I have been a faithful customer of BBB for over 20 years and used to give them 5 stars gladly. Not any more. They now use COVID as an excuse for poor customer service and poor quality products. I purchased a vacuum robot from them which was defective, another defective one was sent as a replacement (or maybe the same one, it displayed the same problem) and now I have been waiting for another replacement and instead I received a refund without any explanation. If you try to call/chat the waiting time is over an hour (70 minutes is now their "standard", in reality it can be more). The email option seems available on their website but if you email you get a response that email is not monitored because of COVID, so you've just wasted your time. So Customer Service is practically non-existent. BBB has become a source of frustration, they will lose their customer base with this attitude. I know I am one of them, I'm done dealing with BBB.
I made an online purchase in June. Both items from this order arrived damaged. When I contact customer service it's always I need to do this and that or no one knows what I'm talking about. I have been promised a refund that never happened. The last person I spoke with said it could take 30 days! Funny thing is it only takes one day to take the money from my account. Here we are the end of July still no refund. It is not my problem these products arrived damaged. Never have I delt with such horrible customer service. To top it off when I last spoke with customer service I asked 5-6 times to speak to a manger before she finally put me on hold then comes back to say no one is available. If I do not receive my refund I will be seeking other actions. I am so disgusted with the lack of customer service and competency to even fix the problem in the first place. From the beginning I said I just wanted a replacement which was such a process and for somthing that was not even my fault I had so much responsibility. They had the nerve to ask me to pick up an item I couldn't even lift and bring it back to ups to even begin shipping a new item! I don't want to be contacted by anyone. I want my money back and that is all. I have already replaced the damaged items with another company.
Long Wait Times And When You Finally Get A Person There Totally Useless. Will Never Shop There Again.
Don't know what happened to Bed Bath & Beyond. Going downhill. Returned 4 items have not received a refund after business 14 days after they received the items back. Keep getting excuses from their customer service people who are in another country and don't understand you or do you understand them. I want my money back for the 4 items that you received back in June. Will never order anything from them again online
Recently I ordered a bedding set from that bath and beyond. I received a notification a few days later that my package will be delivered the next day, the next day I was home all day and was actually downstairs in the lobby in the apartment building where I live and received a notification that my package had been delivered, it wasn't delivered because I was there and nobody came to the door and there was no notification of delivery either. It is now 10 days later I still haven't seen a reply from them.
I am out $79, have no way to contact them because all they offer is the return of service and I can't return what I don't have I am very disappointed I am actually very angry the worst service I have ever received ever from any company online
I orders bedding, never was sent delivery status, never knew where it was, was not home one day and they said it was delivered, I never say it, they said well start a refund 8 days later no refund and no one talking to me or answering my message, this place only want to make interest off my money, never order on line with this company they also use fedx the worst delivery company ever.
After ordering a bed from Bed Bath & Beyond, I had selected the nearest store in my area to shop from, bought a bed and requested it to be delivered. After two days I got an email and it stated the bed was coming from California, I was upset knowing I had to wait longer but was also confused because I chose my nearest location to shop from. Since then I have been waiting almost four weeks for this bed to be delivered, after calling every day, I had been promised a refund and also the manufacturer to send out another bed. Since then, I have only been given 59$ out of the 259$ purchase I made. Currently 7/12/20 I still do not have my bed nor a refund, I have requested Devan to pick it up from Fedex a week ago and there has been no status update on this lost item. This is devastating and all the confusion is based off one simple misunderstanding on their site, I THOUGHtT I WAS SHOPPING AT THE LOCAL STORE. I specifically changed the settings to get results in my locals store and I was scammed on a bed purchase without a bed.
I ordered a wall mirror which arrived promptly. However some of the wood pieces are not glued together and there are chips in the paint. I attempted to go online to return and keep receiving a notice that they do not recognize my order #, zip code or email. All of which exactly matches the confirmation email they sent when I placed the order. I called the 800 # and the wait time is over an hour. This is ridiculous. I should not have to jump through hoops to return a defective product.
To say I am disappointed in Bed Bath and Beyond is an understatement. My boyfriend ordered me a vacuum cleaner I really wanted for Mother's Day from the website because I had a 20% off coupon and so it was a really great deal! I was super excited. When the delivery came, I opened the box, and inside was a much more expensive espresso maker. Hmmm. So I contacted customer service and they sent a label to send the espresso machine back, and said once they received it, they'd send the vacuum. I was annoyed that they wouldn't send my vacuum unless they had their other item back but it gets so much worse! I sent the espresso machine back and waited and waited. While I was waiting, I received about 3 confusing emails, which although didn't make complete sense, kept telling me that the vacuum was on its way. So two weeks later, I still haven't received the vacuum. I waited over an hour to text with customer service who informed me that now the vacuum is sold out and on back order. They didn't know when it would be back in stock. I asked for a refund. So now, two weeks after, still no refund! So now we are waiting - again - to text with a customer service rep to ask where the refund is. What a headache! And I still end up without the thing I wanted. So it's basically hassle upon hassle for no reason. And the customer service so far has been beyond awful. I may go to a store again in the future, but no matter what, I will NEVER order from the website again! Just an unpleasant experience overall. I mean, had they shipped me the right item in the first place, I would have the vacuum and be perfectly happy. Instead, I'm STILL trying to get my refund. When I do get it, I will reorder the vacuum from a different retailer. So unimpressed with Bed Bath and Beyond's customer service. Honestly, they really don't deserve one star.
An order was sent to the wrong address and the correct order was not received. No local store could resolve the issue because they said the order was made on line. We were told that the corporate office had to be contacted to resolve the issue. The wait time for a customer service rep was over one hour and their on-line format to resolve the issue was not working. Now the package has to be repackaged and taken to a fed ex office which is extremely inconvenient. Sind part of the package that was not delivered contained a Father's Day gift, the gift had to be repurchased. When the original one arrives (if it does), the item will have to be returned.
I placed a order 5-1-20 2 was later heard nothing couldn't track it could not talk to anyone on the phone I did a chat they said something went wrong with the order they canceled it and re-ordered now it's been four weeks still haven't heard anything on it called the 800 number it took me an hour and 11 minutes to talk to someone only to say it should be shipped in two days it's been three still nothing
I returned a faulty item. They acknowledge they have received it. And that's where any useful information stops. It is well past the time I should have received my refund. When I try to call them I am subjected to hours on hold, only to by hung up on when they finally answer. On-line chat offers no option to actually "chat" with anyone and there are no options for my problem. Repeated emails only get me a tired canned response that is neither helpful or informative. Then they make the issue "solved". I have never had this kind of problem at a store, but given this current nightmare I will question every shopping there again and certainly NEVER on line again.
Went online to buy a vacuum, and saw a great price. Was offered a huge discount if I provided my email address for "future offers" so I bit. Went back to buy the vacuum and the price suddenly went up 30% - totally wiping out the discount. Not only that, I immediately started receiving more than 20 junk emails every day. My wife USED to shop there a lot... I spent my $300 on Amazon.
We are in a pandemic, people lost their jobs and they do NOT honor the old coupons? That is not helping our Jerseyans!
I returned an item on May 19, it is now June 2nd. They already have the return, but refuse to issue a credit to purchase something else because they are "Behind" 10 to 20 days? That is def not stepping up to the plate during a crisis and not good customer service. Plus, do not even bother trying to call - my battery died while waiting to speak to a customer service rep which is approx a 45 minute wait time.
Bought the Wamsutta (may have spelled wrong) 725 count in Mauve flat sheet about a year ago. Really like it and would like to buy two more but in over a year, I can never find that they have it in stock. When I bought it I had the advise of one of their reps but was not told that this is a hard item to get and if I wanted a pair I should buy them together. I have been checking the site now for about a year and never is this sheet in king or Cal king available in the is color.
Spent over 30 minutes for a way to email them about this to find out when it will be in stock an you can't even find a spot to email them. What kind of idot has a webs ite and no way for customers to email them? All I could do is find this site and write this review to expose their terrible business practices. And seems to me their should be a law against advertising an item, you have no intention of stocking for sale.
I've been a satisfied customer using the annual $29 fee for Beyond+. This shows you to get 20% off entire purchase plus free shipping. It has worked great until recently. NOW anything (what I've tried) you order that is on sale likely will exclude the 20% off due to some new Price Match policy. Si for example if Cinnabon KCups are 16% off they no longer allow you to get the 20% additional discount via Beyond+. This was not the case a few months ago. Rep wouldn't let me apply it to the full price since 20% is better than 16%. NO customer communication alerting you to this new scheme to prevent use of this membership discount program!
I waited for over a month all for them to tell my my order was out of stock. Then after hours of trying to talk to someone they said "sorry I dint know what you want me to do"... awful customer service! They never notified me to tell me my order was out of stock. Then I deal with a jerk customer service rep. Never ordering a thing from here again!
To buy from BBB, you need to be able to WAIT at every step in a tedious process. My goal was to purchase one 11.5 qt storage container. I added 4 additional smaller containers to qualify for free shipping; huge mistake. It took about 3 days to fulfill the order, then several days for shipping. The 4 smaller containers arrived in a box the size for moving with oodles of bubble wrap tossed inside on top of the 4 smaller bowls resting at the bottom. Packing slip was for all 5 bowls. Called for two days trying to report missing item; wait time was always stated as "more than 1 hour". Only other option was online "chat" and I was 227 in the queue; I'd moved up to about 116 in line when I was dropped. Waiting time for phone was never less than "more than an hour" so finally I decided to use that option; it was accurate: more than 1 hour. The person who took the call was cordial and said they'd send the missing item. Three days again to fulfill; BBB sent shipping notice with link to track. After waiting online > minute for tracking info to load, all that had loaded was BBB logo. Will NEVER buy online again from BBB; they clearly don't have online figured out. Meanwhile, I'm now getting daily email from BBB. Will have to move to Blocked senders to end this relationship'.
You shipped to me 3 wastebaskets but I needed only 1 and I ordered same style 1 wastebasket, 1 tumbler and 1 lotion dispenser on March 30th. First time, they shipped to me a broken lotion dispenser. I called to their costumers service and they shipped to me two wastebaskets instead of a lotion dispenser. Now, I can not fix my set because they are out of stock. They are really disappointing a company!
I ordered an item from Bed Bath Beyond 15 days ago. It still hasn't shipped. I did receive an email 5 days ago claiming it had shipped, but all they did was print a label and lie about shipping it.

Answer: How can you share a success story when you hold on three separate phone calls for an excess of 16 hours to resolve a refund issue where you are not able to make contact through email because of a shortage of employees yet you are told that you exceeded the 15-minute window? I have been waiting for my refund since the 13th of August and I have yet to receive it
Answer: Bed Bath & Beyond is a scam! They took my money and NEVER sent my order and won't give me a refund! The worste online shopping experience I have ever had!
