On my previous review I may have jumped the gun but now I understand we all get frustrated and we are only human. I placed an order 121623, (#49932860), and the first red flag should've been 2 different prices! 60.84 in the beginning, and then 79.03 after the customer service rep applied a "discount"! But, I really needed the part and ever place else had them on back order. I get an alert that fedex delivered the package 122423, and since it was a long weekend, I was out of town. The package was put in my mailbox, according to the photo, I get back in town tuesday, no package in the mailbox,I contact carid, they say "search around", I searched the property, no package. Contacted them again, they say "file a police report!". The police wouldn't file a report since it was left in the mailbox, instead of the porch, where fedex normally leave packages. The police say "contact the post office!". The post office couldn't act, because it wasn't a package that was sent through the US mail!. Carid won't give me a refund or a replacement!, even though? I followed all of the steps on the carid website regarding replacements. So I'm stuck paying for a part I never received. The run around and buck passing. So I Plan to warn my social media groups and followers to avoid these people at all costs.

I understand your frustration but the total on your order includes the shipping cost and tax. The shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden, just close the page or get back to the cart.

We tried to file a lost package claim with the shipping carrier but it was denied due to them having proof of delivery. Regretfully, CARiD is not responsible for the theft of any packages lost.

I paid $285 for hood delivery and I was promised to receive it in up to 4 days.
It took them 10 days even that I paid that much money for shipping. They will promise you anything you want so you buy stuff from them.
Never again! Definitely not recommend them to anyone

My husband ordered a part for my car the wrong one was sent. We sent it back and tried again for the correct part. This has been 2-1/2 months ago. We asked for a refund and have been given the run around. They owe us almost $90.00 and when we asked to speak to a supervisor or manager they wouldn't let us. We will not be using them ever again and I'm trying to figure out how to get our money back but we probably won't.

Total rip off. They charged $35 shipping for a seat towel. No thanks. What a joke. Complete scam. And they don't tell you the cost of shipping until after you click Apple Pay. False misrepresentation. That's a crime down here in Florida. LOSERS!

CarId has no interesting in assisting customers after they have given them money. Even if you think you are pretty safe with your order, having used their "My Garage" part fitting, I promise you are in danger of losing your money in exchange for nothing but a headache.
I provided my year, make and model to a customer service rep. I even gave them my VIN just to be sure that the $400 I dropped was not for the wrong parts. Weeks went by and my parts arrived (in a damaged box) but the parts themselves looked undamaged. I purchased a grill for my car, the grill that arrived looked to be the correct size, and had no obvious damage, so I proceeded with the installation. After a couple hours of installing the new grill, making note of the poor quality and mounting solutions, I discovered that the grill did not fit! Either because it was for the wrong year, or because it was such a poorly made grill that it was not designed to do anything more than pass a visual inspection. The grill was installed correctly, as per instruction. And yet it was clear the part would not allow the hood of the car to shut, or the bumper to completely reseat.
I contacted CarId, confident that the guaranteed fit they gave me would qualify me for some assistance in either getting the correct part sent to me, or at least my payment back. I did not expect that the first rep would be outright refusing to assist, and would close our conversation before even allowing me to get a transcript. Nor did I expect the second rep to be only marginally more patient prior to directing me to their return policy and then doing the same. Their policy states if you so much as take the parts out and attempt to install them, you are cooked. There was no way to tell this grill was incorrect prior to installation, but then again perhaps that was the intention. After all what better way to make money than to sell bogus parts and then refuse to assist afterward.

Tip for consumers:
I think everyone using the website should be aware that even if the website says it will fit their car, it very possibly will not. And I think everyone that uses the website should know that even if the parts they were guaranteed to fit do not actually fit, they will be refused any sort of reimbursement.

I did not end up using any products, as they were all garbage. However I purchased a "grill" for nearly $400.

I ordered a hood and paid for it, the moment I received confirmation I noticed I selected the wrong hood so I contracted them immediately. The person I was in contact with was able to help me with my issue but they had to charge me a fee due to the price difference between the hood which I agreed to and paid immediately. They had informed me that the exchange has been made and I should get the correct hood. 4 days later I contacted them again in the morning just to confirm and I was told that the hood was exchanged. Within a few hours later I got confirmation that my hood shipped I was excited but when I looked at the hood that they shipped it was the wrong one so I immediately contacted them. The lady I spoke to on the phone was nice but unhelpful. She said I have to take and shipment and sign for it, I told her no because that would mean I was agreeing to and accepting the shipment even after I paid more for it. She said I will have to return the hood before they can issue the right one. This will take another 5 to 7 days then I have to wait for them to clear it and then ship out a new one which again will take 5 to 7 days. At this point I am mad.
You billed me more screwed up and want me to wait over 14 days for a hood.
I'll not recommend this place to anyone and this is just my honest opinion.

I purchased what I thought from the image that was supplied to me by this company for. Hood nuts, especially for the price that I paid. What I received was only one and in the image that I will provide. You can clearly see 4. And I do not see under any description that it's only one that you be purchasing. I spent over $1200 for wheels and tires. Initially the wheels I purchased the estimated ship date was two weeks out from my purchase date. Once a couple days past the estimated ship date I got no email regarding a tracking info. I called the wheels and tires specialist and they informed me that the wheels I purchased were out of stock and backordered for six months. Why would they sell me wheels that aren't in stock and why do I have to be the one to call them to find out that. They should take the initiative to give me a call back. So I ordered a new set of wheels and once those arrived at my house, one of the wheels didn't have the balancing weights attached on the inside and another wheel was missing balancing weights. It says the wheels come mounted and balanced but clearly the balancing wasn't done and now I have to take my wheels and tires to a shop and pay even more money to get them balanced. I tried calling the wheels and tires specialist at 4pm PST but the automated message said they were closed even though it says they close at 6pm PST on their website. At this point the least they can do is pay for my balancing that I will have to get done at a local tire shop. If I'm paying over $1000 I'd expect them to properly ship my tires and wheels in a timely manner and even do the balancing correctly. UPDATE: They were able to compensate me for the balancing and installation of the wheels and tires.

Purchased item (mirror) that is not an appropriate fit for my motorcycle. Customer service informed me that I should resell it to a friend or neighbor due to the restocking fee. Unhelpful and rude during the interaction. Definitely not a company I would repurchase from unless I knew the product was an exact fit.

I ordered a body kit and trunk spoiler for a sportscar. The shipping fee was $79 and the total purchase came to a little over $800.9 days after they took my money, which would have been a binding contract for that amount I am pretty sure, I received an email stating that they needed $286 more for the shipping. Of course I canceled the order. And then waited 4 days to get my money back that they took immediately by the way at the initial purchase. Scam company.

They only give you a 30 day period to return cores, yet they charge you an astronomical amount for the core so they can make some extra money. I ordered a steering box from them right before covid hit and was not able to return my core. I was legally NOT allowed to cross. I then asked them to consider this as I am able to go down now. Nope, they don't give 2 $#*!s. The guy on live chat was just rude. He didn't care that I was not physically allowed to cross. Just a "Nope, you are past the 30 days." FYI, 30 days is nowhere near long enough. Some guys won't even get to the job until 2 month later. It should be at least a year.

Ordered a grille advertised as in stock and discounted 12/21. They contacted me via email on 12/22 saying that the order could not be fulfilled. They claimed their vendor could not supply the part in time and it was cancelled for that reason. I asked for a suitable replacement at same cost and they sent me another link to the same part number for a much, much higher price. When I asked why they said the website was not updated and the advertised price was not accurate. Bait and switch. I asked for a refund immediately as they had already charged by card for the full price plus shipping and they refused citing their 7 day refund policy. It has since been 7 days and still no refund. Customer support is refusing to refund at this time. They are absolute scam artists and should be out of business. I have had to file a chargeback and report with visa and consumer affairs of Nj.

Updated 9/6/22: Whatever issues I had with CARID have been resolved as they did the right thing and refunded my purchase. As such I would consider ordering from them again as they have regained my trust. Thanks!

I bought a set of Spyder headlights for my truck from CARID and was told by one of their sales reps in an email that they'd fit my truck. Well they didnt fit so I asked to return them. First they told me I ordered incorrectly (despite their own sales rep sending me a link to these headlights telling me they fit my truck) and they wouldnt process my return. After complaining and waiting another two weeks they finally sent me a return label. Two week later I was told they coudlnt process my refund because the vendor said "the lens was scratched" which is complete nonsense. My mechanic buddy and I knew immediately upon opening the box and comparing my headlights to the SPYDER lights that they wouldnt fit so right back in the box they went and I personally wrapped them in the original packaging and sealed the box so it could survive anything. They doubled down on the lights being damaged and denied my return again. I CRIED because I needed that money to get the right headlights. I have no doubt neither CARID or Spyder ever had any intention of refunding my money. Then to make matter even worse they sent me an email telling me theyre going to charge me to ship the headlights back to me! In all my years of buying things online I've never had such a horrific experience buying anything. These people are just bad businessmen who think its OK to just take your hard earned money and let YOU take your chances on being able to return the product. THINK TWICE... no think 10 TIMES before ever ordering from them.
PS. The headlights were sent back in the exact condition they were received. Regardless I'd never be in this situation if their sales rep hadn't recommended these lights for my truck! Bad customer service all around AND I'm out $526.00 no matter how they spin it.

I had two headlights that needed to be returned because they no longer adjusted at all. I received a return label from car ID and they were shipped back to them in November 2023. It is now January 31 and I still have not received my refund. Each every time I send them an email I do receive a response, but it is only lip service. I understand that the headlights are manufactured by Snyder and they seem to do nothing about the return with car ID. Car ID always tells me wait, wait, wait one more week. Wait, one more week wait, 24 to 72 business hours wait, wait and wait. We're talking about $800 here which Snyder refuses to send back for their defective product.

The customer service agent should have asked for the VIN nbr to make sure I ordered the correct part. Now connection dimpled and return denied. $400….SHOT. I've offered to pay for a new plug also(so far no response). I get a lot of lip service from customer service. I don't think they know the meaning of customer service. I have asked for the wiring schematics for the head light several times and I'm still waiting after 4-5 days. Every time I receive a response says 3 to 5 business days. So far i'm VERY disappointed. If my mechanic is able to wire it to my automobile, we'll see if the headlight works as it should. If good, I will revise this posting.

If a headlight, give them VIN number, even if they don’t ask for it,so they don’t send you the wrong part!!!!!

Bought AVS IN CHANNEL Vent Visors for 2018 Ford Edge Titanium. Front visors didn't fit and easily cracked while trying different placement.

Have dealt with at least seven different customer service reps. One said via email if defect claim was accepted full refund of purchase price $64.99, plus OUTRAGEOUS shipping cost of $52.81 would be refunded in FULL, total $117.80

Received confirmation claim was accepted. Five days later when I inquired about refund I was told I was not going to receive refund, but they would ship me another package of the same product!!!

WOW, Thanks for sending me more GARBAGE!

When a customer reports that the part is damaged, we ask them to provide photos to file a damage claim with the shipping carrier. The final decision on the claim is made by the shipping carrier - they decide whether the claim will be approved or denied. I ordered several small parts for a total of $17.64 and then was charged $65.64 for shipping, The parts could have fit in the palm of my hand and the shipping was $65.64. I could have had the parts shipped from around the world for that price. RIP-OFF don't do business with this company.

I purchased a Ford Motorcraft Power steering rack, the package was damaged during shipping. The hose was bent during shipping. I was told they would send a replacement and then days later I was instructed that a replacement was not available and asked what my options were as it had been days and the mechanic wants it out of his shop. I mentioned that the mechanic offered to buy a new line and install it and I was told to go ahead and install it and they would offer me a credit towards the labor and So i told the mechanic to put it in. Immediately upon installation there was binding in the steering, so the mechanic did not swap the part and called me. I immediately called Car-ID back who told me that now they could not help me because I had the part installed. But that is what they told me to do since they didn't have a replacement. I have been back and forth with them about this and wish I had disputed my credit card charge at this point.
They finally offer me a return, but then ask me to sign a paper stating that the part was never installed and if it shows signs of installation I would be denied my refund. Same paper for returning the core! How the heck is the core supposed to never be installed? What kind of BS is this? How else would I know the new part was defective if I never installed it?

All I can say is buyer beware! If they send you a bum part, you are $#*! out of luck! They won't honor the stated warranty, refuse to put in a claim for shipping damage and only offer refund of shipping and a $25 credit towards a future purchase? This part cost me almost $600! Not to mention I had to pay to shop labor to have it installed, now they won't even honor the warranty and I can't even get my core credit returned!

Update: after a month of playing games with me am finally getting a refund (which takes 48 hours).
Am so disappointed at this company they are terrible and their customer support is more then terrible. Alison Rhode the person responding to Negative reviews on the website was not helpful at all and did not took any matter to solve the case.
Resolution, complaint filed with the FTC and going to small court for damages to business due to their ineffective way of operation and lack of customer service.
Don't buy from em do not recommend.
Shame on you car I'd.

They have NO IDEA what they are doing. I ordered a simple wiring harness for an after market radio. During a chat with the CARiD representative, they recommended a product. I ordered what was recommended and when installing found out it wasn't even close to the correct one. I contacted them and was required to send my VIN# and pictures of their product and my OEM and Aftermarket radio. They couldn't figure out that it wouldn't work although obvious since theirs had 1 connection but I needed 2 connections. They basically told me I was incorrect and that the product would work. After many turse words and telling them that they are incompetent they finally gave me a $10 gift card (no thanks) and today they are finally going to issue a full refund. Whew. Why would you order from such a crap company ever again. They just need to close down and give up!

I ordered a rear differential cover for my truck. When trying to check order status the order could not be found I waited and gave it more time. In the mean time I contacted them for a rear axle assembly. They seemed confused between front and rear and said the don't have one for this vehicle. I contacted zumbrota the front for the axle thur the their web page I was told 5 to 7 days to get a core for rebuild. Cairds web page after 4 days still could not find my order I canceled when looking at the axle cover I found the manufacturer was listed going directly to their site the part was also listed. It appears ciard middle mans items. I recommend look elsewhere. Still waiting for refund will contact paypall in a couple of days and file a dispute if nothing happens.

Ordered an Auto Tecknic trunk spoiler with 3M tape included but not received, after I complained they removed the "included" word from website, spoiler only, they charged for shipping same as the product value and I had to pay UPS same again on delivery, from Canada you can't return without loosing the shipping and customs. After I contacted customer service few times, Mila was great helping with refund the UPS overcharge at delivery. Hopefully this is an isolated case as UPS was always great with our deliveries!

Tip for consumers:
Prices are in $US no matter you chose your country currency, you find out at checkout that shipping is overpriced and UPS is overcharging again at delivery!

I will never order from these clowns again. Class III hitch was shipped in plastic wrap which is a joke for a 40 lb hunk of metal. Hitch scratched down to bare metal in multiple locations and sent it back. Multiple emails to customer service w/o satisfactory resolution. Promises made by customer service that came and went w/o any kind of follow up. Never ordering from these $#*! hats again!
