Unprofessional
July 8, 2016

They never answer the phone. They book my hotel with the wrong date. The hotel staff couldn't help me because they say it was thought a third party. I show them the receipt but it didn't make a difference. I have been trying to reach then and still no luck. Don't let the price fool you.

Through a holiday search engine I found a good deal on Amoma. When I went to book, it was offered with warnings of "Book now! Prices might go up, so better secure this great deal" and "Last room" amongst other messages about how many people were viewing and how many bookings had just been made.

After a couple of clicks, the price went up by £10, so I hurried with the booking as prompted by the site as this was now the "Last room".

When I went back a bit later as I had my suspicions, the same tactic happened again. And again! This is clearly systematic misleading of customers.

Further, some ways into the booking (not sure from which referral sites) charge credit card and PayPal fees, although Amoma.com has "No credit card fees; Payment free of charge" on their website.

BEWARE!
July 2, 2016

Booked a hotel room for Feb through Amoma web site back in Jan 2016. All went well - no problems. Just received by credit card statement for end June 2016. Amoma have billed me for $833.50. What the?
Haven't used Amoma since Jan. Tried calling them - no answer. Have now had to cancel my credit card and get a new one. Everyone - check your credit card statements - you may find a nasty surprise a few months down the track!

Scammers and liars!
June 29, 2016

Amona is a scam and the staff are liars. They will tell you anything to book a reservation. When I called them I asked if a hotel was pet friendly. They told me "yes". When we arrived at the hotel late at night we were turned away! We had no place to go late at night. They also stated that "it was the last room", which also was a lie! THEY CHARGED US FOR THE ROOM! Do NOT USE THIS SITE!

Big scammers
June 26, 2016

I got scammed from those scammers and liars, this is unprofessional, I booked room and then they sent me an email with different date, the employee is a big liar too. He said he will correct the booking date and I'll get back to you within 20 minutes.
We waited for six hours. We called several numbers on their site but no one answered. I was forced to pay the hotel in cash.

I'm sure I've chosen the correct date while on your platform and was shocked to receive an email with a different date.
We were expecting an apology for the delay and a call from their end but to my dismay the guys sent us an email stating that we can't change or update our booking and they asking for more money!

DO NOT EVEN VISIT THEIR WEBSITE and google should remove them from their search results

No problem
June 25, 2016

Booked The Novotel in Mechelen Belgium then found the bad review so checked with the hotel and they confirmed that I had the reservation. Stayed at the hotel with no problem so in my case I give them full marks.

Have ordered an hotel in Mammoth lake, I did the reservation on April 2015 for October 2015, then moved it to April 2016. Had to pay more money for the change, did that. Then eventually decided to cancel. That's when all hell broke loose.
First of all, they couldn't find my transaction because it was in the previous year (!), had to go through like 5 people until they gave me some dude who is in charge of last year transactions.
Then, because I changed the dates and add extra money, it appears that the extra pay came from a different credit card then the original order. They could only return the money to my original order credit card, but not the extra. For that extra money they sent me a link via email where I need to put my credit card number and all the info, in order to get it back. Me being naive, I actually tried to use it, only to find out that is (according to the web page) not the card I've used and I just need to insert my correct card.
Have never heard of such nonsense in my life. Total scam trying me to input more and more credit cards.
Beware.
BTW, I've never got the return on my original order.
If I could give a zero star I would do that.

I was searching for hotel rates on various sites and came across Amoma with a low price and a coupon. I booked the hotel ok and the coupon did not work. There is no way to contact them at all. Their contact page is really just an FAQ page. You never get an email or form.

Although the hotel reservation went through without any trouble I would not recommend this site to anyone because I don't see a clear communications method for any special questions or issues.

They keep sending me coupons (that probably do not work) even though i unsubscribed.

Never, ever deal with them. Incompetent and contemptible, they ripped me off big time. Here is how they scam you: They get your money, but never make the reservations. The confirmation number they send you is worthless. Here is what's going on: hotel rooms are highly "perishable," and hotels will discount heavily to fill rooms at the last moment. (35 cents on the dollar is better than nothing.) Amoma knows this, so they don't make your reservation until the last minute; their goal is to bank the huge discount. But, if the hotel fills up, they (actually you) have a problem. So, they blame a "supplier" or the hotel, and offer you a replacement (always inferior) or your money back. A classic "heads we win, tails you lose" scam; now add up all the money they have sitting in their coffers (essentially an interest free loan) and you can see this is a very lucrative racket. And Trivago is in on it; they have been warned about this company for at least three years and continue to promote them. Why? Trivago was birthed by Amoma; the same people are involved. Trivago's major function is to steer people to Amoma. If you get ripped-off, demand restitution from Trivago; call the NY State BBB, and prepare to take them to small claims court. Trivago will cry they are not responsible, and they are just a meta-search company, and will point to the law of "agency," and other gibberish. Your reply, "Fine, we'll let a judge decide." Then trash Trivago on every web site you can find, and they will roll over real fast.

Rip Off
May 31, 2016

While on the Trivago I found a room at a Hilton in New Orleans, booked it - funny it said "last room" book now. I did book the room, wondered why I was now on AMOMA site.

Received 3 confirmation email, printed these as they state to do. Arrived at the hotel and no reservation for me, I called the number in the body of the email, was on hold for 38 minutes.

Finely spoke to someone located in Switzerland, told me it was the Hotels fault, handed my phone to the Hilton manager, he told her they did not transmit the reservation, she asked me if I could wait until tomorrow when there day staff came in, I said are you kidding.

I had to purchase another room on my own, also had to call my credit card company to dispute the $550 charge.

Don't use them, total rip off, I cant believe the travel sites have aligned themselves with this company, stay clear...

Horrible
May 30, 2016

I made reservations thru this website because it was the cheapest. After completing my reservations I did receive an email with my confirmation number so I assumed everything was good to go RIGHT?!... I arrived at my hotel and they didn't have my reservation not even with the confirmation number! So I called them and they said everything was fine and they would have to call their supplier's to see what happen and they will have to call me back. Mind you am there already and I have my children with me. After calling 9times arguing with them and being on hold for more 2 hours I finally got the problem solved. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE NEVER AGAIN!

Do not fear!
May 30, 2016

Soon after booking my hotel I decided to research the website which I probably should have done before. Regardless, hotel was booked and could not be cancelled and I came across dozens of horrible reviews. I immediately start panicking and worrying that this booking was a scam. After being upset for a few hours I decided to accept the fact that there was nothing I can do as they do not have a free cancellation policy and I would just have to rebook the hotel when I arrive. Fast forward to the day of my booking, I arrive at the hotel praying somehow the company pulled through for me. Low and behold the receptionist confirms my booking and confirms I have paid in full and to have a great stay. I can't say I will book with them again as they have scammed numerous people, but everything worked out just fine for me.

I made a reservation and tried to cancel it with 30 days before when I hit the cancel button this company charges $60 to cancel. This was not what was said on the original cancellation policy only pops up when you log into their site and press cancel reservations. When I called them to complain the rep said sorry and do what ever I needed to do have a nice day. Very bad and poor customer service

Booked with Amoma.com Paid the $1188 cancelation feed due to the 95% bad ratings on the internet
After spending and Hour and a half reading all reviews I could find on Amoma.com found most reviews said that they got to the hotel and called AMoma which changed them to another hotel, which I felt would probably happen since the only choice to book was through Amoma to book through to get this hotel listing, as sold a a month before booking. And I didn't want to take a chance of ruining the only trip I have taken my wife alone on in like 6 years.

Why does Kayak say that 10% down is all I have to pay to book Best Western in South Portland and when I get to the site, I am billed for the entire 4 night stay?
The ratings and reviews are terrible and I think this company is a scam.

I work for a Hotel in Palm Springs, CA. Over the past two years I have had several guest come to check-in who made their reservations through this site and we never once received their reservations. I had never even heard of this website before until the first time someone came to check-in and said they had made their reservation through this website. I have called this site on behalf of guest trying to resolve the issue, (in case it was our hotel at fault) but it is nearly impossible to get in contact with someone or when you do they constantly put you on hold or transfer you to someone else who then puts you on hold. Normally when a reservation is made through a 3rd party (Expedia, Booking.com, Orbitz, Hotels, Tripadvisor, ect.) they usually automatically get placed in the reservation system, very rarely they come to the hotel via fax. Even when they do we, the hotel are able to access them through an account online. Never use this site and honestly always call the hotel directly to check prices because even sites like Expedia/Hotels sometimes are more expensive than the hotel directly because they charge commission on top of the hotel rate.
