Wow. I bought this cashmere wrap from Bloomingdale's for a trip. $198 plus tax. I used it on the flight to Barcelona. I arrived with my white shirt completely covered in fuzz. I looked like my blouse was mostly grey.
I just tried to return it or exchange it. I had my receipt. I was told NO because it did not have all original tags and I do not qualify for a "no tag required" return. I must spend at least $5000 a year with them for that honor. A manager explained this lovely detail to me while I was in the store today.
I've been a great customer but not to that $$$ tune.
I'm no longer a customer at all.
I wanted to provide an update - after 8 months, I finally received a credit on my Bloomingdales's account for the shoes I returned. I never received a note or email letting my know that my account was credited - the credit just appeared in my statement one day. I'm very disappointed with Bloomingdale's overall handling of this issue.
I've shopped Bloomingdales for years, and this is the worst customer experience I've ever had. I bought a pair of shoes several years ago when there was no time limit for returns. I tried to return it to the store back in February 2019 but they refused to accept it because they no longer carried the shoes and said they had didn't have the SKU any longer to do the return. I decided to use the return shipping label to return the shoes to their Cheshire, CT facility.
Never heard back or received a refund from Bloomingdales even after spending a couple of hours on the phone with their customer service to follow up on the shipment. I even tried to call the facility where the shoes were sent for a refund but there was no direct line and customer service could not contact the Cheshire facility either. I even wrote a letter to the president of Bloomingdales in NYC in Sept and have not heard back from anyone.
I guess I will have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since Bloomingdales hasn't bothered to contact me. What a disappointing experience this has been!
I was really excited to find a bag on sale at a price that did honestly seem too good to be true so I ordered it $95 from $350. The next day they cancelled this item in my order and said it was no longer available. It felt like someone had screwed up and listed the bag for cheaper than it should have been. I kept checking to see if the bag would be back online and sure enough about a week later its up there for $185. I tried calling customer service to see if they could honor my order since they had cancelled it since it was "no longer available" but of course because of covid there are no customer service reps to answer the phone. Literally there were no options to connect you to a representative only prerecorded messages.
It's Bloomingdale's, so the merchandise is pretty darn nice, always authentic, and the customer service is excellent. I've ordered from them many times and pretty much got the items I wanted by the next day. The website, however, is another matter. It's a bloated mess, and I am always irritated by using it. Once, I was doing a search, and I tried to narrow down my selection by picking particular aspects I wanted to see (black, low heel, certain designer), and the website took forever to gather the information and display it. And then it got muddled and the website appeared to stall or get hung up. So, my recommendation is don't ask the website to do too much. Keep it simple, get your merchandise, and then get out!
On May 30th 2022 I purchased some shoes and paid an extra $5 dollars to have my item gift wrapped when it arrived it was in a beat up box with ripped up paper over it and not gift wrapped the Customer service representative was very nice giving me a 20% off coupon but ill stick with Saks from now on
I purchased a Johnathan and Drew Kristan rug. I love Kristan rugs I own 3 wool. This rug was a different fabric. My daughter is allergic to wool. Upon receiving the rug it looked nice. Bright and clean. Now the fabric colors seem to have bled into the beige and in some color spots gone all together. The fabric material is all matted and some areas piled. In less than 7 months the rug $1000, looks 100 yrs old, dirty and I'm rolling it up and tossing it. Bloomingdales refused any help not even an exchange but did offer a megar insulting loyalist $50 gift card. I'm done shopping at a store that won't bend their policy for a serious situation. No more Bloomingdale's for me.
I've had my eyes on these boots for awhile but they were out of my price range. Cue Bloomingdale's… as they were on sale plus an additional 25% off. The red suede is stunning in person, amazing quality and even for a tall heel I can walk in them.
I wish I could honestly rate it lower. The worse customer service I've ever been through. Her name was Donna absolutely ridiculous communication skills nor helpful her ID number is *******. The rudest person I've spoken to has no people skills. Was rude very and beyond words can't explain how one can work in that industry and be so un helpful. Would cut me off when explaining what's going on refused to even give me a real resolution.
I ordered a set of decorative pillows on 6/24/22 and have not received them after three plus weeks. Called customer service twice only to be told that they have no control over when the manufacturer ships the item or if it will be shipped at all. What a rip-off! Buyer beware of this company.
Bloomingdale's invented the trick of moving products around and building a store where people got lost, all so they would come in for 1 product and go out with 2.
They create a very pleasant shopping experience.
In the old days department stores had restaurants, sometimes several, always of good quality. Bloomberg continues this tradition.
There are many people from Japan and Tahiti who visit Hawaii to shop and Bloomingdale just opened a store there.
Great place to find quality products. Easy to navigate both the site and physical stores. I love the deals they send in email too which is not the case with most retailers, no useless spam from Bloomingdales!
"I ordered online... They cancelled my order after few days claiming I've requested to cancel. I never did!
Customer Service rep said item out of stock finally and could not fetch supervisor to talk to me... promised they'd call me back. I am still waiting for Call!
If I can give them minus stars I would!
This site has beautiful clothes, shoes, makeup, and accessories. All their products are very well made and great quality. They also have wonderful customer service. This is a great store to purchase from online.
When locking in from my country, a greeting comes on the screen in my native language promising that the amount charged at check-out will be the final purchase price including all local taxes. This is not true. I could only get my parcel after paying local import tax. Bloomingdales of course have not responded to my email to them.
I ordered online last May 28. Until now i have not receive my orders. I called the customer service i think 5 times already but the same explaination. Nobody even bothered to contact me and update with what's happening or status of my order.
They offer good deals for some items with very affordable prices. I compared them on different sites, this one seems to be the best. I haven't received the goods yet, however I had no difficulty placing the order.
Not sure what they are doing different than everyone else but they always seem to have the item I'm looking for and shipping and return process are exemplary. Not to mention their first rate communication.
Other retailers should follow and learn from this customer centric retailer. Their buyers, operations and logistics team should be commended. Thank you!
There are some things that remain the same price no matter what store you shop. That said, when you apply for a loyalty card, you get perks with your purchases, specifically Clinique and other mid-shelf cosmetics. Bloomingdale's also offers free returns. Items arrive in a box outside a very nice inner box with tissue paper and a ton of sample in which you get to choose which ones.
I've been a loyal Bloomingdales customer for over 15 years and have had their credit card just as long. Their online platform isn't great and neither is their mobile app as they aren't easy to navigate or find specific things. Their merchandise also could use a huge refresh. Time to liven things up!
Not only did they bait and switch me with their "Sign up with your email for 15% off your next purchase" but then I placed my order, they charged me for it, and cancelled it an hour later with NO explanation. And on top of that, they've yet to refund me after several hours! Terrible customer service as well.
Answer: Most people who shops at Bloomingdales either the store or online rarely care to do reviews on products bought. This is not Amazon. You are on your own. Even the stores website keep asking for feedback but they rarely listen. Compare the website, their product description, etc with other similar stores like Nordstrom, IT SUCKS
Answer: Just google it and the search engine will take you there.
