Terrible customer service
November 21, 2022

This company's customer service is terrible to deal as they make many mistakes and break promises to return calls and emails. Here's my experience:

After placing an order for a refrigerator in July, I decided to exchange it for another unit. The customer service person I spoke to told me that the unit being returned would be picked up when the new unit was delivered. Unfortunately, the shipping company knew nothing about that and didn't have the paperwork to process the return. Unable to fit two refrigerators in my house, I had to reschedule the delivery/return. After one month multiple emails to Appliances Connection to get the delivery/return date scheduled, which resulted in only false promises of phone calls or emails, I had to reach out to the independent shipping company to set it up myself. The shipping company was great to work with by comparison.

Then, when trying to get a refund for the returned unit, Appliances Connection ignored my emails for over a month, saying they would call or get back to me with information on the status of the refund, but not getting back to me. I finally had to abandon attempts to work with Appliances Connection customer service entirely and go through my credit card company to dispute the charge.

Just today, over two months after I should have been refunded, their customer service person contacted me to follow up. They were apparently unaware that I had already been refunded.

Terrible service; satisfactory products

The delivery of the two plumbing items that I purchased was significantly delayed so on 9/13/'22, at the company's suggestion, I agreed to split my order. Within two weeks I received both items, shipped on 9/20/'22.
About a week later I received an additional Tub Filler Rough-In Valve ($296.71) that was shipped on 9/26/'22. Thinking this must have been due to an office or shipping mistake, I inquired about returning the item at the company's expense.
Unfortunately, the company's representative insisted that I had ordered the second Rough-In Valve, even though their own documentation proved otherwise, and would not pay for its return.
Due to some health-related concerns, I was slow to follow up on this issue and was recently informed that it was now too late to return this unwanted valve. Appliances Connection has excellent prices, but due to their extremely poor customer service I would never order from them again.

ABSOLUTE BOTCH JOB!

I just spent ten grand with these clowns and they completely F'ed up the delivery, and now I can't get a soul on the phone to deal with it.

I keep getting promises of a return call which never happen. Now, I have to call AMEX and dispute the charge because of their screw up. Mind-blowing.

Defective Viking Range
November 18, 2022

I ordered a 48 inch Viking Range from AC - over $20K. It took over 3 weeks to get it from New Jersey to its final destination. The installers connected the electrical cord to the range and the ovens did not work - right out of the box! I was working with Customer Service on a return/exchange when a Customer Service Manager - Calvin Bittman came on the phone and said that it was my problem to work out with the manufacturer and if I did not like that to "go hire a lawyer". Very unprofessional conversation from Calvin followed. All I could respond with was "wow", is this how Appliance Connections works? Deliver defective equipment and tell the customer to go figure it out with the Manufacturer. When I asked if there was a higher level person I could discuss this with, I got a very strong "No".

I ordered over $12,000 worth of appliances from Appliances Connection. They transferred the range and dishwasher to a delivery service that will not provide any times or dates for delivery. The delivery company has a tracking number that cannot be tracked online, does not answer the phone and does not even have voice mail to leave a message. Because the delivery service will not provide dates or times for delivery in advance, I provided them with three (3) dates/times that I will be available. I received notice again today that they have scheduled delivery for this very afternoon when I had expressly told them I would not be available. Appliances Connection refuses to refund my order without a penalty fee of over 10% of the purchase price. Appliances Connection will not schedule delivery in advance of the date of delivery. Apparently, anyone buying appliances has to be available to accept delivery at any given moment. I have never had a worse experience with a company.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

Hands down the absolute worst buying experience. I was sent 2 damaged microwaves and couldn't get my money back. I had to spend $80 to ship the second damaged microwave back. I had the tracking number. Now almost 2 weeks later I have not received my refund of nearly 1k. The communication is awful. There is a ton of misinformation between the departments. One man told me I would get my refund in 24-48 hours. The next department said I am sorry you were told that but that's not accurate. I ended up getting the microwave at Best Buy, it was not damaged, and it was less than the one from here. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

Nightmare! First, 3 of 4 units arrived either damaged or incomplete. The orders to install and remove (pd. For) were not communicated correctly the delivery team as a result of the orders being split because of back orders. I tried my hardest to get them to understand this each time I would get confirmation that the delivery was the next day. I have had a ticket opened for 2 months now, including an LG ticket from tech. Suggesting a replacement on the damaged range. Only one unit of the 4 has been installed and it arrived damaged (refrigerator freezer) requiring an LG tech come out and repair. Sadly, it is the lack of response from the teams including a personal email to the CEO that has me the most frustrated. Resolution is all I seek. And now, we are three weeks from the holidays, and I still do not have the appliances to work with. Mind you, I have already been billed and paid two months. I have screen shots and proof to provide for all of this. MY ADVISE, Steer clear of this poorly run company because the time off that I have had to take and the energy and frustration associated has certainly not been worth it.

They delivered a very damaged refrigerator and 4+ months later, after dozens of emails, have not replaced or fixed the broken product. Working with their customer service is painful, have filed a complaint with the NY Better Business Bureau.

I have never experienced dishonesty from a company like this. I ordered a commercial washer for my business 8/29/22 and the order status showed that it had shipped for weeks--it not only has never shipped but did not exist! After many calls to the company I was first told it didn't ship because it was damaged (yet they never notified me), then that was corrected to be it was discontinued--and they have never refunded my money! I have had about 12 calls with customer service people, including a supervisor, who assured me my refund would post by 10/28/22 4pm EST and guess what? No refund. I even have emails showing that my refund has processed. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I recommend never doing business with this company!

AWEFUL SERVICE. UNPROFESSIONAL DELIVERY. REFRIGERATOR CAME DAMAGED. CALLED APPLIANCE CONNECTION AND THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE UNPROFESSIONAL DELIVERY PEOPLE. THEY OFFERED ME A $50 CREDIT FOR THE DAMAGED $4500 REFRIGERATOR. TERRIBLE COMPANY AND I WILL NEVER BE USING THEM AGAIN.

Do not buy through them
October 28, 2022

Found a good deal on a dishwasher better than any other site. Ordered it and got a shipment date of 4 weeks later. Four weeks came and went I reached out to the site and they said it would be another 4 weeks those 4 weeks came and went and they pushed it out again claiming that the manufacturer was the issue. I asked for a refund and they said they would have to reach out to the manufacturer and would let me know within 72 hours. I reach back out after 72 hours letting them know that I wanted my money back and have yet to see it come back in. I think basically what they are doing here is holding on to my cash making money on it while I sit and wait for a refund. Very sketchy indeed. I would recommend no matter how good the deal is on their site that you do not purchase from this company.

Fine dishwasher, terrible delivery and service
October 18, 2022

We ordered a replacement Miele dishwasher for ours which stopped working. Our initial order rep and process went very smoothly. However, the delivery experience was horrible. First, there was a multi-day delay for a local delivery, and the delivery company never called to confirm the delivery until the morning of (I needed to keep calling to know the day). The delivery men skipped multiple installation steps, so the dishwasher is not properly adjusted to the space, and is not secured (they skipped adding the screws). The men continued to hurry me to sign that the dishwasher was installed, even before they tested the power or water. I had to proactively ask for the instruction manual that they insisted did not come with the dishwasher (which they did find). They also took the screws with them that holds the dishwasher secure in the frame (both for our old and new dishwasher). I am now a week into near daily calls with Appliances Connection to get the replacement screws and they continue to tell me I need to wait for them to verify with the delivery people that they do not have the screws and that there is nothing they can do to expedite this (besides me asking to bypass this step, speak with a manager, etc).

Worse company ever
October 11, 2022

I dont even know where to begin with company. In May, they delivered damaged machines. I asked for a replacement. They agreed. A month went by and this is a rental unit and they could not give anytime frame for a new washer and dyer. They agreed to pick up the machines and give me a full refund. I have those emails below from their ticketing system. They confirmed the pickup, they picked up (one of the emails attached also has the tracking number), and they confirmed a refund was coming. I waited almost 6 weeks. No refund. So, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. They responded to the dispute with lies stating they tried to pick up but I never answered their calls with a date. At this point, they already had their machines back. My card company charged my card again based on their lies. My card company now wont help me. My card was recharged on 8/26. They have had their money back for 2 months but keep telling me lies and keep promising a refund that is not happening. They not only at this point has the machines back but they also still have my $1700. 00. They keep responding to my emails with it takes time to process - but this has been going on since May. They keep lying and it is heartbreaking they are doing this to a single mom of 3 with a very disabled child. I need to buy new leg braces for my child and I need this money refunded. I am owed it and they promised it.

I just places a complaint against this company that, for the second time, charged me and never delivered the washer and dryer I ordered. They were very unresponsive to all my calls and emails and, instead of solving this, 1 month later, they said they will refund me. I lost 1 month and numerous hours on the phone and they want a clean slate by doing a refund. Well, I encourage everyone to write a complaint at their local Attorney General office against the company, this is the only way we flag companies like this and hopefully force them to rectify their service or get out of business. You can also place a line against them since they did not owned up to their services. This will keep them from ever getting government money. I will for sure do that.

BAIT AND SWITCH
October 3, 2022

This site is an absolute, 100% bait and switch. They post that an item is "available" and show dates where the item will be shipped for delivery. Then you don't hear from them. When you call in, they tell you the item is no longer available and ask you to pick something else. It's a bait and switch. I ordered a Bosch dishwasher that they do not have and have no estimated delivery date but the site reads "available" and shows a delivery date of 10/25 - 10/27. Then, they try and make you sound like you're the one in the wrong. I told the customer service rep that I have a college degree and that I can read. She told me that my college degree means nothing. I now have a hole in my kitchen with no dishwasher and no dishwasher delivery date. Appliances Connection can go straight to hell! What a waste of time, and now I'm put in the lurch. It's a damn good thing I called them, otherwise, I would have never known that the DW wasn't going to be delivered. Turn and run from this company.

We purchased a microwave at the beginning of our kitchen renovations. We had to wait for all of our appliances to come in which put us outside the 30 day return. We realized the microwave would not work for us. Brand new, still in the box and they would not let us return it. Stores ask us to be patient with them during covid, but make no such exceptions for their customers.

Sent a damaged product & no replacement
September 30, 2022

Bought a microwave. Was shipped damaged. They sent a tech, he said it wasn't covered even with images of the unboxing showing it was delivered damaged. Said there was nothing they could do. Called Samsung, they said the person we bought it from was responsible. Called ApplianceConnection many times, they said to call the tech who came out who needs to submit paperwork. The tech was sent out by Samsung, everyone was pointing the finger at the other for who was responsible. No one stepped up. I am still somehow as a customer making calls, have an open ticket, have proof of damage from its arrival, and no one is helping me for a replacement.

Horrible return policy when it was their mistake
September 28, 2022

We ordered handles for our custom panel fridge and were sent two different handles. I went to return them as soon as we got the second handle since we needed the handles to finish our kitchen. I have been told I need to pay for return postage and write a letter and jump through many other hoops to get my money back. Wow, I will never buy from Appliance Connection again. If it was my fault, I would be fine paying for return shipping (about $60-80 due to their size), but it was their mistake. Stay away from Appliance Connection!

I should have read the reviews

My experience sounds much like the reviews I have now taken the time to read. There is a reason this company's positive reviews has dipped to below 14% over the past year. They are deceitful regarding product availability on their website - then their representatives (when you can reach them) are disrespectful, argumentative and dismissive.
I ordered a product listed as "available". Do not confuse this with "in stock" as I did. I have now been informed (only after substantial persistence on the phone-as they do not like to answer questions on order availability) that "available" simply means that the product is made... somewhere... somehow... and by someone.
After 4 weeks, several phone calls, sitting on hold for long periods of time, awaiting a supposed email from the orders team providing an update of order status I finally broke through the wall of NO and go hold of a "supervisor" with the no customer service skills. His answer was to explain to me how e-tailing worked. BUYER BEWARE
Still no answer on when my order will be shipped... just another 3-4 weeks out-subject to change. Same answer as the last time I called. I get it, I'm in sales. But give your customers an honest answer.

Ordered a washer dryer set on 8/3. It's 9/26…still no washer and no compensation whatsoever. I paid extra for fast delivery. They want to give me a 89$ extended warranty. What a joke. Do not buy!
