  • Marshalls

I love shopping at the physical Marshalls locations, but my first online experience at Marshalls.com was not pleasant. I purchased a few items that needed to be returned. Return policy states that returns can be made FREE in store. When I tried to return some items, I was told I needed to "go to a different store" (that was 5 miles away). When I went to the particular store, they told me that I had to go to another store to do that return, as they don't "sell that department". The store that the 2nd Marshalls directed me to was 10 miles away! It's ridiculous. I contacted Marshalls.com customer service and they sent me a return label. But deducted me $10 for the return label! It's ridiculous. Will not be shopping at Marshalls.com again.

Be warned if you purchase an item that your local Marshalls does not carry in that particular department.

  • American Airlines Group

I purchased airline tickets to Florida for a planned Disney Cruise. But due to the pandemic, Disney Cruise cancelled and I requested a refund on American Airlines website and they IMMEDIATELY approved of the refund (instead of flight credit) for the flights. They didn't give me any hassles and I did not need to call in to fight for my refund (unlike other airlines). I had to call NUMEROUS times and write letters to the other airlines for similar situations and the other airlines (United and Delta) were not as accommodating as American Airlines.

I greatly appreciate the honoring of the refund, even though the flight was considered "non-refundable". The covid19 pandemic has definitely interrupted the world and I'm happy that American Airlines are able to accommodate their clients. I will now only purchase flights from American Airlines and will tell my family and friends to do the same.

Thank you so very kindly for your amazing service. It does not go unnoticed.

I absolutely love ZAPPOS! Have been shopping with them for years. Their shipping speed is lightening fast! They back up their shoe guarantee with a 365 return policy. Additionally, returns are free! You can't really beat that policy. Whenever I purchase the wrong size on a particular shoe, ZAPPOS has a great exchange policy. They will ship you a new shoe immediately and give you some time (I believe 10 days) to return the shoe that doesn't fit.

Furthermore, every time I've contacted their customer service, I've always received the best support, friendly and helpful. Continue to do what you guys are doing and you will have lifelong customers like myself. I am completely satisfied each time I shop here.

Give them a try. You will NOT be disappointed!

Thank you Zappos for continuing to exceed my expectations.

  • Nordstroom

My experience with Nordstrom.com has mainly been pleasant. They have the BEST refund policy there is. Refunds are free and there is no time limit on refunds issued. There were a few occasions where I encountered mishaps, but it's so far and in between that it doesn't deter from my shopping experience. One time, an order didn't arrive (small ring), and I didn't catch it in time. Apparently, they only allow 30 days for you to review your items and notice anything missing. Easy if you only buy a few items, but during Christmas time, when many items are purchased, it's hard to keep track of little items such as a ring. They didn't issue me a refund for the ring that never arrived. Good thing it wasn't too expensive, otherwise, I'd be fuming. Another mishap occurred when I ordered $300 Beats headphones. It wasn't what I expected, so I sent it back for a refund. After months of not getting a refund, I contacted customer service and they could NOT locate the order. Luckily, I had saved the receipt from the post office to prove that I had sent the item. Thank goodness, because if I didn't save the post office receipt, Nordstrom could not have located the item. Nordstrom blamed the post office for losing the item, but when I spoke to the post office, they sent me an exact item destination print out of where the item was. Turns out, Nordstrom people lost it (which happens), but I'm glad it turned out fine. Had my package been lost and I was not refunded the $300, I would have been furious!

I've been shopping at Nordstrom.com for years and these two mishaps are not strong enough for me to be dissatisfied or deter me from shopping at Nordstrom.com.

  • United Airlines

My family and I love to travel and we book several trips each year. Unfortunately, due to the 2020 Covid19 pandemic, many of our trips were cancelled that were completely out of our control. I've booked several airlines for our trips (Delta, American Airlines, United Airlines and JetBlue). All of the airlines initially wanted to issue only a flight credit. I had to speak to a few representatives and write a letter to receive a REFUND from Delta and JetBlue. American Airlines had a "refund request" form on their website which I filled out. It was very simple and convenient and they approved of my refund request after a few days (no need to speak to an agent).

United, on the other hand, refused to budge on giving us our flight refund. United Airlines boast on their ability and capability of being the top airline, but I beg to differ. Given my experience during this pandemic with 4 airlines, I can say confidently that United Airlines ranks at the bottom of my airline experience. I will NOT be purchasing flights from United from here on out. Additionally, I will inform my friends and family of their horrible service. They are taking advantage of hard working families who has been heavily impacted financially due to the pandemic by withholding their money and denying a refund.

There are so many angry clients that there is a Facebook page called "Complaints against United Airlines". You can read the complaints and issues there from other clients as well.

DO NOT BE FOOLED by this airline boasting they are the top in airline service.
I am very disappointed by United's lack of ethics, morals and understanding of the impacts the current pandemic has on travel.

Save yourself the money, energy and peace by avoiding United Airlines!

  • CheapOair

I purchased on CheapOAir for the first time and came across many issues. The airlines continuously changed flights and the place we were traveling were closed due to covid19 restrictions. I called numerous times within a few weeks, but couldn't get a hold of anyone. I then wrote a letter and emailed it to the company. 3 months had passed and I still haven't heard back. Finally, I was able to get through with someone through the chat function. I informed them of the issue and they told me I had to contact the airlines myself. This was the first time I purchased through a 3rd party and will never do it again. If they were the ones who charged me the $$, they should be the ones to issue me the refund and handle the airline issue themselves. They're quick to take your money, but when issues arise that are out of the traveler's control, they will not accommodate you.

Additionally, the representatives were not able to help me and they continuously transferred me to so many other different representatives, to which I had to explain my issue all over again.

I will NOT be using their service in the future again.

Beware!

  • ASOS

8/5/20

I stumbled across ASOS.com 1.5 years ago and have been religiously shopping there. They have a great return policy - Free returns within 30 days. Their clothes are not as consistent in size and quality, but I find more cute clothes than not. They have such a large array of clothes!

The cons about shopping here is that your items will most likely always arrive much later than the expected arrival date. But I honestly don't mind that issue. Also, I encountered an issue once, where they shipped the wrong size on an item that I purchased with a 30% off code. When I informed them that it was their mistake and that they should honor me the 30% off code for the right size, they didn't honor it. That was a frustrating experience, but I only encountered that one issue in the span of a year of continually shopping with them. If that was my first experience with this company, I would not continue shopping there. But since the positives outweigh the negatives, I will continue spending my money shopping here.

I would recommend shopping here!

  • Windsor

Windsor has the cutest clothes for the best price. I always get the most compliments when wearing their items. The clothes are consistent and true to size. I'm petite and their clothes fit my body type very well. They have a decent return policy as well. Additionally, their customer service is responsive and very helpful.

I have been shopping at Windsorstore.com for years now and they are my favorite online store to shop at.

  • ModCloth

8/21/19

I ordered from ModCloth the first time and they shipped the WRONG shoe SIZE. Upon receiving the order, I immediately contacted customer service regarding this issue. I received a response stating that my size was STILL IN STOCK and that they've shipped me the correct size. The following day, I received another email from Rachel, the customer care representative, stating that they again, made a mistake, and that my size was NOT available. Had ModCloth actually shipped the CORRECT SIZE initially, maybe it would not have run out of stock. To state that they still had my size and then retract that a day later added to the frustration.

The customer care rep stated that she can offer a 20% discount. 20%, really? I had a 15% off code as a new customer. That was not enough to quell my frustrations with them for their mistake. Additionally, they currently have a 30% dresses and sale items, but can't give me a 30% off due to their mistake. That is beyond me.

All I do is shop at online retailers, so I have plenty of experience with customer service. ModCloth does not care about keeping their customers satisfied. Stay away from this online retailer. I refuse to shop here ever again, even if they provide me with a 50% off code!

STAY AWAY!
