I purchased a flight ticket on the affirm app with Expedia with approved credit of $500 which required a $95 upfront payment using my debit card and they were supposed to pay for the ticket because that was the purpose of me getting credit! They charged my debit card and they gave me a virtual Visa debit card to make the purchase and somehow Spirit airlines charged my debit card when affirm is the ONLY one who had MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER! It was never charged to the Virtual card number they gave me to pay for the ticket! It's a SCAM! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM PLEASE!
They will HOLD your REFUND as long as possible. Then when you find a way to contact them they will offer you a check refund and not an ACH refund as they claim on their website if you made payments via ACH. This way they can hold your money longer. The process refund will not start until you contact them no when the store refunds money back to them. UNETHICAL AND DISHONEST
I actually purchased airline tickets thru affirm back in 2020 and because of covid 19 I was not able to go. So I was on the phone 2 months straight every day getting a refund from the airline. They finally gave me my refund but it had to be sent to my affirm account. I had already paid off my Affirm amount for that flight. They split my refund in 3 deposit payments to my checking account and sent the final payment by check on August 12th 2021. I am still waiting for my check it is October 20th 2021. They lost my check in the mail in august because they are too cheap to send it but with a regular stamp. The supervisors are no help I've talked to 6 different ones nobody knows anything and they repeat the same thing over and over nobody is held accountable at affirm nor do they care. They cant even make things right by sending my check my money that they didn't help me get back by sending the check thru a simple tracking number. Save your self the headache of using this joke of a company who is cheap and does nothing to help a valuable customer. They have absolutely ruined my experience with them I'm disgusted every time I call about my check and why I haven't received it yet 3 months later.
Have used affirm many times in the past. It's great… as long as you don't have issues with the merchant you purchase from. Their customer service is terrible.
For my most recent purchase, I purchased a silver bracelet that arrived without a clasp. Should be an easy fix, right? Wrong. I start by contacting the merchant. Multiple attempts were ignored. I file a dispute through affirm. I upload ALL the information they ask for, including photos of the defective product and my attempts to contact the merchant.
15 days go by without a response from affirm. They then tell me it's too late to upload any proof of the issues with the merchant, due to their return policy, despite me uploading all of that on day one. Not that it matters, as the merchant wasn't responding to me anyways. After pushing this issue, they just start spamming the same message over and over again, basically just shrugging off all the proof I sent the fact that they were the ones who failed to respond in a timely manner. My requests to escalate the issue were completely ignored by the representative.
Never again will I use this service - IT IS NOT SAFE TO USE. If you file a dispute for a legitimate purpose, and their incompetent customer service representatives do not side with you, you are out of luck!

I am giving you a 3 star for now because of the negative experience with the company you advertised on your website. Overall I am happy with how easy and quick Affirm works to approve credit lines. I am not happy with one particular order I made through Affirm on a company they carry on their website. I found out that this company has numerous negative reviews. I don't understand why Affirm still broadcast this company (Simply Mac) on their website as a business partner. I made a purchase using Affirm website to this company that Affirm advertised on their website back in December 2021 we are in February 2022 and I am still waiting for my product. The product is completely paid for and Affirm is taking payments from my bank for the product that I have not received. I reached out to Affirm and the company but they both tell me there is nothing they can do about it. Affirm says it is the company's business and the company tells. I will continue to do business with Affirm but not that company. I do hope Affirm review this and reach out to the company and maybe stop advertising them in the future. It is not looking good for Affirm.
I used affirm a lot but one purchase i made to Remote Control Hobbies of beaumont Texas was canceled by the seller and I never got a refund affirm say the seller gave me credit I told them no they didn't I have never even talked with them.the phone number is disconnected and they don't answer emails I have disputed the 10 times affirm with all tje proof of cancelation and it sys refund not credited but affirm doesn't want to help so I was scammed by remote control hobbies and made to pay a loan that I have never received any merchandise or refund
I was notified in early June that I owed $$ for the purchase of books. I replied that I didn't purchase any books nor did I receive any books. They must have the wrong person. The emails continued so I thought it was a scam and I told them so. Then their story CHANGED and now it was for a Mint Mobile purchase. I use Mint Mobile service so I called them and asked. They said no, I never made a purchase and no, I owe them nothing. Their documents was sent to the next email notification which were coming from this company, Affirm. They have now put me in collections. I find that the loan was actually taken out from a bank in New Jersey called Cross River Bank. On February 13,2021 but I live in Missouri and just had my second Breast Cancer surgery on January 29,2021 so I was recuperating with drainage tubes etc. This company refuses to speak to me even though I have given them more than enough evidence to prove that I did not take out this loan I have been fighting for 2 and 1/2 months, gotten a police report, reported it on the Government site, my Credit Bureau and even notified the Attorney General of Missouri. Affirm is STILL holding me responsible for this debt. They are cold, conniving, crooks who wants $$$$ and they don't care who it hurts just so they get it.
If you ever have to return something, don't expect to get a refund from this company. They'll keep telling you the refund is coming but it never does. This company is a complete scam.
PLEASE STOP YOURSELF FROM GETTING THIS TYPE OF LOAN! You are better off just saving your money to buy it all at once because this type of loan is really good at affecting your credit right away and when finally can pay it off they don't change your credit status right away. Is crazy how they can do us like that and when you do pay it off they don't work as fast as they do harm.
Used once and now they are saying that I can't use them anymore because of reasons that I don't agree with this company I thank you for helping with one purchase however I will stick with Klarna that is we're I will be along my business :)
On Dec 14,2020 there was a loan opened in my name from Affirm in the amount of $3,034. Upon trying to purchase a car on Nov 30,2022 I was notified that my credit score was very low. I went to Experian to see why my credit score was low, that was when I noticed the Affirm account (among others) on my report. I attempted to reach out to Affirm multiple times to resolve the issue, however I could not gain access to further information about the account because I was unable to answer the security questions or verify my identity. Finally I was able to work with someone in Affirm that allowed me access (despite the security questions) and was able to submit a fraud dispute. The dispute results were rejected immediately and the loan remained with a balance due. From there I submitted a police report, Affidavit, CFPB Report, IDtheft.gov report, and still it remains on my report and gets rejected within minutes. The customer service is absolutely ridiculous. I have hired an attorney to take care of the situation and file a lawsuit against Affirm. I suggest anyone else do the same. If this were just removed, this whole process would not have to happen.
I love affirm, shopping is so easy and you can buy anything. Things you thought you'd be unable to buy you really can buy them. I think it's a great help to me.
I've been using Affirm for approximately 3 years now and paid thousands of dollars worth of loans off. Back in 2021 I was 2 days on ONE payment but got that caught up and even paid that specific loan off 4 months early with a pretty significant lump sum of money. Now fast forward I'm thinking yea I can use my Affirm app to make payments on smaller purchase and have lower interest than on one of my regular credit cards. Nope not happening, I was so called "pre-approved" for plenty more than my original purchase amount requested. I go through all the proceed to checkout and guess what Affrirm declines my purchase for "serious delinquency of past Affirm loans" so I called customer service, they explain oh yes I see her you were 2 days late back 2021 we won't be able to give you a loan at this time. Wait what? I counted I've paid off 43 loans with them and that ONE payment was the ONLY ONE that I missed by two days. Absolutely the worst ever. I will gladly take my business to Klarna and Afterpay. They will continue to get my business without any hassle. Below is just a small list of what I've paid off with Affirm. But never again!
I am gonna keep my review very short and to the point because it has been ongoing issues for the last 8 months fighting with them back-and-forth and had to supply to them multiple items/ proof of interactions and reasoning why I should be getting a refund. Let's just not even talk about distress associated with that and then having to re explain your story to "customer service" every single time you get somebody... I finally get partial refund because really they're all about the money and not about ethics or even what the person signed up for... Never got a refund they stated they tried to push it through to your account and it wouldn't go through kind of funny how they can take money out of your account with no problems but when they need to refund it to your account it just won't go through for some reason. Finally get them to send a check the check bounces twice... This is still an issue... How does a check from a major company not go through go through ridiculous... I call customer service they say they have no record of a check being sent out I ask for a supervisor they suddenly find proof that a check was sent out but then said will they send you an email last week that everything's been closed is that everything spin closed how is something closed when a check doesn't go through?... I have not experienced this level is the level of lack of customer service, follow through, accountability, and general incompitancy in my 43 years of life... still have not gotten paid my partial refund... do not use this service... once they have your money they do not care.
The first year was great! Made a ton of purchases, paid off a ton of purchases then all of a sudden, I get a strange call while at work from an Affirm rep stating that my account had unauthorized purchases. Next thing I knew, money started missing out of my checking account (Debit Card on file with Affirm). Before I could stop it. I was cleaned out in my checking and merchandise I didn't purchase was on its way to Florida I would be responsible for paying for! Affirm was no help! In fact, according to an investigator, it looked to have been an inside job! I had merchandise I was already paying on and now I couldn't pay for my merchandise without being required to keep my new Debit Card on file with this company which forced me to close and reopen a new Bank account. Now, they have forced me not to be able to pay for my merchandise, and now my credit is ruined! I hired an attorney and will sue them exhaustively! Be warned, do not do business with Affirm! It was a good company at one time, but now criminals operate it! If you don't have cash to pay for your items, save up for it or do without!
Someone made purchases on my affirm account on January 3,2022. I received a alert by text then a phone call. When prompted I entered my 4 digit pass code and responded no when asked If I could confirm a purchase on my Affirm account. I was then forwarded to a person that verified someone with an IP address in Germany was trying to make purchases with my account. I thought after the conversation that it was handled and I had nothing to worry about. I checked my Affirm ap on my phone a couple hours later and there was two transactions made. A $1,000.00 transaction and a seperate 2nd transaction of $3,000.00 both to a company called ColFour. Which I googled and it does not exist. I contacted Affirm by phone and they assured me that I would not get charged for these transactions and it would not affect my credit. The customer representative told me I have to wait for an email from Affirm and expect in 3-5 days and affidavit for me to fill out and send back. I have only made 4 transactions thru Affirm, using their service for almost a year. Read thru other reviews, this is not something new, people have their credit information stolen and used seems like a common problem. I am never using Affirm ever again once my account is closed.

This is a ridiculous company. Please avoid them as business owners and individuals who want to use them. They are far from being professionals. Been chasing them to resolve an issue with them for over 9month; they are giving me the runaround and keep lying about that they are trying to reach out to me. They ask me to set up appointments with their support, but I have not received any calls or replies to my email when the appointment date arrives. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD BY FFFFAARRR THE WORST.
I decided to use Affirm to pay for an Amazon order. They told me the amount to borrow, approved the loan, then came back and told me I didn't borrow enough to pay for the order, and that Amazon had rejected it (which was a lie...) So I reapplied for the new amount and they wanted to take ANOTHER down payment. I told them I already made a down payment on the order, but they said that was for the 1st loan and that I had to make a new down payment for the 2nd loan. They told me I had to cancel the "virtual credit card" in Amazon which would trigger a refund of my 1st down payment. I deleted the "card" but have yet to see my refund. Somewhere in the process, the terms of the loan changed from monthly payments to bi-weekly payments. Seriously?!? So dishonest!
So, I then cancelled the ENTIRE Affirm order and went and reordered it directly from Amazon. WHEW! What a nightmare! Do NOT do business with these people. Unless you want a migraine headache! I will have nothing more to do with them. Except to get my refund...

Purchace was to be Shop Pay which is affliated with Affirm, but tranaction was error vs bait an switch to Affirm leading to a "loan" and credit score reporting. I had near perfect credit but now will have this erroneous tranaction for years to come. I have requested Affirm remove this error in good faith as it is their mistake, to no avail.
Do not use Affirm in any capacity, they are unturstworthy.
