Check contracts rep forged my signature on the legal document wouldn't trust this company so all should check there contracts because if you didn't sign it its not legal and void
After trying to cancel my ADT account I was subjected to multiple reasons why I should not and could not cancel my account. When I asked to talk to a supervisor which could help me I was told by the ancient online that I did not have the right to talk to anyone besides that person. This is one of the worst customer service companies I have ever dealt with and will make sure everyone that I can't speak to either cancels or does not use ADT.
First of all they rope you into a 3-year contract which is ridiculous to begin with and you're not allowed to cancel that contract unless you buy out all the months you have left. Second of all your cameras are only under warranty for 6 months so if for some random reason beyond that in the 2 and 1/2 years you have left on your contract your cameras stop working by no fault of your own you've got to pay them between $60 and $80 to get a technician out to your house to fix your cameras that you didn't do anything to make stop working in the first place. They charge you $64 a month when Ring is only $10 or $11 a month. Signing up with ADT is one of the biggest mistakes I've made in the last couple of years. I would do anything to end my contract with them and not give them another penny of my money. Every time I call them, the hold time is an hour or more. And that only gets me to an initial rep who can't help me who has to transfer me to another rep who actually has the authority to do what I need done. I just had a conversation with an ADT rep over their online chat system and he said "just give me one moment" while he was supposedly passing me on to the loyalty team or so he claimed but what he really did was disconnect the chat so I could not message him any further and didn't help me at all after wasting nearly 30 minutes of my time when I started out the conversation making it clear I needed to speak to someone beyond his authority level. This company is a complete and total scam. Do not sign a contract with them. Do not put their equipment in your home. You will regret it.
The worst service of the all liars. I just got this service hooked up to my cameras and not working I was told to get a Wi-Fi extender which I did still not working I was told I was getting three cameras and when they came to my house I only got one and I had to go buy the second and they gave me the third for free but the second was double the price the managers name is JP complete idiot and I've just cancel the service it's been two days and now I'm waiting for a call with the can come and pick up all the equipment. Don't ever go with this company
Im that's type of guy that doesn't like to leave reviews I just don't give them or come back again however this time I must say ADT is the worse don't get this company they over charge you when you call they just give you the round up they transfer you from one person to an other one and on top I pay to get out of my 2 year contract and they told me one price and now they are sending me an email that I have to pay more just don't go with this company they are TRASH
I had just paid for ADT. I noticed that it didn't ask me my shipping address, which is different from where I will be having it set up. I immediately called ADT back and waited on hold for 10 minutes. A guy answered laughing at another conversation with someone he was in the room with, no big deal I just waited for him to stop laughing. After a bit he started to call me and sort of listen to what I was saying. It was hard to understand him when he talked. I guess because he was still in his laughing mode. I told him the situation and he immediately said you need to call FedEx, I said, call FedEx I just placed the order a minute ago. What do you mean. He said please hold ma'am. 10 minutes later, never returned to the call. Not a good start with ADT. I was fuming to the point of almost tears. Due to the situation I was running late for work. I hope ADT gets it together. Don't feel very secure from that call, and that's the point of getting a system. Very disappointed to say the least.
Eventually another man answered and he was very helpful and kind. He apologized for the behavior of the previous man.
Still, not feeling good. Really brought on my stress level, which is already in place from being a first time home owner.
ADT should be there to make people feel safe.
I called ADT to report an issue that I was experiencing, and was told there is a 59.99 charge to have a technician come to my home and when I question why am paying $60 dollars for a service that am paying for monthly, the rep responded you can write to the CEO of the company with your consent, VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I wont recommend this service to anyone, please look into other companies and make a better choice.
ADT replaced my Dell doorbell camera outside 2 weeks ago I cannot get a hold of anyone at ADT so I can reset my password they've had me locked out for 2 weeks. They need to hire more people or I need to change my health security to another company
I had ADT for about 8 years, we recently moved and I tried to cancel my account, you cannot cancel by email or through the website, but only by phone. I called the first time and the minute I mentioned cancellation, they switched me to another department and I was placed on hold for 45 minutes! I called back again and when I finally reached a person, I asked not to be switched to another department and not be placed on hold!, you got it, they switched me anyway! Third call, they were canceling my account but it would be 30 days! POOR COMMUNICATION!

To be honest I am satisfied at the beginning I decided to choose ADT as my home security system back in 2019. Even though I did noticed the camera's resolution is not good, no sound, price is not low, but I was happy when the professionals came to my home and installed the setup.
In summer 2020, I have to change my wifi module because of Xfinity upgrade... then. I found all my ADT cameras cannot be connected... we tried couple of days, multiple methods, contact ADT multiples times... no way to figure out the issue. I am so surprised such a normal change in customer's home can trigger such a big problem for ADT's camera. The only solution is, ADT can send a technician to my home fix it; but need to charge me ~$150 per hour! Of course I won't accept it. And leave the cameras idle and purchased products from another vendor...
Later I want to get rid of the contract with ADT. Again, surprisingly, there is no way I can cancel/ terminate the contract in the system on my own. I cannot do this using the "online" chat. The ONLY way to do that, is to call the customer service... such a crazy company!
When I call them to cancel/ terminate my contract, one of the representative is super, super rude to me. I requested to terminate my contract, he asked me back " why? What's happening?" ( this is exactly what he said). Plus he said " I am trying to help you, if you don't want to talk to me just hang up...
Wow... I am so surprised a company with so-called 150 years history is something like this. I will get rid of it for sure next month, no matter what barrier they give me.
ADT Charged me $681 without my knowledge or permission. When I tried to cancel the service, they forced me into either signing a new 3 year contract or pay over 900 to cancel the service.
TODAY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION THEY CHARGE $681 and on top of it they closed the account.
What a worse company. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GET ALARM SYSTEM FROM ADT AS THEY WILL MAKE YOU PAY WHEN YOU DONT HAVE A LOCATION.

Several attempts to cancel the service which I didn't contract in the first instance and then I gave up. I disputed the bill for $124 and they said they would get back to me but never did. In the end, I paid it on 6/10/20. In early-mid November I get a letter from a debt recovery agency that's impossible to contact and I call ADT- despite quoting the receipt number the extremely rude person in the billing department refused to sort the problem and said they will get back to me. I called the next day - the guy I spoke too told me that that they had not done some processing or other - so as I understand this you can pay them but their systems are so poor they may not recognize it, and then with no cross-check happily pass the account to a debt collector. The guy I spoke to, said while he could correct whatever it was he could not solve the hand over which was another dept! I asked for confirmation that the problem at his end was resolved and he promised to email me by COB - he did not. And that is entirely consistent with the track record of this extremely poor business. Stay away from this poor service dishonest mob.
You spend hours on the phone speaking to rep after rep each one telling you different things.to the point you don't no what to believe. They don't want to send no one out the fix the problem they want you to fix the equipment by mailing you the kit to fix it also when they finely send someone out you will be waiting a whole week before someone comes to your house.and hope that you really do have an appointment because I waited for a technician to come out and no one came out had to end up calling to find out that no one was coming. DO NOT GET ADT SERVICES! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! I and now that I want to cancel they want to charge me 2,690 some dollars for getting out of contract
I cannot overemphasize how unethical and shady this company is. Not only is their service expensive to set up (we paid close to $3000 for everything), but once you stop paying them $60 per month the system doesn't even work - and the $250/piece cameras are useless. It was insanely difficult to cancel our contract (we got out of it when moving out), and we get harassed constantly by their sales agents mailing us, showing up at our door - even at the door of our NEW HOME. Not to mention the terrible customer service by phone - don't count on getting ANY help if you have issues with this incredibly overpriced system. And we had steam from a shower turn off our smoke detectors, I told the ADT dispatcher when they called that their was no fire, but somehow ADT called the fire department anyway. I was back in the shower home alone, could not hear the firemen and my fence was broken down as they attempted to get into my house. ADT did nothing. Completely unresponsive and uncaring about their customers. AVOID at all costs, learn from those of us who suffered through this criminal company with its negligent services.
Put an ADT security system in my home 3 months ago. Due to my work, I wanted peace of mind while away on regular business trips out of town. I received a alarm of possible intruder, but ADT could not send any one but a police out to walk around the house. I was on a plane landing in Denver when I got the alarm.
ADT would not go out to my home without me bring present at thr house? 2 weeks later when I got home, an ADT tech came out to find a sensor was not installed properly, therefore triggering a false alarm.
This weekend, both my garage and doir cameras did not record any history for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today, (Monday). When I called tech support, Robert he informed Mr that their recent merger with Google, they have no remote access to my system or cameras. I need to be home for a tech to be sent out to check my cameras on the outside of my home?
A security system main use is for when you are away from home. ADT does not function in that way. It is purely for the housebound customer. I will not be putting it in my other 2 homes because it is a boat anchor that I am paying a huge amount for. Blink works great in my relatives homes. I will be making a change soon.
You have to wait 2.5 hours to speak with representative and if you got transferred to the right department, and call disconnected, then you need to dial back again from start and another 2.5 hours of WAITING, total FIVE (5.0) HOURS AND GOOD LUCK. SO POOR SERVICE. I REGRET JOINING THEM. Not sure if I could have the HELP CUSTOMER SHOULD DESERVED!

Appt scheduled tech called can't make it because is working to far today. Rescheduled appt for today between 8-9. No show, texted tech who states. Not on his schedule. Called *******727 spoke to representative who mumbled her name. Would not clarify. Explained took another day off and can't keep doing this. She was entertained and laughing. Said she spoke with coordinator Matt who said someone will try and be there by 1. Sais to call at 12 and check. Said they can call me as they did do cancel. States can't do that unless they are running behind etc. Asked to speak to Mat. Stated he doesn't talk on phone/can't transfer call. Did I mention my system has not worked because the battery in the control panel died and can't get them to replace. But. I am still paying monthly! They withdraw the money on time! When you call expect to sit on hold for a good long time. If it's your lunch hour. You have plenty of time to cook eat and clean up. Btw. You know when they say have password ready——- never asked for it. Did you Miss mumble?

ADT scheduled A routine inspection of my system they advise my wife someone would be there between 2 and 5 pm
I rushed home and got in at 2 o'clock my wife works in an environment where mobile phones are not permitted on site and waited until 530 when my wife came in with a reply from ADT on calling ADT I was informed that they contacted my wife no reply so the engineer just didn't turn up what a complete and utter unprofessional organisation I asked ADT representative what I was paying for and he couldn't answer
Simply don't waste your money or your time asking ADT any questions about home security as they seem to be in the wrong
