Frankly, that should be -1 star.
Bloomex is, at best, below mediocre and, at worst, a predatory business.
I ordered a gift basket from Bloomex to be delivered on April 30. Since the order wasn't delivered and it was showing as "updated", I called the Bloomex and was told that the driver returned the order to the warehouse. Their story is that the recipient wasn't home. The recipient's story is that he was. Whether the Bloomex lied because they committed to more orders than they could deliver or their driver lied because he stopped to get a cup of coffee is irrelevant and certainly not something that a customer should pay for.
So, I 'be requested the full refund from Bloomex as the terms of our agreement were not met.
Bloomex offered to deliver it some other day in the future (on a slow business day, probably). No other date would work for me, or for the recipient. They also offered a store credit, which is a common pressure tactic - it forces the wronged consumer to continue to do business with a business with which they are unhappy.
I insisted to get a refund instead and Bloomex replied that they couldn't do that as per their store policy.
The Consumer Protection Act trumps any store policy. NEVER LET A BUSINESS GET AWAY WITH A STORE CREDIT! You are entitled to a full refund every time the store false advertises, doesn't meet their obligations, or you are not happy with their service or quality of the purchased goods. Consumer Protection Act protects you and your money whatever the store's petty store policy is.:)
As Bloomex didn't meet their end of the agreement and I had never agreed to any other delivery date, we've reached an impasse. Therefore, I submitted a number of complaints against their unfair business practices.
Think about it - If Bloomex didn't refund an unfulfilled order, they de facto stole the X amount of $$ from me. If they get away with it, what stops them from incorporating such practice into their business model and stealing from others too?
Bloomex business practices are borderline criminal.
Paid $5 extra for more flowers ie a fuller bouquet... Paid $18 extra for next day shipping 9am-12pm... Took 3 days to be delivered and it's not worth the $80-90 I paid by any means. JUST Pathetic.

I ordered from Bloomex for my mother and step mom who both live in different cities in Canada. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and the delivery on time.
Great service and careful packaging. The bouquet I ordered arrived on time, and was actually better than pictured. Really pleased, especially considering it was on my friend's birthday.
Excellent service. Online meant that I didn't need to go around various shops to find what I wanted. The flowers were a present and the recipient loved them.
They stole my money, the flowers never arrived, they never gave me some information.
I sent more than 5 emails, never answered me back.

It was really easy to place an order and the flowers were beautiful when they were delivered to my mother in law for her birthday she loved them and it was all at a reasonable amount
Bloomex is one of the best online companies for flowers. I have been cooperating with them for years as a florist and I have to mention that they have an excellent performance.

Very poor service even if the problem comes from them. Not negotiable, no supervisor available to speak to. Are willing to reimburse you for the products but not the taxes nor the delivery charges even if the package was delivered to the wrong person and not at the hour requested on the order! Very disappointed by their behavior. Never again will I order from them.
BLOOMEX.CA is so bad. I had place an order for flowers weeks in advance for Valentines Day. The flowers has been delivered to this day. I contacted Customer Service and they said the driver attempted to call and no one answered as well he said the recipient name was not on the building list. Both are not true. Anyhow to this day no flowers and no refund as they said they tried to deliver. Also Customer service is the worst. I was on the the chat same day with Densel as to why the flowers did not get delivered and he just made a mockery of the whole thing and left the chat room after i complained that the flowers were not delivered and i wanted a refund. He said no refund then i explained that the service was unacceptable and ask for a refund again. He replied sure thing and left the chat room with no confirmation number or anything. Next day i called them and complained and they said they would call back within 24 hrs. No phone call yet. No refund. No flowers. I would stay away from them. Guaranteed flower delivery is not guaranteed.

I ordered flowers for my SIL in Yellowknife but the flowers were never delivered and Bloomex didn't contact me. I contacted them when I discovered that the flowers weren't delivered. After taking several days to "investigate", they informed me that Yellowknife is remote so they can't deliver flowers but they could deliver a basket. (If I wanted a basket, I would have ordered a basket.) They then changed the status of my order back to paid. If they don't deliver to Yellowknife, why did they take the order? Once the took the order, why didn't they contact me when they decided they couldn't deliver the flowers? Once I contacted them, why did they not give me an immediate refund?

If I could give a negative star it would be a 10. Flowers were nowhere near what they were advertised, communication was sent by a robot I am sure. Went from no responsibility to several ways to make amends. All I want is a refund. It was an embarrassment to have friends receive what should have been a nice C'mas present.
I followed up with the company... the initial response:
Dear Cathi, we were sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with what was received. Upon having reviewed the pictures sent to us we were able to determine that the arrangement you received was in accordance with our policy. While we understand the importance of having the selected arrangement delivered as described, unfortunately, certain issues may occur in the event of stock fluctuation. The florist did maintain the style and color scheme of the arrangement. The arrangement seemed quite lovely and the flowers were fresh. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Bloomex Team
I think not. A refund was requested. Nope. Run. Do not use this company! Bloomexsucks is a well used Face Book site with many more horror stories. Do your research.
I ordered a wreath for my mum's funeral, the flowers were bright and fresh, and the colours were perfect. It was delivered on time and looked beautiful. She would have been very pleased with it!
Have used Bloomex on a number of occasions and found them to offer a great service. The local florist who delivered the final product must have done a good job as great feedback from recipient.
This is the 5th time I've used your services. Including once to daughter in Switzerland. All have arrived in time and the recipients were delighted. Many thanks
This was probably my fourth time ordering from them. Each experience is always more disappointing than the last. My past orders always varied from the photos online - but this last order was just downright pitiful. I paid the extra price for the oversize option of the Birthday Designer Collection I. The website is very deceiving - they do warn that the orders will differ from the pictures but the difference between what I ordered and what I received is so remarkable that they should just remove all pictures from their website. I ordered these for my mother's 50th birthday... I should have just combined Walmart bouquets for a 1/4 of the price. Again - this is an oversized bouquet? I sent a respectful message to customer service and their response can be summarized as such: "we have a lot of orders and we try our best, the website does say the bouquet will look different anyways; we think its beautiful, we'll try better next time ". If you're looking for cheap budget arrangements, and no regard for customer satisfaction this is the best and most convenient place. But if you're looking for something a little more reputable and of quality - I wouldn't order from here. I have learned to pay the extra price to support local florists who actually care to deliver what they advertise

Answer: No, they do not refund. They send a sorry message and offer you a store credit. However if you had a bad experience I do not think you will try them again to use the store credit, so they do not then compensate at all.
