If I could give 10 stars, this would still not be the rating that Kodi and Chris deserve. They were with me every step of the way, incredibly helpful, solution oriented, never left me alone for a moment or with a problem. Always questioned whether I needed help, and all this with a warmth that is more than remarkable! Shipping an antique Chinese bed from the USA to Germany is anything but easy and I would certainly have failed if the two of them hadn't always been by my side. I couldn't be more grateful and happy. Sending my love, enthusiasm and all my respect to Topeka/KS!

I have been trying to place an order with 1stDibs for the past 5 working days. There is a technical problem within the 1stDibs website, whereby, despite my bank already confirming over the phone with me that the 'pending' amount showing at £297 (private offer, which has been agreed with the seller) has been authorised by themselves, the 1stDibs website is unable to process the order at their end. Instead, every time I select 'complete order', when I'm logged into my 1stDibs account, the same red error message flashes up on my screen, telling that there is a 'system error' and that I should let 1stDibs support team know about it. I have, quite a few times now. I've now had to cancel my original order on the 1stDibs website, as it was showing as 'pending' twice over the weekend in my bank balance - despite still showing as 'a failed order' on the 1stDibs website. So an amount of £297 that should have been showing as 'pending', was actually showing as £594 'pending' in total, to 1stDibs.
I tried buying this item last week and got a notice that my order was cancelled. There was no easy way for me to communicate with 1st Dibs
The site is exceptionally informative, easy to navigate, and the seller did make me a nice offer; however, when he did not reply to my questions after over 24 hours, I felt compelled to half-blindly purchase, given the strong interet of other buyers. This has left me nervous., for I am buying for my sister...
The previous seller of the ring I won in auction(yellow sapphire with little diamonds around it.) promised to have the ring, originally a size 7, sized for me at no extra cost. S/he did not do it and I had to have the ring sized for me (I am a size 8) and so I had to pay a local jeweller to do it. I resent this. I had to pay over $125 dollars out of My pocket, because I had it done before I could send it back to 1st dibs.this was NOT the agreement. I also had requested our phone several times and still have not gotten it. This is how you "vet" your suppliers? Terrible service...
I am disappointed in the yellow sapphire ring I won in auction. Seller said it would be sed from original size 7 to my ring size. I did receiver the ring but it was NOT sized. I had to take it to a local jeweler, and have it sized so i can actually wear it. I will cost me $125 to have it sized. It was my first experience with 1st dibs. I have requested multiple times for your phone number, and ALL my requests have been ignored. Not a good way to earn new customers. Sicerely,

It was easy to shop and check out, the only complaint I have is that a promotional code which was featured across the top of the main page came up as invalid when entered into the box. It was a seamless experience aside from that.

Your system got hung up in the payment screen. I had to refresh, Then it went to review where it told me something was still wrong and some of my information was wrong or missing. Ihad to resubmit again. Then the confirmation page took longer than normal to load it loaded black scrren the empty screen the populated screen - NEEDS WORK!
I got multiple emails at the time my offer expired. One said verify payment, the next said offer expired with no action by seller. Customer service coudln't help me determine whether it looked like the seller actually accepted and it was a CC issue, or if seller let it expire. Boo.

When viewing products a blocked screen comes in and asked if it can help me. So I just move on to the next product where it lets me read about what I want to purchase. I use cherish much more because of this.
Twice now when I type in my country and postal code, the response is "Free Shipping,", but when i pursue it, the actual shipping cost is almost the price of the item. That's VERY misleading -- also known as bait and switch, which is unacceptable from a company as reputable as yours, with whom I've dealt for many years. I'm very disappointed with this.
Tried to order this item the other day and my bank blocked the money transfer I then had the transfer of monies unblocked and tried to put the order through via 1st dibs with no success so I'm trying again and hopefully it will go through this time you need to have someone on a phone line like the good old days to talk to

I ordered a rubies choker and despite requesting a return 2 months ago I still don't have a way to return it! The value of this is £*******! Customer support does absolutely nothing! They keep saying they will come back and they don't.
The second item I ordered was supposed to be emeralds and was completely fake!
I had to incur valuation fees, return shipping fees and I am at a loss of more than £30k!
Do not trust this company! Completely unprofessional. Even their legal team doesn't respond.
After 2 months of requesting a return, I still don't have a way to return my item. I have called them more than 50 Times but no one cares, I will be very surprised if they survive as it's a fraud.
I have told them one of the sellers admitted to cheating customs and they did absolutely nothing about it!
I bought an item for 30,000 and the seller declared $150 for it.
Despite all those profits I still do not have a refund for my item and I still have to pay return fees of over £400 and call them constantly.
Do not fall in the trap and use this company. I am scarred by that experience and at a deep loss.

Answer: It's a real company. But as I have learned by experience their policies and buyer protection are a scam. They mark up prices and sell high. You over spend and no way to get a refund. I'm highly disappointed in their ethics. Don't buy, look elsewhere.
