I get that the top brands are here and it is an iconic store but we need to stop the price mark up for so thing which does not even really exist
The purchasing experience at the store was pleasant but if you have any issues, don't expect any service going forward.
I bought (what we thought was) a very nice sofa in May and after a mere 4 months the cushions were failing and I'm not sure why, couldn't be my 110 lb body! I called the store, lots of back and forth and they sent a specialist out to take a look. He surveyed it and agreed it was defective. Offered to insert foam to help support them but being such a new sofa I was concerned about the overall quality of the piece. I requested a refund based on the defectiveness (sofa had been discontinued) and it was agreed to but in that process of arranging that, mgmt changed their mind and only offered foam inserts. I'm not sure why they went against their word.
Many sofas offer a manuf warranty of a year for fabric and foam which I am looking into. I just don't understand the unwillingness of help from the store, thanks for taking my money Evelyn (sales assoc).
This isnt value city and the reason why I shop at higher end stores, for service if it's needed! Would've been better off at value city. What a waste of money.
I have shopped online at Bloomingdale's for a long time. Free shipping is a plus! I try to buy sale items, since they are an expensive store! :)

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING ONLINE FROM BLOOMINGDALES! Bloomingdales calls me one of their Top of the Line retail customers, and I will no longer be purchasing anything from Bloomingdales. I made the fatal mistake of buying an expensive pair of earrings online for an event that has long passed. They sent me the wrong earrings. I immediately reported this to Bloomingdales and returned the wrong earrings they had sent. They said the earrings were in stock and I'd receive them in 2 - 3 days. Since then I have phoned and written to customer service repeatedly. It's been almost a month and still I have not received the earrings or gotten my money back. And the last phone call I had I was told they were not going to reimburse me for their mistake, nor were they going to send me the replacement earrings. Bloomingdales has treated me rudely and unprofessionally and worse they have pocketed my money and did not deliver the earrings I ordered as promised. I will NEVER order online from Bloomingdales again, nor will I shop with them ever again.
UPDATE: FINALLY a month later, Bloomingdales did the right thing and refunded my money.
Got my order quickly, everything works, thank you.
The employees are polite, all questions are resolved online.
Bloomies clerks are so in love with themselves they could care less about their customers. I have not shopped there in many years.
On February 20,2022 my husband and I went to Bloomingdale's Store on Market Street in San Francisco to pickup a dress that needed some alterations & is now ready to pickup. They gave me a big brown paper bag ( like grocery paper bags) to carry the dress instead of the usual complimentary dress bag that comes with a purchase dress.
I decided to checkout the women shoes department to buy my pregnant daughter extra pair of shoes she can wear as an alternate pair in case the other pair she ordered do not arrive on time for a family wedding we are attending on February 26,2022 at Four Seasons Hotel.
The women shoe department was almost empty. There was hardly anyone buying. Yet no one came to greet me or ask what I was looking for. So I approached and asked a sales person name Clifford Hall to please show me shoes for a wedding occasion. I barely finished my word & he started shaking his head saying Nooooo. I thought he did not understood me clearly so I explained further and said as a wedding guest not as a bride. Still he insisted there was no shoes available for me to buy for a bride to be or a wedding guest? No period! There were obviously hundreds of party occasions shoes I see & when I called him on one particular shoe he said that they only have size 6. He never even asked me my size? This salesperson did not want to sell me shoes period! He was rude, condescending, unprofessional and very unpleasant. I was stunned!
I have a loyalist member with Bloomingdale's and recently pre-ordered an Italian leather sectional that is coming in April that I want to cancel now!
This man's behavior is unacceptable! This review should be -5 star.

I occasionally buy cloths. Quality wise they are good. But need more improvement as their price is high as compared to quality.

Bloomies threw expensive dinnerware in a box for shipment to me, with little packing material for protection. Virtually all items arrived damaged.

I had a Bloomingdale's card for over a decade. Recently, I became more fiscally responsible, so when I realized they were charging criminally high interest of like close to 28% I stopped using the card this past fall. My last charge was for a pair of children's sneakers for $40 in September, and I paid off my full balance in January and cancelled the account. I checked my card, though, at the beginning of my billing cycle in February. Still zero. Covid happened the next month, and it didn't occur to me to check a cancelled account. Well, mid-February they had charged me an "interest" fee of $69. On WHAT I ASK YOU? On the Converse sneaks from September? On a paid-off balance? I didn't see the interest charge and just a few days ago, I get a letter from Bloomingdale's informing me they'd sent my "account" to a collection agency. TO THE TUNE OF $138 with a bunch of bogus fees tagged on. I called and paid it off, but the damage was done. They'd tanked my credit score. I had never once been late on a payment in ten years, I'd paid off my account in full. When I called back again a few days later to make sure that this time the account was actually closed, a guy with a New Jersey accent laughed at me and told me to go complain on my blog. This to one of their best customers. Heartless, soulless customer service.
Not to mention, unlike any other high-end online boutique out there- Shopbop, Revolve, Sephora-- they will frequently cancel your order with no explanation. Just a giant, terrible, soulless conglomerate of a company with SO MANY hidden fees and scams. Please save yourself the headache and have nothing to do with them just as I will have nothing do with them from now on.

I had purchased jacket from bloomingdale. After a month the bottoms came out. I had been been purchasing for years but quality has been degrading.
I ordered dark brown and and they sent the color auburn for the product I ordered WHAT A SCAM! I would NOT recommend ordering from their online website!
Coupons work mainly if you have an account. Sales associates often down right nasty. OR very, very nice. But mainly nasty.
Answer: Most people who shops at Bloomingdales either the store or online rarely care to do reviews on products bought. This is not Amazon. You are on your own. Even the stores website keep asking for feedback but they rarely listen. Compare the website, their product description, etc with other similar stores like Nordstrom, IT SUCKS
