The worst company I've dealt with, lying, disrespectful employees, they don't comply with the rules, they violate the privacy rules with the client, they don't honor their policies, they send you torn and dirty clothes. The customer service department and its managers when answering leave you on hold for more than 10 minutes without returning to the call.
In short, do not buy in that store. Now there are much better online stores, with better prices and, above all, better customer service. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THAT STORE, THE CLOTHES QUALITY IS TERRIBLE!
I've purchased from Avenue for years in stores when they were open and online. Loved the products and they always were so helpful. I have never had such an issue as there is now. I placed an order over three weeks ago and still haven't received it. Can't get any information of if it shipped. MY credit card has been charged. I've emailed twice no reply, I'm presently on hold and have been for 20 minutes after trying to get through for days. Customer service is lacking. Honestly even the quality of the garments has gone hill as well. Once I get this order resolved, canceled, and refunded I will never again purchase from this company. Customer Service Samantha claimed it shipped won't give me a date or the supposed fed ex tracking number. Totally surprised how they treat customers.
"I purchased two bras from Avenue that both had different size underwires sewn into the bra, rendering one side too large, digging into my skin. They were obviously from the same defective lot. They would not exchange them, or refund my $. So now I will be taking this to the better business bureau to try to find some resolution. I would never recommend shopping at a store that sells defective goods, and then won't refund your money. Terrible customer service."
Can't speak for the quality of the item I ordered because I may never receive it. Ordered 1 item on April 16th and still haven't received word that it has shipped. Website says it's "in fulfillment". Have called twice and spent a total of 1.5hrs holding to speak to a customer service rep and each time was told that the item is in stock and will be shipping soon, yet it's almost been a month and it hasn't left the warehouse. Wanted the item for a vacation. Now I don't even care if it gets here, but not sure how I'll ever get my $$ back given the reviews from others who have tried. So disappointed...
Please, do not order or buy in store from these people. I bought a pair of dress shorts for 49.99, they sell them year round. Washed how it said to and laid out to dry. There are tiny copper looking threading all in the private area and up the seam to the abdomen. Refused to take them back or exchange them. People are so rude. Called customer service, the lady(could barely speak english) stated, "we are online company for Avenue, you have to go to the store... smh, never, ever, never, waste your money here!
Reading all the reviews here, I realize I am not alone in this experience. Ordered some items on June 14th and order is still being processed. Emailed customer service a week ago, still no reply. When I call customer service, am told they are closed and to email. I have a $33.00 credit with them that I am anxious to use, then close the account forever. Too bad because they have the only shoes that are ever comfortable for me. But what sort of employees do they have working the orders and phones? I guess its obvious - not very capable ones.
I did not receive my items. The carrier did not deliver. The tracking shows that it is still at the carriers. Customer Service would not provide a refund only merchandise credit. They said there must be an issue with my address as I had this issue in the past. So I was penalized for non-delivery not the carrier-unbelievable.
Ordered coats on 11/24 still haven't received them keep calling either it's busy, on hold and get disconnected or when I finally talk to someone I get the same response they should be mailed out in a couple of days even with the holiday and what's going on in the world it shouldn't take this long.
I purchased something on 11/20 and can't get ahold of anyone at Avenue to get status. My order has been in fulfillment status for 10 days now. Customer service number just rings busy. Emailed haven't received a response. I just want my money back at this point.
I tried to return an item I bought online for exchange. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything from them, I finally heard back from them with a phone call. They said my item was rejected for a refund or exchange because of pet hair. I don't even own a pet. Tags were still on the item. Numerous calls and asking to speak to a manager or supervisor, when I was told there was no manager, have yielded no results. I was told I could pay for return shipping to me or they will donate the item to charity, Horrible customer service. I will never buy from them again.
I have had my Avenue Credit Card for over 12 years and was a customer for over 18. I just got notified by my credit report that my credit card has been closed with no warning or notification. I used this card 13 months ago. Yes, I know it was a year with no activity but even major credit card companies give you some sort of notification. This will hit my credit history hard since it was one of my oldest accounts. When I called all they could offer me was running my credit again and reopening another account. Which would be another negative against my score. I was never late on my payments, never missed a payment.
Their returns department is terrible. They say you returned something damaged, or without tags, or too late. I never had multiple issues with any other company as I've had with avenue. Be prepared to argue with customer service about any returns you make. They do not care about the customer and I give them an F for customer service.
I made 2 orders the first was lost in their warehouse, and they refused to refund my money, or regenerate a new order. My credit card company is handling that part. The second I did receive, the quality is very poor and I was sent the wrong size. Wonder how long it will take(if ever) to get my PARTIAL refund (they charge to generate a label, using my printer and ink!) I do not recommend this company to ANYONE if I had a lawyer on retainer, I would take this further. My overall rating is 0 but I had to push a button to continue
Ordered items and they arrived in a timely fashion. They were all a little big so I wanted to exchange for a size smaller. Avenue does not do exchanges. They require you to return your order, at your own expense, and then re-purchase the same exact items in a different size. So if those don't fit, you will have to pay again to return them. Yes, they offer free returns at Happy Returns but there are not a lot of those around. Make sure you check to see where the closest one to you is before you order or you will pay to return. I would also assume that if the item was 60% off the first time you bought it and then only 40% off by the time you ordered it again, you would lose out.
I ordered several tops and all were I stock and ready to ship. Only one ships and they charge me full shipping cost. I send an email, asking what about my other tops, which still show available in my size. They say sorry we don't know why those were cancelled from your order but you can go on our website and reorder them as they still show as being in stock. Why, so they can get another shipping charge from me. Or to tell me they really aren't in stock. Total bull$#*!.
I ordered a $100 winter jacket on December 6th and they charged my credit card immediately when they are supposed to wait until it ships. Never received my order and the status still says in fulfillment. I emailed them and just got a ticket number but never heard back from anyone. Never received my jacket either! HORRIBLE! Will NEVER order from them again
I placed an order 20 days ago and the status of my order is Fulfillment! I've tried contacting the AVENUE online and by phone and the number is inoperable. Where is my order? When will it ship? Why is this company unresponsive? I've been ordering items for years and have never received this type of service. Disappointed and will Not purchase anything else.
Avenue used to be wonderful. I would place an order and receive all of my items in a few days. Not anymore. I placed an order for $326 on July 6th. It was 46 items total. I haven't received anything. Out of the 46 items, I received 2 emails saying items have shipped. One package says it includes one top. The other package is 2 tops and 3 panties. So, I'm still waiting for 40 items to ship. And, when I track both packages with Fed Ex, they are not in Fed Ex's system. They have not been shipped. Calling or emailing customer service is a waste of your time. I am a long time Avenue customer... correction, I was a long time Avenue customer. Now, I'm done with them.
I made an online purchase and returned (it didn't fit right) it using their label and packaging. They called and said they would not be giving me credit. I told them to send it back to me FREE of charge and they said I owed them 8 bucks for that... never did the online purchase say it was not returnable! They were rude! They were not customer focused and I will NEVER shop with them again! Too bad... I just sent over $400 at your competitor.
My order was shipped late, besides that. I get my order and my size 11's are all 2 sizes way to big. I have 4 pairs of boots that are so huge I couldn't even wear extra socks to make them fit. Like... what is wrong with the sizing? Nowhere says to order smaller... two or three sizes smaller.
Answer: Shein, although the quality is not as good. It is cheaper and they have an excellent return policy and customer service as well. Avoid Woman Within.
Answer: Yes. Everything was above board. I got a refund the same day I dropped of my return.
