Not What They Advertise

I ordered my flowers three weeks in advance for Valentines Day. Three weeks. I knew that day would be busy and that I needed to make sure my order would go through. So, three weeks later Valentines Day comes, and unlike the first time I ordered where they delivered the flowers in person, with a nice bouquet, what shows up to my wife's work is a box. Are you kidding me? A box. I was so embarrassed. I cannot believe this is considered acceptable. It was described as a "build your own" bouquet. I could have paid literally 1/3 of the price and done that myself! What was the point of buying it from them! Nowhere in my order was I told this! I will NOT be ordering from here again. Not to mention their prices they hide until checkout. I cannot believe this company. They are out for the money and getting in as many orders as they can and that's it.

Do. Not. Order.

I ordered a treat tower for my mom for delivery to her job for Valentine's Day. I placed the order on 2/4, plenty of time for them to arrange for delivery. I got the order number and tried to put it into the website for tracking, it said I have no orders. A couple days later I called because I needed to change the destination, as I found out my mom wouldn't be at work that day. Changes went through seemingly fine and I got a new order number to reflect the changes. Went to put the order number in online for tracking again, still said I had no orders. I just called this morning for the refund and the representative told me that the order had been put on hold for some reason due to the address change. I asked for a full refund and the representative didn't hassle me about it, but it was about a 10 minute wait, and I called at 6 am just to be sure I wouldn't be calling at a busy time. At least she didn't try to give me a credit or hassle me about the refund, only good experience I had with this company so far. Just hoping my refund won't get "put on hold" like my order somehow did. I wish I read reviews before purchasing, it doesn't seem that this company gets good ratings for a number of different reasons. Never ordering from them again. I'll stick with Edible Arrangements, where I've never had an issue.

Embarrassed and let down

I ordered my flowers for Valentine's Day over a month in advance they were supposed to be delivered by 5 p.m. local time at the latest. I called twice during the day and was misled by their customer service Representatives that the flowers were on their way. I was told the supervisor would call me, I never received a phone call back. I finally called again at 6pm and spent a total of over two and a half hours on the phone with customer service throughout the day the majority of which being on hold. These people do not care about your recipient or you.

Don't trust this company

I sent flowers to my daughter and I'm very disappointed. This company sells one product and delivered other. Also I applied a 20% discount coupon and on the checkout but their math gave me 15%. This discount came from the company I work and I will tell them what happened.
Never more I will use this company.
I will tell this to all my friends and family.

Incompetence at its best

Placed my order over two weeks ago thinking that since they had all that notice, my wife would get her bouquet before 2:00pm ct. Didn't happen. $70 later, she'll have a nice arrangement waiting for her on February 15th instead. This is not the first time this has happened. Will be ordering local from here on out and encourage everyone reading this review to do the same. I should've learned my lesson last time.

My wife loves flowers. I normally buy locally, but when I saw a picture of some roses from 1-800-flowers, I took a chance. First, the prices were veiled at best. Discount then add fees. Mention flex shipping is free then add shipping. My $30 order became $60. So then, my wife says the roses look terrible, and they did. They were cut staggard, the petals were limp and they smelled funny.

So, I complained on their facebook page. A pop-up asked me to IM them to get help. I did and was asked for my #, name, recipient name, and delivery date. As of writing this review, that was 7 minutes ago with no response.

Do not order from here, you can get more for less from a local florist.

P.S. The wrote back that the order was delivered today. Very helpful

My $70 flower arrangement looked like a grocery store $20 bouquet, and not the pretty ones. It was for a funeral. Their best option, let us redeliver a nicer bouquet. That's a little difficult. Plus they charged me twice

Uncaring, untrustworthy!

Ordered Birthday cookie basket for my fathers 95th birthday. I ordered 5 days before the date I needed it to arrive. It never arrived they never contacted me to tell me if there was a problem... they still don't know when it will be delivered... worst company ever... takes your money the day you ordered but doesn't deliver the product... I think that might be considered FRAUD! Worst customer service who's knowledge of the situation is mind blowing... total incompetence. I wish I had read the hundreds of BAD REVIEWS before I placed a 75.00 order that they got no idea why it wasn't delivered or when it might be delivered... I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THE FRAUDULENT COMPANY AGAIN NOR WOULD I ADVISE ANYONE TO ORDER FROM THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY.

In response to the company's satisfaction survey - which focused on the OVERSEAS CALL CENTER operator performance rather than the outcome of the transaction I had pre-paid for in good faith - I answered:
"If Marie Abbygail was responding per 1800flowers corporate guidelines then the problem is not so much her competency, but the standards with which the company conducts business. Unfortunately my call only resulted in a drawn-out waste of my time. I suspect that Marie was reciting the script exactly as she was trained to do, and where the script left off she repeated my own comments back to me as if it was her own unique understanding of my issue. Ultimately, when I finally received a delivery confirmation text hours past the morning delivery I opted to pay extra for (and after I had to find the answer for myself) the automated "thanks for trusting us" message solidified the fact that I will never again spend money with your (dis)organization. If waving your corporation's hands at the responsibility to properly fulfill orders and services that have been pre-paid for is the standard response to a customer's trust, then best of luck in the future where customer service is as highly valued as the quality or convenience of the goods and services."

Placed order for daughters birthday on 1/20/19 for delivery on 1/30/19, they never shipped them. I called and was connected with lady who didn't speak English very well and was difficult to communicate with. They did offer to deliver day after birthday and to knock $20 off the price. Not about the money, but they should have shipped no charge. They messed up but felt no pain from it. Will not use 800Flowers again.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

I regret that I had to assign even one star to 1-800-FLOWERS. I recently ordered flowers to be delivered to a friend who lost a family member. I paid extra for delivery on the day of the funeral. On the scheduled delivery day, I received a call and an email from 1-800-FLOWERS indicating there was an issue with my order. I called and spoke with a customer service representative who could not speak or understand English. I was told there was no issue and that the flowers would be delivered. They were not delivered. I called customer service again the following day and again was put on the line with a representative that could not speak English. After 15 minutes I was told that the flowers were not delivered because they could not contact the recipient by phone. When I asked why this was necessary and why the flowers could not simply be delivered I was not given an answer. I was repeatedly put on hold and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied. After being on the phone 40 minutes and being assured my order was "being processed" I was told the arrangement I ordered was not available. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? In short, after over an hour on the phone, I had to settle for a different arrangement and a delivery date three days after my requested delivery date. I still don't know if the flowers will ever be delivered. I spent $80 and an hour on the phone and did not get what I ordered and have no confidence my flowers will be delivered. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Local florists may cost more but in the end, it is worth it. I will NEVER use 1-800-FLOWERS EVER again in my life.

Funeral. Ordered flowers (not same day) for funeral of family member for casket. Called 1-800flower to make sure there was not problem because I had not received the 'delivery' confirmation (but they hit my credit card and sent my order confirmation prior). I was put on hold for 40 minutes then I heard a click and disconnection. I jumped on the live chat. After 10 minutes they told me that they contacted the flower shop and they had ran out of lilies and unfortunately never notified me. They said that it was too late to fulfil the order through another flower shop. Agreed they funeral has started. Do not use them. This was an excruciating painful and embarrassing lesson. No flowers at funeral.

Never Again!

I have used 1-800-Flowers in the past, but will never, ever use it again. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

A dear friend who moved to a different part of the country passed away. I ordered a lovely arrangement to be sent to the funeral home, paying with my debit card. The money was duly deducted from my account and notice sent that the arrangement was taken care of.

When I did not receive acknowledgement from the family, which was very uncharacteristic of them, I eventually asked about the arrangement to make sure it had been received. (By now, several weeks had gone by.) I was sickened to hear that it had not.

When I called 1-800-Flowers, the Customer Service Representative said, "Oh, we don't have any florists in that area that we're affiliated with. We tried to call you." But I have an answering machine, and had not received any messages... and 1-800-Flowers deducted payment in full for the delivery from my account! The Customer Service Representative said, "We'll refund your money"... the money that was taken for no flowers!

Had I not called my friend's family to follow through, 1-800-Flowers would have blithely kept every cent of my money and sent nothing. How many other unsuspecting people has this company taken advantage of, banking on them never checking that their "out of the area" gifts were received? How many other people also thought that their loving intentions were relayed, only to be taken advantage of in times of death or illness by 1-800-Flowers?

RUN, do not walk, away from this company. They are nothing more than thieves.

Never again!

Absolutely Pathetic!

I have never seen a more deplorable flower arrangement EVER! What I saw and ordered from the website looked NOTHING like what was delivered. The recipient sent me a picture of the arrangement and I was so embarrassed! 1800Flowers sent me $20 credit to be used on a future purchase. Will never happen! I will never use them again! There are more reliable flower vendors out there! DO NOT USE 1800 Flowers.

I have never been so unsatisfied with a business in my life! My husband and I thought we were getting pranked, that's how ridiculous this "business" is. I ordered a flower arrangement on a Monday to be delivered that Wednesday to the hospital where my mother in law was having surgery. They called up at the hospital and told me they said she wasn't a patient there. That's ridiculous I even gave them her room number. She went home Thursday so they missed that window. My husband and I went back and forth with them pissed off that they didn't deliver it so we had them send it to her home. Promised us they would deliver it that day. Nothing once again. Claimed she wasn't home. She just had surgery she can't just get up and leave the house. We talked with another agent that night saying they still had the hospital address in the system even though we changed it. Went through this whole thing again to find out the next day they once again didn't deliver because they still had the hospital address! We gave the home address one more time to find out they don't even deliver in that area! Why wasn't I told this in the first place? I've wasted about 5 hours of my life with these incompetent people because they are not organized and apparently have no idea what they are doing. Plus after I talked with the girl to get refunded, 2 more people called my husband trying to talk to him about the order! What? Told them we just want our money back and the guy said he will give us half off but won't be there until next Thursday! That's over a week after her surgery why would we do that! Needless to say this is the worst company ever I will never buy from them again and I really hope no one else does either to get them out of business so no one else has to go through this

I ordered flowers yesterday for my god daughters funeral service and specifically requested that they be delivered before 1:00 pm. (the service started at 1). I called the as I placed the ordered and spoke with a representative to confirm with me and even asked the representative for the florist number which they could not give me. I checked today on the status and was told that the florist did not have the flowers to fulfill the arrangement. What kind of answer is that. Use other flowers. No phone call to let me know. When I call 1-800 Flowers they said my number was disconnected. Have same number for 35 years. I am very disappointed and will never use you again.

Please do not use 1-800 flowers. I ordered the main arrangement from the family for my father's funeral. When it did not arrive we called. They refused to give the local name of the florist. We received an e-mail a few minutes later stating they were being created. They never arrived they finally admitted they were not able to contact the florist. They refunded my money, left our family very stressed and emotional at a time when we did not need this. When I e-mailed and complained they stated it was resolved and we got our money back. Very poor business. Will never use them again, even if they were free.

Get it together!

I bought a Groupon ($30 value for $15). Followed instructions to use it. When I chose the flowers I wanted and went to check out, the delivery fee should have been $14.99; instead it was double that (the day I chose on the calendar said $14.99). I could not see why it would be twice that so I had to call. I spent 15 min on the phone placing a new order so the rep could fix the charges; then told me instead of next day delivery (which on my end said was possible) it was going to take 4 DAYS. At this point I was annoyed and just wanted to use the Groupon and be done. Hopefully they get delivered but I should not have had to spend all of this time on the phone for a simple order. Every time I use this company I have a problem - it will be the last time :/
