Every year I head to Lillehammer (Norway), a perfect ski resort. I usually spend my winter holidays there with my family. Once, my wife stumbled upon a great hotel Lillehammer Hotel at Zenhotels.com. We had some minor issues upon our arrival (the hotel required us to pay for our room; however, it had already been paid with my wifes credit card), as soon as we called ZenHotels customer support, everything was sorted out and we were successfully checked in. I consider it was hotels fault, so I am quite satisfied with my first Zenhotels experience.

They always manage to fix all the problems but anyway service is not perfect. But I'll keep using it anyway cuz everything else is even worse :)
I used ZenHotels for the first time to find a hotel in New York for a board business meeting. My colleague from NY suggested this site for me. I booked a room at just 700 meters form the business head offices! The room rate was fabulous and this is the best rate I got after I checked other booking sites. For me is very important to get a great price and the commodity when I travel for work. I will use them in the future for sure.
I booked a hotel through this website but the hotel says that they have still not received the payment from this website as they have not released the payment yet from their end even though i have done a full payment... this zen hotel company is a scammer they will run with your money. Everytime i call them they say that they are working on my issue but its been four days and still no resolution. Highly unprofessional of them. Big scammers.

My issue was resolved...they released the money and got resolution...thdy are not scammers as i have not faced the similar issue again and again booked the hotel multiple times from them after the resolution..
Really this website(ZenHotels.com) is my favorite. The booking system here was very easy. I used this website to book the hotel many times. And after contacting the hotel, everything was okay to check the booking. I have no complaints and there was no problem later. They customer care was very helpful. I would highly recommend them. If I could leave -999 stars, I would. Long story short. I got frauded by the company. When I shopped online, I found a cabin-like room with two beds. I booked it a day before the trip and when I received a confirmation, the room type says."tent"? So I was confused. I called right away and this rep did not speak ENGLISH at all! And then he managed to hang upon me! I did not even yell at the customer rep.
So I reached out to them and demanded that the money should be refunded to me and I had to pay more for an alternative because I had to book it last minute. They agreed to give me my money back. Well, good right? Well, that was ALMOST TWO MONTHS ago. I have followed up with them almost EVERY SINGLE WEEK. But a different person answers my email every single time and no action has been made.
Used it for the first time and surely not the last. I found a better offer for the Peninsula Paris from all the other sites, and i am sure that this website will be my first choice during my next search.
Two weeks ago I had a trip to Beijing and everything was okay until we arrived at the hotel (we booked with another popular service).
Noone at the reception could find our reservation or confirm that it was cancelled. So we tried zenhotels and booked the room in the same hotel! They've send me the confirmation in 5 minutes and in 20 minutes I've checked in.
I booked a Red Lion Hotel through them. I got turned away at checkin. They couldn't find me an alternative place to stay for the night. They are truly horrible. I had a small child with me and it was not a very good start to enjoy Disneyland.
Update:
I received a refund for difference in finding alternative accommodations for the night. Even though it was less than ideal the night I needed a room, they did rectify the matter later which showed that they do care. I will give them another chance in the future, and will give them another star for making this right.

Booked an hotel on the 7th May and made the full payment. A couple days later contacted the hotel but they could not find my reservation. Have been in contact with zenhotels.com since the 21st May and, so far, the hotel still does not have the reservation. Have been in contact with Zenhotels customer service almost daily but until not they were unable to solve this issue.
UPDATE
I would like to inform that I was always in contact with zenhotels and they were always helpful in trying to resolve the situation. I'm sorry it took some time to get an answer but in the end everything was resolved. I can confirm that I have already received a refund. At the moment I have no reason to complain about zenhotels and therefore I am revising my evaluation of the company.

I was able to find a good hotel for a cheaper price than anywhere else. Their booking service is the best, I have absolutely no complaints and I highly recommend their service to every traveler for the most amazing experience.
It was a good experience to book through Zenhotels, though there was an initial conflict as they changed my hotel with a nearby one and compensating me, but sure it is a respected site to book through
Guys, PLEASE! I strongly advise to send emails to all your non refundable clients and explain the situation with covid! And please put this information on your websites! This is ridiculous! Your customer service doesn't have time to answer all the questions. I don't blame them but why do you guys can't even think and make life easier for us? If I knew that I need to cancel my non refundable booking and than just wait for the news about refund, I would do that immediatly rather than to try to call you during the day!

I paid the full amount still the hotel not booked. Seeing all the reviews of people's bad experience with Zenhotels tried to contact hotel and got to know my room not booked. Lucky that I got to know this before my visit. Still trying to contact the customer care representative but still no response.

A must-have app imo. We recently had a trip throughout through the Europe. We had to book hostels everyday and every time everything was great.
We had to call ZH's support once because the hostel couldn't find our booking number but it worked our in 10 minutes. (We just told the receptionist our names instead of reservation number)

I had a booking through these guys. Our flight was cancelled so I called to cancel my reservation about 7 pm local time. The booking was under cancellation penalty already and I was annoyed as I had to cancel not because of my own mistake and still was charged, so i sent a very unpleasant letter to their customer support. Later I got an email from them saying that even though there was a cancellation fee, they had asked the hotel to make an exception were not going to charge me! I was impressed by their quick and polite answer to my complaint and by the solvation!
