Changed Delivery Date and the shipping service charge AFTER the order was placed!
February 24, 2023

Do Not Order from this company. They used to be reliable and I ordered for years from them with only minor issues. I will not ever again. If you do, ALWAYS check the confirmation e-mail that the company sends IMMEDIATELY! On a Wednesday, I placed an order for a funeral after spending hours getting just the right plant, fruit bouquet, and card to be delivered on Friday. The order total was approx $111. And I am 100% sure the delivery said Friday, because I had gone back several times cancelling items that would NOT be delivered on that exact DATE. Friday arrives, and mid-day I check the status of my order to be delivered... the delivery now says delivering NEXT THURSDAY. After going back to the confirmation e-mail, that I had not opened, not only did the date change, but the order now showed $158 total which included a $32 shipping fee! I am not new to the online ordering process and order items daily online. The idea of paying a $32 shipping fee for a delivery of over a week out, unless it requried extra processing time or was heavy, is unheard of. I would NEVER have agreed to that. If there are logistics or price changes that are made to an order after submission that completely change the order to this degree than more of an effort should be made to contact the customer. Even a subject line stating, IMPORTANT CHANGES would have been appreciated. I did call customer service, and was offered a reship of the items for the following day...but nothing about the increase in shipping. My recipient would not longer be at the address listed, and it was a fruit bouquet, so I demanded that the order be cancelled. I asked for a cancellation confirmation number or a reference number of any type to ensure this cancellation didn't wasn't lost.I was told we don't have one. You won't see the cancellation for up to 24hours, but if you have any questions my name is Brandon. I asked jokingly, and are you the only Brandon that works there? He informed me that he was (?) Brandon informed me a $30 priority gift certificate would be emailed to me for the inconvienence. I assured him it would not be used, and that I only wanted my order cancelled and full refund issued. I will check back in 24hours to see if the cancellation and CREDIT has been initiated. I am very dissapointed that this order could not arrive to bring some sunshine to my friend.

Tip for consumers:

Check the confirmation email closely!

Unreliable, unorganized!
August 20, 2022

I called on Friday around 230 pm to order flowers to be delivered the following day(Saturday) since I had used another flower company the day before and they failed to deliver, it was utmost time sensitive for me to have the flowers to be delivered by Saturday!
I asked the representative if they could deliver to Midway Utah, on Saturday and he told me yes they had local florist that would deliver! I proceeded with the order the total came to $112 and he told me of some paradise passport promotion where I pay $19.99 and receive a year of free delivery and since my delivery was $14.99 then it be only $5 more, I agreed and confirmed the total would be $117. I checked my emails 2.5 hrs later and had not received any receipt yet my account was charged $125 by 1800flowers! I called and after being on the phone w the representative for 21 min i was told the flowers could not be delivered since they did not hav florist to deliver flowers on Saturday and it could be Monday! I asked why 1- I did not receive any receipt email confirming my order and was told because the order could not be processed! 2- I asked why did they not send me an email that the flowers could not be delivered yet they have charged my account! I
Was told that was not a charge and it would fall off! 3- why was i charged $125 when i co firmed it w the representative that it was $117, I was told it was their system and the additional $6 was due to kind of delivery I was to have! At that point I requested my delivery to be cancelled and I to get full refund!, I was told they would refund me the amount for flowers but the passport I had to be transferred to their passport department! I had to wait and speak to another representative about my $19.99 refund! And she kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to cancel, why would i want the passport if I would never order from them again due to horrible and u reliable service i had received?! She finally understood and gave me the refund! What I hated most is the FAKE politeness of both representatives the whole time! It was as if they ridiculed me and that is not okay! I checked my email 7 hrs later and there was no email of the order nor cancelation! I had to call again and finally got them to email me the cancelation and i have to wait 6 days for the refund that originally i was told it was a pending charge and would "fall off"! I will never call this company and I hope by posting this review others do not order as well! I also hope someone in the company reads my review and do something about changing the way the business is run!
I have enclosed pic of my final email at midnite stating the cancelation but its funny how they have it as "the order did mot meet my expectations" haa what order? The order that was never filled yet my bank account charged for more than amount confirmed? The order that i never got a receipt?! What a joke of a company!
I truly hope someone from the company reads my review and do something about changing the way its run and if not any future client to please read my review and do NOT order from them!

Tip for consumers:

Do NOT order from 1800Flowers!!

They Never Showed Up!
February 22, 2022

I ordered a medium bouquet for my friends birthday and it never showed up! The original delivery was supposed to be delivered ON her birthday and she was disappointed when she didn't get anything in the mail. I even got a delivery confirmation that it had been delivered but it wasn't. I called 1800 FLOWERS and they rescheduled for another delivery with no extra fees. At first I thought, okay cool it'll just be a day late, and my friend was okay with it too. Well it wasn't cool at all. For the second time, it NEVER showed up. So, I call again (I have a headache at this point) and they tell me that they'll re deliver for free. Again. I told him no I would just like a refund at this point, I'll get her something different for her birthday. He pretty much told me no…that he will re-deliver one last time. So I pretty much got forced into be humiliated for a third time all over again. Flowers never showed up (not a surprise at this point) so yep you guessed it, I called and straight up asked for a refund. He told me he sent the refund straight to my account and that it'd take 5-7 business days. (The bouquet was $86 and some change with everything totaled up so this isn't just some pocket money I have laying around, this is a ton of money for some flowers that my friend never even got) 8 business days go by and I never got my refund. I call again and the lady I was speaking to gave me a really nasty attitude. It's almost as if she was accusing me of lying about never receiving the flowers…she kept asking me the same question over and over again — "so your friend never received the flowers." She had to have asked me this 20 times. I told her no every single time and she just kept beating around the bush almost like she tried to catch me in a false lie or something, absolutely nasty to do to a costumer. While I'm on the phone with her the line goes completely silent. I'm trying to talk to her and she's just not there…she either ignored me or put the phone down and walked away from it without telling me. I know she didn't put me on hold because they have music playing while you're on hold and there was no music, nothing. 15 mins go by of complete silence and I eventually just hung up. I call the next day, today, and I speak to another person who was way much kinder than the other lady. She apologized about the other lady's attitude and got everything sorted out for me (hopefully) and told me that she issued for another refund which will take 5-7 business days like before… if I don't get my money back in 7 days I'm going straight to my banking company and let them sort it out because I'm tired of being treated like trash when I'm a paying customer! DO NOT order from these people! They will give you the run around and take forever on giving you a refund! This company has really gone to sh*t.

Horribly appalling.
February 13, 2022

My order was cancelled and not delivered without my knowledge or approval. I opted for SMS updates and never received one. No attempt to contact me was made regarding my order being cancelled even though they cancelled it at 10:45am local time, and I had to contact them at 5pm local time to learn it was cancelled. The first person I spoke with (Angel) tried to tell me that business delivery ended at 5pm local time and never addressed when I showed her proof that the site says it ends at 6pm local time. She never answered my question about if delivery was attempted but kept saying "redelivery" as if it had been attempted. She also ended the chat before I was finished and she never verified if I needed more help. "I'm so sorry for this." and then ended the chat. I called to speak to someone (Kenneth I believe was his name) and he sounded completely unenthusiastic to have to be helping to the point where I even brought up how annoyed he sounded. "No, I'm trying to help you. I'm doing the best I can." He lied to me saying that the order was cancelled because the shop increased the price of the flowers but wouldn't tell me the name of the shop. I have now learned that others have received the names of the shops so he was trying to cover up his lie. I called every single shop in the area and located the shop that was going to fulfill the order and was told by them that they cancelled the order for no apparent reason at 10:45am local time today. After dealing with incredibly nice people at the local shop I called 1800flowers back and spoke with a woman named Floro wanting a full refund. I was told that no changes or cancels could be made since the order processed. I had to inform how it was their fault that the order got messed up and that I wanted a cancel and refund. She then could all of the sudden do cancels and told me that she would cancel and refund the full amount but that I wouldn't receive confirmation of refund via email for 30 minutes. After about 3 minutes I received confirmation of a refund via email so that was also a lie as well. However, no refund is pending in my account. I assume it will take a little time so I will check back tomorrow to see if it's pending. I'm absolutely appalled at the poor service and how willing this company was to ruin a special occasion without even so much as an attempt to contact me and inform me of any issues or changes. All I can say is I'm glad I checked on my order and that I found a local shop willing to go above and beyond to help me fix what they completely screwed up. Never ordering from here again.

Tip for consumers:

Use a local flower shop instead. This business is horrible.

DO NOT USE 1-800-Flowers UNLESS you want to have a horrible experience! All of the phone representatives do not speak very good English and they do not pay attention to details! I ordered a floral arrangement for an upcoming funeral this weekend. I spent 21 minutes on the phone placing my order and I had to phonetically spell out the entire recipients name, church and address of delivery… multiple times I had to repeat all of this information (literally 3-4 times). The call ends, and I later receive a voicemail stating they need me to contact them about my order. I call them back, and I had to pull up the email to provide my order# and realized the recipients name, church and delivery address all had multiple errors so there's no way this delivery would have been successful. The representative on the phone (my 2nd call) wanted to know the required delivery time (which I provided during my 1st phone call multiple times), but I provide the timeframe again and I explained the errors on my order. The representative assures me he will fix it right away and will send me a new email confirmation. I waited, but did not receive an email, so I decided to chat online because I can type out all the errors made and make sure this was corrected on their end. The chat representative had to make all of the corrections because the 2nd call representative never did what he assured me he would do. The chat representative now assures me everything matches now. Then I called to speak with a manager to provide feedback of my experience and he says he would call me back in 1 hour, but he never called me back. 5 hours later, I received a 2nd email order confirmation with all of the same errors that I had on my 1st email, so I logged into my order online and can see most of it was corrected, except the street name is still misspelled. So I call in again (3rd call) to get the street name corrected and I asked to speak with another manager because at this point I am beyond upset. I explained my entire situation and the street name was still incorrect, the manager was shocked that another manager said he would call me back and did not follow through with his commitment (to an upset customer) and agreed my experience was not good considering it was my first time using their company. This manager was very apologetic and made the correction to the street name and then sent me an email showing the correction made, and I also logged into my order online and confirmed it was also correct there. I'm thinking I am good to go now… BUT my husband noticed this morning we have 2 "pending" charges in our bank account for $160.71 each. So I called in again (4th call) and the girl tells me this is a pending charge to avoid fraud, it is not impacting my bank account and it will automatically be reversed within 3-5 business days. I can assure you this was impacting my bank because my balance in my account has been reduced TWICE (a total of $321.42)! I did another online chat and sure enough this was their explanation "After a careful review on your account, I only found one order for a total of $160.71. The other charge you see on your statement is only a pending authorization charge or a pre-authorization charge that will automatically be removed or fall off within 24 hours or within 3-5 business days depending how fast your bank processes the removal of the authorization. This is a security process to avoid fraudsters causing charge backs. As we have a lot of cases about frauds placing online using stolen credit cards, but we didn't take the actual charge, it's being held temporarily by your bank that will automatically fall off." The chat representative told me it will automatically fall off within 7 business days, then later says within 24 hours to 3-5 business days. Good thing I have enough money to cover these 2 "pending charges" even though I only authorized 1 charge to my account and no one told me or disclosed that there would be 2 "pending" charges either. If this is their process, they definitely need to tell customers about this process so they are aware! This is such a ridiculous experience and I would never recommend using 1-800-Flowers! Attached proof of 2 pending charges!

Tip for consumers:

You have to repeat things multiple times and it will still be wrong. Then they will charge your bank 2 pending charges for 1 order but never advise you about this process

This company is TERRIBLE
December 24, 2021

This company is TERRIBLE

Ordered xmas arrangement for deliver 12/21, containing a message inviting her to a New Years Eve Masquerade Ball.

Flowers never got delivered, learned about this late 12/22.

12/23 8 AM I contact them to see what happened, and arrange for replacement. Due to system issues and them not being able to access my order, this actually takes THREE HOURS of being on chat waiting and being on hold.

The company is to send replacement order, for delivery 12/23. At first they think they should be able to charge me 50% I tell them they failed to deliver, failed to deliver on the 2nd day, failed to notifiy me of the failure, and then disconnected on me, then due to disconnect couldn't get back into my order for over an hour without telling me why they kept on needing '
A few more minutes' and that was absolutely ridiculous that it took 3 hours to do this. I told them to think about how this would play out as a TV-Commercial, is that what they'd really want portrayed as their solution? They agree to a full refund and still send the replacement. They say they will keep in touch with me about the replacement.

I contact them at 3PM checking in, surprised I hadn't heard anything about the delivery yet. They say delivery might be as late as 8PM. Now I'm worried business might be closed by them. They take my number, to pass it to florist, to call me with update of if the flowers are out for delivery, or to tell me when they go out.

Never hear an update from them.

Call in on 12/24 because flowers weren't delivered. Want to know, did they deliver them after closing? What happened. Turns out they didn't hear anything at all back form the shop, seems like they didn't even make the order. Customer service person messed up and said that florist reached back out asking for more money due to the demand for the seasonal flowers. She probably wasn't supposed to share that, because I when I asked her to repeat and explain that, why they didn't respond to the florist either with more funds or swap out flowers, she just went into apology mode.

So the website is showing guaranteed xmas delivery if you make an order in the next 2 hours. Customer service is saying they can try for a 3rd attempt (assuring me they will make sure it gets delivered this time but not being able to say what they will do differently) I say, yes make a 3rd attempt (nothing to loose at this point). But now they are saying they will only be able to deliver the xmas arrangement with an xmas message on 12-27.

I tell them that it's stupid that they are sending an xmas arrangement with an xmas message after xmas, when I originally ordered on the 21st. I say I'd like to swap with something similar that isn't xmas themed. They initially refuse. I explain to them again that in my eyes sending an xmas themed arrangement after xmas is kind of a slap in the face, to me it says 'oops, we forgot about you, so last minute flowers!'

They eventaully agree to a nonxmas of the same size. I tel them I want them to include a message from 1800 flowers appologizing. They can't they can only add that to the original message. Okay fine. Now, i've seen sympathy boquets that have had 'I'm sorry' small ballons. No, they won't do anything like that.

To me, redelivering on 12/23 with a refund for all the time and effort I had to put in tracking down what actually happened was reasonable.

But now that the replacement failed, and the replacement-replacement won't get there until after x-mas I just think this cluster really deserves their management reaching out to the recipient and apologizing, Heck, send a second really small arrangement that specifically says 'we are so sorry we messed the order you were supposed to get TWICE.

It's amazing they claim they have a 100% smiles guarantee, and I had to fight them every step of the way for something I think is BARELY ADEQUATE.

don't ever order from here

Do not ever use them or join their membership!
July 22, 2021

Ordered 1 Flower arrangement for a funeral got signed up for a 19.99) yearly membership and some other title they called IdK what ( But it sells all your information to everyone! The flower deliver didnt happen on the day I requested rendering It mute. Ahh but the story gets more and more torturous and horrific than that! The delivery boy drove around for hours in extreme heat then reported the Address was fake( not true) then I called repeatedly and I was informed the delivery guy had GPS ( another lie!) Buy day two and 30 literal phone calls to and from 1800 Flowers I was told who the local florist was Conroys Flowers in Victorville, Ca less than a 10 minute drive from my home and on Palmdale Rd! They were given my numbers and email from 1800 dumbasses. And the delivery guy not only took nack the wilted flowers nack to the florist and went home. But He grabbed the same floral arrangement he drove around for hour's the day before that got Wilted aka( ruined) this order started our as a 45$ arrangement that turned to over 90$. The next day he delivered the ( A shocker since the day before he was soo lost he claimed It was a fake address) CYA delivery moron! Then I was emailed repeatedly that they were delivered. Then told in what condition, ruined! So 4 calls later they offered me 30 % iff mt next order! Um If you cant get one right and multiple lies and charges. There will be no orders ever using your company! So days of phone calls back and forth they kept my $$- 10 $ then refused to refund my yearlong membership. To add more insult to injury and humiliation to me/ and the grieving family. And out 89$. I start getting wmails 5 times a day and night from 1800 dead flowers! I tried to stop the emails and opt out of notifications via the opt out button on the email but of course the Link didn't work! So another phone call and they wanted my name and order number of the 1 and only first time I used them disaster to stop emailing me. All while still calling me a member! Which i made clear almost a month prior I was not a member I would never ever use their nightmare service again! But nooo they cant let that go. Why? Because they refused to refund my 1 year 19.99 membership and respect my request never to hear from them again!

Extremely Disatisfied
May 12, 2021

This company should be rated absolutely no stars at all! Place an order for my husband's mother for Mother's Day the day before mother's day to be delivered on the sameday. Order was not delivered not even on the holiday. On Mother's Day I called back to see the order's status, they said that the order would be delivered on the Tuesday after the holiday. On Tuesday the order was not delivered. On Wednesday both my husband and I called 1-800-FLOWERS to explain our disappointment and was on the phone with multiple agents who continusly hungup on us. After a 30 minute hold the second agent by the name of Anndania was extremely disgusting and disrespectful, she couldn't do her job or even understand how to use the computer. Multiple times she threatned to hangup and told me to shut up. She placed me back on hold... this person obviously does not deserve to have a job. The company has not sent any confirmation emails or provided me with any confirmation refund numbers. The company cancelled the order and without our approval, after the 4th time calling, agent by the name of Kashan was willing to help me and process a full refund for the order which was over $90. This gentleman was the only person who knew how to do his job, practically in the entire customer service department of this company. I recommend NO ONE TO EVER USE THIS COMPANY! IT IS A DISGRACE AND AN EXTREME HASSLE.

Customer Service REALLY needs work!
May 7, 2021

UPDATE:
Received an email stating they are sorry my order is delayed. They would like to reimburse me half of what my order cost ($27). I was also informed that my order will arrive on Monday. It arrived in Tennessee on May 5th and didn't leave Tennessee until May 7th and now won't be delivered until May 10th. I explained to her that these flowers are delicate and I have very little confidence that they will arrive in a suitable condition. I requested my order be cancelled and I will go to a local flower shop and hand deliver them myself!

My second order is out of state from me and I was told would be delivered today (ONE DAY LATE)!

I placed an online order for Mother's Day.

I contacted 1800 Flowers because my order was supposed to be delivered on May 6th. When I checked tracking, it stated "Scheduled Delivery Pending".

So, I contacted them through Chat and gave all the information requested (I was disconnected somehow and now I'm back on another chat still waiting). I've already had two messages saying my chat is ending due to inactivity.

All I received is that they are sorry that my delivery didn't arrive when scheduled (still hasn't arrived) and that they will send me a $20 "voucher" to my email inbox for future use. I don't know the agents name because it didn't tell me. It just says "Agent". But I was also informed that the order will be redelivered next week. Then when I asked "So, both of my moms (my mother and mother in law) will not get their flowers on Mother's Day?

This is their insensitive reply:

"I understand that it's for Mother's Day but you can still make it up to them by making sure that they receive this. Like what they say, it's better late than never, they would still feel that you made an effort in making sure that they get something grand for Mother''s Day."

I placed the order with the expectation of it being delivered on the day I requested and paid for. Instead, I'm getting a whopping $20 bucks to be used at 1-800 flowers ONLY and still no delivery date other than "sometime next week" and I should appreciate that they will still get their flowers (maybe) and that my moms should be happy knowing that I thought of them even though they "might" receive their flowers LATE.

How is this helpful? It is Friday, May 7th. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 9th.

I've used this company several times in the past and never had this problem. But I wished I would have read the reviews FIRST! Now I'm out my MONEY AND FLOWERS! Going on my third "time out" on chat!

Tip for consumers:

Use a local florist.
