The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding installation services, product returns, and customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with rushed installations and poor communication, leading to repeated service calls. Customers frequently encounter difficulties with returns and refunds, often citing long wait times and inadequate support from customer service representatives. While the company offers a wide selection of products and some positive experiences with online orders, the overarching sentiment suggests a need for substantial improvements in service reliability and customer care to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

It was my first experience with this company and they are quit smart and know i to deal with new client. They deliver my product on time. Feeling good.
On May 30,2015 I ordered two 24-packs of Duracell AA batteries from Bestbuy.com. The batteries are guarenteed for TEN YEARS. The expiration date on the batteries received from Bestbuy.com said 2024, so I should have had plenty of time to use them. I used them on several different devices in which the Duracells I've used in the past, last about 10 weeks before they need to be changed. These Duracell AA's from BestBuy are only lasting for 5-6 weeks at best and two have actually LEAKED, spilling battery acid onto the terminals and delicate electronics of my devices. UNACCEPTABLE! I wrote a product review, which they NEVER posted and my return/refund was not within their acceptable time frame. Again, the batteries are supposed to last 10 years. I opened the package eight and a half weeks after I received them. I have not stored them under any extremes of temperature. Given that Duracell has always been a reputable product, I suspect that these 24-packs may be knock-offs and not the real thing. If so, Duracell should make sure Bestbuy.com is in fact selling authentic Duracell AA batteries. I will NEVER buy anything EVER again from BestBuy.com. WASTE OF MONEY!
Bought a TV, had it delivered. Sat unopened in my living room because I realized couldn't use one that big. Have 15 days to return. Wasn't going to pay for shipping back to store three (3) blocks away... never had drivers license, so no car. Five days of extreme heat warnings in MN so I put off walking carrying a 32" TV in box. Was 2 1/2 days after the allowed time, when able to walk with box those three blocks... seemed longer, box was awkward.
Got there and was told that I HAD to get money in form of BB gift card... wouldn't return money to my credit card. They didn't care whether or not I would have gotten heatstroke (am 68 yrs) in order to return TV within 15 days. I've sent two emails through website, the first was answered with an I'm Sorry and platitudes... no money back. The second has Not been answered. Hence, I'm here.
I've wasted time on the BB website and can find nothing I need, nor really want. They don't care that I have over $200 I can't use and I won't be forced to buy something just to blow $200. It comes down to BB doesn't want to let go of My money. On Social Security and can't afford to have that much money tied up, yet unable to use.
Will personally never shop Best Buy again.
Specialists don't know their products. In one visit I had the TV representative tell me that Samsung 75" TV was made by Vizio because Samsung USA was going bankrupt. Offered to sell me a different brand to avoid warranty issues in the first 30 days.
In the computer department the young lady had a very difficult time answering my question about the difference between two printers other than one was an HP. We were able to find the information on their website though!
Do your research.
I returned numerous laptops a few due to not being suitable and a couple for other issues. Through my frustration of trying to find the right product the Best Buy (Gateway Langford B. C.) employees were friendly, helpful, professional and displayed great customer service providing me assistance in ultimately finding a suitable laptop. A big thank you to all of you. Tamara :)
Saved me a lot of money that I would have had to pay some other company!
Love best buy and they're site is well put together and I've never had a problem on it
Spend over 3,000 there in an hour on appliances, and when they arrive two of them are broken. Ridiculous! Best buy did nothing. They claim to give you a 30 day gaurantee. But then say they can't get anyone to you within that amount of time so their "gaurantee" is no good. Call the manufacturer! Absolutely ridiculous way to treat loyal customers. They don't have to worry about my family spending anymore money there!
They have transitioned to today's times really well. I am most impressed by their in-store customer service and price matching policy.
Everytime I've been in the store, help is available if wanted. Liked that you can browse without being hovered over. Products are varied and up to date. Salespeople provide options and don't push added services.
As their name describes they are best at best. I had purchased several times from BestBuy and had never issue
I've always been a fan of Best Buy, and even recently I just ordered and online item for in-store pickup, and it went really smooth, also I love the merchandise and the prices, very competitive.
Overall, you can't go wrong with Best Buy, they're great!
Best Buy does a good job of providing reasonable specifications, clear ordering information and suggestions for similar and competing products. The user reviews and the Q+A are useful research tools and answers reasonably well supported. For a lot of consumer electronics the devil is in the details as mfg often make very similar products with different specs. It sometimes needs a trip by users and suppliers to the store to get better info on the actual model on offer. Online data is incomplete. I expect over time the Q+A format will fail as the number of questions increase a better format would be an FAQ format of answers and open questions and a search tool for history.
The Store Pickup part of the checkout can be very painful as items are shown to be available then disappear from the cart while ordering.
I found also items stated not to be in stock were found on the shelf.
I think best buy is trying reasonably successfiully to integrate online and in-store business merging them together with a few rough edges to cleanup.
They have a good supply and choices of things and are very accommodating. I have enjoyed shopping their store and online too! Good quality merchandise and good prices = happy customers!

When I have shopped on line it was by placing an order for an artist from another country. Everyone is always helpful.
I've been shopping Best Buy for Years, and loved them.
My last 3 purchases, (Yes 3, I'm loyal to a point), have been Complete wastes of my time, and money!
I'm a musician, so I have Very specific equipment needs. Having said that, I'll continue.
1) My Laptop. The salesman gave me All the wrong specs, options, and features. I asked about the discrepency in the description, which be blew off as misprints. I Took it home & discovered it was indeed the absolute Wrong laptop for my needs. Truly lacking in Rom, and was Not touch screen. Returned.
2) A stereo receiver which was supposed to have the option of play the speakers, and headphones at the same time. Most every tuner now has a speaker cut off, when phones are plugged it in. Paid $1200. 00, as I needed a powerful, full featured unit. 2 hour after the incredibly difficult setup, I plugged the phones in, and Wha la, speakers shut off. No way to get around it. VERY upset at the colossal waste of time, I steamed back to to return it, for a cash refund.
3) DVD Player with the ability to play MP3, disks. I had a Samsung player, from 2001, that had the ability to play whatever song I needed played, so I can rehears exactly what I need to, on any given day. In other words, if I'm playing song #5, and want to skip to song 61, I only needed to puch, "6-1" into the number pad, and 61 would play.
I asked if they a player with that specific feature. Anything else is useless for my application. He pointed to a brand, and model that he was sure had that feature, As again, not many players have that ability. It's as were able to Audio equipment has taken a massive step back, eliminating such basic features.
Well I got it home, and guess what? Yep, didn't work.
Returned. I should start a running tab on how much gas money they owe me.
I will Never shop Best Buy again. I miss Comp USA, and Circuit City! Frys is my other option. I'll give them a try, because the, "Sales professionals," at Best Buy are useless, putting it mildly, and keeping it G rated.
Ordered a laptop online. An hour later, got an email that my order was cancelled. Along with it, lost a gift card & certificates that were used. Called, and was told my credit card bank had cancelled the order. I called my bank, and they said NO, bestbuy.com cancelled the order. So, they LIED to me. Have already wasted a couple of hours because of this, and I am out the gift card & certificates. Why would I ever want to shop at this POS website again?
Answer: I am sure there is a catch-like a 2 year contract. No one gives you a phone for $1
Answer: All I can say is that you obviously have been very lucky. I was a dedicated customer for 25 years, however, I would do without before I ever spent another dime in a Best Buy!
Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
Answer: Great question. Let us know if you were able to get reimbursed.
Answer: I chose Best Buy tech support because they seemed to offer a good deal on support and I bought my products there. I'll go elsewhere now.
Answer: I dont know? I dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont knowi dont know
Answer: Write a genuine review for a product you buy from there, get upto $25 gift certificate
