Theft!

Apparently I am late to this game as I see many other people have been victims of theft from this company. I just didn't notice it because I haven't shopped on their site for quite awhile since most of it is utter crap... but I did have over $100 in credit that disappeared and when I checked on it through customer service yesterday, I received the same email everyone else got - SOL, not getting your money back. Outrageous! I never even received an email about restructuring nor a warning that store credit would not be available after a certain date - otherwise, you could be sure I would have spent it. That is too much to lose! Still, others, I see, are worse off by losing much more. This is, or should be, illegal and I don't understand how they are still able to operate under the same name like nothing has happened. How have their Facebook page and any other sites with their name not been flooded with complaints for all to see? No one should be shopping with them, they are crooks!

I wish I had read these reviews before I placed an order it's been 2 weeks I still haven't received my partial order. They have issued a refund of one item due to it being unavailable. My thing is why sell something make some one wait and anticipate and then two weeks later say oh we don't have it anymore. Customer service was of no help. Save yourself some time and just go to a reputable website or actual store it may be a few more bucks but well worth it by saving yourself a hassle

Typically, we ship orders at 2-3 weeks as we do not keep stock in inventory. We don't hide this fact, in fact, we post it everywhere so our customers are well aware of the delay. While we know it can be long at times, we hope our great savings and great brands make up for the extra time.
We’re also very sorry to hear we were unable to fulfill your recent order. We place demand purchase orders with our vendors at which point we know exactly how much inventory to order for our members as a whole. We charge your card when your order is processed as these orders are placed directly with our suppliers. This is one of the ways we are able to offer you such discounted prices. We only authorize our suppliers to send us their merchandise once the event closes.
As a private shopping club, we're ordering select merchandise on your behalf. Working this way helps us secure great prices and selection for our members on an ongoing basis, which is what BTR is all about.
Upon receipt of your order, our suppliers ship the purchase orders to our warehouse for inspection and inventory confirmation of the merchandise. Once completed, we then prepare to ship to our customers. With the nature of our business model, we unfortunately do find out on the rare occasion that certain items are unable to be shipped to us. It is never our intention to cancel an item or an order in full and a refund will only be issued as a last resort.

Are you still stealing money from customer's credits? I have contacted them numerous times and no reply. That says it loud and clear to avoid dealing with these thieves. Hate to give it even 1 star but it is mandatory for the review.

I am still awaiting a refund from an order placed January 22! It is June -- I have been through seven customer calls, three emails and still no refund on product that never arrived-- Don't order from them-- according to fashion news websites, they are going out of biz...

These people are unethical as the day is long. I found out about them via a "recommended site" ad on Facebook. There were a couple of pairs of Ugg boots in the accompanying photograph and I wanted to have a look, and maybe even, make a purchase. I signed up with my name and e-mail address. Once in the site, guess what? Not one pair of Ugg boots. Bait and switch. I wish I'd read the comments first. There were a few on FB who'd mentioned that they too had not seen any Ugg boots.

In response to my 1st e-mail from them thanking me for joining, I explained that I would forward any future correspondence from them to my spam folder. Even as I have done so, their e-mails still come through. I'll just keep forwarding them to spam. I'll also definitely be sure to spread the word about this rancid company.

Please try one of the legit companies out there (e.g. My Habit, Ideeli, Zulily, Gilt, Amazon, etc)

Without a shadow of a doubt this company is fraught with scam. "After the fact," I've read other negative reviews here and on other sites and agree with many. Based on the merchandise I received, they are definitely selling fakes. The long shipment time is owing to the fact that the item is shipping from Asia. Save yourself the headache on inevitable displeasure and avoid this site at all costs. I am now only worried about how my credit card info will be misused in the future.

Selling counterfeit items to our members would definitely hurt our business and this is not the type of reputation we want to have.
It is stated on our website under the FAQ’s and checkout page that it takes 2-3 weeks for us to receive the merchandise in our warehouse and could take up to an additional week for the package to arrive at your doorstep. Therefore, orders can take up to 1 month to be delivered.

Consumers and Non-Consumers of BTR beware! Today, they just sent scam e-mails with account balances to people who have never shopped or even heard of this company before. I tried calling their service number but the line was busy. I shared my complaint on FB and this is what they wrote back "we apologize for any confusion. This email you are referring to was worded incorrectly. You do not owe us any money. We just placed a credit into your btr account for you to shop with, you should see the credit on the left hand side of your account once you sign in. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact customer service at *******660. Thank you"
First of all, I never opened an account with them. Second, is this some kind marketing scheme to get us to shop their site by giving us back a "credit."? Third, the e-mail itself had some terrible grammatical and spelling errors. This is such a major turn off. DON'T SHOP HERE!

This is the worst company around. They take your money, do not deliver what you bought and lie about it. They don't pay their vendors and that's why we get no product - they should be put out of business - they are thieves

Order a pair of shoes in April 2016 where were too small so I returned them. I got the store credits ~$450. I used the store credits+$200 to buy a purse in June. I never received the purse. I kept calling and talked to 5+ customer service representatives. They always asked me to wait 1 or 2 more weeks. On 12/7/2016, they wrote me an email saying that they are unable to ship my item and will return my original method of payment. I have not seen the $200 refund. In addition the store credits disappear as they said those were from the prior company which went bankrupt... Stay away from buying anything from BTR...

Beyond the Rack filed for bankruptcy Mar. 30/2016. If you order you will not get your merchandise or your money back. 4 Months later, and 2 files claimed, I'm still waiting. Even paypal and M/C won't help out. You've been warned.
UPDATE: Paypal did rule in my favor, and I was able to get my refund - I got lucky. This was my last purchase with BTR

STAY AWAY!

Horrible customer service. I ordered 5 items on Oct. 31. It is now Jan. 17 and I still haven't received 3 of the items that were supposed to be shipped anywhere between Dec. 8-13.

I sent exactly 3 emails through their form submission and NEVER got an answer. On top of that I've been trying to call and there is a 30 mins wait. Ironically they suggest to send an email!

Their chat is no longer operational either.

Worse company I've ever dealt with.

There are many shops within beyond the rack. Generally the service is excellent, prompt. And helpful. The products range from shop to shop, but generally coming from China. The prices are reasonable for lower end goods, but beware of the higher end items, do comparison. The return policy is very good, fair and easy.
Update: since I last posted a review the site has undergone some changes in its shipping, now it takes close to a month to receive most orders, especially clothing coming from China. Also the customer service is not so prompt. Usually 3-4 days may pass before the response, which is very vague, stalling for time I think. Otherwise the return is still decent and simple, but is only credit.

Beyond the Rack is absolutely the worst — terrible customer service, lies to customers. I have ordered once from them, and now a month later, have been told the item hasn’t even arrived at their warehouse — although they sent me an email last week to say it HAD arrived and was on track to be delivered.

I already put in a claim with my credit card company for fraud and non-receipt of items. I would like to tell everyone to avoid Beyond The Rack at all costs.

We do apologize that we are late in shipping your order. Usually, we ship orders at 2-3 weeks. At times we do run into delays with our vendors that are beyond our control, however, we will always send you an email to keep you updated in regards to your order.

First time buyer and last time buyer! Ordered merchandise on 4/24/14 and after several e-mails was told package was damaged and sent back to "corporate office".
Was told I had to contact the shipping dept., blah, blah, blah. Customer Service person named Caleb never really read the whole e-mails from me because I asked for a Refund and he kept talking that he was researching for the merchandise etc.
Then an e-mail came saying they found the error and it would take 10-15 days for items to arrive, which I had already waited over one month. A real solution finally appeared on 5/29, they refunded my money! Bad communication, bad service and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

If you want something from this company - be prepared to WAIT and then never get an answer from customer service. Finally received half of my order and the item was stained! Do not buy from them - stick with bluefly and hautelook

I have been shopping with beyond the rack for the past 2-3 years. I'm am unsure if the site is under a new owner, but over the past year, my opinion has plummeted. My orders have gone from 2-3 week delivery to over a month in waiting time. Their shipping faq's still say "2 - 3 weeks" for delivery, but as soon as your order has gone past that point, you account notification changes. It says you items are "still on track", but it still take another 2 weeks to receive them. When I speak with a representative, they do not take responsibility. The most they offer me is $10 credit.

I am very disappointed, the shipping times have been dishonest and they no longer refund orders. I'm hoping to use my credit as soon as possible and cut ties with the website. I will not be recommending it to any of my colleagues anymore

Ordered an item on January 25,2016, it is March 20,2016 today and the item is still "on track" and they are still asking me for 2 more weeks (for a second time! Mind you). Which part of the world do you think this comes from? I've placed some orders from China since January 25 and they all arrived in 2 weeks absolutely free of charge. Are you still wandering why North American economy is not-so-slowly taken by China?
This is what happens when you have a bunch of "administrative personnel" that does not produce anything, just wants to make money from reselling what other people have produced, and doesn't even manage to do that right. They have absolutely no clue of what is going on with their business and I would strongly recommend that you stop wasting your time with joke-companies like this one.

God, If I had only known... been waiting for over a month to get an item now- complaint department sucks- they just turn it back on you. I have to wonder if they even have the merchandise they promised. I am over 150 dollars out of luck and angry as hell- don't order anything off this site.

Items tend to be good, for the most part, but I received a burberry polo that appeared to have some discolouration along the front. I do not know where BTR receives it's stock, but I would not be surprised if it was factory seconds or damaged stock.

I attempted to purchase a shirt previously and after paying was told that the item was out of stock and given a $10 credit apology.

The biggest issue with BTR would be their shipping services. Very long wait times and irregular use of carriers.

Its worth checking out for possible good deals, but I would recommend examining your purchases carefully. Could be hit to miss.

Beyond the Rack is not paying their Vendors, we are one of them.

We have product that Beyond The Rack customers have ordered waiting to ship sitting on our loading dock - however they are on credit hold as their accounts are way overdue.

When we call or email (buying office, accounting or executive management) nobody answers or responds - there is complete "radio silence" from Beyond the Racks end.

It is really unfortunate, as in the four years we have supplied them, we have had a great relationship. We would be more then happy to try and help them, if only someone would return our emails or calls.
