Horrible! I placed an order for a textbook about three weeks ago and the order said it would arrive in about 10 days. It finally arrived at the post office a few days ago. However, it is now being sent back to the seller because "they don't deliver to PO boxes". Hello Bigger Books: maybe you should state that you don't ship to PO Boxes like every other company! Don't allow the transaction to go through if you're not planning on delivering the product! The shipping was $19 which was shown before the order, but that's ridiculous!
For anyone who needs a textbook, stick with Amazon. It may take longer but you get what you pay for.
Worst site that I have ever used. Waited 3 months and never received my book, ended up cancelling and getting less money than what I paid for. Awful service, it should be made aware that the book is not in stock instead of letting us place the order.
BUYER BEWARE! They will show your item in stock, but you will never receive it, and you may not receive a refund. I had researched this company and saw a few reviews similar to my experience, but saw many others that were great, so I took a chance.
I placed an order for (6) books. I rec'd one, the company cancelled & refunded me for two (after WEEKS), I cancelled & rec'd a refund for two. There is one that shows shipped, but when you click on the tracking information, it states that it has never been rec'd by the shipping company. I submitted a help ticket, but they said that the item had been delivered. I asked for proof of delivery. I have not rec'd a response. That was nearly three months ago...
Ordered a book set, waited for email for shipping confirmation, used their chat (chatted with *) to ask for an order status, and was told it was cancelled (not by me) without any explanation other than security.
Bigger Books is quick to take my money when I placed my order but was told that my refund would take 5 days to process. What a crock of $#*!.

I searched for a book on google and found it on BiggerBooks. I ordered the book.
2 weeks later I received an email from SiteJabber asking me to review the book. I realized that I had never received it so I contacted support.
This is the only response they sent back:
"I apologize but your order has been cancelled because we were unable to ship the item requested"
Nothing about a refund, no next steps, no help. I've had to follow up with my credit card to ensure payment is refunded and I also need to go search for that book again.
I was able to purchase a book; however, 10 days later I still do not have an update about the book being shipped. I called and was told they don't know when it would ship. I feel as though BiggerBooks is happy to take my payment for the purchase, but with no status updates. Are they hoping I'll forget? Maybe don't charge my card until you have this information?
I never received a notice of cancellation and had to check my account to learn that my order had been canceled.
I've never ordered from Bigger Books before and the purchase transaction was seamless! Had to find a good quantity of textbooks for a class that was added last-minute. Dealing with multiple vendors is rough but my BiggerBooks transaction was easy. Thank you BiggerBooks!
I placed order for two books. One arrived already and the other has no update after it went to USPS. This was all placed in one order, Class starts tomorrow and don't have the book
Ordered over 2 weeks ago and paid for expedited shipping. Still haven't received it and when I ask for a refund they say it's been shipped but can't provide a tracking number or an ETA on when it will be sent out.
While shopping for my college textbooks I stumbled across some other non-fiction books that I had been meaning to read, one of them for only $0.98! I added them to my order and they came in lightly used but overall good condition. The books were packaged well, and when it's time to return rented books they send you a shipping label.
On 12/22/21, I used bookscouter to price compare an ebook. I had the buy option selected, and the cheapest price belonged to biggerbooks. I clicked buy, and it took me to the shopping cart in biggerbooks. I checked out and nowhere did it say this was a rental (see attached). I called biggerbooks to ask for a refund or an $8 price match. Initially, they refused to do either.
Update: on 12/28/21, a biggerbooks social media specialist saw this review and apologized explaining the prior customer service rep did not fully understand their return policy. She refunded my entire amount.
I would be happy to purchase from here again.
I was told this site was legitimate and had textbooks at a reduced rate but I can't believe how wrong that was. I ordered a textbook a month ago and never received it, so I spoke to customer service for them to tell me that it was shipped and it's my responsibility if I never got it! They told me I can't even get a refund for something I never received! This is absolutely unacceptable, and I can't believe that there is no way for me to get a refund when I spent well over $100 on something that was never even delivered!
The book arrived in good shape, but it is not what I was expecting. It is worthless for my research, so I have sent it back. There is absolutely no way to get in phone contact with Bigger Books, which I consider as a sign of lacking in customer care. Yes, I was able to "chat" with someone eventually, but even that feature was hidden. It was rather obvious that the representative really did not want to help me with my issue, but she reluctantly did in the end. I paid full price for the book I returned. Maddeningly, Bigger Books sent me an email coupon or notice of the same book being 50% off one day after I received it. All around, this was not a great experience!
I gave four stars because the textbook I got was way cheaper than any other sites I looked at and they have fantastic customer service! However, the looseleaf textbook was in kinda poor condition. Some of the pages are ripped or folded which is okay I just wish it was in better condition but you get what you pay for I guess.
I ordered a book from Bigger Books for an upcoming trip to Florida, and the website said that it was in stock and would be shipped. Subsequently, I received an email stating that they did not have the book in stock and were awaiting it from their distributor. I have sent two emails requesting an updated date for shipping; both emails have been ignored. No response whatsoever! I would NEVER have ordered this book from Bigger Books if I had been made aware that it was not available. Do you call this good "customer service"?
I never received the book I ordered back in December. Two emails to Bigger Books with no response. I now have to go to the bank to get the charges reversed. Will never use them again.
After my review, we magically received the book we had been missing. Lindsay said they have no record of my emails, but I responded directly to an email from them asking about our order, I've attached pictures.
The email from Bigger Books provided a link to click on to submit feedback about our order. I responded with this link, order number, problem, etc. twice. It tells you someone will get back to you within 24 hours. That never happened. Apparently the link provided by Bigger Books for feedback doesn't operate properly.
I ordered a book and paid for the expedited shipping cost, which was supposed to be 1 to 5 business delivery. After 6 business days, I started a chat with the Customer Support agent, which took me 1 hour to rich the agent out. They said that there was a delay from a distributor, and the book was not even shipped at that time. When I asked who was responsible for the money I paid for expedited shipping I get this response from the agent:
"Again, I do apologize but this is the process. I have explained it to you numerous times and there is nothing further that I can do. A request to cancel has been sent, you have been advised that there are no guarantee and if it is not cancelled in time, you will need to return the item for a refund. Is there anything else I can assist with?"
My advice, Do not rely on this bookstore.
I attempted to order a textbook through bigger books as it was the cheapest price. I paid for expedited shipping so I could receive the book in time. However, they decided to cancel the order and not send some sort of email or notice informing me that they canceled the order. No reason was given, just simply a cancellation. I only figured it out after I was wondering where my book was. I received a confirmation email saying they will send an email when it was shipped. I had to thoroughly dig to find out it was cancelled. I would never buy from this site even if their textbook was half the price of the next cheapest one.
When I ordered my used book I received a clean copy, it arrived fast without a huge shipping fee, the book was a great price.
