The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from frequent delivery delays, inadequate customer support, and challenges with returns. Many customers report frustration with unresponsive service representatives and convoluted processes for refunds and account issues. While some positive feedback highlights the convenience and product availability, the overarching sentiment reveals a decline in service quality and reliability. Customers express concerns about counterfeit products and a perceived lack of accountability, suggesting a pressing need for the company to enhance its customer service approach and improve operational efficiency to restore trust.

I've owned my Kindle fire for 4 years and use almost all of it's capabilities... including playing games... most at level of 1000 or more. Somehow my Kindle got reset to factory level and I lost EVERYTHING... customer service said to re-register the Kindle, requiring total setup... security, settings, etc. I'm still finding things to update. The games are gone... Amazon suggests I contact the game developers to get game data back. They have no idea how the Kindle got unregistered... they don't have the capability to find out. BUT they did offer to compensate me for my inconvenience for hours of troubleshooting over the phone... they offered to credit my account $10, which I declined.
The net is that Amazon technical support is purely clerical... they have a script for
Getting a customer running... at ground zero and that's all! And they have no way for a customer to do their own backups... And they suggested I caused the problem... even though it would have taken 4 steps for me to reset... and I would have ignored several warnings that data would be destroyed... I only signed on (no password problems)... and was met with an empty system. Usually talking to a supervisor brings a new perspective... but not with technical support... the answers were the same script... clearly they have no technical skills... they did not even opening a problem. Only many, many apologies and a generous $10 compensation offer. I am left feeling it could happen again... I wish I had chosen another brand device.
Consistently good experience! The first stop on my shopping list!
Amazon is a website that allows individuals from all over to purchase a variety of items that may or may not be out of 'reach'. Due to distances, amazon enables people to purchase almost anything as they will ship it right out to you. They have provided people with a service by bringing the products right into their homes and personal spaces, something other competitors cannot do without bringing the customer to them.
Amazon is VERY effective because it cares of customers. They ensure delivery, provide promotions, and offer a variety of products for purchasing. While the website may seem intimating at first, if you know what you're looking for, its not a problem at all! The website's cons would probably be the unorganized, 'messy' look once the website is first entered, but soon the pros take over and offer people a look into what appeals to them. No longer does distance matter, amazon takes care of it. While I may not shop at Amazon a lot, I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
As movie stores, such as Blockbusters and Movie Galleries, are becoming slim to none in existence, many people have resorted to online options to watch movies. Many people prefer the online option to view their movies because it is often times free or cheaper than renting one at a store. Also having to be home or near a tv at the exact time your favorite tv series airs its newest episode is no longer an issue with these web 2.0 tools since they have both movies and tv episodes for their users. This instant availability has definitely been a major pro for users and is probably one of the main reasons movie stores are going out of business.
I found three web 2.0 sites that people can use to watch their favorite tv shows and movies. I took into account the websites' affordability, accessibility, reliability, and more to create my reviews. Amazon's instant videos are very easy to navigate. There is a search bar and also categories to make it easier for the user to find what they are looking for. Another pro is that the prices for each movie or tv episode is clearly displayed. Amazon Prime is an option the site offers in which you can become a Prime member for $79 a year which allows you to have access to thousands of free movies and episodes that are have no additional fee as compared to having to make a purchase each time you decide to use Amazon instant videos. A major con is that there are no free options to this site and that there must be some kind of purchase made before watching an episode or movie. However the cost is relatively cheap and affordable. I would recommend this website.
During this time of recovery from an economic downturn, people are saving money and have become more frugal than ever before. Many people have cut back on the luxury items and only focused on obtaining the necessities. Going to the movies with high priced tickets and popcorn was a luxury that many people cut back on.
As we began to embrace these cut backs we put together a list of websites to watch movies and/or tv on to little or no cost. We kept in mind a number of things such as affordability, reliability, clarity, and much more. Amaazon's instant videos are very easy to the navigate and sift through. The sites pros are that the prices for the movies are clearly displayed. They have a wide variety of free videos. It is a trusted and credible website that is not know to give viruses. It has great customer support. The cons is that all of the movies aren't free and the website doesn't have inviting and appealing colors that would make you want to log onto their website. But I would definitely recommend this site to a friend.
I've made COUNTLESS orders from Amazon and have yet to be disappointed. Great selection, great prices, fast shipping and an overall pleasant shopping experience. Would highly recommend.
Amazon is great! It is definitely one of my favorite sites. I don't use it for buying products so much as I use it for renting movies. They have a great selection and I can stream them to my computer and my blu-ray player. I've ordered lots of movies from them and I've never been charged the wrong price or had my account charged more than once. So, I'm quite pleased with them.
I never had a problem here that did not get immediately fixed. Amazing return policies and so far, I found almost everything I wanted to buy online at Amazon at a better or comparable price.
(Fifth update.) I've been purchasing from Amazon fairly heavily for years, not because I think it's the best source for merchandise (although it often is) but because its gift cards are the reward of choice for my participation answering queries for helpowl.com [which I've also reviewed for SiteJabber].
Pluses:
1. Price. Prices are generally excellent, and some purchases are tax-free. Many items are "eligible for free shipping," meaning that Amazon will not charge for shipping such items if their total price in one order is $25 or more.
2. Return policy. Return policies are easy and quite generous, and with items shipped by Amazon the company pays for return shipping, or may even waive the need to return the item at all.
3. Promptness. Shipping is always prompt, even when free.
Minuses:
1. Support. I've now downgraded my star rating because of the increasingly terrible customer service. The good news is that phone support is usually, perhaps always, available. The bad news is the quality of that support:
(a) Thick accents by agents apparently based in other countries--even supervisors--make their advice largely unintelligible.
(b) Even when one can understand them, too many of the support personnel seem entirely clueless, taking the customer's time to no good end. Escalating to a supervisor sometimes works but often does not; and written support, usually provided as boilerplate, is usually still worse.
(c) Inquiries to Amazon's sellers must almost always be made via Amazon's online form; and, incredibly, Amazon cannot track such inquiries or follow up unless the purchase has already been made.
2. Product descriptions. These are wrong much too often.
3. Product search. The variety of products available is overwhelming, and Amazon's product search engine is awful. For example, a search for a "queen-size single fitted sheet" yielded many hundreds of results (as I recall, about 1,400!), pointing to sheets of various sizes, nearly all sheets sets. Of all those results I found only 1 that matched my search criteria. One suspects that Amazon deliberately fudges search results to offer more choices, with the goal of increasing sales.
4. Merchant reviews. As of last check Amazon allows reviewers without significant limitation to withdraw their reviews. This policy encourages merchants -- many of whom depend on Amazon for patronage -- to go after reviewers whose reviews are not favorable in order to buy them off. This has happened to me.
The consequence of these minuses is that you could easily spend hours trying to meet your need, which may in the end be unfulfilled or, even worse, fulfilled badly.
If u use this site, and order alot just get the extra service for shipping its 69 dollars for a year but omg it has saved me hundreds on shipping, for example i got a hair brush in mail, 2nd day air and no shipping fee for a 3 dollar hair brush lol
Always great products... has become a little expensive over the years.
I can't live without this site. It's not always convenient for a new mom to go shopping anymore. The iphone app is so awesome. I can use one hand to feed my baby and one hand to shop for diapers. Make sure you sign up for Amazon Mom and get Prime - 2 day FREE shipping.
This is what all online stores should aspire to be. Great customer service, good prices and in many states - sales tax free. Every time I've ever had a problem, they were quick to fix it and willing to go above and beyond to make me happy. The best of the best.
The absolute best site for goods & services period. I have been a loyal Amazon customer for years and will continue as they have the best service, products selection and support in the business. When i need something or just want to research I go to Amazon. Simply AWESOME!
A lot of options for the cheapest prices. Very helpful reviews. Haven't had a bad experience yet.
If it is not an amazon, it probably doesn't exist. You can find all kinds of deals and do some price checking through amazon. They are quick, in most cases, to ship out products and if one of their marketplace companies doesn't cut the mustard they will usually get your money back fast.
I have dealt with amazon.com quite a few times since it's inception, and the only mishap I've had was that the book I wanted was a revised version that had the same SKU# as the unrevised, so I received the wrong product. When I contacted the seller I was offered the option of shipping it back or taking a partial refund. The shipping rates in Canada are atrocious so I took the partial refund. Every other order I've had from Amazon has been correct and timely.
I shop with Amazon quite frequently and the only negative I have found is that buying large quantities of G2's and Xyience are way over priced. Overall, they pretty much offer everything and I love the comparisons to other shops and items!

Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
Amazon sells everything (almost).
