so we can't process the gap insurance. I said what's 5he hold up, they need the insurance company to correct the paperwork, but nobody ever called the insurance. So I call the insurance and they have no idea what bridgecrest is talking about but they called them and resent what was sent already. A week later same story, nothing done by bridgecrest. I call everyday for 2 weeks straight and finally it is done, but I ask about my credit with the 30 day late after they got $12,800, bridgecrest says that only went to the principle and you should've kept paying. I'm a healthcare worker and my daughter is a single parent struggling. Bridgecrest got $12,800 from insurance and has the other $1400 coming from gap insurance and hurt my credit as we are buying a house. To all stay away from this company, also all calls routed to Barbados and they could care less what we have going on here.

I generally had a decent experience with Bridgecrest until it came time for payoff.

First ill start by saying, Carvana seriously lacked in providing information. I had no idea who my lender was until I am getting emails from Bridgecrest which I had never heard of before. I called to ask who they are and why they are emailing me, the representative says calls like mine happen often.

I made payments on the car for about 6 months until I found another vehicle at a local dealership and decided to trade in my vehicle from carvana. The dealership sent the payoff check to Bridgecrest and we waited an ample amount of time for the check to be delivered and processed. This is where the bull$#*! starts.

In total I called Bridgecrest about 6 times for updates regarding the payoff as by this time, my payment due date had come and gone and no updates had been made to my account. At one point, about 2 weeks after the check had been sent, a Bridgecrest rep told me I need to make the payment and then get reimbursed for it after the pay off went through. This sounded like something that would never happen, so I didn't do it. After getting the run around from several Bridgecrest employees (including managers) and being told something different every time I called, I got my new dealership involved who discovered the check had been LOST, Bridgecrest just wouldn't admit it. They kept requiring tracking numbers, dates, totals, etc in order to "search" for the check, even though we know they never did. We even had confirmation of the check being delivered and signed for at their office - then it just disappeared. How does that happen?

Fast forward to today, its now over a month since the original check was sent. First check was received by Bridgecrest on 12/2 - today is 1/19. I am required to call in for a "Paid in Full Letter" as Bridgecrest does not automatically send you anything - ever. When asked if I would like the letter mailed or emailed, I chose the email as one would assume it would be faster. Again, I am required to submit a request for the letter and wait 3-5 business days to receive it *if approved. I know this doesn't seem like long to wait, but given the run around iv already endured and being constantly told to wait 10 business days over and over again - I know their time frames are BS and I'm probably going to be waiting another month for the Paid in Full Letter.

I would and will never recommend Bridgecrest to anyone and can see now based off the reviews, I should have done my research as they have like a 1.2 out 5 star rating - and for good reason.

Stay away

Well this company is all around predatory along with Drive Time dealership. So in 2017 we received an auto loan from this company which was a huge mistake. The 2007 Toyota Highlander we purchased was only worth $10,000 probably less because it was used but by the time all the interest was added the total loan was $20,000. That is double or triple of what the car was worth. For that price my wife and I could've gotten a brand new car. But like some idiots under desperate circumstances and being young and dumb we were we accepted it because we couldn't get approved anywhere else and a vehicle was needed. We were also told that after 6 months of paying on time the monthly payment would lower. It didn't but we made every payment on time until my wife went out from work because she had a baby so money became tight because I was carrying all the bills on my one income. But they would not work with us at all. Woke up one morning the car was gone with the car seats and everything in them and when we asked to get our stuff out they told us no not until we pay them. The account ended up charging off because they refused to work with us so we decided to not pay it because how heartless and difficult they were being. Even though they reported the account as a charge off they never sent it to a collection agency. This year which is 2020 my wife and I contacted them trying to settle the debt because they were reporting missed payments on our credit every month for the past 3 years in spite it being charged off. When we contacted them they told us they could settle the debt for $3,125 which they said was 25%. But when we did the math 25% of the remaining balance after they auctioned it off and minus the amount we paid into it was only $1,013. They also refused to take the $2000 settlement amount we offered given the fact 3 years have passed, the car was only worth half of the amount they were trying to get us to pay but because the interest was so high it doubled the price. They would not allow us to speak with a supervisor both times we called and stated supervisors don't take calls only do call backs. The supervisor never called back might I add. They also refused to give us the history of the payments and a copy of the contract that they are trying to charge us for. And to put the icing on the cake when we considered paying the settlement amount of $3,125 they refused to give us a written agreement. We were told that they only make verbal agreement but wasn't the auto loan a written agreement. So I guess I'm supposed to just pay you thousands of dollars just so you can say oh hey we got your money but you still owe us the rest. BIG MISTAKE DEALING WITH COMPANY.
