HELLISH ORDEAL
June 20, 2024

My car purchase from DriveTime on 2-9-2024 and the financing by BridgeCrest has been a HELLISH ORDEAL. I am an independent insurance contractor and on the date of purchase I was still employed for my now former employer and was starting a new contractor job (working in the same industry) six business days after purchase. I received an email from BridgeCrest Underwriting on 2-19-2024 requesting my bank statements in addition to the paystubs I provided on the date of purchase. I called the manager with DriveTime on 2-19-2024 regarding the email that I received from BridgeCrest
Underwriting and he stated that he would contact BridgeCrest and call me back. I received a call from the DriveTime Manager on 2-20-2024 and he stated he talked to someone with BridgeCrest and that I would have to return the vehicle. I asked why and he said because the funding was based off of my now former employer. I advised the DriveTime Manager that I am an INDEPENDENT insurance contractor and I'm contracted with multiple insurance adjuster firms and he stated a second time that I would have to return the vehicle. I offered to provide my new manager's name, phone number, email address, offer letter and he said no and that I need to return the vehicle. BridgeCrest's unwillingness to work with me in this matter was unbelievable. While in training for my new independent insurance contractor job (start date: 2-19-2024) I received a voicemail message from a BridgeCrest Rep on 2-28-2024 stating that it was imperative that I contact BridgeCrest. I contacted BridgeCrest on 2-29-2024 regarding the voicemail message and was told that my car was out for repossession. I can't begin to explain how confused, befuddled and a host of other emotions that I experienced simultaneously. Repossession how could that be, especially given the fact that my first payment wasn't due until 3-01-2024. I have never experienced such anxiety in my life since getting this car. Fast forward to 5-23-2024 as I sat in my parked car with the engine running waiting on my daughter to finish her graduation rehearsal, a red tow truck pulled up alongside of a white Kia Sol in which a man was standing outside of the Kia Sol. The tow truck driver gave the man standing outside of the white Kia Sol a coke and immediately put the tow truck in reverse coming towards me, lowered the hook on the back of his tow truck in an effort to hook it under the front of my car. I reiterate I was sitting in my car with the engine running. I immediately drove forward and then reversed in the parking lot. It was like a scene from a movie. This tow truck driver's conduct was reckless and heedless. I am truly thankful to GOD that my 17 year old daughter wasn't in the car with me when this happened and I didn't hit any of the parked unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot. I was TERRIFIED and was able to maneuver out of the parking lot and immediately drove home. On 6-4-2024 another tow truck driver and the same man that was standing outside of the white Kia Sol at the event center on 5-23-2024 showed up to my daughter's practice location in an effort to tow my car. However, the driver was in a regular pickup truck and the other driver was in a black Dodge Charger. In my vigilance I recognized the other driver and immediately got in my car and left. If I wasn't vigilant the outcome could have been a lot different. Not to mention the humiliation it would have caused me and commotion to all of those present. I have made all of my scheduled bi-weekly payments to BridgeCrest, BridgeCrest has accepted and credited all of my payments but there was still an active REPO order for my car. My last scheduled bi-weekly payment was 6-7-2024 and my next scheduled bi-weekly payment is 6-21-2024. I have NEVER EVER EXPERIENCED anything like this in my life. I have had other vehicles but NEVER anything quite like this. This has been a very stressful time for me. I have been fearful of leaving my house, having to walk to the store to get groceries and other items for my daughter and I and pay for an Uber back home. Yet I have a car in my garage that I am making payments on.

Incompetent representatives and managers
July 21, 2023

I purchased a vehicle thru Carvana which was completely wonderful. The financing went thru Bridgecrest which I thought at the time was great. I was told at the time that I could change my due date after the financing had been completed. I contacted Bridgecrest in April 2023 to change the date from the 9th to the 25th. The agent had all of the information and allegedly processed the date change for May. I get a voicemail on May 10th that my payment was late. I call Bridgecrest and am told that when the date change was done, I was to have called back 10 days later to confirm the date change. WTF? The agent didn't tell me this at the time I made the initial call and who does that anyway? I asked again the date change and the agent processed my request and stated that I would need to call back in 10 days to confirm the change. I then made the payment for May and the agent told me that the next payment would be due June 25th, but that I would need to make sure that I called in 10 days. I called back on May 20th to do the confirmation and was told that was all that was needed. Then on June 10th, I get another voicemail stating that my payment is late. Again, WTF?! I called Bridgecrest and was told that even though I did the confirmation call, since I made a payment in the middle of the date change, that the date change was denied. I was transferred to a manager and she "explained" their process to me. I then asked how we could get this done without having to make 10 more calls. She then stated that she was processing the date change and no follow up call would be needed. I told her that I needed to make my June payment and didn't want my request to be denied from a "middle of the process" payment. She told me that it would not. Guess what? It is July 21st and I got a call stating that my payment was 12 days late. This infuriated me. I immediately asked to speak with a manager. I was told that the request was denied due to a "middle of the process" payment. I had some choice words and at that point we mutually decided to end the conversation.

By far, Bridgecrest is one of the worse financial institutions I have dealt with.
February 23, 2023

By far, Bridecrest is one of the worse financial institutions to do business with. I have two accounts with Bridgecrest. Yes, upon the completion purchase of a car and signed contract, it's the responsibility of the individuals to make payments. However, every once in a while we are faced with some hard times that may result in payment delinquencies. However, I would hope that one would think being with a company for over four years with two accounts, Bridgecrest, the said company will get to know me as a customer.

So, my daughter's car got picked up from the house in the middle of the night (like thieves crawling). I was told the payment was returned by my bank, but no one reached out to me. When I checked, the funds were in my account. I quoted a reinstatement fee of $1700. After a couple of days, I called Bridgecrest to see if I can make a partial payment, and I was told NO.
After about four days, I called and was quoted approximately $2150 for reinstatement which included transportation fees and of course I am not aware that I am paying to get the car transported to an auction in Orlando. At least I was able to split the payment (they will not let money get away)
So, prior to actually realizing that I was being mislead and misinformed, I decided to pay the $2150. After the payment, I was given a number of where the car was, because of course it's not safe to give a physical address.
Okay, so I called the said number the next day because it was already after business hours. My son also looked up the number and it was revealed that the repo company is in Homestead, about two hours drive. I am thinking, that's feasible, providing that I have already made the payment. I was told by that co. The car was not in their lot. Rather, I was asked "Are you picking up your personal items?" RED FLAG.

I called Bridgecrest and updated them about this. I was given a SECOND number for where the car was, in Lakeland FL. I called the said number and was informed that the car was not at that auction in Lakeland. So now, I am finding out the car was already processed for auction, hence that's where that TRANSPORTATION fee is coming in. Inadvertently, I paid to take the car farther away from me. Stupid customers we are, have to absorb the costs. The kind woman in Lakeland suggested that I asked Bridgecrest for the towing company's number instead, because they sure didn't have the car.

I called Bridgecrest again, and by now we are into three hours of phone calls with no direct information nor the willingness to help me to get the exact whereabouts of the car.
I was finally informed by a Michelle that the car was in Orlando ( about 5 hours away). I asked to speak to some form of manager, at this point I was beyond frustrated and upset. I was transferred to a Danielle. Now Michelle had said she would looked into my account and recorded conversations (you know the ones that are recorded for QUALITY purposes) to consider gettingthe car to a closer location. When I didn't hear from Michelle, I called about two hours before they closed, and got Danielle who is an executive in the same department, CUSTOMER RELATIONS.
To make a long story short, all I got was plenty of "sorries" from people with titles in CUSTOMER RELATIONS at Bridgecrest.

Now Michelle didn't guarantee any results of getting the car closer to me then Orlando. But, I had hope because it would be the least human decency thing to do after they fail to provide accurate information or a transparent form of communication.
So, the Orlando number, I called, I got a message "the person you are trying to reach has a voice mail which has not been set up yet." Mind you, it supposed to be a place of business. The last person I spoke with at Bridgecrest was a Cassandra with the same "sorry" response and nothing else. I have that experience with Bridgecrest last year with the other car they picked up while I was away doing final arrangements for a loved one. They don't care!

So it is February 23rd, and I was informed that the car can't be sold until the 26th. However, it is seems like I am going on a goose chase with the lack of transparency. I am a mother of three and a teacher, I will not recommend Bridgecrest to anyone in my circle to do business with.

Thanks for NOTHING Bridgecrest

Rip off and horrible customer service
May 31, 2022

Would gove them 0 stars of I could. I nade payments on time until I lost my job because of covid. After that I made payments when I could and when i couldn't i called to let them know when a payment was coming. They seemed at first to be understanding but then the previous payments "disappeared". I was behind only $500 and planned on paying that when I got paid from the new job. When I went to make the $500 payment, all of a sudden I was behind $1500. Even though I had proof that it was only $500 (bank statements of all the payments made) they pretty much said, in their regular rude condescending tone, that their records said I was behind $1500 and their records were NEVER wrong. Apparently my bank statements and the bank itself was wrong lol. They had someone come in the middle of the night and repo the car. Didn't even tell me like the law states that they were scheduling a repo. Just came during the night when I was asleep. Would have been nice to know so I could have gotten my stuff out of it. I don't want the car back since I was overpaying for it anyway, like most people do at Drivetime, and apparently helping the company line their pockets with extra cash with the payments that "disappeared". Some of the stuff in the car was not even mine. One belonged to my old job at the Sheriff's Department that I was getting ready to turn back into them. They of course did not care. I guess stealing from people including cops is ok for them lol. This company needs to be shut down and they all need to lose their jobs. Maybe then they will know what it's like for their customers and have to deal with a**hole debt collectors. Maybe even get their cars repoed. Usually dont wish bad on people but these a**holes need to know what it's like for us "peasants" (what they talk to us like)

Worst company ever, Seriously, worst in history
February 8, 2022

I have to laugh at the code of conduct I have just looked through because EVERYTHING it states that they do good I literally got treated the EXACT opposite. 2 months after I purchased my car I had a MASSIVE heart attack and I was out of work recovering for 2 months. Of course I got behind on my bill and I tried to make Carvana/Bridgecrest my first priority when I was back up on my feet. I was not able to set up a modification because I hadn't paid on the car for 6 months but they would help me set up payments... literally every single CS rep I spoke to lied to me and had a different story from the last but I begged, pleaded and borrowed to get these payments caught up. I was getting there too, ALMOST THERE... from 10/7 to 12/24 I was able to catch up by $1,903. When I called in on 12/24 I was ready to make a $400 pmt towards the car, the CS rep says great news you only need to pay $307 and we can finally send you over for a modification. Check your email or bridgecrest site in a couple of days you will have docs to sign. A couple of days later a different rep calls and lets me know the first rep submitted it incorrectly and she had to redo it, she asked me 1/2 of the questions again and same thing check in a couple of days. Couple of days later I check as I was instructed and nothing, not even anything showing it was in review so I call and get told that I was NOT eligible because I was short $65 of being paid to 6 months. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Remember I had $400 to pay a week ago and was instructed NOT TO. Yep, I lost it. I have been kind and polite and WORKED MY *** OFF AFTER A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK to make sure it was taken care of and you're screwing me over like this. I spoke with a manager who very reluctantly agreed to "speak the the modification" department to see if there could be an exception for the $65, after all YOUR EMPLOYEES, 2 OF THEM lied to me and caused this issue so you should honor it! You would think. A couple of days went by and of course NOTHING back from the manager so I call back to be told you are *** out of luck. Not to mention, this "code of bs, we treat everyone with respect BS" I had a MANAGER tell me, not only do my reps NOT have to be accountable for their lies and bs, but NOW you have another pmt due the next day and you must make that before we will review you again because apparently you are NOT out of your hardship yet or you would be able to make your pmt. NO RESPECT AT ALL! I JUST MADE ALL 3 PMTS IN 3 MONTHS minus $65 because YOUR PEOPLE APPARENTLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO ADD OR SUBTRACT and they definitely get paid to lie and scam people. So as of the 5th, my car has gone back up for repossession. Carvana wasn't actually bad to deal with personally but the fact you associate yourself with Bridgecrest and actually allow them to service you, you are just as guilty of being lying thieves as they are. And you lie about taking customer complaints because I tried to call and speak with you about bridgecrest and their behavior and you promptly referred me back to them. I would be FIRED ON THE SPOT if I spoke to my customers the way they do and gave inaccurate information and I would NEVER lower my standards as a decent human being to work for them. TERRIBLE, AWFUL, THIEVES! And you should all be standing in the unemployment line begging for your next meal and have some humility about yourselves...

WOW, LOOK at all the negative reviews. Lol This is an honest and truthful review based on my per exp
December 20, 2021

I have dealt with Bridgecrest for approx 3 years now, My payment is set up to be automatically drafted bi-weekly at 231.76, and in almost that 3 years, My wife and I have never missed a payment, "Until here lately" we had a little financial issues, but I called bridgecrest to get a deferred payment, but was told they save that for when your in desperate need, so I set up an arrangment, If you don't pay what you say you will, they will call you several times a day, but hey, who's faults that? Mine for not following through, but all i do is call back and they set up another one and don't call anymore, unless i don't pay what i say i will again, "That's happened twice" lol but i called today and set up a new one, this time i'l follow through and get caught up, My financial problems will be solved by next payment, The thing about bridgecrest is, if you say you will do something, do it, if not, they will call and call and call, and they have the right to, especially if you are avoiding their call, which i don't, I always call back, and I always pay something towards what i owe, even if it's a little, then i call them and get it straight, they have always helped and set it up, Thing is alot of people will leave bad reviews because they think they should be catered too like they call the shots, well you didn't finance bridgecrest, bridgecrest financed for you, so you should do your part or suffer the consequences, If you can have your payment drafted bi-weekly, make it a priority for your car every 2 weeks, then you will be fine, but a lot of people use the coronovirus as an excuse not to pay, then when it don't work, BAM, they get pissed and theirs your bad review about how horrible they are, Now this is a truthful review and based on my personal experience

It is what it is on etc.

Ok I bought the car for my wife 2yrs ago, the car was wrecked 4 times total but still has less than 66 thousand miles so they still put it on the market! That wasn't the problem, less than two wks the car has problems with the abs system and everytime we took it to the shop, they found no issue! So my wife kept it until someone ran into the front of the car last yr and messed up the front of it! So she wanted to trade it in, they refused to let her, so she said she no longer wants the car, so by me being a cosigner I decided to put it in my name... It's not possible to reregister the car when you making payments on the car! You will have to refinance it, I tried so hard... Impossible, to do and if you are a cosigner, you have no say so over the car! Your job is to make sure that the other person make the payment or you will have to pay it... even if you make any payments, it's still the other person car! It was a total of 4 months behind and so I decided to just go and make payments on it and keep it, even though we at a crisis, no work no job no money I fought to play catch up on the note! Last payment I sent was a total of 350.00 so I was told it will keep the repo away for exactly two weeks so I suppose to make my next payment on the 1st of January, by January 3rd by 8pm... Car gone Sunday evening and I just realized even if I paid it, they still was picking it up because I have no legal right to the car I'm just a cosigner! Bottom line don't be a cosigner because it's basically saying u nothing but a payment! I kept talking to them always answer the phone! The truth is they already know that I can't afford to go to another place because if you're there... your credit is bad so all of their cars are junk! They will sell u a car seriously! But u will pay for 4-6 yrs for a car there no matter what they say, and honestly, u at a point that have to have a ride! It's not worth it... A $10,000 car in 4-6 yrs is now $30,000 but I need a car so interest is the 1st 2-3 yrs. Then you paying on the car. Bottom line don't use bridgecrest as a loaner... If u buy a car, find your own loaner

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE WITH THESE EVIL PEOPLE
September 28, 2020

I bought a Chrysler Town and Country with Bridgecrest in 2018 because my severely disabled child needed a van that would be easy for him to get in and out of. I had this van for 2 years now... it has been a nightmare! A week after the van came home the tail light went out. Even if you change the light it doesn't come back on, the alternator went, the left rear window will not roll down, the passenger window does not stop rolling down, the radiator had to be replaced, the heater hose assembly was replaced twice, the car constantly overheats no matter how many times it's been to the shop, and finally the entire transmission blew, then their also crook company Silver Rock warranty company only approved a used trans to be put in by of all crap places MIDAS. My family has spent thousands of dollars on this POC and all it does is break down! Between Drive Time and Bridgcrest I dont know who's worse... Drive Time for selling Lemons to hard working people knowingly and Willingly or Bridgecrest charging $ 439 a month for a car that literally lives in a shop. When you speak to them they dont care they want that money they don't care if you had 2000 worth of rental car feed from their lemon they want it and will destroy your credit to get it. This company and drive time should be Investigated by the government for fraud! DONT GO TO DRIVE TIME OR ANY DEALERSHIP THAT USES BRIDGECREST I HAVE A LOAN FOR $******* ON A VAN THAT IS WORTH $3000 ON KBB. I have ******* left to pay save yourself the pain and anguish do not use them! Anyone that works for this company should be ASHAMED to work for these dirty crooks who will STEAL THE MONEY RIGHT OUT OF YOUR CHILDRENS MOUTHS KNOWING THEY SOLD YOU A LEMON... DISHUSTING!
